This is the VERY BEST nail salon in all of NM. I have had the worst and now I have the VERY BEST. I do pink and white acrylic nails & you cannot tell if they are my own or acrylic. They are thin, perfectly shaped and look EXACTLY like my own nails! I often get CAT EYE pedis which are so cool. Woohoo!!! NINA and her staff are top of the mart. The salon is cozy and inviting; I always feel like I am home again when I get my beauty treatments. There are two large screen TV's with awesome NETFLIX movies. The pedicure area has another large screen with a very relaxing underwater scene that will smooth out all those worries you have! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND First Nails. I really needed a mani/pedi. Vicky did a great job. I picked out the tangerine scented package of pedi creams and muds, etc. It smelled great. She gave me a thoroughly relaxing massage on both my feet and hands and trimmed my nails and rounded them off for me. The place was dead today. Just me a man getting his done and me. Lots of workers just sitting around waiting for customers to walk in. Lots of conversation in Vietnamese, which I do not understand. I've tried a few places and I just keep coming back here because they really are some of the greatest. I told Kyle why I wasn't consistent before because her husband was a little rough with my nails but he really is the best. He gets in there and really cleans the nails, he cleans my cuticles and does it right. I get the most compliments when he does my nails. My friends laugh at me because of this story! Long story short he is my nail guy now and if he is not available I ask for Kyle. When I get a pedicure I like to request Lyn and if she isn't available I just wait for her. Horrible service, you either end up with a nail tech that doesnt care or wants to but seems over worked. Quality of work done is not worth then money. My gel nails only lasted 3 days and I wasn't even asked how I wanted them. All they asked was cut or file and what color. My friend got acrylic s and they didnt even fit her nails. She had to ask twice for the tech to cut them and the tech just did what she wanted. Not worth the $120 for a basic manny/petty. read more

I had a mani/pedi before a trip early September. The Pedi was fine, I enjoyed the massage & foot buffing & the polish has lasted. The manicure was just okay & the polish is chipping which is understandable with only one coat. Maybe this is the norm but I've had 2 coats in the past. I was charged much more than the stated prices for what I got & was so puzzled & shocked I just paid & left. I don't speak Vietnamese & Vicky's English is limited & I had no idea who was in charge to question or complain to. I later wrote an email to the business but haven't gotten a response. The nail industry has changed since Covid and this place is no different The spa is no longer an hour with 4-5 different muds, creams, scrubs with various massages at $35-45.00 NOW it's $50.00 or more here for 30 minutes SO no longer tip because it's such a shame that no longer "spa treatment'". No more nail designs like the photos they advertise in the window to beckon you in. It's a cattle call and I feel tipping for lack of a awesome treatment for hand and feet is gone. So keep charging high will absorb the tips. I had an appointment at 9:00AM, this was when they apparently opened, however, there was already 3 other people getting services. I booked the earliest time available because I had work at 10:30. She insisted I come back, but I have a very tight schedule, so she said someone would be with me shortly. I requested a pedicure. I waited 40 minutes, before I HAD to leave. I wanted to treat my son and his girlfriend to a pedicure while they were visiting for Thanksgiving. I called ahead to make sure they could accommodate 3 pedicures at the same time. The woman on the phone said they could and we went right over. They filled 3 tubs for us and told us to sit down. One manicurist started to work on my son's feet. No one else came in until his pedicure was almost done. Then someone else came in and started his girlfriend's. When someone finally came in to work on my feet, I had been sitting there in cold water for over an hour. The pedicure itself was adequate, but not good. I gave 2 stars because my son said his mani/pedicure was pretty good. Then they charged me extra because I didn't have cash. The woman kept asking me if I wanted to go to an ATM and come back. Brought my sister out to get her nails done for Mother's Day, was able to walk in for two new sets which was really nice. Larry took care of me and did a phenomenal job on my nails. Shape is very important to me and he got it right away. Unfortunately the nail tech my sister was working with (Bic I believe) got very upset that my sister wanted a couple nails a little longer and removed all of the nails she had done. Thankfully the rest of the staff is so helpful and accommodating so she was able to get a new set that she loves. BEWARE!!! larry does a good job on designs but i can say that your nail health is not his priority. this is my third time going to him for acrylics and needing a new set, he ripped my nails off with another nail tip and proceeded to rip a entire chunk of my nail out. i asked him why he didn't just soak me off and he said that it takes too long, and told me that it was my fault that the nail ripped off because i "take hot showers." their products aren't clean ever, i can see literal buildup on products and tools. that's how you get infections people. beware beware beware!!!! never coming back. read more

LACK OF PRICING TRANSPARENCY: Let me start by saying the quality of my nail dip was good. I originally called to ask how much a dip would be and was told $43. However after the service, my final check was nearly $20 extra. I am a big fan of pricing transparency and frankly this place is not at all transparent with their pricing structure. When I questioned the final pricing I was told it was an extra $7 to remove my original dip, and 2.5% additional for paying by credit card. At the end of the day, be transparent with clients. Post prices online along with caveats on add-ons. In 15 years of getting dips, I have never had someone charge to remove the original dip and have never had someone charge extra for credit card usage (although I have had some places give discounts for using cash). On top of it, they charged my percentage of tip as the total after the dip, removal of the original dip and the extra credit card fee instead of just the cost of service. Prepare for extra fees on top of what they tell you. read more
