Do not use the location in Boulder, Colorado! I brought my truck in for a brake inspection and left extremely disappointed with the level of service and professionalism. Something about the interaction did not sit right with me, so I pulled over shortly after leaving. I discovered a bolt that was nearly falling off -- an issue that simply required tightening. Despite this, I was quoted approximately $700 for upper control arm bushing replacement, which appeared to be completely unnecessary based on what I found. That experience seriously raised concerns about the accuracy of their inspection process and the recommendations being made. Bradley and the individual managing the service desk did not inspire confidence, and unfortunately, I left feeling that the diagnosis and suggested repairs were not trustworthy. I would strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before approving expensive repair work here. read more

I brought my car to get my oil changed. When I picked it up my check engine light was on, and my car was making a horrible noise and lost power. I let Breaks Plus know and took it back for them to look at it. They told me they had no Idea what was going on and I had to take it to another mechanic. I took it to another mechanic who informed me the car was started without oil and the engine would not be reliable in the future. Breaks Plus did everything they could to push the blame off on me and take no responsibility for anything. Breaks plus then sent me to their insurance company who did an investigation and again put all the responsibility back on me. Throughout this whole process neither Breaks Plus nor the insurance company would call me back. I was without a vehicle for 54 days. This was one of the worst experiences with a company I have ever had. As a consumer I would never use Breaks Plus. read more

Breaks plus assured my son all he needed was a water pump. At 1st they told them their engine technician wasn't there but they decided he needed a water pump. They told him the car would be ready at the end of the day but then it turned out it wasn't and he had to leave it for the weekend assuring him a discount. When my Son went to retrieve his car they charged him $700 and then told him his car will only run for 6 days, maybe 6 months. The car was barely drivable at home making a loud engine noise that it didn't make before. The car shut off never to start again. eventually They charged him for replacing the fuel pump and doing something With the timing belt and felt justified in doing so. read more

Jerry, Amando + any others working the front desk were just extremely helpful, accommodating and patient. Thanks to Amando specifically for booking my appointment and allowing me to look up under the car once they had it lifted up. Also-as a customer waiting- I witnessed several others come and go, all receiving polite, professional care. As for my oil change-- services were affordable and practical, I left giddy to be back on the road without breaking the bank. I took my car in for alignment. They charge me for an alignment. After inspecting the car with several other mechanics found out that they did not do the alignment that they charge me for. They also made several statements about other things in my vehicle were wrong, and after seeing other mechanics, ALL OTHERS ARE saying that there is nothing wrong with it. SEE BELOW pictures showing what it should look like after an alignment has been done on a vehicle. The second picture is my vehicle where you can tell the pins are still in place and no alignment has ever been put on the vehicle. They are either incompetent or intentionally ripping people off. I called them to complain about this and they didn't do anything but try to do what they charge me for the first time which didn't need to be done anyways. I originally had a scheduling with a different Brakes Plus location closer to my home for new brake pads and rotors, but I changed it to this location based on its 5/5 star. The other reason was that the other Brakes Plus (3.5/5 star) was trying to up charge me when asked to quote the prices on the rotor of being 150 each. However at this 5/5 Brakes Plus, NATHAN quoted 80-120 dollars for a rotor. After the free diagnosis, Nathan called and confirmed the need to replace the rotor and recommended that I replaced both rotors. He quote me the exact price for the rotors to be 120. I needed time to think and called back 10 minutes later. On my second call, Nathan said he found less expensive rotors for me at 90 dollars. He also included 20 dollars off for their Monday brake pad special and an additional 5 dollar off since I am a First Responder. In total he saved me 85 dollars. Lastly, everything was completed within 3 hours even though they were packed. Nathan also made sure he finished everything based on my requested time of 2 pm. He even topped off my washer fluid and air for my tires. I hope that anyone reading this would make their drive to this exact Brakes Plus in West Minister and definitely ask for Nathan. Been going to this location for four years. It used to be great. But now.... Made an appointment almost a week before for an oil change. Drop off my vehicle before the appointed time. 2 1/2 hours later no work had been done. This was the second time this has happened to me at this location. First time they told me they were shorthanded. I tried to be understanding. But to have it happen again?!?! It's an oil change. No diagnostics. No decisions to be made. If you can't honor the appointment tell me to bring it in later or reschedule. Don't expect me to sit around all afternoon without my vehicle. read more

