I've been here several times to service a few cars and have never had a bad experience. It's conveniently located in the parking lot of Springfield Town Center, so you don't have to sit there and wait in their lack luster waiting area. DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!!! My experience with this company was very TERRIBLE!! I took my car to get the water pump replaced and they recommended that I also had to change the timing belt. I was charged $1,400. When I got my car back, the motor was leaking oil. They didn't take any responsibility for that. Which in the first place was perfectly fine before I took it to them. We followed up with an investigation and they refused to cooperate. The car was in my parking lot for 15 days, I couldn't move my car at all because all the oil from the motor had been drained completely. They denied any responsibility. On their website, they recommend scheduling an appointment so that you don't have to wait. Even if you schedule an appointment, you'll have to wait. An hour after my appointment time, my service still had not been started. I had to leave and the kid told me that, "we're kind of like a doctor's office." No, kid, I don't wait an hour after my scheduled appointment at the doctor's office either. And since their prices aren't worth waiting on, save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more

So we took my car back today & like I said prior I would give a second review upon completion of the work needed for my vehicle. I would like to tell Spencer the manager Thank You! You are the reason we will be a returning customers & telling everyone how wonderful you handled everything! My review will be revised once my car is finished.... So when first arriving in VA last year due to military relocation we needed tires on my 2010 Hyundai Elantra so we brought it to Firestone everything went fine. Good experience would come back. So when the AC in my car stopped blowing air went online made an appointment for Sunday July 5,2015 at 3pm even got a confirmation email that I had secured my appointment. My husband & I had errands so we dropped it off Sunday July 5,2015 at 12-12:30. Lady at the counter said I was wrong I didn't receive a confirmation email because she never would approved it because the one guy they have for AC was off or I was mistaken about what store I booked the appointment at. A little upset at this point but we left the car with the understanding they would get to it Monday morning call us (either on our home phone or cell they had 3 phone numbers to choose from NEVER got a call) to tell us how much it would cost to fix the problem. So when my husband called from work to ask at 12 and they had yet to even check it...he reminded them he had to pick it up at 5pm because he had to go out of town Tuesday & we needed it fixed by this time. I know AC not working doesn't stop the car from going but my daughter has Epilepsy & overheating is a trigger for her to have seizures so to us it's a matter of life or death because it takes one seizure to possibly kill her. OK back to my car problem... My husband & I still did not hear from then when he came home at 4:30pm on Monday July 6,2015 so we went up there & my car had been looked at but nobody called then found out they had to order the part before they could fix it so we have a car with NO AC so my husband had to go out of town by himself & my daughter & I are at home because it's too dangerous for her to be in a hot car for any period of time. Please note the guy did not charge us "yet" the 45.00 diagnosis fee but will have to pay it when we gets it fixed. I am still getting it fixed at Firestone because I am hoping & praying that this was a big screw up day & they redeem themselves...So Saturday when we can take our car back it better be done when they say or never again. I was referred to this specific location by word of mouth. I normally drive my car 6 hours to my usual mechanic for maintenance but I had an emergency and needed somewhere closer...this location was so nice and put all my worries to ease. I came in thinking I had multiple issues with my car and they easily could have charged me much more than necessary but they were completely honest with what was going on with my car and what actually needed to be done. I left feeling confident that if I ever need to take my car in for an emergency fix that this will be the place to do it! read more

I don't know why this Firestone has such a bad reviews, but every time I have gone in there it has been nothing but pleasant. Especially today! I had a blinking check engine light at 2pm on a Sunday! Everything and everyone closes early on Sundays, people want to get home. Well, being who I am and what I know about cars, I pulled over and called for a tow truck to take me to this firestone location. As soon as I had those arrangements made, my next call was to the store, to let them know my situation and that I would be okay with leaving it over night, if needed. When I called I spoke to Derrick on the phone. I explained everything and all he said was get here as soon as you can and we will get you in/see what we can do. If you live in the area you know traffic is a pain, after waiting for an hour for the tow truck finally around 430 I get to the store. I walk in and meet Derrick in person, he's already got my account pulled up and ready to have the jeep pulled into the shop! Talk about amazing service. They get the jeep back and they are looking at it, even did my tire rotation for me and checked everything out. While I was waiting Dennis (I believe was his first name) kept me very updated on everything. Let me know what was going on and was extremely professional. The best news, I got to drive my car home tonight. Derrick took his time and care for my personal needs of my car and everyone else that was in there. They didn't have to stay past their closing hours to help me tonight but I am sure happy they did. I can't wait to come back and have my car needs taken care of there. They left my car radio dead. I dropped off my car to get the battery and alternator replaced and they returned it to me with a dead radio and did non warn me about it. I had to call them to find out how to fix it and they gave me ill-advised instructions to find the code in an owners manual. Nissan does not use a code so this was incorrect and left me baffled again. Thanks for the tip... not. read more

