Located right across the road from Sam's Club, First watch is nestled on the corner of a shopping center. Talk about an unexpected experience. Upon walking up to the door, they were opened by two of the employees. Talk about an entrance! Everyone welcomed me with a good morning. I was sat right away and Jess was my waitstaff. She was amazing. When they found out it was my first time in, they got very excited and it made me excited. lol The million dollar bacon is offered to first time customers and it was quite delicious. I would prefer mine a bit crispier however the flavor was amazing. I got the Markethash which was also did not disappoint. The feta cheese and mushrooms were a great combination. The potatoes had great seasoning and only feedback is to have them crispier. The crisp bites were the best. Their coffee was good too and I loved that they leave a small pot for self refills as well as a bottle of water for self refills as well. Ambiance was a simple quaint restaurant. Tables and booth mix and lists of outside light with floor to ceiling windows. Love the pay by QR code which gives several options after adding the tip. As breakfast chains go, First Watch exemplifies what they should be. Between a busy parking lot and crowded front room we had the impression things would be slow moving here, yet we were wrong both times. Parking was quick and easy to find and despite the busy interior we were seated very quickly. The first thing that stands out about First Watch is the very clean and homey setting. It feels much more polished than an IHOP or Denny's yet the price of things are just about the same. Once we were seated we ordered relatively quickly and our waitress was very attentive despite having a busy section. We ordered a few things and every single thing was good. From the Parma skillet hash, which was extremely savory and well seasoned, to the French Toast, thick and sweet with a delicate flavor; it was all fantastic. We also ordered a pancake and it was huge for a single stack and it was good too, light and fluffy; the bacon it came with was also nice, salty and crisped nicely. The only thing we could ding the food for was our chocolate milk for being very much on the milky side, and guess what? They apologized profusely for it and brought us extra chocolate syrup to fix it. The service here was great, adding to an already fantastic meal. Side note: the mint mocha iced latte they have on the seasonal menu was also great, get it while you can! Paying the check was also somehow a far better experience than every other chain. You can pay up front or you can pay by QR code, which we know a few other places offer but the software they have here feels much, much quicker. From receiving the check to paying took (maybe) a minute. And that's the thing about First Watch, everything just works. The food, the service, the small intangible things that most other places don't care for; all of it was done well and done right. We wish we had one across the street from us, but we'll settle for a short drive that we know we will happily make to eat here again. read more

I've always liked coming to First Watch. My wife and I came in for breakfast and we ordered the seasonal donuts appetizer. (They're amazing) we also ordered a breakfast hash and the biscuit and sausage gravy meal. I don't have problems with First Watch, but every time we have gone the eggs are a little undercooked. I don't know how or why but they just are. My meal also had a lot of oil so I pushed that aside. But I still enjoyed it. Regardless I'm still gonna go and get their food from time to time when I can afford it. read more

I got the same thing that i usually get from other places. Eggs Benedict "classic" or whatever you want to call it with added spinach. I enjoyed my meal and the service. I'm trying so hard to not bash them. But I've come here a handful of times, and every. single. time. something is wrong with my order. Usually, it's the fact that eggs are severely undercooked and I have to send it back to get eggs that are not basically raw. But recently, I went again with my husband for a brunch date. I ordered an egg sandwhich with some potatoes on the side. I requested no bacon on my sandwich, and the eggs over medium. When I received the order, thankfully the eggs were cooked correctly, but there was still bacon on it. So... are the cooks just ignoring instruction from diners? Or... Anyway I told the person who delivered our food and he brought it back into the kitchen. However, I'm almost certain that all they did was remove the bacon and give it back to me. I am a vegetarian, so just simply just "removing" the bacon still results in cross contamination. It's just unfortunate that literally EVERY time I come, my order is never right. I keep giving them chances, but I'm getting to my wits end here. The million dollar bacon keeps me coming back. Every. Single. Time. And this says a lot because I really don't eat bacon all that much and it isn't a food choice I'd typically go for but boy oh boy is their bacon good! I've visited this location a few times now over the past couple of years. Being that the restaurant is smaller in size, you may find yourself waiting to be seated depending on the day and