I wanted to get my brakes checked as I frequently drive in the mountains and have 69000 miles on original brakes. I was able to make my appointment online, easy! I waited as they performed a brake check and rotated my tires, at the end they told me my brakes look good and there was no charge so I really appreciate their honesty. Been here before and had great service. NOT TODAY. Salesman went back to talk to Manager prior to taking my car as I let him know that I needed brakes and I needed my car back by 4:30. After consulting with Mgr, came back and took my keys, let me know I would get a call by about 1pm after inspection. They sent me off on a Lyft to my office. 2:15 I call, I am next on the list. 3:30 I call and they have my car in for all of the other services that I requested with the brakes however there is no way they have time to do my brakes. "We have to provide priority to our appointments Sir" When I get back, the salesman, Mando will not answer my questions directly. Says they will go over everything with me on Monday. I ask for his Mgr as I need to discuss the repairs prior to committing to an appt, He refuses, Just gives me his exaggerated smile. Says they will go over everything on Monday. Notices me looking at his name badge, "Yes my name is Mando" He says again exaggerating his smile toward me. Hands me the paperwork at which time finally goes through the bullet points on the paperwork, all of which he could have told me earlier were coming. I let him know this and he says that "you get alot further with kindness Sir". Who knew I would get life lessons and NO SERVICE today. I chose Brakes Plus mainly based off the proximity to my house and their availability to do an oil change when I needed it done. I had been taking my car to the dealership for years, and got sick of the wait and backlog. Everyone at Brakes Plus has been very nice and they definitely work to fit you into the schedule. They did great, and I used them for several expensive repairs over the next month. The true test of a shop is when something goes wrong, and that is where this shop truly shined. After having several items fixed on my car to stop the check engine light from coming on, I got the car back and the next morning the light came on again. I had work and it took a week to get back in. Plenty of shops would be defensive and ask for new diagnosis/etc to prove it was or wasn't their problem. Brakes Plus was great about keeping me updated and charged me nothing for an extra half day of labor to find out they had installed a part that went bad after a few weeks. I was never worried/upset or concerned because they took great care of me every time and know how to treat a customer. Bram and Nathan both have been excellent to work with, and they do more than just brakes, folks. read more

Brake Plus at 5170 W 120th Avenue Westminster CO did a Fabulous brake job and alignment for us!! I worked with Jerry and I'd rate him a 20 out of 5 stars. He was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Our brake pads even have a lifetime warranty! They unexpectantly inspected our vehicle, topped off our fluids and called to tell me that 3 tires needed a minor alignment. They applied $50 in coupons to our brake work and $20 to our alignment. Our alignment was $85 and we paid $65. I didn't know they had an alignment coupon! They are Very honest people! We Strongly recommend Brakes Plus for not only brake and alignment services, but they also provide many other services. In fact we are changing from Firestone to Brakes Plus! The surprising item is that they pay for a LYFT ride to return and take you from your home. This is very unusual. Thank you Brakes Plus! read more

If I could review this with 0 stars, I would. The GM of this store was the person assigned to doing a brake flush on my car, it took him 2 hours to tell me he doesn't feel comfortable doing the job. A brake flush.. at a brakes plus... Absolutely TERRIBLE service with techs that are extremely under knowledgeable on anything brake or vehicle related. This is the second time that I've gone to this brakes plus location. I worked with Nathan both times. First I want to say, a lot of people have stigma's around these types of places, but I've never received better service. They squeezed me in both times, and have been super honest about what I need and what I don't need. They are also very transparent about pricing. when I recently took my car in, they realized they were not able to fix what needed to get done. Nathan researched multiple Volvo services for me which I thought was super nice. I also called them multiple times that day with the information I received from the other car service and the staff answered all my questions. They even said I could call back with a price that the other car service was giving me and they will let me know if the price is fair. I really love working with Nathan but really all the staff are incredible. This will be the place that I go for all of my car needs. read more

Naturally I got a second opinion and was told the other parts were in good working condition and didn't need to be replaced. I would not trust these people and establishment with your car. Stopped by on my running around to get an oil change and happened to have a 50% off special. The truck was in and out and they never tired to pitch me on stuff that I didn't need. They said there were some things that may need done on the next oil change, like the air filter, but that is to be expected. All in all great experience and I was on my way in about 30 minutes.
