So I'm a little more perturbed because I got some additional work done here earlier in the year because my car stopped while I was driving it and I had it towed here because I didn't have time to figure out other alternatives. Ultimately I was told that the alternator needed to be fixed. I got that work done and paid a lot of money but I still had issues with the car not turning over consistently on cold starts. I brought the car back here shortly after and left it overnight. Magically, the car didn't have the issue when I left it over night because they said they couldn't reproduce the issue even though every day before and since then, the car has had issues turning over. I took it to another shop today and they said they think it's the timing chain because of the way it looked. I didn't have to leave it overnight they just diagnosed it right there. I also Googled and all of the symptoms I'm seeing are tied to the...timing chain/belt. I'm just kinda mad at myself for spending all the money I have. The staff is nice and has always been respectful towards me. Between these two incidents however, I'm starting to question how much detailed attention actually gets paid to things because they may be getting so many cars, the attention to detail might be shortchanged. I might have had to ultimately get the alternator taken care of but the timing chain was never mentioned to me. It seems like this would be something that would get checked. The place I went to said it could be a pricey replacement. I would probably be less upset if I hadn't spent all the money I spent earlier this year on something I might not have needed. That money could have gone toward this. I hate giving lower reviews but when you are trusting someone with guiding your decision making on your car and you get misdiagnosed twice, it's disappointing. read more

I popped in today with about 45 minutes to spare before I had to go to work, and two low front tires that had hardly any inside tread that needed to be replaced. I told the manager my time crunch and that I could come back later if need be, as it wasn't an emergency. They were able to get my car done and I was out of there with 15 minutes to spare. This Firestone location never lets me down. Today I discovered that one of my headlights was out, and the process to change it was very confusing to me. I drove over here to see what they could do and the parking lot was packed. I could tell it was a busy day and was expecting to have to wait a few hours. Popped in on a Sunday.....yes Sunday...gotta love it. Had a huge screw in my tire. I'm used to places pulling out the nail and putting in a plug. Not these guys....tire came off, area with puncture was smoothed out from the inside and a patch applied. Job well done. While there, I obtained a quote for tires and the price came in $25 less than where I normally go, which by the way closes at 3 on Sat and is closed on Sunday. He also told me to go get a second opinion on my transmission issues before committing to work on the other issues with my car at their location (rather than just taking the easy money). I had so many issues with this location. I had to bring my car back 3 times in one month because they failed to tell me about ALL things wrong with my car after they did the inspection. They also "installed something wrong" in my car, they said. So, I had to keep coming back and paying more money. Left with issues still wrong w my car because I could not deal with them after the 3rd time, 2,000 gone from my pocket and my raybans missing from my car while it was at the shop (yes, it was my fault for leaving them in my car), but still :/ I still have issues and weird sounds happening to my car - they said it "could be in the transmission" I was like I pay way too much money to you for you to be guessing! (That was the 3rd time and the last time I visited them.) They did get me a free rental car while they were working on the car, which was very sweet of them but overall I had a really sucky experience with them. I really want to give them more stars - I was rooting for them, but they let me down and I spent way too much money for that! read more

I will never take my car to Firestone again. First, I came by to change my tire since I got a flat. I ended up needing four new tires- which was legit. They quoted me approximately $450 for the four tires- which I didn't do since I also had other bills to pay.. I just changed the one tire at $118 total. Doesn't seem like too bad of an experience... Fast forward to a couple days later when my boyfriends car starts acting up because of the tires and because his battery died. We take it to the Firestone in Encino to get it checked. They have to hold the car over night and the next day they gave him a laundry list of other things he had to get done.. They also tell him the can't even take the tires off unless he fixed the alternator and got a new battery which was $700. We go to the shop about 20 minutes later to see if we can jumpstart it ourselves and take it to our trusted auto shop (Rene's Automotive). When we get there the car is lifted with all the tires off- which is odd because they said they couldn't do anything with the tires unless he basically paid $700. So we just ask for the car to be put down and wheels put back on so we can drive it somewhere else. They then say that without all the extra stuff the car might die as soon as we drive off. Anyways, it's a day later and the car has yet to die.. He took it to Rene's and he said he didn't have to do any of the fixes they listed. We went to Jaliscos Tires on Victory Blvd. and they immediate found the problem with his tire- there was a screw stuck in one. They patched it up quickly without hesitation. We then asked about pricing for three new tires for my car. They took a look and gave me a price of $210 for three tires..... I'm so mad I ever went to Firestone in the first place and wasted $118 on ONE tire. I didn't have a terrible experience at this Firestone other than it being overpriced. My boyfriend had a terrible experience at the Encino Firestone though.. Seemed like a bunch of crooks. I just don't have the time, patience, or money to be wasted. Shop around before you decide to spend your hard earned money somewhere! read more

So, I was having a bad day after running over a squirrel which caused me to hit the curb and get a flat tire :( I didn't want to waste hours having the tire changed and I also didn't want to get ripped off by and unscrupulous dealer. I checked out the reviews and ended up at Firestone (which just happens to be only a few blocks down the street from my home). Harry helped me and he was really pleasant, efficient, funny AND easy on the eyes! I had my new tire and was out of there by the time I finished drinking my cappacino (even though it was a little tough for them to balance because I had scraped metal off the wheel when I hit the curb). I left my office and noticed that my left rear tire was nearly flat. On closer inspection I noticed a large screw impeded in the tire. After filling the tire with air, I called the local Firestone Complete Auto Care. I explained my problem. They asked if I could come right in. As soon as I arrived, the technician asked me the problem and requested I drive the car to the service bay. From the time I arrived to the time I left with a repaired tire i spent 20 minutes at the tire center. The Firestone center could not have been more accommodating nor efficient. OMG, Greg and his guys saved the day again. I have been going to them for over 5 years. Last Monday I had gotten an oil change at the 76 gas station because I didn't have the money to have Greg do it,. Keep in mind I had gotten it in BH which is about 20 minutes from my house, I had a job interview so I thought I will go to this one. I had to put it on my gas card.... This morning I noticed oil on the car port and called Greg ASAP. 76 had made a big mistake and Greg fixed it and saved my car. Who knows what could of happen. He help me so much today. I can not express my gradtitude enough. I don't have any money, things are really bad for me right now and if I did not have there help today I don't know what I would of done.
