I'm really fond of fresh food, especially freshly squeezed juice. I came across this restaurant on Yelp and was eager to try it for brunch. When we arrived, the place looked spotless and inviting. I ordered the smoked salmon Benedict served with a side salad and a refreshing green kale juice. The bread for the Benedict was quite tough, making it hard to cut, and the hollandaise sauce lacked some flavor. Nonetheless, the juice was definitely the highlight of my meal. During our visit, I was wearing a long white skirt when an accident happened--glasses were accidentally dropped next to me, shattering and spilling red liquid onto my skirt in several spots. The server sincerely apologized, and I asked for a Tide pen to try and clean the stains. She said she would check with her manager and come back, but unfortunately, she never returned to our table. Since the spill occurred before our food arrived, they didn't offer to clean my skirt or provide a discount. I tried to wash the stain out before it set, but I was still wearing a wet skirt. We decided to come here on a Sunday morning and knew it might be crowded so we went online to make a reservation. However, upon arrival it was fairly crowded, but no line. It should be mentioned, that the noise level here is fairly high with all the patrons and children. They do have outdoor seating, including both an inside and outside breakfast bar. The first bar of measurement is the coffee. We were served a dark roast, which is somewhat comparable to what you get at Starbucks, but I'm not a fan of those creamer pods 3*. The good news is that they bring you an endless pot of coffee. We ordered the blueberry lemon cornbread in hopes that it come out first, but they forgot it. When it arrived, it was topped with a lemon custard. I'd recommend skipping the pancake and go with this choice, although it did remind me of that Jiffy cornbread with freeze dried blueberries. We chose the Athlete and the trifecta. Those choices were basically good and some yelpers draw comparisons to Denny's, but we thought it was a little better. For the money, it's worth a return visit. Service was also attentive. You can pay with a QR code on your receipt or visit the checkout station where the tip screen starts at 18%. Some additional points of interest is the fact that you will have to ask for water, I was pleased to see that they do offer real maple syrup for an additional charge, no credit card fee and there is ample parking. First Watch has a great breakfast menu, they offer so many options and everything is fresh and perfectly cooked. I love eggs, Benedict and they offer several different types. I love their breakfast potatoes and aside from the fresh ingredients they use, their coffee is also so fresh. I ordered the chimichuri steak and eggs hash, strawberry tes leches french toast, and the pineapple express. I got my food sooner than I expected. I love how spacious the restaurant is compared to other locations I've been to. The bathroom was clean as well. Pineapple express- This drink was tasty. I would definitely get it again. I was able to taste hints of everything without the pineapple taste being masked. Chimichuri steak and eggs hash- The star of the show and the twinkle in my eye. The steak was cooked perfectly . The dish was seasoned well. The potatoes melted into my mouth. All the ingredients went together perfectly! Strawberry tres leches french toast - I was eating bite after bite with bliss. Every bite was good. Suddenly I looked down and saw an object that in my French toast. It was a top from the whipped cream (I'm assuming) . It was definitely a plastic top. Super Close to Home and Very, very good. Service started off slow...honestly I dont think anyone told the waitress she had guests at her section....but finished off strong. This is my favorite First Watch location. We joined the waitlist easily and were seated quickly, even on a busy morning. The service was amazing, attentive, and super helpful walking us through the menu and answering all our questions. The food was so flavorful. My eggs benedict came with the most delicious hollandaise sauce, the waffle was perfectly crispy (just how I like it!), and the omelets were pretty big if you ask me. Who doesn't enjoy a good brunch place? It sounds like everybody's getting into the action and I'm glad that this restaurant is nearby. When I said nearby, I mean Manor. As we are growing as a community, we need additional restaurants to fit our lifestyle. This place was packed when we got here. We were literally waiting 25 minutes to get through the doors an additional 15 for a seat. It's not the fault of the restaurant, it sounds like people had in mind to go out for brunch at the same time. Even the servers thought it was unusual for the crowd that showed up. The food is really good. I like their selections and their service was spot on. I really like even in a rush-hour, the servers didn't feel rushed at all. They were cordial and moved on and did not partake in conversation, knowing how many people were jonsing to get served. Lots of floor space and parking lot was perfect. I would suggest coming during the week for brunch rather than on a Sunday. And if you come on a Sunday come early is all I need to add. read more

