First sandwich is a hidden gem, with very affordable prices and good quality food with big portions!! At first arriving to the restaurant was a little confusing, I was not aware of it being inside a food court, so keep that in mind when you are visiting. It wasn't till I got a little closer that I noticed the small sign outside the building. Going into the court, it was very clean, and pretty much empty! The combo meal sign was right in front. The lady at the counter was very polite and friendly and seem happy to help! I got a turkey, avocado on sourdough bread with everything in it. I was surprised with how much avocado they gave. They did not hold back! The whole sandwich was exactly what I was looking for. Also I was happy to found out it comes with pickles too! It added a nice flavor to the sandwich, and the toasted sourdough gave a great crunch while eating. Excited to go back and try out another sandwich! This is perfect place to stop by when you are in a rush, and are trying to eat more clean!

I wanted to get the pork chop rice. It was ok , a little bland. But the price is really expensive ~$16 for a food court. And not much meat. It was more expensive than other restaurants ie. Tofu king. It was disappointing, nothing to write home about. The lady there was nice though.

the staff were warm and welcoming. the people that ran the store were two kind asian people. they recognized we were asian as well and we instantly connected because we both spoke chinese. they were incredibly generous with the beef noodle soup portion. the tables were clean and the wait time for food wasn't bad. sandwiches were savory and had a fair price to them. i definitely recommend this place if your budget for food is between $10 and $20. the food is solid.

They have great sandwiches and so many varieties to choose from. Run by a couple who are great about making sandwiches to order. Love this place!

One of my new go to weekday lunch spots! I have had this spot bookmarked for a while and finally got around to trying it. It's in a food hall with a lot of offices in the area so it does get a little lunch rush but the service is still so quick. I usually come around 12 and my food is ready in 5 minutes. I have only tried the Jah Jun noodles (which is the Taiwanese version of Korean jajangmyeon) and the beef noodle soup so far but they were both excellent options for a quick Taiwanese lunch. I will definitely be back to try some rice dishes as well as their sandwiches.

I had the dry pork noodles and they were DELICIOUS. Very authentic flavor, and delivered by Sherry with such kindness! This is the small business flavor you've been looking for. I give them 12 STARS OUT OF 5!!! Antho Mr. Hyperlocal 非常好吃。很地道的凉面,我一定回来。下次我尝一尝那个pastrami三明治。Sherry很善良,丈夫真是个大厨五星。下次再! 安肃 本地通

Bomb sandwich with huge portion and great quality~ A little hard to find since it's in a small mall joined with 3-4 other eateries. Atmosphere is a small mom and pop shop, with huge selection of sandwiches and Taiwanese dishes. BF got the philly cheese steak and I got the pastrami ($10 each with tax). The pastrami was stuffed between two rye breads with veggies, super fresh and not overly salty. Portion is huge so definately enough for two people's worth. I tried a bit of the Philly Cheese Steak and steak was well cooked and seasoned between soft French bread. Owners here are super sweet, highly recommended visiting here for a quick and affordable meal.

Hidden Gem of Irvine Fast, Fresh, and Friendly! Sandwiches and Asian home cooking served with a smile. This is a Family Owned Business, ran by the same Asian couple everyday. The woman at the front counter is always happy and sweet, and the man making the food in the back is dedicated to his craft. They offer a large menu with variety for any pallet. I get the Home Cooked Stewed Pork Plate every time, highly recommended! Indoor and Outdoor seating available. Please give them a try!

