I originally gave this shop a one-star review, but after thinking it over--and as someone who runs a business myself--I want to be fair and revise it. I've always come to this location because of the dad who runs the place. He's humble, honest, and goes out of his way to make sure you feel taken care of. He never makes you feel overcharged, and the value you get always feels greater than what you pay. That's the main reason I've come back here again and again. This time, I had an issue with an interaction with his son. When I mentioned that the price seemed expensive, he told me, "You can go wherever you want," and repeated it more than once. I was literally about to pay, and that comment came off very dismissive. It triggered me, and I got upset because there are many other ways to explain pricing or offer options without making a customer feel unwanted or disposable. That one sentence threw off the entire experience, and that's why I initially left a one-star review. But here's the part that mattered: The dad immediately apologized for his son and tried to make it right. He didn't have to, but he did. His humility stood out. Even when he tried to offer a discount, I turned it down because they still did the work and I respect that. I also want to acknowledge my part: I can get triggered easily by one line, and I can be blunt too. But I'm also extremely kind and generous when people are kind. I know how one bad review can hurt a small business, and this shop doesn't deserve that--especially because of the dad. His son is young--probably around 19--and still learning how to talk to customers. I really hope he takes this as feedback. Even if you're frustrated, customers shouldn't feel tossed aside, especially when they're paying $300+ for tires. Because of the dad's integrity and my consistently good past experiences, I'm changing my rating from one star to five stars. My wife and I were having issues with our TPMS sensors on our car before our long trip to Vegas and were trying to figure out what to do. With a quick search on Yelp, it said that Discount Tire Centers would check our tire pressure and sensors. We made a quick appointment online the night before and drove over the next morning. The person helping us stopped everything, came out and said not to worry. He checked the tire pressure first, then brought out a device to check the TPMS sensors. They looked faulty he said, so he reset them for us and determined they were. They even added air to our tires too! We were leaving that morning, so we couldn't wait for them to change them out. We let them know we couldn't do it now but we would be back. We asked how much we owed and he said nothing. These guys are amazing, honest and true. This morning, I had an unfortunate accident on the 405, where tools from a gardening truck fell out while I was driving. I managed to avoid huge body damage to my car, however my rear tire was affected. I got off the freeway immediately and, after searching for the closest shop with good recommendations, decided to bring my car to this tire repair shop. Replaced 4 tires on my 2013 Prius. Henry was patient and kind. He let me know a couple of things that were wearing out on my car and let me make a decision, there was no hard sales pressure. I asked a lot of questions and he answered clearly. I appreciated his demeanor, as being a single woman getting work done on my car I am accustomed to being talked down to or having my concerns swept under the rug. I was able to talk over his suggestions with a friend of mine on the phone, and it seemed that everything was legit so I did opt to go forward with the additional repairs. At the end, Henry realized that the tire company had sent him the wrong tires- they were an upgrade, $8 more per tire. They were the same brand of tire, just the newer version.
