I have been a long time customer of Firestone for almost twenty years and four different vehicles. I have been impressed with their quality work and service up until this year. I do not know if the company was bought out, but I have begun to see that they are no longer the price to beat and their quality of work has gone down. My last brake job only lasted 29,000 miles of moderate daily freeway driving because they failed to lube the sliding pin to make sure that the calipers would open correctly and not rub. Needless to say I noticed it in the mileage as well. They said I needed a fuel injection clean. NOT! This last time was the last straw. I took it to them for new struts and shocks. I acted like I did not know the difference between a shock and a strut. When they called it was with a total price tag of $1,600 and change. I had already called around. Les Schwab had quoted me $780 lifetime parts and labor. Even Pep Boys was lower at $1,180. Carl's Automotive, a single-owner mom and pop garage, the kind of place that you expect to get gamed, came in at just under a grand. When you are almost $900 dollars more than the competition, you are gaming the customer. Don't go there. These guys will rip you off. read more

He really walked me through the entire process. Called me to update me about the repair. Really held my hand through the entire process. Dropped my car off at 11 am for an oil change and tire rotation. Was told they were busy and could I leave it until 5. I said yes as long as I get my car back tonight you can have it all day. The girl in the front gave me a sheet of suggested services. After we we left, we realized that we should in fact get some of the other services done so I called at 1130 to add some services. I specifically asked the girl if they had time for those services and was told yes. At 5 pm I get a call from the girl saying they need more time with my car and can I leave it overnight. I told her no. I asked what hadn't been done yet and let's just cancel whatever hasn't been done. Well, they hadn't even touched my car yet. Don't call customers and tell them you need "more time" with a car you haven't spent even 1 second on. Don't tell customers to have time to do work you don't have time to do. Needless to say, I'm not going to trust my car with people who can't even tell the truth about time. read more

WOW... WHAT A MIXED BAG OF REVIEWS GUYS! We have yet to have a negative experience with "Firestone" in Yucaipa, Redlands or San Bernardino. And we have been "Firestone" Customers for literally years! SOME OF THE NEGATIVE REVIEWERS NEED TO GET REAL... in reading most of the negative reviews it sounds like the reviewers are posting poor reviews simply because "Firestone" is popular and gets busy. Really my fellow reviewers; at least try to be fair in your postings. We have only purchased tires from "Firestone" ... to be very honest, we have a 2009 VW Jetta TDI (Turbo-Diesel); and somehow it would seem foolish to expect "Firestone" to work on such a specialized vehicle (and for what it is worth, my VW Dealer has unbeatable deals on service, parts & repair for TDIs). But "Firestone" has done an excellent job rotating & balancing our tires... for over 60,000 miles, and at very competitive prices! For tires I'm not sure "Firestone" can be beat; we have tried guys... We will probably continue using "Firestone" for all of our tire needs... OH, and please understand, "Firestone" gets busy sometimes. You can call ahead and set an appointment; works for us! read more

The guys here are honest, helpful and kind. I have been 3 times and I have never left feeling like I just got a raw deal or got tricked into something. I like to sit and work while I am waiting, and I see how they interact with lots of customers, and they seem to always treat people with respect and listen well. Nobody is perfect and it is busy so I am sure mistakes happen. Today, I overheard a mistake that a service manager forgot to do something. Been here before, was helped by Gary (I think), he was very professional and did the brake and tire job excellent. But this review is for the latest experience I have. I had an appointment and was there 10 minutes before the appointment. The woman who was at the desk did not acknowledge me (that was fine), but she went on to help the person ahead of me, walking in front of me going in and out of the store to check out the other person's car for more than 20 minutes. At that time, a customer came in and she told them that she'll be right with him as soon as he came in. then couple of minutes later, she stated to help him and just completely ignored me when I have been waiting for more than 20 minutes. If that's the kind of service they do in front of you, what do you expect they can do to your car when you are not around? read more

