Went here because I had just gotten a used car and wanted an oil change. They quoted me 1100 dollars on parts and services that they said I "needed urgently" for the steering alignment and control arm n ball cracking etc. I then took it to another mechanic who said the only thing I needed was a top off of brake fluid. The mechanic also said that the things Firestone said needed repairs were almost new in condition. Do not go here. I scheduled an appointment three days in advance because my AC was running a little warm. I just asked them to do a simple diagnosis, no repairs. They rescheduled it to the day before a trip I had. I got there early and dropped my car off at the appointment time of 8 AM. I ubered back home because I figured it would be an hour or two. By 1 PM I still had no update. 5 hours after my appointment. I called and was told it wasn't even in the bay or seen at all yet. She said they would call in 30 minutes. 45 minutes went by and I called and they said another hour. We are at close to 7 hours now when I had a preset appointment for a DIAGNOSIS and ZERO REPAIRS. They then called and quoted me 448 dollars for a simple AC recharge with zero leaks or issues. Absolutely overpriced and ridiculous. At this point, I couldn't have done it regardless of if the price was good (it wasn't) because I had to get to work. Since they took 8 hours to work on my initial diagnosis, I had zero room to get a second opinion. I leave for a trip tomorrow morning and because they pushed my appointment back and took an entire business day of work for a single diagnosis, I have limited AC in 100+ degree heat. It is the dead of summer in Arizona. Also, a gentleman who came before me for some repairs was still sitting in the waiting room when I picked up my car, 8 hours later. His car was still not done. If I did not have the luxury of uber I would have sat there for 8 hours. So I spent an entire workday, the $$$ in gas to get there and the $$$ in Ubers to get to and from the POS Firestone for zero results. Zero stars. The wait time was unacceptable, and it appeared they were overbooked, as several other customers were also waiting for long periods. Zero stars if I could!! On 1/19/26 they took 2.5 hours to replace one tire which we bought from them even though my wife had an appointment. By the time she gets back home the tire is already at 20 psi so I air it back up, she barely makes it to work the next day. After work she gets to the shop 20 mins before they close and they actually refuse to even look at it and have her leave the car with them overnight!! Called the store with the concern that my tire I just got through Firestone this past Saturday was already leaking air, to the point where it was at 20 PSI. I was told to come in and get it checked out since I had just purchased the tires. Waited 2.5 hours in the store and asked for an update on the wait since the car was still in the same spot I dropped it off in. I was told that since I "didn't have an appointment," there were other priorities and it could take another 1.5 hours! Absolutely ridiculous since I just spent $600 on new tires and this could have been resolved in 30 minutes! When I expressed concern, there was absolutely no customer empathy and received two eye rolls from the front clerks. What a waste of time and management needs to retrain their employees on how to interact with customers. Do not recommend this location!!! read more