time. Specifically, if you go on a Saturday or Sunday for breakfast/brunch. This seems to be when they are the busiest but I've never had to wait more than 15-20 minutes. I do sometimes feel as though the servers almost intentionally rush you to finish up because of how limited the space is (which I completely understand) but if you are looking for a place that you could meet up with friends and really enjoy time together, this wouldn't be the place for that. Gin is who we tend to get at this location. At times is can be quite and casual, while other times it's busy, loud, and fast paced, but I think that's with any restaurant. They sat us really quickly but they didn't bring out the condiment basket for us. I saw every other table outside was sat with it but us. They also took long to give us our creamer, and they gave us paper towels for napkins. The food was alright, the hollandaise sauce didn't have much flavor. At that point, there wasn't much to say or do -- the damage was already done. To make it worse, a staff member kept sweeping around and under our table multiple times while we were eating. It felt intrusive, loud, and completely unnecessary during service. Not exactly the atmosphere you expect while trying to enjoy breakfast. I have a dairy allergy so I know to order the cooked eggs and got what I ordered but they brought my food out with a big pat of butter on it. I had explained my dairy allergy and had said not to put butter on anything. When the food came out with butter on it, I told them I was allergic to dairy and asked them to take it back. They just wiped off the butter and brought it back. When I again refused it, they made me a new one. This is the second time I have been to this particular location where they haven't been careful of my allergy. I have been to other locations of First Watch where they were very careful. I was in this first watch couple of days after my birthday. I ordered a salad and was just getting ready to eat it when I got a call from my fiancé saying that he needed to be picked up from his MRI. I had also ordered him a sandwich to go cause I knew he'd be hungry afterward. The staff was so helpful to me in getting my salad put in a To Go box. And also redeeming my birthday reward, which was buy one entrée get your birthday entrée free. This is a wonderful place to go with exceptional service in personnel. We did a celebratory brunch in the middle of the week so I can't really speak for wait times but I did put myself on the waitlist as we headed there and we had a table when we're arrived 15 minutes later. The service was nice albeit a little slow and hard to get a hold of, portion sizes of the pancakes are HUGE, one pancake felt enough for one person, we got chocolate chip pancakes and the lemon meringue. French toast was okay, dry and not the most flavorful. Eggs florentine were delicious though the burnt potatoes put a damper on it. Drinks were okay especially because in the summer they're 2usd! This is a good space, much better than the one at Norcross Mall. My wife and I shared the Power Bowl, Power Wrap, and each got a kale tonic. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. Our waitress was friendly and helpful but seemed a bit rushed. We had to ask for straws for our drinks as well as extra napkins. My wife said she loved her meal and the waitress just took her plate without saying a word. Paying at the front is odd since it creates a log jam and then we got stuck with everyone waiting. The woman who checked us out was friendly but then a waiter joined her behind the register and when he was ready to come out he came out the side we were standing instead of the other way which was clear. I only decided to come here to eat real quick while waiting for HEB to have my meds ready, I had just went to the ER for an asthma attack that morning and they sent in meds as well as a new inhaler but it takes them 30min-1hr after the doctor sends in the order. So i go to the nearest First Watch to eat by myself, order one plate, nothing too serious you know? just a one person meal. Maybe spend 20 bucks max. But since they double charged me, I couldn't afford my meds when i went to the HEB after. They took the last of my money and double charged me like it was nothing. They have this option to pay on a barcode website through a third party system, I literally did that and it took the money from my bank account and said it was paid, Yet they still told me at the desk that it wasn't paid and forced me to pay twice. They said the latest i'd get the refund back is by Tuesday. It's past Tuesday now. I have yet to receive any refund and it all just seems very fishy to me, no one seems to be taking it seriously. That day that I came, I ordered one plate & came by myself, and ended up getting double charged over $45. This really ruined my day, especially since I just came from the ER and was only trying to get some food in my stomach... Oh yeah, and on top of that, when I went to the front desk about this, their way of re assuring me was telling me that this wasn't the first time this has happened. Wtf? You'd think it would be fixed by now. Very fishy. I honestly don't blame any of the servers or runners there, they were very sweet & kind.