Still low priced as ever. its like $2-4 more expensive now but damm for a decade thats such low climb. $8 for a damm delicious ooey gooey sandwich? hell fucking yes? '26 oops i never posted it. Swiss connection is now a whopping $10.5. highway robbery it is. But the bread is still unmatched for pillowy cheweyness (hot will get u a crisped exterior so always go for hot). Carrot n Daikons baguette would be my second for bread but their bread is thin flakey fall apart outside with a more airy pillowy interior. most important. do not say no to the mustard and whatever the other thing they ask if is ok to put in. the LeDIP experience is a whole deal ok. it's all or nothing. just like it should be in normal restaurants ok, like the shirt shoes and pants requirement? all or nothing. if you went to a restaurant without pants, you would not experience the experience as it was intended. take it all or leave empty handed ok? unless you're actually allergic to something. but like are u living if you miss out on the perfect combo of savory and cutting sourness? i acquired an allergy to shrimp and once a year i'll still boiling crab a lb of shrimp and just premedicate on Benadryl hoping i don't die. oh it's so good. god it itches so bad. ah so succulent. whole experience! hot french connection- can i eat this first please? oh my god i don't think i ever appreciated the soft pillowy softness of the baguette in my younger years. the outside crust is the thinnest crisp and yields immediately (unlike Lee's Trashwiches where the stale crust cuts the roof of your mouth). Simple sandwich but sometimes the best things are the simple things. Cold Swiss Connection - the only reason i get it cold is cuz this is my breakfast & lunch for the next day. so no point in melting it prematurely. i honestly can't decide between the two, so i just get both. the difference is Swiss cheese here vs the brie in the french. update-its like 10.5 now cry. and get it hot! i was wrong! it ooooozes Parking - shared with the whole center, plenty. Payment - cash, credit chip 5, or venmo? No Pay unfortunately. Credit chip wouldnt read my card either, took 3 tries, and u need to manually hold it down cuz its not secured so....not really contactless. '26 theyve modernized, apple pay now accepted so yayy. Menu is modernized printed board albeit boring. Chalk menu was wayyy cooler imo.

I got there just as the order was predicted to be done, but I ended up waiting another 10 minutes, which was fine for me. It's a sparsely decorated sandwich spot, with a little bit of seating, but it's clear this is a grab-n-go type place. After picking up the sandwiches, I cut both in half and ate half of each. I can't really remember what I got, but that was kind of besides the point anyways. They offer a variety of breads, so I opted for dutch crunch and a regular french roll. The dutch crunch wasn't as good as others I've had from other notable sandwich places, but the french roll was great! I liked the construction of the sandwiches, as they were tightly wrapped and not over-stuffed. Good ratios and not too large as to not be able to wrap your mouth around it. But as for the content itself, I just wasn't blown away. It was perfectly normal, but I didn't feel anything beyond that. As a lunch place, I feel like it's a good option if you want a sandwich, but if you've got something closer to you that is marginally similar, I'd head there first.

I've heard the Peruvian Steak, Prosciutto, and Chicken are good too! My only feedback with the Happy Hippie is that there is slightly too much filling, so it falls when you are eating the sandwich. Each of their sandwiches comes with two halves and is filling and satisfying. They also use fresh, vibrant vegetables, and a store associate told me their bread is baked fresh every day! Service: The service here is half the reason I come! A lovely store associate will guide you when ordering, and they will bring the food right to you! 8/05/26 5:18 p.m. University Town Center…read more I decided to try the Peruvian Steak today without avocado. I usually order the Not So Fried Chicken, but I wanted to switch things up. I'd rate the Peruvian Steak an 8.5/10. The bread was perfectly toasted, the mustard added just the right amount of kick, and all of the flavors complemented each other well. It would have been a perfect 10/10 if one side of the bottom bun hadn't been completely soggy from the mustard spilling out of the sandwich. I ordered my sandwich to go, so if I had waited until I got home to eat it, I think the entire bottom of the sandwich would have been soggy. That was disappointing. For to-go orders, I think Mendocino Farms should automatically serve the mustard in a separate sauce container to help prevent this issue. My other qualm was with the pickup process. When I received the text that my order was ready, it read: "Your order at Mendocino Farms - 10 - UC Irvine is ready for pickup. Please proceed to the counter." Some restaurants have signs explaining whether customers should grab their to-go orders themselves or wait for a team member to assist them. I waited patiently at the counter for several minutes while a team member saw me standing there but didn't acknowledge me. After about five minutes, I finally asked, "Can I grab my order?" The process felt confusing and could have been communicated more clearly. Overall, I thought the sandwich was delicious and a great portion size. However, I think the to-go process could use some improvement. I ended up eating my sandwich in the restaurant because I could already see the bread becoming soggy when I picked it up, which wasn't part of my original plan.
