This was awful. The service manager was awful. He was rude and yelled at me because they close at 4:00, but online it says 5:00pm. He went on to berate me and say there were three appoints, He changed the time to 12:00pm he says, but no one called me about the change. He was rude, nasty and kept looking at me, or glaring at me. His name was Shiwin. I told him his attitude was horrible. He apologize the second with a creepy smile and then I saw him walk away. He did not apologize until I called him out. I also missprounced his name by accident he he snapped at me. He was kind to the man he was working with and the older Caucasian couple. I am not Caucasian and a female. They also chipped my rim on the drivers side. They did not reset my oil change gage to 100% either and I had to tell them to do it. Meanwhile he kept a creepy weird smile, which was condescending like I know I chipped your rim. I did make a complaint with corporate and need reimbursement. They did not ask me what oil I wanted and just choose for me. I was going to leave, but my oil was at 10%. This was awful experience and his strange smile did not make me feel safe or comfortable as the only female there after the other customers left. I would like to speak to the owner and manager, not service manager, but general manager. He was horrific, made me feel unsafe and my rim needs to be fixed. $110 dollars is to expensive for an oil change, which I did pay. I never paid this much before. I felt unsafe, harassed with the rudeness and condescending apology after I called him out after him raising his voice. I will be sending the chip on my rim to corporate. read more

After doing my research on Tirerack.com I determined that the Firestone LE3 was the best replacement tire for my F150 where the criteria was top performance in handling in wet, snowy and dry driving conditions. After determining that and searching all the tire businesses in the area the Firestone Complete Auto Care store had the best price not inclusive of the sale price that was going on which made the price that much better (Timing is everything and sometimes its better to be lucky than good!). As part of my search process I called the business for a quote which they gave me over the phone and they also sent it to me electronically which I definately liked as I have experienced "surprise's" in the past with other businesses where the in store price did not match the price given over the phone. Based on the quote I set up a appointment time where I was told in advance the Job would take upwards of 2 hours where I was going to wait in store while my new tires were installed. Long story short, my service took only 1.5 hours from the time I arrived where the manager during the process was super pleasant and very helpful. Additionally and very importantly to me, my truck was as clean going out the door as it was going in the door (no dirt/grime on the steering wheel or seat/trim). The last thing worth mentioning in my dealings with this businesses was how helpful and friendly the manager was in answering my questions up front while I was investigating this tire as a possible replacement for my old tires. The Manager was very helpful and pleasant in answering all my questions about these specific tires and confirmed the performance and customer sat data I had seen on tirerack.com. HIs feedback and friendly demeanor really was the final deciding factor for me going with these tires and his business. In summary a very pleasant experience where I felt I got great tires, at a great price and the service exceeded my expectations. $826 out the door was the best price I had seen for comparative tires of this quality/performance where I had prepared myself for $1K price tag. Made an appointment to get my sons brakes replaced a week in advance for first thing Saturday morning because they told me that's when their technician would be available. Dropped the car off as they opened. 6 hours later I call and am told they haven't even looked at it yet. I specifically asked them twice if it would be done today and was assured it would be. An hour before they close I call them back because I still haven't heard anything. They still haven't even looked at it and now I get a story that they are still doing work left over from the day before. My entire day has been wasted. If they would have been honest about the timing when I dropped it off or when I called the first time, I would have been understanding. But, to not be transparent and waste my time really is frustrating. Won't get my business again. read more

I came in with rear end noise and $1441.07 and 5 hours later I left with rear end noise. With the promise that it will clear up once the left side is done again. I looked under my car and it appears the sensor on the right rear side has been cut and held up with a pull tie. I'm frightened to return for fear that my car will continue to be destroyed at my expense. I would like a refund. My service advisor was Hylee and the technician Kyle. I'm so disappointed. read more

