Good food, good portions and great service! It's a quirky place but good vibes, the worker who had a big S Mariner hat was really chill and thoughtful. He came around filling up water and coffee, and came and got us from outside because it was cold that morning. Waitress was funny and courteous. Every bite was delicious! We had: - Eggs Benny - Monte Cristo - Eggs + Sausage breakfast We will definitely come back for more!!! Happy Eating, -Fj

Great place for breakfast! This was my first time at Jake's. I came in first thing on Sunday morning. There were already a few patrons waiting outside when I arrived. There was plenty of parking on Rainer, but that filled up pretty fast. I was seated immediately since I was among the first in. Great atmosphere. Lots of car and celebrity memorabilia primarily 1950's to 1980's. The food was excellent and the portions large. My hash browns were perfection, nice and crispy on the outside. The service was friendly and attentive. I guess my only complaint would be the prices seemed a little high, but not outrageously so, just more than I anticipated and it wouldn't prevent me from returning, which I absolutely will. 5/5 all day long.

My concoction of a veggie and sausage hash with extra spinach. GF/DF/Egg Free and absolutely delicious!

My family and I have been coming here for YEARS, and we still love it! They make the best hot chocolate and root beer floats. Their hamburgers are tasty and their omelets can't be beat. Sadly, I can no longer eat gluten or dairy or egg whites. After a few years of only eating steak or burgers on a gf bun, I was really missing my old standard of a veggie omelet with bacon. When we were in the area over Christmas, I tried something new that was almost perfect. When we went back last week, I perfected my idea that they graciously and wonderfully made to accommodate my needs. I ordered the insides of the veggie omelet with extra spinach and sausage, to be put on their hash browns. As you may or may not know, their hash browns are HUGE! It was absolutely delicious. I recommended that they put it on their permanent menu, it was that good!

Omgoodness what a fun little nostalgic place with huge personality ... walls covered in old school photos, posters set up like an old diner.. portions are huge so go hungry... staff is over the top friendly! Even the bathroom is decorated cute! Enjoy!

Cute spot, old traditional cafe spot in DT Snohomish. Not a big restaurant so kind of hard with a larger party. It was busy on a Saturday morning so felt claustrophobic a bit. Also, when they put two tables together.. they didn't take away any duplicate items like napkin dispensers etc so didn't leave us much room. I ended up getting the pancake combo meal. Wow the size of their pancakes are so impressive! Nice & fluffy too. Everything else was lacking flavor wise. Bacon was thin & filmsy.. eggs & hashbrowns were just ok and oily. Honestly this place wasn't impressive to me and other better breakfast spots in the area. It has cute decor though.. vintage vibes.

Located off the beaten path. Jake's Cafe on Second Street is a blast from the past. Serving good food, hot coffee and if you're lucky enough some classic cars. The service was great and attentive, made you feel right at home -- even if you were visiting from out of town. The eclectic theming of old classic ads for meals and movies just transports you back! If you're ever looking for a good place for breakfast and French toast look no further than Jake's Cafe.

Homey small town cafe with nice waitresses in the Betty Boop style. Route 66 decor, solid breakfast cooks. Frequent coffee refills. Love it!

We stopped in for brunch and I got my usual tarragon chicken sandwich and he got the chicken friend steak. I got water and he had asked for a Snohomish Coffee, which included alcohol, to which the waitress repeated "Snohomish Coffee", but he received a regular drip coffee. Neither of us were upset and didn't ask for a correction as it was busy and a simple oversight. When I ordered my sandwich, I asked for the pasta salad as my side and a side salad to add on. When my meal arrived, the pasta salad was replaced with the salad which, again, was fine and I didn't bring it up to the waitress - she seemed overwhelmed by the amount of people in the restaurant. When the bill came, I had noticed a $4.25 charge for the salad and asked about the amount. I told the waitress that I hadn't received my pasta salad, emphasizing that this was totally okay, I was more confused about the price. On the menu, it notes that side salad substitutions are $3.00, not $4.25. She informed me this was her first day, and as someone who worked in the industry for many years, I completely understood. She said she would ask and came back saying the price was correct but they hadn't updated prices on the menu yet. This didn't sit too well with me, but I left it as to not go back and forth. After all, the waitress doesn't control prices. However, if a price is posted, that's what should be on the ticket, whether it's been updated or not. The nail in the coffin for me was after I paid in cash, I thanked the waitress twice. She not only stopped making eye contact with me after the price incident, she said not a word either. No "thank you", no "thanks for coming in", not any acknowledgement of my existence. She put the change on the table and walked away. Again, as someone who has worked in the industry, when something (like prices) is out of my control, I still would apologize for the confusion or misunderstanding, and try to make things right or at least have the customer leave with some sort of sense of resolution. That was not attempted. I loved this place for years but unfortunately after today's interaction, I am not confident I will be back.

The scones were delicious and it was finished in no time. We ordered few starters - Mussels in garlic herb, Coconut shrimp and artichoke dip Mains - Fettuccine Alfredo Pasta and sourdough bread bowl The service is quick but our server was a little pushy and not giving us time to decide. It was kind of daunting to quickly order something. The appetizers were great, loved the shrimp and mussels. The artichoke dip was just decent but the bread was a hit. We loved the sourdough bread bowl and the tangy tomato soup added great flavor. The fettuccine pasta was on the sweeter side and didn't like it much. Overall a good place to hangout and great menu to try from.

One thing you won't have to worry about coming to Hops N Drops is... parking. There is an extreme amount of parking around this shopping center and you'll be fine. Yeah, sometimes stuff is busy in the immediate place, but you never really need to park very far -- it overflows into a home depot parking lot. I usually order take out from this place, and they have a few dedicated spots right in front of their door, as well. Convenient! I've had a wide range of their burgers, fries, onion rings, tots, etc... and everything has been extremely good. One standout that SHOULD NOT be THIS GOOD is the "Black and Bleu" burger - blackening spices, bleu cheese, fried onions, and chipotle mayo (plus lettuce, onion, etc)... It is a great balance of different flavors you don't usually see, and it works. They also use clearly pretty good bleu cheese, because it's super flavorful. Other great burgers I've had are: jalapeno burger, western burger, bacon burger... all pretty standard, but the patty is always cooked nicely (juicy, not overdone, seasoned well). Their tots are super crispy. Onion rings and fries are solid (not amazing, not bad). Anyway, at the end of the day... this place gives me consistently tasty food -- really can't complain!

Honestly, they both tasted kind of the same despite the different preparation of the meat. Both dishes were not the worst but not the best.
