    Pancakes

We came in about 10:30 in the morning on a Saturday, peak business hours for breakfast, and was sat at a table immediately. Would highly recommend coming the First & Union Kitchen! The food is absolutely AMAZING (pancakes were the best pancakes we've ever had). This was our first time here and we will 100% be coming back. Our waitress was polite, the vibes in here are cozy and homey, all around a great place!

We were looking for a place for breakfast in Snohomish and we landed at the First and Union Kitchen. We weren't sure we would be able to get in but we walked right in and were seated immediately, even though the place was packed. The blueberry pancakes were plate sized, shareable, and yummy with warm maple syrup. The bacon was thick and the coffee rich. The only downside was the under seasoned chicken fried steak, potatoes, and eggs. Definitely needed salt.

Two years ago while visiting from Boston with my dearest friend at her home before flying with her to Hawaii, she treated me to brunch at First and Union. The bounty and happiness elicited from that meal still resonates. Our bloody Mary's were richly seasoned and full of flavor (and vodka). Our omelettew were massive, served with home fries, rye bread from their bakery, and a cup of fresh fruit which naturally absorbed all the other calories. I'll be visiting her again during Christmas and hope we can return for another memorable meal.

The other half of my delicious Bronx Ruben which my bf and I will surely fight over
    Alyshia N.

Holy cowwwwww. You are doing yourself a desrvice if you don't get the Bronx Ruben. It was unlike any I've had before so it does stray a little from a classic Ruben in the best ways possible. In my opinion, most Rubens are typically over stuffed with kraut which throws off the meat ratio. They get their pastrami shipped in from the bronx. It has such amazing flavor, iit's thinly sliced, and piled high. The remoulade they use has a more herby mustardy taste versus using the classic thousand island. To be honest this sandwich isn't what I think of for a Ruben but it's so damn good I'd glady never pick up another Ruben for this sandwich instead. It's just one of those items where you want to try something different next time you go but you know you never will. Also the bread is housemate next door at the bakery and is fantastic. Our server was wonderful and very kind. We will be back!!!

Absolutely the best eggs Benedict I've eaten... and I'm picky. Eggs perfect, spinach perfect. Potatoes perfect. Seriously. Best breakfast in a long time.

The food was beautifully arranged and tasty! The space is clean and very well decorated, though very loud during busy hours. We had wonderful service from Megan, and would definitely go back. I just wish they had more vegetarian options!

I love First and Union Kitchen! From the food, the atmosphere, to the customer service it's all phenomenal. We went on a Sunday for brunch and it was of course busy. We arrived at a good time because after that the customers kept approaching the host to be only to be told there was a wait. After being seated we had a chance to view the menu before our server brought us water and took our food and drink order. We got mimosas and I got black coffee to drink as well. The mimosas were great, more champagne than OJ. Our food was amazing, cooked to perfection, and well seasoned. The biscuits and gravy were both homemade. The cheddar biscuit under the gravy was fabulous. Seems like all meals come with a side of fresh which is very refreshing. Their cinnamon raisin toast was fantastic! Every bite was worth it and we can't wait to go back here :)

I didn't try the coffee but my ice tea was great. We decided to split the Gutbuster omelette. And it's good we did because it was a huge plate of food. Truly lived up to its name. I have to admit the hashbrowns were PERFECT! Crispy on the outside, not oily, and thick and soft on the inside. The omelette filling was super tasty! One thing I will say...it looks like ALL the dishes are more than generous. When I saw the fries go by on someone else's plate, I almost regretted not ordering some because they looked so legit. But it'll just give me another reason to come back. Both waitresses we interacted with were super friendly and attentive. It's amazing how they successfully juggled guests and plates. The scones were delicious and it was finished in no time. We ordered few starters - Mussels in garlic herb, Coconut shrimp and artichoke dip Mains - Fettuccine Alfredo Pasta and sourdough bread bowl The service is quick but our server was a little pushy and not giving us time to decide. It was kind of daunting to quickly order something. The appetizers were great, loved the shrimp and mussels. The artichoke dip was just decent but the bread was a hit. We loved the sourdough bread bowl and the tangy tomato soup added great flavor. The fettuccine pasta was on the sweeter side and didn't like it much. Overall a good place to hangout and great menu to try from.

One thing you won't have to worry about coming to Hops N Drops is... parking. There is an extreme amount of parking around this shopping center and you'll be fine. Yeah, sometimes stuff is busy in the immediate place, but you never really need to park very far -- it overflows into a home depot parking lot. I usually order take out from this place, and they have a few dedicated spots right in front of their door, as well. Convenient! I've had a wide range of their burgers, fries, onion rings, tots, etc... and everything has been extremely good. One standout that SHOULD NOT be THIS GOOD is the "Black and Bleu" burger - blackening spices, bleu cheese, fried onions, and chipotle mayo (plus lettuce, onion, etc)... It is a great balance of different flavors you don't usually see, and it works. They also use clearly pretty good bleu cheese, because it's super flavorful. Other great burgers I've had are: jalapeno burger, western burger, bacon burger... all pretty standard, but the patty is always cooked nicely (juicy, not overdone, seasoned well). Their tots are super crispy. Onion rings and fries are solid (not amazing, not bad). Anyway, at the end of the day... this place gives me consistently tasty food -- really can't complain!

Right away, I thought the interior (marble tables and matching booth) was super cute! This is what we ordered: Oreo Milk Shake The Oreo milkshake was rich, creamy, and delicious with a generous amount of whip cream on top! Chicken Souvlaki (Shish Kabob) and Chicken Gyro Today I learned that souvlaki is marinated meat (typically chicken, pork, or lamb) grilled on skewers while gyros are usually a combo of beef, pork, or lamb cooked on a rotisserie and shaved off in thin slices. Honestly, they both tasted kind of the same despite the different preparation of the meat. Both dishes were not the worst but not the best. The meat could've used a little more salt but the tzatziki sauce was delicious! Chicken Melt This was probably the best savory entree! The sandwich had the perfect crunch that was followed with the creaminess of the cheese and the flavor from the grilled onion and chicken.