My Daughter had spent the day in Oak Glen, having fun picking Apples & enjoying the perfect weather. On the way home to Riverside the engine light came on!! Well she kept driving down Oak Glen Rd. Looking for a service station, there were none! Coming to Yucaipa Bl. Another warning light came on! Showing the oil was low, she made a right turn and saw the Firestone Auto care sign & pulled in, She explained to Mgr. David Stewart what was happening, he discovered the car was down 4 QTS. of oil. She had used all her funds on Apples! Only had $8.00, David had the Oil topped off & she was on the road! Thanks David for helping her and avoiding a expensive repair bill! I was driving my Ferrari and managed to hit a pothole hard enough to blowout my right front tire just outside of Yucaipa where I live. Now I'm not bragging about having a Ferrari but my issue at the time was do I pay big bucks and have it towed 40 miles to the nearest shop I know deals in exotics or simply go to my local Firestone and hope for the best. I think I made a good choice. Not only did I blow out my tire but also bent my rim. I was expecting a very costly repair (new wheel) but they managed to have the wheel fixed for a lot less than I expected. They also took extra care of my car (keeping it inside) the whole time. The gentlemen here are very kind and honest. I took my car in to have the breaks done and my AC was going out. They said my breaks did not need to be done yet but the AC did need to be replaced. They gave me an upfront honest quote, we went home did our research and they turns out their price was the best price. So I made an appointment and they replaced the AC, it works great! July 06, 2017 We received excellent service from Dan Matchett, the store Manager, today. He took the car into the shop at 7am and completed all the following by 2pm today: A/C performance check, High Mileage Oil change,Complete vehicle inspection, Battery Inspected, Checked the alignment, new oil filter installed, freon drained and refilled in the A/C, Tire air pressure checked, spark plug replacement with fuel system cleaning (chemically cleaned fuel lines, and injectors with an additive), replace the air filter, replaced one build for the rear turn signal, recorded all tire pressures on the printed customer invoice. Although they were very busy after the holiday, Dan managed to get it all done while he was running back and forth between the service area and answering the phone all day long!!! Dan, Gary, and Troy seem to keep the shop running, and they have impressed us with great customer service. We will come back the next time our cars need service. J and A from Yucaipa read more

Our car overheated on the way from LA to Coachella 2016. Got a tow to this Firestone, and they were able to check the car out pretty quickly. Gary helped us out and kept us informed. Unfortunately, it was transmission related, and we needed to have a specialist fix it. Luckily, there was a Enterprise car rental down the road and one of Gary's tech drove us over there. We were also able to leave our car at the Firestone until we could get it towed to a transmission shop back in LA. Gary and the whole team at this shop were so helpful in getting us taken care of and logistics sorted out so we could get back on the road and make it to the festival on time. Hello Firestone management, I just visited the Yucaipa, Firestone. Our front headlamps on both sides of our Mercedes SUV, went out. The quote was for just over $400.00 The fellow greeting and handling the payment center was efficient and professional. What enhanced the visit was that technician, Steven (05), came out from the work area holding a burned out bulb. He said the cost of our repairs would be $93.15 instead of $401.00. I, of course, was pleased with the substantial cost savings. As significant though, was was the display of honesty. While settling the bill I commented on how surprised and happy I was to find an honest auto repair place. Needless to say, we will take all of our car repairs to Firestone Yucaipa and recommend that anyone looking for car repair work and tires go to this location. read more

I wasn't happy with my experience. They recommended over $1,000 worth of work. Most of the parts recommended I had replaced literally ONE week before. Either they didn't even check those parts or they aren't honest. After some research on youtube I bought the part my car needed for $89 and replaced it myself in less than 20 minutes. read more

I spent some time looking around on the internet for a set if good tires for my girlfriend. I found a few good deals but nothing stood out. So when it came time to start the hunt we ended up stopping in at Firestone to price some tires. After speaking with Brandon I knew that I didn't need to go anywhere else. I didn't want the cheapest tire nor did I want the most expensive. We looked at what was available in store because we needed to get it done that day and we found a great set of tires for a reasonable price. There was no pressure to buy more stuff we didn't need and the atmosphere was pleasant. We ended up dropping off the car and they had it done in a timely fashion. I can't say enough about the courteousness and honesty of the guys at this location. They explain everything in detail and are honest. I've been to several other locations that I just felt ripped off and not everything was taken care of. Troy and Dan were amazing! Yes their prices are a little high, but they have also always looked to see if there was a special going on and even if I didn't have a coupon they gave me the price. So after calling them Saturday to confirm and being told sure we can do your breaks but the car won't be ready till the end of the day, my family and I drive down In two cars from beaumont only to be told they cannot take our car today but we can go to riverside if we like. GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER MAN! What a waste of time and gas to trust this establishment to work professionally. If you were too busy then say that. No harm no foul but instead your just wasting customers time and money for no reason. I dropped my car off @ 9 a.m., Friday, Nov the 18th to be diagnosed because a couple of service lights kept turning on. I was told by Dan, that I would be kept informed about the results. 2 hours passed, 4 hours passed then 6 hours passed and no phone call. I decided to go in and was told my car needed rotors and breaks. I agreed to have the front rotors and breaks done and was told that I would receive a phone call when my car was done. 3 hours later and no call. By this time I was pissed. 9 damn hours for rotors and breaks?! Again, I went in paid for the break job and signed to have my receipt and other paperwork e-mailed to me. It's Tuesday now and NO e-mail! Terrible customer service. Only positive note? Gary did an awesome job on my car, like always but neither I nor my daughter will be returning. read more

The price was high but it was worth the quality i received and the short amount of time the team got it done. we just wanted our oil changed and our filter changed will we brought our f150 into firestone and they did things that we wanted them to do but they pushed a button that was made our truck rear tire skied and made black marks on our driveway. we had to call a towe truck out to take our truck to the dealership to fix what firestone tires did to ur truck. we will never go back to them again they are very slow like snails and they do not do there job right read more
