Latte
Amber L.

As breakfast chains go, First Watch exemplifies what they should be. Between a busy parking lot and crowded front room we had the impression things would be slow moving here, yet we were wrong both times. Parking was quick and easy to find and despite the busy interior we were seated very quickly. The first thing that stands out about First Watch is the very clean and homey setting. It feels much more polished than an IHOP or Denny's yet the price of things are just about the same. Once we were seated we ordered relatively quickly and our waitress was very attentive despite having a busy section. We ordered a few things and every single thing was good. From the Parma skillet hash, which was extremely savory and well seasoned, to the French Toast, thick and sweet with a delicate flavor; it was all fantastic. We also ordered a pancake and it was huge for a single stack and it was good too, light and fluffy; the bacon it came with was also nice, salty and crisped nicely. The only thing we could ding the food for was our chocolate milk for being very much on the milky side, and guess what? They apologized profusely for it and brought us extra chocolate syrup to fix it. The service here was great, adding to an already fantastic meal. Side note: the mint mocha iced latte they have on the seasonal menu was also great, get it while you can! Paying the check was also somehow a far better experience than every other chain. You can pay up front or you can pay by QR code, which we know a few other places offer but the software they have here feels much, much quicker. From receiving the check to paying took (maybe) a minute. And that's the thing about First Watch, everything just works. The food, the service, the small intangible things that most other places don't care for; all of it was done well and done right. We wish we had one across the street from us, but we'll settle for a short drive that we know we will happily make to eat here again.

Blte again! The food is always great. No wait to be seated on a Saturday. However the service took a while for them to take our order. There were two tables seated later than we were but got served first. Clean, almost full crowd. No military discount. :(

I've always liked coming to First Watch. My wife and I came in for breakfast and we ordered the seasonal donuts appetizer. (They're amazing) we also ordered a breakfast hash and the biscuit and sausage gravy meal. I don't have problems with First Watch, but every time we have gone the eggs are a little undercooked. I don't know how or why but they just are. My meal also had a lot of oil so I pushed that aside. But I still enjoyed it. Regardless I'm still gonna go and get their food from time to time when I can afford it.

First Watch is a favorite for breakfast, brunch or lunch. I love the veggie omelette and their frittatas. Great service in a relaxed atmosphere. They always have a seasonal special for something fresh and different!

Amazing breakfast spot. Family has been coming here for some time and we really enjoy it. You have to be careful to check the wait times to avoid a lengthy delay. Waitress was extremely helpful and all the staff was great. We enjoy the casual family friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be back

undercook egg white

i ordered over hard eggs and got undercooked egg whites. i'm pregnant and can easily get salmonella from this. ie why i got over hard eggs. i called and the manager there said sorry and that was it. i could at least get a refund but no. a "sorry and a suggestion to not eat here again" was made. truly disgusting establishment.

Elote breakfast burrito

Got a couple of the seasonal items. Really liked the elote burrito. Would recommend getting that if they keep it on the menu. Got the caramel crunch iced coffee and took one sip. Don't order that. It was so bad. Fresh toast was okay. Service was okay. Our waiter didn't really check on us

We got here just before the Sunday morning crowd came in! Which was nice. Anyway first time trying this place and it was overall pretty good. I got the same thing that i usually get from other places. Eggs Benedict "classic" or whatever you want to call it with added spinach. I enjoyed my meal and the service. Our waitress was very kind and seemed genuinely nice. The things I did not like was that the cups they gave us for water were dirty. Also they charge $4.99 for coffee. Not for the table but for each person. I had half a cup only because the pot was on the table. But yeah overall I'd probably go back but there a few other places I'd rather try.

Farmhouse hash

Delicious food! Got the Farmhouse Hash which tasted very fresh, as well as the million dollar bacon. Everything was delicious! Service was great, they were very attentive! And while the place was very busy, it still seemed to stay clean and flow smoothly. You can tell it's being ran very well.

Had a delicious breakfast with my husband the other morning. Jose's service was wonderful, including any additional support staff that helped our table. The ambiance was lovely and very pleasant. Highly recommend the egg-cellent breakfast sandwich. It was the first time I'd had it here and it did not disappoint.

Honey caramel crunch cold brew

Always glad when I travel to an area where there is a First Watch, and this Austin location did not disappoint. Great service from Jose, fun to give the new Double Crunch Breakfast Tacos and Honey Caramel Crunch Cold Brew a try. The tacos were so stuffed they were a bit hard to eat - a good problem! The cold brew was nice but waaaay to sweet, and I'd still order it again

Food was absolutely amazing. I got the Elote Breakfast Burrito as a bowl with extra potatoes and It was AMAZING. all boys got trifecta and loved it. Boyfriend tried to Strawberry tres leches french toast and LOVED IT! Even shared it with friends. Service was perfect. they are very attentive and quick with everything. Ambiance was perfect. I couldn't have been happier

The works omelette
Thea W.