I took my vehicle to the Firestone on Rural & Baseline in Tempe for a full diagnostic on October 31st because I wanted to make sure everything was 100% before using it for work. The advisor told me the vehicle was in great condition, but recommended replacing the spark plugs and the fuel purge valve "as preventative maintenance." I approved the work because I trusted their diagnosis. I picked the vehicle up Sunday, drove it LESS THAN 20 MILES total, and on Tuesday it completely died in the middle of a workday -- fuel pump not delivering fuel, vehicle would not restart. I had to have it towed back to Firestone, and now I'm being told I need to pay: $380 just to drop the fuel tank $780-$1,200 more for a fuel pump The entire reason I PAID for a diagnostic up front was to avoid exactly this situation. If the fuel pump had been identified as the issue -- like it should have been -- I would have said yes to that repair instead of paying for work that didn't fix anything. The vehicle failed almost immediately after leaving their shop, and now they want me to pay again for what the original diagnosis should have caught. As a business owner myself, if I misdiagnose something, I fix it on my dime. That's how you stand behind your work. I'm currently waiting to see if Firestone will do the right thing, but as of now, I can't recommend this location. If I could put a large 0 for a review I would. Sometime in April I visited the Firestone located at: 930 E Baseline Rd, Tempe, AZ 85283 because I had a coolant leak light on on my car: The Firestone charged me about 1300 for the service and as soon as I went to go outside to pick up my car I noticed that the coolant leak light was still on. I immediately went inside, and let the manager know that it was still on and when I told him he brushed it off saying some nonsense about how "the light will turn on, if you go fast it will trigger a sensor", so I took his word for it and went on my way home. On the way home the coolant leak light comes on again!, so I go back later in that same day and get it checked out by the same Firestone manager, and he assured me that there is no leak and that he filled up coolant to the top and therefore I shouldn't see the light anymore. Again I went home that day, and later in that same week the coolant leak light came on again!!. I was shocked and went straight to the manager in that same Firestone (I think his name is Sean) and when I got there he checked the car once more and refilled my coolant, and assured me that there were indeed no leaks, and that the light would go away. At this point I personally figured that it may be just a broken sensor and went about my days with the coolant leak light still being on the whole time. Fast forward 2 months or so, I go to another auto shop near me (WeFix it Auto located in Tempe) to get my car maintenanced, and when I go there and they finish inspecting my car, they tell me that I have an active coolant leak on my car!!. I told them that "recently it did have a coolant leak, but now it's repaired", and they told me that I have an ACTIVE coolant leak on my car. I told the shop to just fix it, and they charged me an additional about 1000 for it. After that happened, I immediately call back to the manager of the Firestone and tell him exactly what happened. I kid you not, that same manager that i've been dealing all the time with (Sean) tells me that if the inspection came back to it being actually leaking that I should've came back to the Firestone after the inspection from the other shop to have him try to fix it for me. He also said that because I repaired it at the other shop that he would not be able to refund me for the service because I didn't go to him. I came at his location minimum 3 TIMES!! (NOT EXAGGERATING), How many times do you want me to go to your location to try and fix it, and have you simply brush it off?! I have a full time job, full time school, as well as many other obligations HOW MANY TIMES DID YOU WANT ME TO COME BACK?! I took my car in for a rear bearing check up. They said they fixed the problem, I paid and drove off. Later on that day, I was out driving and I heard the same noise again. I waited a couple of days thinking well, maybe it takes a day or so for the bearing to get lubricated and it didn't, so I took the car back. When I went to pick it up I thought for sure they got it this time . This is now the third time I'm taking it back for the same problem maybe they will get it right this time. I am beginning to think it's time to go somewhere else. After this go round if it doesn't get fixed I will talk to the General Manager and get this right. Had a 2 pm appointment for a simple oil change. Upon arriving at my appointment time, I was advised by Shawn or Sean to give them an hour. So 3 pm rolls around and the car is still in the parking lot. Asked again and was advised they are just opening a bay and will get me in next. 2 or 3 cars later I finally get the car in. Was cashed out and they charged a higher price than they said. When questioned I was just told that is the price. Then as the cashier new I was in a hurry, she said they just need 3 more minutes. 10ish minutes later they get the car back to me. SUPER SLOW AND OVER BOOK WORK THAT PUTS THEM BEHIND. They caused me to miss my next appointment for the vet and now I have to pay more to get the puppy in since I missed the last appointment. So we went from 1 star, to 3 star, to ending with a 1 star. (similar issue as many other recent comments I see) Here we go folks! I had a 1pm appointment confirmed today on Saturday, showed up a few minutes early for my Alignment and I asked to add an oil change, they said no problem it'll take UP TO 1 1/2 hours. Great, I'm a mile away, so I walked home to get some exercise. It's now been 2 1/2 hours so figure I'll just walk back it's probably done or close. NOPE, it's still in the spot I parked it in. Walk inside and tell the manager which car is mine and magically there's a bay that just opened up. 30 minutes goes by and somehow my car is "done." (physically/mechanically impossible to do Alignment AND Oil Change in 30 minutes.) I ask the Service Writer for my copy of the Alignment Print-Out (which I recommend EVERY customer does this so you can see your before and after results. Well he goes back to check and Surprise! The technician didn't know there was an alignment on his Service Ticket (which is what my appointment was FOR) So yay, now I waited another 30-45 minutes. I ask for the manager as he's doing that and this guy was already working in his skimpy running shorts and a little tank top about 1 1/2 hours before closing time. Never seen this in my 20+ years of visiting any repair shop. I mean, THE MANAGER. But, he knew why I asked for him and immediately offered to comp my oil change. So right there, saving me that money even after the insane amount of time you wasted for my Saturday, I was going to give them 3 stars. NOPE, because I drove my car to my storage unit 5 miles away on different streets, different lanes and every single time I let go of the wheel, my car now wants to send me into the curb. I had no pulling issues when I came in, I simply came in because I've racked up a lot of miles and hit a lot of pot holes/rough roads, but it was never pulling left or right. So now I'm going to visit ANOTHER Firestone for another one of my free alignments and pray they can correct this issue. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS LOCATION AND I PRAY NONE OF YOU DO EITHER!!!!! Don't even bother making an appointment, because I've visited multiple locations in 3 different states and every single time it's been a mediocre experience at best. I'd love if Corporate just gave me my original payment for the Lifetime Alignment Program back because free alignments are completely worthless when they aren't even done correctly, they're actually making my vehicle worse and dangerous to drive. UPDATE 1/7/24: I took my car back and it was a different Service Writer so just explained the alignment was done wrong. She said she'll be sure to have a different tech do it, left it and went home. Called me a few hours later and sure enough, the Toe and Caster both had to be done again because they werent done properly the first time...so 3 adjustments in an alignment and the tech yesterday got 2 of 3 WRONG. I'm now out $15 because using RideShare, but at least my vehicle is driving straight again. read more

