My tire pressure light had come on yesterday, so this morning I drove to the Firestone place close to my son's school around 8 am. The polite fellow behind the counter said they'd look at it and offered me a seat in their lounge (nice and clean, TV, and plenty of magazines). I'd planned ahead and brought my cell charger. I didn't get more than a few plays in on Wordfeud on my phone before he came back and said a tire just needed air, they'd inspected all the tires, and it was no charge. Wow, made my day! I was having a crappy day - got a flat tire and luckily this Firestone center was right around the corner from my work. Dropped my car off in the morning, they had the tire in stock and got to work. About 3 hours in, I got a call informing me that they suggested I get another tire replaced and the tire wear indicated that I needed an alignment. I added on an oil change to the mix. Got my car back the same day and it drives great! These guys are on top of things; quick service, good prices! I recommend them very highly! read more

They assessed the situation as being the air filter and also brought to my attention that one of my tires is at 1 while I was thinking to drive up to SF. Talk to Harry! He is the man. I shopped around at about 8 different places for tires, alignment and an oil change. I told him the cheapest prices for each and he matched them all. Also went in because of a check engine light and they gave me the code for free. Harry is very helpful, not so sure about the other people working there. They did not seem as helpful. In the end I got a $20 oil change, $50 electronic alignment (other places charge about $80), and tires for around $400. read more

Don't waste you time on this place. I went in to remove a nail from my tire and instead got my rims scratched and they had the nerve to try and cover it up and made me wait for and hour and a half just to let the paint dry. And still tried to charge me. When I refused to pay the manager Caesar rudely treated me like I was the one in the wrong and told me never to come back. Poor service and disgraceful staff. read more

I am never buying tires anywhere else but here. After being told everywhere else that my tires were too awkward and big i almost decided that i should get a new car. That's no longer the case. Tech took my WRX on a joyride while I was there. I came here because they're a Tire Rack installer and a screw gave one of my tires a slow leak. I bought a new set of tires online and made an appointment. As I'm there waiting for the install, I hear my car and look outside to see it turning into the lot from the same direction I came originally, having gone at least around the block. When the tech comes in, I hear the lady at the counter say to him quietly, "Just so you know, it's not a drop off, he's waiting here." I looked over and the tech looked like a deer in headlights. I was furious. The leaking tire was pretty low, and driving an all wheel drive vehicle with a low tire is bad for the differential. But I didn't say anything because I just wanted to get out of there quickly and never come back. TWO HOURS LATER they finally finished and I paid and left. I didn't think writing a review would do any good, but this was a few months ago and I'm still ticked off about it. I guess the takeaway is don't come here if you want fast, honest service. read more

This by far is the WORST Firestone I have ever been to. I have been dealing with Firestone for over 15 years for service and vehicle inspections. I scheduled an appointment told them what I needed and arrived at the designated time. When I arrived they asked me for a form. I have never brought in a form as they have an agreement with the company to perform the inspection. They did nothing to try to resolve the situation as I blocked out time to have this done. I absolutely loved the service I got at Firestone. Everyone was so nice especially the manager, Cesar. I went in wanting an oil change and some new tires. Let me be honest, I know nothing about cars. I came in here for a set of tires several days ago because i just realized thanks to a friend that my tires were crap. I was skeptical about this Firestone place since it is a national chain instead of the mom-and-pop shops i normally go to, but i needed tires and gave it the benefit of the doubt. I arrived and receieved a friendly greeting from Sophie. I told her what i needed and she gladly showed me all the available tire choices for my car, including what's called a "Lifetime Package". The tire prices were actually better than i expected them to be, so i jumped on a set of Bridgestones. And knowing how L.A. roads can be i went ahead and got the Lifetime Balance and Rotation as well. Sophie mentioned a wait time of an hour and a half for the service. I was watching the TV inside, made a few calls, and next thing i knew she called up my name saying my car was done. It took less than an hour. I was amazed, and the tire shine on my new set was a plus! Overall my experience here was great. Customer service is great, informative and friendly. My tire service was done within a very reasonable time. I will definitely come back here for anything else i may need for my car. read more