Unfortunately my past few experiences here have not been the greatest... I just realized they over filled my oil when I took my vehicle in there. I took it in and got an oil change and it was leaking oil because the drain plug wasn't tightened. So, I took it in to get that fixed and apparently they filled the oil up completely. I just checked the dipstick today and it's up very high. I have to go out and drain some because they REALLY overfilled it. I also took the same vehicle in because I had a bad tire wobble. I told them it was the CV Axle, but they still had to inspect it. I had a coupon for an inspection (including a few other things too). I was charged the coupon price and another price for an inspection. Luckily the credit card company (Firestone card) gave me a credit because of this error. The cost to get one CV Axle replace was very expensive. Upon checking around, because I have to get the driver side done since Firestone could not get the part, I have found out I paid about double what I should have. read more

I'm happy with this place...not sure why all the negative reviews. I came here on the recommendation of a friend. I popped in one day, was waited on immediately. Told them what I was looking for in the way of tires; they made some recommendations and we agreed on a product at a price I could afford as well as a date and time to bring my car in for the work. I took the car in early in the morning, they did what they promised and called me when the work was done later that morning. They explained everything; went over the bill with me. Visiting grandchild and knew my tires were just ok and found out today with all the snow in Detroit. Slid several times and had trouble on inclines. Pulled in store for 2 front tires. I've been to this place many times and I have mixed experienced each time. They're great at what they do, but they are pricey. Sometimes the customer service is great, sometimes it's terrible, this is why I'm giving them three stars. The one thing that is consistent is that they always, without fail, take longer on a job than you expect them to. I've learned to drop my car off for the day when I bring it, but there are still the poor souls who wait the 2 hours for an oil change thinking it's only going to be a half hour. Bottom line, if you want a professional unbiased opinion about a problem your car is having or you want a good rate on tires with a good warranty and don't care about customer service, these are your guys. Firestone was Ok, but do not deal with Hylee in there. Guy has absolutely no idea how to do his job. I was lied to about the time it would take to fix my Accord. It should take 3 days to change the Oil and rotate my tires. Should have gone across the street to the Belle tire...at least it may have gotten down a lot quicker. read more

I asked them to scan my engine because the engine light is on , after they scanned it they gave me some codes ,and they need to do a diagnostic check to determine what parts to be replaced that cost 100$ , after they did it ,they said they need to replace 2 parts each cost 128$ and with the labor it will cost more than 400$ , I found the parts in amazon both 29$ and another mechanic took only 75 to replace them, they were trying to rip me off. read more

I needed my car serviced and they were able to take a look same morning as I called. They have free wifi at this location which is definitely nice if you wait while they work on your car. I also had my oil changed here and unfortunately they missed something so it was leaking. To their credit, they were able to get the issue resolved the same day as I called about it and they didn't charge me anything for fixing this problem. Mistakes can happen and at least I feel they handled it reasonably well so I will be back here. read more

I've been coming in here for oil changes for 7 years now. The good part is, they actually do the job right. I dont think any of my oil changes have been messed up by any means. The first few times I came here, I actually used to wait there because they told me it would not take long, maybe 30 minutes. And i would go around 10:00-11:00 during the weekdays because its less busy at that time. Well that 30 minutes would take an hour, hour and a half usually. Lately I've been going on the weekends and dropping the car off. Oil change took 3 hours. THREE. WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER. I went to this Firestone because it was close to work, thinking my oil change can be done during my lunch hour. I was there for about 3 hours. Needless to say, I was beyond pissed. Apparently the manager was at lunch, so the mechanics decided to let my car sit for over 2 hours before they worked on it while they putz around. The only reason they started working on my car is because the manager finally came back from lunch and I gave him a piece of my mind. And somehow, within hours after leaving the store, my brakes started grinding, which ended up costing me $1000 later on to fix. I left a nasty review on the Firestone website, the Corporate called me offering me 2-3 oil changes thinking that would resolve my hatred for this place. Seriously? If there's a less than 0 rating, I'd give them that. I honestly don't think it's a coincidence that they decided to do what they did because I'm a woman. This is why those guys won't get anywhere in life. And the manager should be fired too since he's the one overseeing those guys, clearly there's a management authority issue. Brought our car here for a flat tire repair. Ten hours later the tire was flat again. They left the metal that caused the flat in the tire, didn't fill the hole and just patched over it. They also did not reinstall the lug nut cover on the wheel and we had to come back for it. I would not rely on them for service in the future. Changed the oil, rotated tires, and aligned the car in no time. Kicking myself for coming here! I had a broken control arm that I got fixed here ($1000+ repairs). But the work done was so shoddy that one of the nuts was not tightened fully!! As a result, I used to feel jerks while braking. Took back the car to be fixed - but got it back in the same condition and was told that the issue was fixed - NOT! I then went to a NAPA service center where the mechanic found and fixed the issue in 5 mins - for free! Never went back to this Firestone again. read more