I dropped off my car today at 3:00 pm as scheduled. At 5:50 pm my car was still not inside the shop. The shop closed at 6 :00 pm. I had to leave my car overnight there and cancel some plans for weekend. I will think it over when I have to use the services from this store again. read more

General Manager is very accommodating. Although they installed the improper tire sensor on my Jeep, he wanted to make things right so he said he would reimburse for dealership installing the correct one. I bring two different cars to this place for oil change, wheel alignment, and put on tires I purchase online. After their service I checked both my cars and the both had 10 lbs over air pressure in all tires of each car. This will cause a number of problems. The lug nuts as most competent mechanics know needs to be hand torqued yet they use an air gun which was impossible to loosen with a wrench manually with me a 190 pound weight standing on the lug wrench and it would not budge. I could not get them off on either car without an impact socket tool after I stripped two lug nuts and then had to use a smaller size impact socket. If I had a flat tire in either car I would have to have it towed because they were over torqued. I will never return to these fools ever again even though I have lifetime alignment on both cars. Also they for whatever reason could not get my Honda S2000 alignment accurately at all. Anybody who has had them remove tires for whatever reason need to check if they can remove their lug nuts with a hand tool before they get stuck out on the road with just their had tool. Terrible work and even worse attitude for their service dept. They don't even deserve a one star rating. read more

Went in for simple oil change/lube maintenance, left with simple oil change/lube maintenance. Took a while but they move people through quickly enough (in fairness they had to source a new oil filter from a nearby warehouse as they had ran out of the recommended type/fit for my car), & cannot complain there as they were making sure I had the part that was needed/best. (Just wish they had communicated that they were in the process of finding one a bit earlier (would have garbed a bite to eat before a long afternoon but crap happens). Decent, better than average prices for most oil changes offered, honest mechanics, no hidden fees. No upscale, no magical malfunctions that suddenly need fixing, no annoying offers. Will probably be a regular for scheduled service related issues. read more

Mechanic left mid inspection leaving my car without tires and up on a lift. Staff was confused on what to do. Wasn't able to get a rejection or inspection sticker because he left. They told me it would have failed for two reasons anyways. I left after waiting 20 minutes to have someone take my car down. My fiancé fixed the two problems they said I had and only returned to this establishment because they promised a free inspection. After leaving my fixed car, I assumed they would be done in a short time. However, they called me shortly after saying this inspector found two different things that needed to be fixed to be passed. They manager stated that "different inspectors have different standards". Ummm aren't inspections regulated? The manager knew they were in the wrong and tried to help by giving me $50 off. After leaving upset and looking at my statement, they in fact did charge me for the inspection. I contacted the corporate office and my money was refunded but not much of an apology was given. Unfortunately I believe this had to do with the fact that I am a woman. I will never be returning to Firestone. read more

So I dropped of my car at 8am with a donut tire cus my original tire got 3 inch hole in it. I told them I need it by 1pm so I could go to work. I also said that the tire need to be replaced and that I have the road hazard warranty and they said no problem and we have the tire in stock. I got there at 1pm and the car wasn't even looked at and guess what the tech told me? "Oh the tire can't be fixed so it has to be replaced because there is a big hole in it..!!" No sh!t the tire can't be fixed. It took him 5 hours to tell me that a tire can't be fixed when I clearly said that it needs new tire. So I waited another 20 mins to get that tire put on the rim and they also didn't do the regular check up. They said that I was in a hurry to go to work and they wanted to get me out of the place early!!! read more