I'm very happy with my recent Alignment service I got today. I've gotten worked done here in the past and they've always been good. Good means I'm too lazy to write a review. However today the staff at Firestone went above and beyond in making sure things were done right. I tried to get my much needed alignment done at my regular Studio City Firestone to no avail. There machine was experiencing issues and I wouldn't be able to get it done in time for my Sunday trip. So I decided to call the Van Nuys Firestone to see what they could do to fit me in later afternoon early Friday evening. I was told that they were real busy and chances to get it done were slim. I really wanted to avoid spending my Saturday morning at a Firestone. Saturday on a Labor Day weekend at that. I was given an appointment for noon. I was happy with that and geared up for the wait. I know my vehicle requires a little more TLC. So whenever I get an alignment from Firestone. I plan a care package that consist of an Ipad, Book, Music to my leisure, and anything else I could think of to pass 1.5-2hrs. I came just a tad before noon to find that Firestone teamed up with NAPA FILTERS/Auto Parts to give people a Labor Day BBQ. NAPA had set up a Booth right at the corner. I parked my vehicle and was greeted by the Manager Cesar. He was really pleasant to deal with and made sure to get all my request done. He told me exactly what the wait expectation would be. I said as long as I'm out by 2pm, I'm happy. I was quickly told to enjoy the Free BBQ outside by Cesar. I figured I'd get something ice cold to drink as I'm limiting my Red Meat intake. I can't tell you how nice the Staff was from both Napa and Firestone. I was constantly asked by different staff members if I got any of the BBQ yet. The gentleman from NAPA name Prince was extremely nice in making sure I was taken care of. I told him I wasn't eating Red Meat and I got my Ice water already. He quickly said I can get you a Turkey Burger going right now/ I was very shocked that they even thought that far ahead for people who didn't want/eat red meat. He made sure to get my Turkey Burger going on the grille and had be covered. I ended up talking to a few of the staff members from NAPA and they sure are a bunch of good guys. I've never really visited a NAPA store as I mainly stop off at Pep Boys or Autozone. However based on this interaction with them. I will surely check out NAPA for things as well. I just want to thank the other Manager Harry for making sure things were going smooth with all the customers that were there. The district manager happened to be there as well. I didn't catch his name but he was very pleasant as well. When I walked out of the doors to pick up my vehicle I was greeted with a "HAY". I looked over and quickly recognized "TED" from the Studio City Firestone. He happened to remember me and we had a brief friendly conversation. I will say this was one of the most memorable experiences I ever experienced in Customer Service. Thank you Van Nuys Firestone & Napa Auto Parts. I also got some Free give away stuff as well. I didn't get the name of the Tech who did the alignment on my vehicle. You did an outstanding job based on the circumstances. Thanks for doing a great job. I'd also like to thank the young lady at Firestone as well. She was really eager to help me and others that walked into the doors. I've taken my 3 vehicles to this location and they've been the nicest people to deal with. I recently took my Sienna to get the break pads changed and get 2 new tires. Initially I'd taken it to the dealer and while the prices aren't much cheaper here I was more interested in using their Firestone credit card to finance the charges. They offer 6 months with zero interest charges to pay off the debt and that's a big thumbs up! Overall, Andrea and the staff were soooo amazing in providing all the service details and charges and even worked to give me some discounts. I was told also that because the tires weren't in stock they'd have to order and then install the next day. Well, when I called she told me that they'd managed to get the new tires and they were installing them so that I wouldn't worry about going back! They close at 6:00pm but her and the mechanics stayed until they finished the job. I picked up my vehicle at close to 8:00pm. I can't tell you how much time and worry they saved me. I was there 3 months ago to replace 3 tires and get a new battery. First, they replaced the wrong tires and left on one of the bad tires even though I gave them explicit instructions on which ones to replace. When I got home and noticed their error, I went back the following morning for a free replacement of the bad tire they left on but they argued with me and were rude. No apologies for their mistake or for putting me in danger. Also, less than 3 months later, the "new" battery they put in my Mazda 3 has failed. I am at my galpin Mazda dealership in van Nuys now just buying a new one because I don't trust that Firestone would replace it with a decent battery at this point. Forget this place. Total scam and not worth trying to save a few bucks upfront only to have to spend even more in the end. read more

They performed a complete vehicle inspection on my recently purchased used vehicle. It was performed rather hastily. They produced a random list of maintenance procedures that they recommended. They did not check the suspension that was quoted as part of their inspection. They did not test drive the vehicle to accurate recommend other manufacturer's maintenance. read more

Front tire was making noise, so decided to stop by here to have it look at, around 6:15 pm (they close at 6pm). Worker said to ask the manager (Cesar) n see if they could repair the tire due to after working hour. Cesar gave a green light so my tire was fixed. Ceasar and Isaac are two of the best guys around...They are passionate about what they do and really listen and are concerned about getting customers back on the road. I have a 2006 Toyota Avalon and have been servicing my car with them for years! They do it all, they go out of their way to get best pricing, get the job done quickly, communicate throughout the process, and if it doesn't go right, which is very rare--only once in my 8 years or so of going to this establishment-- they are quick to admit responsibility, apologize and fix it on the spot! When I say i get work done, I mean more than just an oil change....I've had CV boots changed, rack and pinions, struts, shocks and brakes, hoses and belts, alignments and rotations, rotors, and more...I am a perfectionist with my car and they meet my high maintenance standards and remain calm everytime! If that doesn't say "stand up character" then I don't know what more you are looking for.....you can spend a fortune at the dealerships, or you can spend a fraction of the cost with a great bunch of people who care, and will get you on the road in no time! My recommendation is to buy their lifetime warranty items and take it back for free every time. Their lifetime alignment product has saved me a ton in the last decade alone! read more

The team at this particular Firestone is amazing! Everyone works so well together and their communication is great, so you're not having to repeat your repair/maintenance needs over and over. You're greeted with friendly faces, knowledgeable staff and honest technicians. I have been a customer of this Firestone for a couple of years now and I have never been disappointed. The manager, Cesar C., has definitely gone out of his way to ensure that when you leave, you completely understand the recommendations, repairs/maintenance that has been completed and he will educate you to no end about auto mechanics...which has been extremely helpful. well, i never learned my lesson to this place third time experience, i know but i will never come back or refer this place to anyone in my famalia. i inspected my tires for any nails etc, in to their lot before service. i found no issues no nails or whatsoever my tires are fine and with air o r whatever. they took the car for oil change and i added rotations. guess what? this guys are really good inserting nails on my tire. well, the nails came from them, i argued to the person in charge, i said you put that thing in there, they put inside the tire where no one could see it and i noticed the head of the nail has no scratches from the road very clean, indications that it was just inserted intentionally you can tell and i can tell. the mere fact that their argument was, did i checked all throughout, i said yes, but i said how come if that nail been sitting there how come my tires didn't deflated. these guys performing illegal work and they are trying to ripped off customers, during my conversation with this people i noticed and i turned around the person i was dealing with signaling the other performing the job with "thumbs up finger" so that means the guys was successfully charged me, you thieves.. . that stealing guys... like what they said what goes around comes around... customers, beware watch your car all through out the process never never never leave out of your sight trust me they will add problems read more