I have used this store for tire work several times, and also for basic maintenance. Recently, when my wife's Taurus transmission was having a hard shift issue, I asked them if I should bother with a transmission flush. They told me not to risk it, that it may make it worse--and that I would be better off taking it to a Ford dealer where they may be able to get more information by scanning the transmission control module. They get huge points for honesty for that--lots of places would just try to sell you the fluid flush. It turned out that I had a known issue, and needed a new Turbine Speed Sensor. read more

I had traveled from Chicago to Pontiac for a sporting event and about 10 minutes from Pontiac my battery light started flashing. I checked the owners manual and found it was most likely in need of an alternator. I called the closer Firestone and he referred me here because they were open later on Saturday night and on Sunday. I got to the store at 4:45 pm knowing they closed at 7 pm. They were able to diagnose my car and determine it was indeed the alternator within 30 minutes even though the garage was full. Once they found the problem, they called to order the part only to find out the parts store didn't have a driver on duty because of the snow storm that was occurring outside. Steve the manager sent another employee, Sylvester, into the storm to get the part. He returned, Adam installed the alternator, and I was out the door at 6:55 pm. All three guys went above and beyond to get me out that night so I could drive back to Chicago and not spend the night in Detroit. Big thumbs up to Steve, Sylvester and Adam. You guys are terrific!! By the way, to the first reviewer on this page, Vickie, if you have a bad experience, tell people, but leave out the personal attacks. And if you didn't get a clear definition of the amount of time an oil change would take when you gave them the keys, then 3 hours is your problem not theirs. read more

Getting ready for a two hour drive home and got a flat tire from a screw. Needed a patch that takes ten minutes. Took it in around 1pm and was told there are only two people ahead of us and it shouldn't take any more than an hour. Every hour we checked in and they kept saying one more hour. 3.5 hours later it was finally done. They are not good at giving eta and did not have enough room in the waiting area. Worst customer service.... EVER! told me my car would be done in 1 day then called and told me they would get me a rental car then asked for my credit card number... really??? Then called me again and told me I needed this and this and that and my price went from 0-1,000,000,000 in 3 Seconds when I only went in for new brakes. Do NOT go here go to Belle tire or anywhere else. You are better off fixing your car yourself. I had to take it back twice after picking it up the first time because they didn't even do it right. I was a regular with Firestone. My AC in my CAR (Nissan Versa 2012) is not working. Firestone told there is a leak in Value and replaced Value and refilled the AC gas (which cost around 280 dollars). But it stopped working in 2 days with 50 miles of car driving. When I went again they told me the condenser is gone and they wanted me to pay 800 dollars (Which also included refilling the AC fluid) for replacing the condenser. Firestone technician wants me to believe that happened for 50 miles. I think Firestone when they repaired, they broke my condenser in the first place or they did not do proper diagnostics (Anyhow for me I will lose of additional 280$). Already they overcharge but now their services are very bad. Its red alert for me to never use your service ever. Also, they close the store at random time sometimes they close at 5 pm even though they mention in their website and tell you that they close at 7 pm. Never again read more

A man named Steven who works here was fantastic! I was told by another place that I needed to get a belt drive replaced, rear brakes done and a few other things when I went for an oil change. I thought it sounded like a mechanic trying to charge for repairs I didn't need. I took it to this Firestone and Steven took a look at the car and did a full inspection for me-- turns out NOTHING needed repairing! I would stay away from this place..my husband went a few days before I did and got a tire rotation for $10. I went in to get my tires rotated and he was going to charge me $20. I said to him my husband only paid $10 so he said okay...such discrimination. They automatically want to rip off woman. I use this place for simple issues like changing my tires from winter to summer etc. From my experience they are better than some other repair shops I've dealt with.