Stay away!!!!!!!!!!!! First, I call to change my appt from Tuesday to Wednesday. Show up on Wednesday for my appt at 2pm, like I scheduled it, they guy in the help desk, says I am not showing in the system like I have an appt. Apparently the lady that took my call and said I was all set, never changed my appt nor a schedule a new one. Okay, so at least they are still going to align my car, it shouldn't take long. Thats what I tought. 1.5 hour later my car was finally moved from the parking spot where I parked it at 145pm. Is almost 5 pm and I still don't have my car. I am about to go crazy here!!!!! I thought Sheehy service was slow but this place beat it. I was also talked to another customer that was here earlier that informed me that she has been to this place in less than 2 weeks 3 times. Really???? Her coming here was because she brought some tires from them and they kept deflating. People follow the advice and don't come here, save your time and your $$. Believe all these other horrible reviews. Save yourself the time and drama and take your car elsewhere. Began this ordeal in the morning. Spoke with the front desk girl for 30 minutes about pricing. They even were trying to charge a "dismount" fee. A fee for not only mounting a tire but for taking the old tire off. None of the prices matched the Tire Rack price pledge. 4 separate charges for Tire Pressure Monitoring System installation totaling $20 per tire JUST for TPMS (way off from the $5 listed on Tire Rack). All in all to get 4 tires mounted and balanced and get a $70 alignment done was about $300.00 ($230.00 for just the tire installation. I had to review the estimate several times after several adjustments. They tried to charge me to 2 sets of 4 tire installation packages (which they said they had to do in order to tack on another TPMS charge but they will give me a "discount" on it. 8 tire valves (4 at $2 and 4 at $3)??? Be prepared for deceptive pricing services charged but not complete/parts paid for but not given (e.g. tire valves). Also included disposal fee for 4 tires when I was taking 3 of them home with me. Eventually Spencer came out to assist me because of the vast discrepancies and nonsense of the estimate and said he'll give me a "discount." When I said I don't care about a discount, just give me the Price Pledge price from Tire Rack he said he does not know what that is. Sometimes other places set up pricing, but here at the local shop they are not linked in to those systems and they have their own local pricing. By now I was sick and tired of this so I agreed to his pricing $210 for the 4 tire installation and alignment. I then called Tire Rack and spoke with customer service. The representative was helpful and had a Tire Rack technician contact Firestone. I was contacted back by Tire Rack and they informed me that Firestones pricing was correct because they were charging me to remount my old tires to my old wheels which was NOT true. I called Firestone to confirm this and Spencer said he spoke with Tire Rack and never said that as he and I made it clear I did NOT want that done and I would not be charged for it. So basically Tire Rack said the pricing is right even though they are not matching the price pledge. Later at time of pick up these discrepancies were addressed and Price Pledge was honored but what an ordeal. Now let's talk about service. I had to come back to this location with my wife and baby 5 times. 1: drop off 2: they said I need to go to Advance Auto Parts and get new lug nuts because my stock lug nuts so not fit. I came in to try and get the part and told them Tire Rack should have shipped 20 lug nuts. They said they found them in the box... 3: Pick up my car (they also told me to bring trash bags because they don't have bags for the tires) 4: Did not give me my lug nuts or invoice from Tire Rack order 5: Did not give me my lug nut adapter from Tire Rack Finally they tried putting the tires in my cabin before I got there to pick up and got black marks all over my tan leather seats (LEXUS IS250). They didn't even tell me they ruined my leather seats. I found out when I got home. I spent a significant amount of time writing this all up hopefully to save you the trouble. read more

I visited firestone springfield on 05/06/17 to change valve on one tire because it was leaking , i was just about to leave to long roadtrip, and here comes really old man on front desk, i requested him that i wanted to change the valve on one tire and he said "i cannot do it today , i have no time today , you can drop your vehicle today in order to get your vehiclles tire valve changed" all this in rude manner, Changing valve on one tire takes maximum 15 min with bal and mounting And this old guy thinks that i know nothing about these things,am a mechanical and aeronautical engineer. Actually he knows nothing about mechanics and hospitality, You know why it hurts to me , because he is old and he has no respect for humanity I respect every human regardless of age but this guy shame on him , He didnt think that i was in bad weather condition ,and minor valve leak could turn a disaster for me Very bad customer service i dont know the name but he wears green coloured stone ring in his hand Its humans who makes the company trust worthy, If i was in his place ,and customer comes to me even if its closing time or night time , i would ensure him or her to taken care of If possible for minor thing i would not charge him or her because customer was "in need to condition" A golden rule of business Before any type of service you offer,Hospitality come first read more