Wow, I have been taking my car in for an oil change for years and trusted they would just do their job.. they stole my pair of Chanel sunglasses, and denied it of course when I brought this up to the front desk, the lady with black long hair and glasses denied it and said she worked on my oil change and would not do anything like this. I reassured her that I did not lose it on my own and in fact it was stolen here in May. She kept saying that they have meetings about this across stores and never offered me to speak to a higher up or anything to help beyond that. I trusted you guys to do your job, it's completely unprofessional and inappropriate behavior and I hope you get caught one day. Stop stealing from your customers! read more

I have bought tires for all my vehicles from this store for 25 years or more. I now live 165 miles away and still bring the truck and Jeep in for tires, alignment balance rotation. So I have long experience with this store. I scheduled a visit for Saturday, 26 May, for Oil Change, radiator flush, wheel alignment, tire rotation and balance. They scheduled me for 11 am and said it would take 4 hours or less. I also requested the manual transmission oil changed out. The manager called my back and said they could not do the transmission because of corporate policy, not doing transmissions any more. When I got to the store, the counter person told me they wouldn't be able to do the transmission because the "machine was down" (a lie, store manager told me the truth.) A tech called at 2:30, tried to sell me windshield wiper blades (existing ones 2 months old) and a new battery (nothing wrong with it). I declined, he said they would be done soon.. I came back at 5:00 and they hadn't even started the radiator flush. Finally after 5:30 pm they were done with a hurried job on the radiator. I got home on Sunday, 165 miles away, and checked the tires I had marked with yellow paint streaks in the rear tires. I found they had not even rotated the tires. I would be very careful about doing business at this store. It is not what it once was and the shop management doesn't know how to keep the cars on schedule. I will probably buy my tires elsewhere. Very sad, because I love Bridgestone tires. I will no longer drive 165 miles to get "Good" auto service. read more