They've got free WiFi for all your studying and working needs, as long as you don't need to plug in. They'll even drop a whole stage of coffee to refill your own at will to keep you caffeinated through it all. As for vegan options, you need to ask for some modifications: -Market skillet without eggs or cheese -Veggie burger without a bun -Avocado toast without eggs -Oatmeal without milk Hopefully they'll consider more plant based options in the future. This place is kind of really a 3.6 star. The food here is passable/okay can't really go wrong. Better than what you find in a lower end place. The inside is decorated to have the farmhouse look. The staff were pretty nice and attentive. We came in during a very busy Sunday brunch hour and had to wait about 20 mins to be seated. Our food took even longer to arrive. Nothing from the menu really struck out to be so i just got a skillet. The food turned out to be pretty basic (something you can get in your own kitchen). If you are in the area and don't mind waiting but also need a bite, this place can't really go wrong. But I don't think I plan to return since nothing else in the menu interest me. And I ordered the Healthy Turkey omelette (egg whites with cheese and veggies) and it was super tasty, light but satisfying. We like First Watch for their high-quality ingredients and consistency of food preparation. Another unique First Watch deliverable is the seasoning on their foods. You almost never have to add salt, pepper or hot sauce. My hubby and I had breakfast at First Watch. He had the French Toast with Blueberry Sauce and I had Avocado Toast with egg whites. The Avocado Toast was delicious with only three ingredients avocado, toast and extra virgin olive oil (on the menu EVOO...I had to ask what that meant...probably the only person on the planet that did not know. My hubby looked at me when I asked the question as if I am so embarrassed that you did not know that. However, if you do not ask, you will not know. It did not phase me one bit.) So, now I know...if you did not know, now you know. Smile. The foundation of the avocado toast was a piece of hearty thick-cut whole grain toast topped with a layer of fresh smashed avocado, lightly tossed with EVOO. I opted for two cage-free egg whites on the side. You can always tell fresh eggs because they are not watery. These eggs were as fluffy as a cloud. This dish was very filling and delicious...so much food I could only eat half of my toast. The remainder of my toast was packed up to go. My hubby opted for the decadent First Watch's French toast. These two thick slices of brioche bread were lightly toasted to a golden brown. Inside the French toast had a soft, custardy consistency yet not soggy. The outside of the French toast was crispy and flavorful when drizzled with the blueberry sauce and syrup. The French toast paired nicely with the blueberry sauce and syrup...tangy and sweet simultaneously. My hubby ate both pieces of his toast. Brittany, our server, was fantastic! She frequently checked on us to ensure that we were having a great dining experience. Brittany was a top notch server! While we do not dine frequently at First Watch, we always feel at home and very welcomed. One server opened the door for us when we entered the restaurant to say good morning and welcome. We finally have a great breakfast/lunch spot in northeast Austin. First Watch elevates breakfast to the next level and we are so happy. We also don't have to travel for miles. The atmosphere is of modern farmhouse decor. Their dishes have that farm to table freshness and individually unique. They've stepped outside of traditional recipes and remade old favorites. They have all the classics you could want for breakfast time, and then they have solid brunch/lunch options as well. I will say, the service at the restaurant was pretty poor. The servers seemed flustered and weren't very observant of things tables needed. For example, I had to personally ask for silver ware for my child (they didn't give any) and I had to ask for water refills on numerous occasions. As for the wait time for the food, the waitress made a point to come tell us "sorry for the wait, the kitchen is backed up" after waiting for about 30 minutes for our food. With the atmosphere provided, you would think the food would match the quality right? Wrong I ordered the basic tri Fecta with waffles bacon and scrambled eggs with a side of potatoes(which I know might not be their specialty but the food came out lukewarm and the eggs in specific were very cold. So I would say it's still deserving of a 2/5). My orange juice was also very reminiscent of a cheap Dennys or ihop OJ. The menus don't have pictures and when I went on the online menu I saw why. Most of the menu items aren't the most appetizing-looking. For the record the waiter was great and we tipped 20$. But would I ever recommend this to a friend ? Considering the fact that it has roughly the same quality of food as Dennys for a higher price , no. The food was amazing i got the Tri-Fecta and the waffle might be one of the best waffles i've had in a while. The berry jam that comes with it is spectacular. It is a perfect mixture of sweet and tart and the eggs were cooked to perfection. My server Nikki is the best server i've ever had at a sit down restaurant.