Breaking parts for more business. Yep! They punctured hole in my daughter's brake line so they could charge an additional $350 after charging $550 for replacing a serpentine belt and tensioner arm. Wish I could choose a negative star. We purchased tire trucks from the Fort Leavenworth location and have lifetime service. Having a bit of engine service seemed convenient, but every time we have not been happy with the quality. Can't get much worse than mechanics actually breaking parts. My husband dropped off his car here to have the tires checked. They called us a day later to say we needed new tires, so he said to go ahead and put them on. They called us two days later to say the tires were in and we could drop off the car. Uhhh, what? You have the car! Oh we will call you back. Never did. He finally called them 3 days later, and they put him on hold for 5 minutes, picked up and got his info, asked him to hold on again, put him on hold for 10 minutes, then hung up on him. When he called back they were like, " it's not our fault, the machine hangs up automatically after 10 minutes." Then don't leave customers on hold for 10 minutes you geniuses!! How about an apology for inconvenience? Nope, not a thing they do here at Firestone. So we come to pick it up and there are two people at the register and one customers ahead of us. After 5 minutes of being ignored I decided to write this review. Managed to get through the whole thing and still haven't been helped or even acknowledged. Awesome job Firestone. My experience as outlined below shows how a national chain like Firestone can be such crooks. I am writing this to warn people not to go to this location. I have been a customer at Springfield, Firestone for close to 12years. Recently I took my car to check why the radiator fan was going on even after I turned the ignition off. The person at the front desk told me it's normal but since I had never noticed it before I asked him to check it anyways. After few hours I get a call saying that my car needs a few manufacturer recommended services. I said yes to them but they never mentioned anything about the main reason I brought the car to them and that was the fan so I asked them if they checked it and they said yes and that they found nothing wrong with it. So, I picked up my car and noticed the fan issue was still there. Next day while driving I noticed that the temperature gauge was almost close to hot. So I called Firestone about it and they told that since they did the courtesy check the coolant must be good unless it leaked out in a day. I didn't want to drive the car so I got a mobile mechanic to come to my house and take a look. He didn't find any leak after thoroughly checking the car. The only explanation he could come up with was that the Firestone had replaced the coolant hose in June 2014 and they had not put the clip at the right place and that the coolant had leaked over the last year and more than three fourths of it was gone. So when Firestone said that they had done the courtesy check they had actually not checked the coolant at all and they marked it as OK in the courtesy check document. Also, they brazenly lied to me about checking the fan issue when they had not done it. While going through my Firestone documents to check when the hose was replaced the mobile technician noted that Firestone has been replacing my Iridium spark plug every 12-13,000 miles even though it should not be changed for 60-80,000miles. Every time they told me it's a manufacturer recommended service so I believed them and never checked whether it was actually needed. So I called them about it and they made an excuse that the technician must have recommended it without looking at the car history. Although they credited me the money for all three spark plug services, I thought this was an extremely unethical and fraudulent of them to do this. Their greed, fraud, and faulty hose replacement could have cost serious damage to my car and could have left me stranded on the road. I have no faith that most of the services and courtesy checks they have been performing over the years were ever carried out. I have written to the corporate office and am still waiting for them to contact me to say they are sorry. read more

I waited all week to schedule an oil change appointment so I wouldn't have to wait, right now I'm going on my third hour of my appointment to complete a 15minute oil change... I should have read the other reviews before coming here. I made an appointment, but when I went to drop off my car I was told it would be 90 minutes before they looked at it. For a simple oil change! When I asked the manager why my appointment wasn't being honored he said they take up to an hour. Last time I checked 90 minutes is more than an hour. He was also rude and condescending. I had to bark at him not to touch me when he tried to pat my arm like a clueless puppy. A nice mechanic tried to help me after seeing how upset his manager made me but I refuse to spend a single dollar in a place lacking any kind of customer service. read more

I needed some things fixed on my car before my inspection but had to leave the country for about a month for the Military. My wife saw my list of what needed fixed for inspection so she decided to surprise me and get it fixed. I am only writing this review because of how severely aggravated I am at who ever assisted her. They unbelievably took advantage of her because she is not very good with understanding vehicles or repairs. The repairs should have cost about $700 dollars but they charged my wife $1366. They charged her for unnecessary inspections, marked up the parts 100% to 200% and they changed the brakes and rotors that were recently changed 6 months ago. They charged her $30 dollars to change a $1 licence plate light bulb. I even had the new rotors and brakes in the car so I did not have to pay markup and they told her they were not the right parts even though they are the same and they told her that no one in VA will install parts that are not purchased through the mechanic. I hate that they lied to her so she would not get the work done some where else. I hate and despise people that take advantage of people like this. I will never use this location again and will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

These idiots put the leaking tire from the front of my car onto the back. i bought two new tires and told the guy it was because the right front one had a slow leak. when rotating the tires they left the bad one in the mix. stupid and very dissapointing. will never take my car there again. read more

