Horrible customer service!! I dropped off my car yesterday around 3:30 pm, and was told my oil change would be complete by the end of the day (6pm). The associate also said that he would call before hand to let me know that my car was compete. I ran some errands and got a bit suspicious when 5:30 rolled around with no call. I decided to go back to the shop in hopes that my oil change was complete and that they just forgot to call me. I got into the shop at 5:55 pm and the same associate greeted me. He told me that they didn't get to touch my car and that they were short staffed. I understand stuff like that happens, but why couldn't he CALL ME to let me know this right away??? New to the area and was looking for someone to do the brakes on my 2010 Malibu! Took my car in for a oil change and a brake service. Jeremy was working the front counter and treated me excellent. Service was top notch and they had the car ready on time. They noticed that not only the front brakes were in need of replacing but the rear had another 10k left. I wanted them to do everything. They didn't suggests anything outrageous or even pressure me into any unnecessary services. I will be bringing my car back for maintenance in the future! read more

Knowledgeable but the techs are really slow and stand around a lot, almost like they have super short attention spans. estimated time is never close to actual time. I took my corvette to have the two rear tires replaced on 8/14/18. When I arrived home I noticed that the two rear brake covers were missing. When I called to explain the situation I was brushed off with excuse that they didn't work on the brakes(NO SHIT!). I then asked if they could look around to make sure they didn't fall off or get misplaced in the process because it was just too much of a coincidence. I was again given the response "We didn't work on the brakes". (AGAIN, NO SHIT!) Traveling through Tracy, I broke down on 205. I got a tow here just as they were turning the lights out. The manager Nicholas turned the lights back on and waited to get the keys and situate my truck. The next morning it took a bit of time to get an estimate but the repairs were completed and I was back on the road. Thank you so much Nicholas. read more

AVOID this place. They constantly try to upsell you with "deals". My window washer wasn't squirting onto the passenger side. They told me the washer bottle was broken. I had them fix it for $54 dollars. The window washer still did not work on the passenger side. When I called to ask about it Marcel said, "you didn't ask us to fix that you told us to replace the washer bottle." What? Then my door lock was broken. They replaced the door lock for $200. Then I had 2 keys, one for the other door and ignition and another key for the new lock. My car is now at Tracy Honda to fix the "repairs" made by Firestone. Honda will fix the lock and give me one key and fix the window sprayer. Whew - the price of an edcuation. Marcel doesn't appear to know what he's talking about or just wanted to maintain problems so that I would have to return to fix them or both? read more

This place is great. Worked with me so that I got what I needed at a price I could afford and I never felt pressured at all.

I don't do usually do reviews but felt the need to give this one. I took my car for a tyre replacement at 7:30 AM. The guy told me I'll get the car by afternoon to evening latest. Another information given to me was that if something happens to the tyre during first month, it will be replaced instead of getting a prorated value. No one for the entire day gave me a call to give me an update. I called multiple times and was given a different time, until it became clear that I won't get the car on the same day. Next day, I come in, meet a different guy name Danny, who plain out told me that the guy on day 1 (believe his name was Art) couldn't have said anything regarding a replacement. He plainly called me a liar instead of acknowledging that his guy might have accidentally given wrong information. When I finally get the car, for some reason, the mechanics felt the need to change every setting inside the car. From my seat memory functions to my apple car play settings, climate control, everything was reset. I can't for the love of god understand why for a tyre change they'll need the feel to do it. Even though I arrived fairly close to closing time, I was treated to great customer service and professionalism by Kenneth Hildebrand. He took the time to hear my needs, never rushing through the exchange and was able to effectively and efficiently get me taken care of and back on the road. Sadly, customer service seems to be a low priority in many businesses nowadays... not so the case with the Tracy Firestone location. I'm pretty disappointed with these guys. They have been my go to guys for years but with my recent problem I've decided I won't return to them. Let me start off by saying I think Jeremy is amazing. He has a great way with clients and I trust him with my car. I had brought my vehicle in for a check engine light. We were able to fix it same day but Jeremy said if it came back on it might be an internal issue. He also told me my coolant was low. So I kept an eye on my coolant level but apparently not a close enough one because my car ended up over heating. I brought it back to them immediately and they discovered a bad clamp. I was dealing with James at this point and was not satisfied with his customer service skills. I had to push for a coolant flush (seeing as how most of my coolant leaked out and I filled it with water to get there after my overheating issue) and push for him to show me the clamp that failed. Which he wasn't even sure where it was. So I got my car back and was happy enough because it was fixed. So a week later I realize my coolant is low AGAIN and my check engine light has come back on. I take it in, James is there and he doesn't even make me a service ticket. Just takes my keys and I felt very brushed off. Later I get a call to come pick up my vehicle. His explanation for everything really bothered me and I decided as he was talking I was taking it somewhere else as soon as I could. He told me that my check engine light was a "memory code" which I've never heard of. I even pushed what Jeremy had told me before, that it was an internal problem. But James with his brush off demeanor told me no. Then he said that the reason my coolant was low was because they had forgot to fill up my reservoir. I was a little annoyed about that. In the end my check engine light came on less than a week later which happened to be the day before I was going to take it to a new mechanic. Guess what? My head gasket is warped, sounds pretty internal to me. I should have been more pushy I realize and maybe requested a different person to speak with but I am so absolutely disappointed in the quality of care my vehicle got there. It shouldn't only be a couple people who know what they are talking about. And I absolutely wonder every day if my cars problem would have been less extensive if I had the correct diagnosis to begin with. I'm so disappointed and hurt about my latest experience there because I trusted them so much. It's a big bummer. read more

