Never a fun thing to need a doc when your not feeling well. I come here because it's close to home and they take walk ins. It never fails I question myself as to why I bother coming here thinking it's quicker than the ER because I'm ALWAYS stuck here at least 2 hours. You can walk in here and see 3 or 4 people and think, hey maybe I won't be here all day ....but I'm always wrong. Came in because I'm pretty sure I have strep, told the receptionists that and still I waited over an hour before getting into a room. So much for not sharing huh? Got into a room and they did a strep test and forgot I was in the room . Good thing I'm impatient and opened the door and asked how long I needed to wait. . Not the best place to come seriously. Update: I wanted to update this review, I had to make a trip back here in early January of 2020 and I do not know what changed management wise but this was a much improved visit entirely! My wait time was minimal (15 minutes), seeing the doctor was maybe 5 minutes. In and out under an hour. Thank You to whoever stepped up and made positive changes here because yesterday my husband had to visit here and had the same fast improved patient service, so I am changing my star rating as of 2020 visits by me and the hubby.

Empty waiting area, still waiting in here 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment.

The nurse doing intake, Desiree, was rude. I almost walked out. Everyone else was great.

Came here for a fractured wrist and there was a wait (10 mins) even with the receptionist saying there wasn't anyone in the waiting room.

I was greeted right away, got in at my appointment time, was seen and treated by an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, boom on my way out. The parking-is easy as it's in the Carr's Huffman parking lot, so plenty of options. I really love that it's easy too book, be seen and be treated!

I tried to reprocess with my insurance, and they denied me and informed me that this is the offices choice to set the rate. In fact they told me the office chooses to charge $900 but Premera will only go as high as $500. I have had type 1 diabetes for 50 years. I see specialists for my type 1 diabetes, my kidneys, and my eyes. I rarely pay more than my co-pay, and they are looking at labs and doing a more higher quality of care. In this particular case, besides my co-pay I am paying almost another $200. DO NOT USE THEM! They need to lower their prices, my suggestion is get a home test and save your money from this ridiculous office.

At first he seemed like a great fit but that quickly spiraled during the follow-up appts. Ever had a MD yell at you? Call you dumb? Stupid? Ignorant? Insist that he doesn't use drug seeker as a pejorative (but will continually call you a drug seeker.) Don't worry Dr. Sanchez does it all. He also has the management back him up in his foul mistreatment. This "Doctor" does not care about you! I was in shock with the manner in which he chose to speak to a patient. I have been in the health industry for over a decade and have come across many short tempered providers but have never once heard someone talking down to another person in such a way as he did. By the second appointment he was talking about the patient firing him, well he went and did it himself. I wonder why? You did them a favor! Nobody and I mean nobody deserves to be degraded in the manner in which he did. I hope this man finds happiness because he sure as hell is spreading misery onto people who don't deserve it. This patient should get an apology at the very least.

The nurse receptionist was very pleasant, took husband's details, and took him back immediately. I was invited to go with him, which I most assuredly wanted to do, and see him get a needle in the arm. She examined the puncture wound, after taking all of his vitals. She was very fast and efficient. I expected to have to wait for a doctor to come in, which is kind of standard in any doctor's office, in my experience. The doctor was there within a few minutes, and he had a good sense of humour, which I liked. He told husband to rest the foot, and keep his weight off it. ( "that ain't happening" I muttered under my breath) He also said that tetanus isn't in Alaska. I found that curious, and I googled it. So whilst it's rarer up here, in my opinion, I would venture forth that if anyone was gonna get it, my husband would be the one. He's quite an unlucky fella. Anyway, the tetanus booster shot was prescribed, and the doctor left the room. Seconds later, the nurse came back in, and administered the shot, and put a bandaid over the puncture wound. No antibiotics were prescribed at this stage, however she said they'd be in touch in two days to make sure it was healing well, and to contact them should any signs of infection become apparent. We were in and out within 20 minutes. Now yes, this is a smaller office, and I personally prefer it, due to how speedily we were seen. I had a wait of over 2 hours when going to the one where REI used to be. That one is large, with lots of receptionists, and we had to wait in the car, till we were called into the building for an examination. I prefer this small office approach.