I made an appointment for a front end alignment at my local store at Alma School Rd / Guadalupe Rd. It was going to take 4 days to get it done. I called other locations and found one on Guadalupe/ Gilbert Rd. That could do it the next day. I arrived 20 minutes early and they took my car right away. 30 minutes later they gave me my keys and receipt. They completed the job much faster than the location by my house. Ps. Which, I've spent over $3,000 dollars at this location. My car sits for over 2 hours. No phone call, no update. And the attitude Ron! Embarrsing. Not to mention 3 years ago it took 6 visits to 2 diiferent locations for them to figure out I have electronic power steering. Which I never heard from coorporate. After waiting for over 2 hours, my car still had not been taken back with no communication to me whatsoever even despite the fact that I was sitting in the shop the entire time. I hadn't questioned anything because I (wrongfully) expected them to do their job without me having to beg them to. I went outside for a phone call and saw my car had still not been taken back. I finally asked what happened and they said I didn't have an appointment. I showed them my text confirmation, and they just stood there speechless. No offer of an explanation or anything. Conveniently I was "up next in line" which is quite literally the least they could do considering my appointment was TWO AND A HALF HOURS EARLIER! They weren't busy when I got here at 10:00am. I had an appointment. Absolutely no excuse for this sh!t show. Again, terrible customer service and no explanation. Unacceptable behavior from a business. I was very disappointed when I brought my car in for the first oil change since I moved here. My oil change was Sunday morning and took about two hours to do. Theo was the technician who completed my oil change. Prices for an oil change without a coupon is around $100 for the synthetic oil blend - thats the first problem. Second problem is when I went to pick up my car , I pulled out of the lot and onto baseline and drove for not even 5-10 minutes down the road to then hear metal scraping coming from the bottom of my car! So I pull onto a side road and look under my car and the plate that covers the underneath cabin where the oil is changed IS HANGING OFF AND NOT CLIPPED ON!! So I brought my car back and told them what happened and watched them raise my car up to fix the underneath. Clearly everyone was "surprised" to see that Theo forgot to put it on correctly. Once Theo and the woman helping him was done. He parked my car and I met him while he was parking. He stated to me that he didn't know how to put it on correctly and he apologizes for the mistake - that mistake could have cost me more money to fix it. If you don't know how to take care of that oil change let alone a car like a Honda Civic then don't just do the job half ass and let a customer drive away! If you don't know what you're doing to an expensive car then don't do it and ask for help - simple as that. My father called the store and the woman at the front desk told him " well she hit a bump and it must have fell off" What a joke. Will not be coming back to this location because clearly they cannot be trusted and Ian the manager is clueless. read more

Not sure what changed, but this was a go-to shop for me, due to proximity and the fact that the local RR dealers are often booked out endlessly.. I brought my vehicle in for what I thought would be a very straightforward repair (o2 sensor, possible catalytic converter) based on the code I pulled from my vehicle, so I made an appt an dropped off my vehicle like I have other times to this location and expected a quick and straightforward response, repair, and checkout; per normal. This time I was called and informed that my vehicle needed new catalytic converters and potential O2 sensors at a cost North of $4000.00 dollars. Knowing vehicles and this one in particular, as I have owned 3 of the line, I found that shocking and almost as if the diagnosis was never really done and they were just throwing numbers at me. The story goes... I was charged the "diagnostic" fee (which I don't believe happened, as they knew the check engine code since I gave it to them) and they simply said "whole new exhaust + tack on some nonsense.. I went up the street to a recommended shop for a 2nd look, and in under 3 hours I was out truck fully repaired for $758 total, with the suggestion I never go back to the guys that wrote out that I needed O2's, spark plugs, converters, etc to fix the check engine light. The vehicle needed one converter replaced and after inspecting the other suggested items from Firestone, I was told they all looked pretty new (would make sense given my last tune-up), and I was out the door with a savings of over $3200. So my only question is this, how in the H@ll was a repair misquoted and so insanely off the mark? read more