I had an appointment for 9 am and was told that it would take 60-75 minutes to put on two new tires. I was then told at 10:30 that it would only take another 20 minutes to finish. I didn't get my car back until 11:30. The lady behind the counter was rude. I went to this location 2 years ago and had no problems. After this experience, I will not be going back. read more

So, after i wrote about my experience at the Springfield Firestone Service Center, someone from Firestone contacted me and went out of her way to rectify the poor experience i had and make it better. Thank you! Today i decided to take my car to another Firestone Service Center at Fort Myer, VA for an oil change. I made an appointment and got to the service center on time. As the service rep was preparing my paperwork, i asked her how long the oil change would take. Her and the technician present stated an hour and 15 minutes. Ok. I left my car and came back an hour and 15 minutes later. My car was in the same spot i had left it. I asked the service rep if my car was ready and she said it wasn't worked on yet. Really??? I asked for my car keys back and left the facility. She gave no applogies or anything other that saying she only had one tech working. I actually saw three techs. So her answer was bs. This is the second bad experience i've had with Firestone Service Centers, in a row. Don't tell me my car is going to be ready in an hour when it's going to take 2 or 3 hours. Be honest at least. I won't be frequenting Firestone Service Centers anymore. Gave them too many chances. I recommend to all to stay away. Go to Jiffy Lube instead. read more

Update: Wow, apparently my first visit was a fluke! I was the first person in with an appointment at 7am and nearly 3 hours laster I still don't have my car. I just asked them to replace 2 rear tires and do an alignment. I scheduled this appointment last week and even reserved the tires. There is simply no explanation for the outrageous amount of time this is taking. On top of that, when I asked how much longer, after sitting here watching people who came in after me check out at leave for 2 hours, all they had to say was "almost done." That was 15 min ago. Doubtful I'll be coming back after this. I guess I should have taken the other reviewers seriously. If you must come here, do yourself a favor and prepare yourself for poor service and a LONG wait. read more

I have been bringing my cars to Firestone for the last 20 years and I have always encountered wonderful service until this week. I dropped my car off at 10am on Sunday. I did not have an appointment so I didn't expect to hear anything right away about it. So on Monday around noon I get a phone call and I'm expecting it to be my estimate...wrong!! It was the woman from the front desk telling me that I never gave her my key. I proceeded to tell her that I did in fact give her my key and described how I watched her put the yellow tag on it and put it in the bag. She said oh then we will look for it and call you back. Two hours goes by...I call back to ask about the status of my key (still missing) and what the next steps are and what the timeline on it was going to be. The same lady said that they would look for it until closing time at which point I asked for a manager. The manager got on the phone and while we are talking they find the key. So I'm expecting that they are going to get right to work diagnosing the problems with my car and call me...wrong again! I finally drove my husbands car over around 4:30 pm and stand at the desk for a half hour waiting till they finally give me the estimate. I went to get my husband from work and brought him back with some questions and then we authorized the work (this is around 5:30/6:00). We ask how long it should take and are told that it will be done around 8:30/9:00 on Tuesday morning. So at 1:00 on Tuesday I have heard absolutely nothing so I call. I am told that they are still working on it and maybe it will be another hour. I tell the woman (the same one I have dealt with now the last three days) that it was supposed to be ready this morning and her response...they have been busy. There have been zero apologies and a lot of excuses so far and I'm pretty fed up at this point. I'm holding out hope that maybe when we pick it up we will finally get the customer service we are used to from Firestone but if not they have lost my business. To follow up, zero apologies for the customer service. I filled out an online survey for Firestone and at the end it said that since I obviously had issues would I like someone to contact me to follow up and I checked yes and it said I would receive a phone call within two days...its been way more than two days and still waiting read more

I bought new tires here and had an oil change 2 weeks ago. My vehicle is 4 years old. I just discovered that my car has been continuously leaking oil since then. The oil seemed dirty. I called them and was told that it could be any type of fluid and they could take care of it "within a few hours". Where there's smoke, there's fire so I took it to the Toyota dealership. The oil was a little dirty and the drain plug was not even hand tightened underneath. I called back and was not offered a refund. They offered a free oil change and that is the last thing I wanted from them. read more

Came in to fix my car's alignment. You really can't beat firestone's lifetime alignment pricing of less than $200. Robert R at the front desk was very helpful. He explained in detail how my tie rod ends would soon need to be fixed in the next couple of months. It was helpful information, and I didn't feel like he was trying to oversell any services I didn't need. The car was ready in the time he said it would take (1.5 hours) and now drives straight.