The wait for 6 people wasn't long at all especially on a Sunday. Our server was fantastic! The omelette was great, the waffles were fantastic, the blueberry cornbread was delicious! We also tried the strawberry tres leches French toast was wayyy too sweet for us and had too much Carmel. The mint moca iced coffee was really good! We did notice a black mild spot on the ceiling which was quite unpleasant but overall it was great!

I have been a La Madeleine customer for 30 years, our family mainly going for special occasions, especially breakfast, and ordering a whole Sachertorte cake for birthdays had become a tradition. Yesterday (3/15/26) I was going to order one and for some reason decided to look up the ingredients and couldn't believe what I discovered. I've always considered La Madeleine a 'home cooking' kind of place. Wow, look at what's in the Sachertorte which is just chocolate cake, raspberry, and a ganache top (should be 8-10 ingredients max). When I signed up with Lifetime Fitness, I made sure to set up a tab to ensure unfettered access to both the cafe and the salon, in the case of a dietary or manicuring emergency. Thankfully this is a tab that is taken care of for me, so I've shown remarkable restraint and judgment in its use. Clearly, that concept is new territory for me. As far as food goes, my go-to meal is the turkey avocado that comes warm on ciabatta bread (sides include a small salad with balsamic dressing, and a cup of fruit). There's a wide variety of sport drinks, but I just stick to Evian. Also, when I forget to bring my water from home (which happens a lot), I can just pop in here and get what I need. Life Cafe lists relevant nutrition facts beneath all of its offerings, and I wouldn't expect anything less from a cafe located inside a gym. And while the totals on carbs and fats may seem high to me, it's usually easily integrated if I have burned enough calories during the previous workout. It's supposed to promote LifeCafe's Nutrition Philosophy: "Avoid 'dieting' (Translation: Eat, damn it); Whole, natural foods (versus fat and sugar dipped in chemicals); Proper hydration (yeah, but where's the Voss in the pretty glass bottles?); Food as fuel (so I will be strong enough to drink and hold court later); Mindful/sensible eating (as opposed to mindless, unaware consumption of crap); Body awareness (Believe me, I'm body aware...of mine AND yours); and Personal responsibility" (Well...I do take the extra couple seconds to recycle my water bottles and spoons, does that count?). Prices are reasonable, and there are several specials for $3, $4 or $5 depending on the meal. Of course there's a whole list of different smoothies or parfaits to choose from as well. BE CAREFUL, though. Not all menu items are automatically "healthy"; at an afternoon tasting, the Lifetime woman wanted to make sure I was aware that the BBQ chicken pizza wasn't low-fat by any means. Obviously, I already knew this, but you'd be amazed how many people probably don't. That's why they have clipboards with sign up sheets for nutrition classes available at these things. In addition to made-to-order food, there is a whole wall of energy bars, protein powders, and even gluten-free snacks. I'm not sure how prices compare to a store like GNC, but I'll occasionally grab something if I forgot to pack my own Kashi bar. The aroma of warm bread is pervasive in the lobby, and is perfect for enticing people to stop in. I suspect they do it on purpose, because even when no one is in there, I smell that delicious bread. I swear they are probably required to press a piece of bread every hour just to keep the aroma around; maybe I should ask my friend who works there the next time I see her. The moral of the story? If you're a member of Lifetime Fitness and haven't tried LifeCafe, give it a whirl. I'm sure you'll find something you'll like. Just don't check in enough to take away my Dukedom. 4 Stars.

You feel taken care of from the moment you sit down. Now, about sitting down: this place is popular. Like, really popular. If you're hoping for an intimate conversation about your feelings, you might want to snag a table outside. Inside, it's lively enough that you'll be reading lips more than listening. But hey, the outdoor seating is lovely, so problem solved! Here's where things get a little greasy--literally. First Watch proudly markets itself as a champion of fresh, whole ingredients and quality cooking. I've been a fan for exactly that reason. But on my most recent visit, something was... off. The food had this noticeably greasier quality, and I'm pretty confident they switched to a cheaper cooking oil (canola or similar vegetable oil, if I had to guess). For context: certain oils don't agree with me--they trigger migraines and general unwellness. And sure enough, within hours, I was both nauseous and nursing a headache. Not exactly the "fresh start" First Watch promises. Everything else was solid, but I can't give five stars when a restaurant's practice doesn't match its principles. If you're sensitive to oils or generally avoid the cheaper varieties, proceed with caution or ask about their current cooking oil before ordering anything fried or sautéed. Still love the concept--just hoping they get back to their roots (and better oils).

I sat on the counter, and had great service! Got my coffee right away. (*strange, they don't put a spoon in the main set up. Had to ask for one...and was a large spoon...for coffee). Decided to try one of their NEW breakfast items (*and asked server, and she said it was good), was the Chimichurri Steak and Eggs hash! OMG...soo good! Comes with steak, eggs (*how you like it...I did scrambled), peppers, onions, spinach, feta, garlic aioli and chimichurri sauce! Soo much great flavors!
