No one could make her comfortable but coming here, she is at ease. She needed to get a filling and to this day has no idea there was a shot involved! What made me to write this review is that I went to the office today to do annual check up for my 4 year old daughter and I saw twin babies at the front desk , kids of one of the office ladies, and witnessing that staff are allowed to bring in their kids into office when it's necessary is very empowering for women and kudos to Dr. Marefatia for supporting his team like that. read more

People said I was crazy but we pulled it off. I took all 3 of my kids to the dentist simultaneously and get this yall.. It was a freaking success and we were in and out in about an hour! The check in process was very fast and efficient - reflecting back everything in this office is so efficiently run. As I was signing the virtual paperwork, they slowly started bringing my kids back to take their x-rays. And then after the x-rays they were ushered over to the exam chairs where they were distracted by their choice of Disney movie (of course they chose Frozen) while a hygienist cleaned their teeth. It was a legit operation, as one kid finished up one step they would start up the next - down the line just like an assembly line. Not only were things efficient but the staff was just so kind. The hygienist who was taking x-rays of my girls was so patient with them. She carefully explained everything she was doing and gave them praises throughout to keep them calm and attentive. And they sure were speaking the kids love languages of stickers and little trinkets. As they were cleaning my kids teeth they made sure to thoroughly explain what they were doing. I'm going to brush your teeth right now - just like you do at home. I'm going to use toothpaste, it might be a bit crunchy but it's cleaning your teeth. Not only did it calm them down but it also put me at ease. Shortly after their cleaning the doctor appeared and did check ups with each child. He talked us through the entire check up and made sure to ask multiple times if we had any questions or concerns. Not once did we feel rushed through. The girls left clutching their princess stickers and toothbrushes with shiny smiles. I was impressed by the safety measures the office took. In the waiting room chairs were spaced out, temperatures were taken, new gloves and instruments each time and I even noticed the hygienists wiping down chairs as we were leaving. A few things to note: - Because of COVID protocols obviously appointments are spaced out so it may take some time to secure an appointment and of course in my case it took extra long since I booked 3 kids simultaneously - but it's worth it! - Love love the text and email reminders from the office. read more

The dentists and hygienists are awesome and they are very kind and patient with both of our toddlers. The kiddos actually cooperated today which is a huge milestone for them. We were recommended by a friend to this place. Before having the service done (just a cleaning) I had to fill out 6 pages electronically for each child (3 children) total if 18 pages, and a bunch of signatures for just a "cleaning". Additionally a couple more papers to sign once we got to the dental office. What they do is that they make you sign BEFORE the services NOT after so they make sure you agreed and they can bill your insurance right away. How convenient! The receptionists also asked for our Medi-cal insurance cards physically (so make sure you bring them) My 3 girls were there for just a "cleaning" and in 15 minutes they were done with the 3 them. I was watching the whole process. The assistants just took X-Rays and polished their teeth. When Mr. Eminence came out to "check" their teeth (the dentist) I asked him to please clean their teeth with the actual tool manually not just with the polish machine and he said they didn't need it. - I took them to another Dentist and he was even mad that they didn't clean their teeth AT ALL!!! NOTE: Cleanings for kids take AT LEAST 20 to 25 minutes per child. I had also told the receptionist not to apply fluoride (super toxic) on their teeth and the assitant didn't even know about my request. I had to tell her personally. Recap: This place is just taking advantage of families and kids, not really caring about them and just caring about billing your insurance for their own benefit. Look for a more legit place. Don't get impressed superficial reviews or by the set up of TV's on the ceiling. They distract you with appearance and charge your insurance for services that were not well done. Don't get fooled. Watch out for these types of places. They are well set up scammers. read more

Excellent service, As soon as we walked in front staff greeted us very happy and the process was very fast as well. My son needed a filling we were in and out of there within 30 minutes but they made the experience easy and non traumatic for him. Both of my children have severe anxiety and fear when it comes to the dentist. So bad that I've spent an extraordinary amount of money out of pocket because they required sedation every time they needed procedures. Coming to First Smile is game changing. My kids anxiety is much less than before, from the front office staff to the dentist - everyone is warm, welcoming and so calm. Took my child here after a recommendation from a neighbor and I was not let down. Service was impeccable from start to finish. Booking an appointment was a breeze and they follow up with a text or an email (which I find helpful because I hate talking on the phone). They see you right away once you arrive, but if there is a little wait time, the kiddo is entertained with the LEGO wall, books, toys, and/or iPad in the reception area. My kid is happy I'm happy. During the checkup they have TVs mounted to the top so your kiddo is distracted throughout the whole thing. Plus at the end they give you a "treasure" from the treasure chest. Sweet!! A friend recommended First Smile after I wanted to get a second opinion for my son, for a somewhat urgent situation. I called but they were fully booked, however they told me if a cancelation occurred they would call me back. 15 min later they called to say there was a same day opening. The office is clean, friendly and efficient. After the doctor confirmed the assessment from the first visit, I was told the procedure could not be scheduled until January as they were fully booked. But right before we left, we were told to come back in one hour and the doctor would do it then. I could not be more pleased with how it was handled, my son felt zero pain and we were out in 30 min. I could not be happier with the fantastic service, and the friendly and helpful staff (shout out to Vicky). Also, they still requiere masks so triple plus! read more