Yesterday I was inspecting a vehicle for the insurance company I work for when I had a tire blow out on me. This capped off a day where everything went wrong to begin with. I had the mini spare put on and decided to head to Firestone as they service my company car. I was at least hoping to get a tire ordered and get it installed another day since it was Friday and nobody wants to deal with a last minute walk in customer. Well Jeremy at Firestone could not have been nicer, he greeted me with a pleasant hello even though he was very busy, he said if they had the tire he would be happy to install it same day. Tire in stock and installed in less than an hour, amazing service plus i finally got to sit with my computer in the nice waiting area they had with a warm cup of coffee and get my work done. Talk about turning a bad day into a great experience. I deal with over 150 body shops and mechanical shops in the area due to my work and Jeremy and his staff are the best. It's auto repair, not rocket science. It's a messy business. Problems can be hard to diagnose. Sometimes any shop will get it right the first time, sometimes they'll get it wrong. I've had pretty good luck with Firestone, and I've found them to be generally helpful and not out to gouge me. Example- I had AC compressor replaced there. The new compressor failed as well just after the warranty period on the part was up. Wish it hadn't but they comped me on some of the labor despite the part being past its warranty. Another example, alternator on car failed; this particular alternator requires 4 hrs labor to get to. I was balking, but manager informed me the same labor was also involved in timing belt replacement (which was also past due). So they were able to upsell me on necessary maintenance while also saving me money. Anyway, you've got a car, you've got a problem. I've found Firestone to be all right though. read more

Took my car to Firestone Auto Care located on 940 N Central Ave in Tracy for a "Check Engine" light inspection and after paying $120 for a diagnostic I was told there was a leak in the intake manifold and it will cost me almost $600 to get it fixed (Have Work Order with parts and labor cost, Service Advisor and the Technician name & number) The Manager even offered me a Firestone credit for easy monthly payments. After a second opinion from a different source, it turns out that the problem was a dirty MAF sensor and not a manifold leak, like I was told by the guy so called Technician. I purchased a can of CRC Mass Air Flow Sensor Cleaner for $8.00, removed the sensor my self and sprayed to remove all the dirt. The car has been running perfect ever since, no problem what so ever and no more "Check Engine" light. This might be a good auto care for some people but I won't even trust them with a flat tire repair because they probably do some damage and later tell me I need a new tire or a new rim. Very crooked place, they rip you off with unnecessary repairs by telling you a bunch of lies, just wasted my $120. I will never recommend this place to nobody!I read more

I've been to this shop 4-5 times, only for oil changes, and only when my usual shop was too busy. I made an appointment for a Saturday in early August, I arrived on time, then waited about an hour before they even got to my car. Ok, whatever, but what I got as a "bonus" was a new rear bumper cover and a huge headache. What happened, you ask? Dumbass employee walks out to my car, backs my car into another customer's car, that's what! the manager was a jerk, refused to give me any info on the idiot employee, and wanted to "take care of it" himself. He even said he didn't want to file a claim with Firestone if he could avoid it. So, one oil change and a damaged bumper, what a great way to start my Saturday. I filed a claim just in case, because I felt like the manager was shady, and Firestone eventually accepted all liability. I chose the body shop and Firestone covered the repair and rental costs. Best auto body claims experience I've had, too bad it happened at all. The end result of this is that I'll never go back to this store, and I'll never recommend it to anyone, ever again. And that manager should be fired. He failed to photograph or document the damage, didn't even offer to comp the oil change, and had the nerve to call me on my cell phone later that day asking me to drive back so he could take some pictures. I told him no. My feeling was that he'd had his chance and screwed the pooch on it. I took several pictures of the damage to both vehicles before I left. I wonder what kind of bull$hit story he gave the owner of the other car involved, they weren't even there when it happened. read more