Brought my car in here to get my brakes changed because I didn't wanna bother my Honda guy for something so trivial. After inspection I was told not only are all my brakes shot, but all 4 of my rotors needed replacing because they were so warped they couldn't be machined. Quoted me $1400. When I declined they offered $400 off if I applied for a CREDIT CARD. Took my car to my guy who told me not only were all 4 rotors completely fine, but my brakes weren't even in immediate need of replacement! Got em done anyway and spent $100. That good mechanic is Hon-Man on Apache. Firestone was my go-to oil change spot but they will never see me again. It's so frustrating even thinking about it. Screw these guys. read more

I've brought numerous cars in here for oil changes and other services. The quality from the mechanics is fine. The quality of customer service is horrible. First of all when you walk in there are a bunch of stand up desks with employees working at and you don't know where to stand or do because no greets you or tells you what to do. I stood there the last time I was in and the woman employee was on her cell phone typing as I waited. She didn't even acknowledge I was there until about 3 minutes later I spoke up to ask if I should go find another employee to help me. She looked at me confused and said: "I am right in the middle of something. I'll be right with you." She should of said that when I walked in. I waited in the waiting area and I noticed all the employees seemed to be bothered by helping the customers that walk in. A real negative culture. I value customer service and they sure are lacking in this area. No bueno! read more

I had a tire blow out on my way to work and this firestone location was the closest to where i was so i had it towed there so i could get a new tire. I do have a spare bit the blow out was so violent i wanted to make sure that i hadnt bent the rim or caused another issues. Pros: The gal who helped me out up front was very nice and gave me good customer service. They got the tire replaced in about an hour. I was quoted 2-3 hours so this was quicker than expected. This is why im giving 2 stars. Cons: When my tire blew out, i immediately pulled over and turned off the car so i didnt take note of any warning lights. However when i picked up the car and started it, both my ABS and brake lights were on. When i looked at the tire that had been replaced there were very visible wires hanging down into my wheel well. When my tire blew out it had ripped apart my ABS sensor. This business promotes total car care, not just tire services yet no one even bothered to let me know either on the phone or in person that there were loose wires or that warning lights were on. I ended up taking it in to my regular mechanic the next day. However, since my car was already at firestone, i would have been completely open to them doing the work. At the very least they should have let me know! They missed out on what ended up being an $800 dollar repair and lost my trust as a future customer. read more

Kevin was absolutely amazing here. I came in at closing (yes one of those customers) and forgot to grab my house key from my key ring. I caught Kevin leaving in his car, he unlocked everything, turned back on the lights, put back on the hydraulics and lowered my vehicle to allow me the ability to grab my house key. He continued to assure me that it was alright but I know how that is when you're literally driving out of the parking lot/and the issue was my fault. Thanks Kevin! read more

Zero stars if I could and trust me, this negative review is very well deserved. I called asking how long it would take to put a battery on my work van and they said less than an hour, So I took it there. Four hours later when I asked if my van was ready, they said that they took it upon theirselves to call the fleet company and authorized new tires and an oil change. I explained that I had customer appointments and that they should've called me and checked first, but they continued with the services they wanted to do and made me wait more. To top it off the person that was replacing the tires overheard my conversation with the person getting me the keys and paperwork and started screaming at me that the tires were needed. I don't argue that I might needed tires, my whole point was the lack of communication with me, the one that decided to take the vehicle there for a battery only. I would've scheduled to come back the very next day and gotten the tires and oil change. And screaming at me for complaining about their lack of communication just seals the deal of me not coming back ever and leaving this negative review. I really hope a lot if customers read this and don't use them at all. And not experience what I experienced. Zero starts if I could. Too rude and, zero communication and possibly a scam. My car had a power steering leak and I told them before they looked at it that I am quite sure it's the hose that has a small leak. I left my car with them and get a call back, them telling me that they have to replace the pump. I trusted them, said ok to do so for the agreed upon price of 144.95. skip foreword they tried to charge me almost 390 dollars. Skip forward further, the power steering isn't even fixed and still leaking the same way. I am still 100% certain it's the hose and that they just replaced a perfectly fine pump to do something and make a quick dollar.... read more
