Went to Firestone on Speedway Blvd a month ago to get a tire I brought from them check out because I keep losing air. They told me they could not find anything wrong with the tire. A month later Im still having trouble with this tire, went in today to see what is going on and they wouldn't even take a look at the tire, said they were to busy even though they told me to come back in a couple hours. What a waste of time. They are not reliable at this location. read more

This Firestone is a little outdated and needs a facelift in the waiting area, but it's not too bad where it is uncomfortable. The front counter personnel were kind and helpful and when I asked them to find a tire comparable to my factory tire for my vehicle they did a great job ensuring all specs were met with the tire they had in stock. I was a walk-in and I asked them to be done in 2.5 hrs as I had to go to work and they almost met that time frame, but I needed an alignment so that pushed the time or I think they would have been done as I requested. I'm pleased with the service, tire choice, military discount, and coupon they found to knock down the price. Give them a try on your next set of tires. read more

This location in my experience can be a hit or miss type of transaction. I still compare other facilities for prices comparison. Best thing about Friestone locations is that they are open 7 days a week. The staff here are friendly and not at all pushy salespersons. Come check it out for yourself. read more

I'd say this should be a 4.5 star review but I can't do half points. My check engine light came on. My regular place couldn't get me in for over a month. I found an appointment with Firestone online. They called the next morning to apologize that the online appointment wasn't available and set up a new appointment and also let me know that the mechanic who would do the service was working through a family emergency and if the appointment needed to change they'd let me know. They gave me three days notice. I appreciated it. They also rescheduled the appointment automatically with the option to call and change it. I dropped off my car for a 7am appointment. By 8:30 I had an diagnosis and a quote to make the repairs. I was able to pick my car up well before noon. I feel that the cost with labor was fair. I anticipated a whole lot more. What kept this from a 5 star is the customer service when I picked up the car. I asked how he was and he said fine and didn't ask back. He was more interested in getting me out than anything and didn't look up from the computer. read more

A real bummer how my truck was returned. I really like Firestone tires and have had great experiences at other locations , but this place doesn't care about your vehicle. I had them install 4 new tires on Saturday and the vehicle was returned with the all valve caps missing and the TPMS on. The vehicle is only 3 years old and this is how they returned. I won't be returning to this location again. I don't think they even have TIA trained people working on your vehicle. Like I said a real bummer read more

I left work the other day and when I got home I noticed a screw in my driver side tire. I didn't want to mess with it, cause with my luck I pull it out and it goes flat. I went to work the next day and my Dad took my car to Firestone which is right next door, and they fixed it right away with no problem. He said they were quick and friendly and also give a 15% discount to anyone who works in the complex. Which I thought was really cool. I'll def be back! read more

First contact at the counter was with Don who was rude, arrogant, dismissive and passive/aggressive with both me and the three customers who followed me. He should be fired immediately. Repair to tire was made promptly to remove a nail/bolt in my tire tread. They checked off that all four tires were at recommended pressure and they checked the washer fluid was filled among other things. I drove off the lot and all four tires were under pressure and at different pressures and the low washer fluid warning was on. I had to go fill my tires. Next morning repaired tire was deflated to 24 (from 35). I filled it again. That evening pressure was down to 22. Filled it. Next morning back to 24. Called the store and they denied ever working on it. Even though I had the receipt. Called the 800 number and they said the area manager would call me. He never did. I only had his email not a phone number. They wouldn't give me one. Every morning and every evening I had to refill with air. Two more days went by and I called the 800 number again and they said the regional manager would call. By day 4 I woke up to air pressure of 6 PSI filled it again. After work back down to 4 PSI. After SIX DAYS and not hearing from anyone I returned this rental to Avis and it became their problem. DO NOT VISIT THIS STORE! The safety of your family should not be in the hands of these INCOMPETENT CLOWNS! They never fixed the issue and then they lied about the work they didn't do. What could be worse? I can't think of anything worse. I won't ever go back there. Not their fault but I almost got stabbed by a drug addict trying to get air at 11PM. Ironically I went there when I noticed the nail (with normal air pressure) to avoid losing air pressure and having a problem or safety issue. Again avoid this store! read more

This is the BEST place for auto care. They do not try to get you to buy extra service. All they do is show your vehicle service recommendations from the manufacturer. They'll never lie or cheat. Recently I came in for routine maintenance. They had let me know the battery needs to be replaced but since I bought my car only 6 months ago, the battery is under warranty at the dealership. That saved me $144! They also showed me how to get a military discount and coupons. Amazing service!!! read more

My car had a flat tire and I was recommended to go to this place based off of distance. I am not a local; I was visiting for the weekend and on the day of my departure, I discovered a flat--still had to travel the 7 hours back to California that day. We arrived at Firestone and they said they would take a look at the car as soon as possible. After an hour and a half of waiting (with only one other person in the waiting room), they finally took the car back in the garage. After 2 hours of waiting in the lobby, Jason R. comes to tell us that 1) we need a new tire- fine thats okay- couldn't be patched, not something he can fix but still unhappy because I purchased the new tire a month ago, 2) I could not purchase only 1 tire, I had to purchase 2 because it was "company policy" WHATEVER THE HECK THAT MEANS (there was nothing wrong with my other tire and I discussed this with other tire places and ALL of them said that I did not need the extra tire for one day; they ALL said Firestone Complete Auto Care tried to steal more money, freaken idiots 3) they did not have a tire in their shop (so they would have to order it--the tire would not be there for another day, therefore I would have to stay another night in Tuscon, pass!) and refused to put one used tire on the car so I could travel back to California to go to my own tire shop Not only was this a waste of time; however, Jason R. and the Firestone Complete Auto Care were wildly unhelpful and obscenely pathetic. I always have a good experience with Firestone which keeps me coming back. I usually go to the other location in town on broadway but this location had later hours which worked better for my work schedule. I was easily able to request a reservation online and got a call to confirm hours plus an email confirmation. When I checked in I told them I was concerned about a certain tire which I kept having to refill. They inspected it, found a nail, and fixed it up for free since it was one of their tires. Easy! Excellent customer service, great communication, good movie playing in the lobby, and my wait was quick. I love that they keep a record of my visits/services if I ever need it. I am huge on customer service and the guy JOE who works there is crazy rude. An elder of mine called in to ask about some Veterans Day discounts and he was giving him a hard time, it's crazy how someone can be rude to an elder who served this country. I have been a customer at the 7950 E Speedway Tucson AZ location for years. The staff has always been helpful and friendly, so I've had no issues there. On 7/20/16 I dropped my car off because my engine light had come on, then shut off. I needed to pass emissions and wanted to be sure there would be no issues. After getting a phone call from Firestone, I was told I needed a new fuel pump and I should have various other work done. I agreed to the fuel pump replacement ($600 + $98 for the use of the computer diagnostics) but wanted to wait on the other issues due to the additional cost. After picking up my vehicle I decided to look at the Courtesy Check list after going home, which I never do because I trusted them to tell me about what's going on and to take care of it. They must use some sort of Magic 8 Ball during this "Courtesy Check". The first clue was the washer fluid was marked off in the green OK box. My washer fluid was completely empty when I brought it in and wouldn't even squirt. The oil level box was marked off in the red box with a hand written note that stated "low 1q". I couldn't understand why this wouldn't have been mentioned to me during that first phone call. I checked the oil level myself, and it was fine. The brake fluid box was marked in the yellow box as suggested, and the copper PPM were circled at 30. The brake fluid in my car was flushed about 1,000 miles prior to this visit, and it will be good to go for some time. I can't help but wonder if I really needed that fuel pump, or was it just the Magic 8 Ball? Have I been spending hundreds of dollars again and again on work I didn't need? I happen to have all of my invoices dating back since 2009. I guess it's time to look them over. I don't know a lot about my car, but this has inspired me to learn more. I guess I should be thankful to Firestone for that. I will never spend money in a Firestone location again, even if I need to push my car past one of your stores to get to another shop that charges more. *******Update on my 7/21/16 post******* On 7/22/16 I returned to Firestone at 7950 E Speedway to ask about my previous visit. The Courtesy Check list appeared to have been done by someone that didn't actually look at my car. The staff member I spoke with the first time didn't appear to be working. I didn't get the name of the new guy I spoke with, but he was friendly. I showed him the invoice from my visit, and told him of the inconsistencies on the list. I asked new guy why the brake fluid flush was marked as suggested when it was done 1,000 miles ago, he said the copper in the system was 'probably left over from the flush' but the current level was at "new car" levels, and was good. When I pointed out my oil was reportedly "1 qt low" on the check list new guy replied "maybe he checked it in the wrong spot". I pointed out the washer fluid was marked as good, when in fact it was completely empty. New guy nodded. I asked new guy how would I know I really needed a fuel pump if these other items were incorrect. New guy responded "because he's a master mechanic". There you have it folks. Master mechanics know when you need hundreds of dollars in repairs, but don't know how to check the oil or washer fluid. REPLY read more

My mother in law had to get her brakes replaced. They advised her that she needed her pads, rotors and drums replaced. She doesn't speak English that well and the people working there ended up taking 1k$. They didn't break it down enough for her to understand it was going to be that much. They need to have a Spanish speaker for these types of customers. I'm very disappointed because she was shocked when they told her the total. Apparently they just lack communication for Mexican-American people. 100% took advantage. Never would recommend this over priced place. read more

I have taken my 2003 Honda Element for oil changes and tire rotations and both times they suggested some maintenance that wasn't really needed. This last time, they just rolled over the list they'd written down the previous time of what they had said was needed the first time -- some of which I knew for a fact didn't need to be done. My daughter's car was towed here after it got stuck in the mud during the rain on Monday and would not start. They did a diagnostic and reported a host of things wrong and quoted her $1600 to repair it. They said the radiator is cracked and leaking fluid and their were several shorts. We had it towed to another place for a second opinion...turns out Firestone lied! The radiator is not cracked! Price quote from the new place is $200! The folks at Firestone are crooks! We gave these guys 3 chances to make things right and they failed miserably. My car had 2 broken window motors. After keeping the car for several days, I was told it was ready. The car won't start. They let the battery run down. As I am driving away, I notice that the passenger window is still making the same horrible noise it was making before. The driver's window works now but there are greasy smudges all over the door. The still broken passenger side is clean. They worked the same door twice. Both doors are missing trim pieces. 2nd trip: they fix the second motor, but we're still missing trim. Vehicle inspection does not detect shredded rear windshield wiper. 3rd trip: Replace trim, replace wiper, but no, we can't use the $25 coupon for the $12.95 windshield wiper. The coupon/mailer does not state that a minimum purchase is required. read more

They put in a new battery. 2 1/2 hours later still not done. "Mechanic" broke some parts along the way. Some new tech was practicing on my car, unsupervised. Brought my concerns to the front office - made a minimal effort to find the parts. I never heard back from them. The car has not been able to be repaired since this day. What a waste. It worked fine, then it did not work. I draw my own conclusions. A car with only 50K on it that was working perfectly well suddenly dead. Repairs estimated @$2000.00 plus by two different repair shops. Never, ever again. It takes 20 minutes to put in a new battery, 30 if you are slow. read more

I have brought my car to this place for several years. I used to take to the one on base for years as an active duty officer. I probably should have stopped when in this location, they broke my wind shield when the mechanic came out to change my wind shield wiper. He acted as if he is doing me a favor and let go of the wind shield wiper causing the windshield to brake I was standing there so he had to confess and they paid for the replacement. As if this was not enough to do with a patron, after a year of taking my car, again they did something quite amazing. This last month, I took my car and they apparently either forgot to put the oil gasket back or dropped oil all over my engine. They also left a plastic bag or something in my engine (which possibly had the filter in it). As I was driving it was affecting my driving by creating air resistance making noise as air was going through it. I took my car back and after they looked at it, they blame the construction of my car (Toyota Avalon!) for the awful smell of oil emitting from my car. I still smell the burning smell of oil even two weeks after I took my car there. They should have given my money back to get a descent oiled change elsewhere. This is the easiest thing that novice people can do and here professional mechanics damage you car just to do an oil change. In addition, I am upset and every time I smell the oil when I get out of my car, I feel taken advantage of and treated unprofessionally especially because I assume they did that because I am a woman. It was the end of the day but there is no excuse to just close the engine hood when you do not check your work to see if you have left something in the patron's car or your misplaced something. These people are careless and unprofessional. I was a loyal customer but I will never take my car to another firestone car center in the future.. I was being forgiving of the fact that they broke my windshield after they replace it but I should have known better to trust these people. I also think they lied about what they did which makes them very dishonest. read more

First let me start of my review by stating up front that the manager Bills customer service and friendliness is beyond reproach and is the only saving grace of that business. Absolute best service I have ever had. He deserves to be somewhere where they have competent employees that don't put his hard work to shame. Now with that said the rest of them are absolute crooks. I bring my families cars in there not because I don't know how to work on cars but rather I don't want to. When my wife took her truck in to them (check engine light came on) and they told her that the diagnostic read that she had bad fuel injectors I told her that its possible. They then stated that it was not just 1 but all of them (problem #1). They then proceeded to try and charge her $2400 stating that fuel injectors for her truck are $500 a piece (problem #2) . I told her to leave that place immediately. I got her truck back home and hooked it up to my diagnostic it showed that all of the injectors were firing fine and that a spark plug was bad. Had they taken a second to pull the wire off and look at it they would have seen it was cracked and she could have walked out of there with a 10$ repair. Ended up fixing it for the cost of new spark plugs and wires. This leads me to believe that they just try and take advantage of people whenever they get the chance and I will never return to this location. read more

I would recommend avoiding this shop. I've experienced worse, but there are some less than competent technicians at this location and they do not communicate accurate information. Also, they will, if timing is good for their volume, try to sell unnecessary services. Over the past 4 years, the following problems were experienced: (1) After Firestone's routine engine coolant service, radiator/reservoir continuously lost coolant - their initial response was to simply top off coolant and not try to find the leak; after returning identifying continuous leakage, they claimed that there was a pinhole leak in the radiator and replaced the radiator (at 65,000 miles on the vehicle) at a cost of $570; coolant leakage continued over the next two years and three return visits during which they again just topped off coolant and, in one case (after radiator replacement) used the air bubble excuse as the likely explanation for the appearance of coolant leakage (however, leakage continued); finally after 2-1/2 years, they finally found a small leak at a hose clamp, tightened the clamp, and there has not been leakage since. (2) Have replaced 9 tires at this shop over the past 4-1/2 years - some due to age/wear, some due to irreparable damage, one due to a Firestone patch that failed after a couple years. In fairness, they have been very good about repairing punctured tires at no additional cost. However, they have repeatedly under-inflated tires causing a tire pressure monitor warning light immediately after service or shortly after service when the air temperature dropped and tires cooled. In some cases, they actually indicated on the tech's worksheet that they set the tire pressure to the wrong level per manufacturer's recommendation - in other cases, their worksheet showed the correct tire pressure, only to find that tire pressures were actually lower. On 3 occasions, I found one tire grossly under-inflated (greater than 5 psig low) shortly after service and, after properly inflating the tire myself and monitoring for a few weeks, verified no leakage. Most recently, I had two tires replaced at this shop - one was manufactured 7 months ago (reasonable), but one was manufactured 31 months ago (it was not a used tire, but had been sitting in inventory for over 2 years). When I asked the 'service advisor' about this, his response was unacceptable and full-price was charged. On 2 occasions when tire rotation was requested, with a drawing showing the requested sequence, the shop failed to rotate the tires. On one occasion, the shop rotated tires on their own, but failed to show the sequence of rotation on the tech's worksheet. (3) On one visit, the shop indicated that there was leakage from one of two front struts and recommended replacement of both front struts - I agreed to do this ($625); at the same time, they tried to sell me on replacement of rear shocks - when I had a technical discussion about this with the 'service advisor,' he finally acknowledged that there was nothing wrong with the rear shocks and that there was no legitimate reason to replace them. On this same visit, the shop recommended fuel system cleaning, indicating that this should be done every 15,000 miles (the manufacturer does not recommend this service on anything close to that schedule). (It was apparent that the shop volume was low on this visit which is the probable explanation for the attempted sell of additional services; while the shop volume was high on other visits when I was trying to get them to address engine coolant leakage, when they simply topped off coolant and did not try to identify the actual problem.) Summary: After dealing with some questionable troubleshooting at other nearby shops, I decided to take my business to this Firestone shop beginning about 4-1/2 years ago. After carefully monitoring what they have/have not done, what they have written on their technician worksheets, what they have communicated to me verbally, and their lack of following the written requests that I've provided to them, I'll be going elsewhere. read more
