Good food and good service. The chilaquiles were very tasty and a large portion. The blueberry muffin was good, but I wish it would have been warmed. I do wish first watch offered espresso drinks, but not a big deal. Our server was friendly and very quick. It's a great spot for a quick breakfast.

Great first time experience at this breakfast and lunch place! We don't have a first watch where I live, so I was excited to try a chain that some of my friends in Austin rave about. They have a huge one after traditional breakfast items and breakfast items with a twist, as well as a robust lunch menu. Coffee is served diner style right when you get seated. I loved the traditional diner meets modern twist! They have a bunch of seasonal items, and I opted to try the seasonal breakfast sandwich, which had a croissant, meatball, bacon, egg, and jam. It was both sweet and savory, and the perfect treat that you could still haul breakfast. I would love to try more items on the menu one day.

A coworker and I had recently had a conversation about breakfast. He mentioned he liked this place. Looked at the menu a few times over the years; didn't look like my thing. I mean, I consider Jim's and Dan's Hamburgers to be my go to spots. GF had surgery on 38th street and after she was released I went north to try First Watch. Attentive service was provided; multiple glasses of iced tea were served at one time to keep me happy during the meal. Digs are simple; not too much going on in the space. I've never been a "hash" person. Even though the "bowl" is the new hash I've always had my food divided on the plate. Well, the Market Hash sounded good because goat cheese. Don't think I've ever had zucchini in a breakfast dish. Even ordered the taters dressed with "million dollar bacon" and some kind of extra sauce. Taters weren't that great even with the extra money spent. Bacon was you guessed it overcooked. Perhaps once in eating the dish I detected the most miniscule amount of goat cheese. I will offer this advice though; start in the middle and work your way outward. Most of the ingredients were under the eggs and didn't get many veggies until I went to the center. GF asked for me to note the generous amount of butter on the toast. Dining out is getting expensive so expect to spend around $50 on breakfast for two. FW was good; fancier than my usual greasy spoons but I think in reality I'd choose my old favorites. Or, Migas at a local Tex-Mex spot for a spicier kick.

hit up First Watch for breakfast. Food was pretty solid. Service was a bit slow but friendly. Chill spot with a nice vibe. Prices felt okay for what you get. Good place to start the day. Wrap dish I got was good. Fruit was fresh and varied. Parking easy. Menu items were plenty. Seating was clean.

We liked the Cedar Park location so much that we thought we would give this place a try as well. However, this location is like dining inside of an office or storage space, not a restaurant. Everything on the menu is very reasonably priced, although the juices and beverages had no pricing on the menu. We started with their bacon cheddar cornbread and two fresh juices. The cornbread was good, but it was a little on the sweet side. Our two juices were the best part of the meal. I was somewhat disappointed with my trifecta because the pancake was not cooked all the way through (I should've got the waffle) and both the egg and bacon were just slightly warmer than room temp. I did like the fact that they do bring you a bottle of warm maple syrup. The wife liked her avocado toast with the multigrain bread and fresh avocado, but she remarked that something seemed missing. Nothing to make it pop like a side of salsa. Service was attentive, and the prices were in line with the quality of the food. However, for us, it was a good, acceptable breakfast, just not great, so 31/2* for our overall experience. Informative photos included.

I had a very good brunch at a First Watch in North Texas, so I was interested to try Austin's location. This time, I went for lunch options, although breakfast was still available after noon. There were all sorts of sandwiches on offer, then I noticed the salads. Salads?! Oh yeah, those things that have veggies and are good for you! I can go for that occasionally. My Sweet Pecan Chicken turned out to be the best of all worlds. It has a nice pile of tasty greens and avocado with a yummy warm dressing, but also nice chunks of chicken and bacon, served with a hunk of buttered ciabatta. My friend ordered a traditional Benedict, but specified soft-scrambled eggs, and said the kitchen got it just right. I love that they just leave carafes of coffee and water on the table so you can pour as needed. Our server was friendly and personable, and said, "Oooh, I LOVE that one!" about the salad I ordered. The only slight disappointment was the Million Dollar Bacon. It was tasty, but at $5.99 for four small, fairly thin, and rather flaccid slices, I wouldn't even call it a worthwhile "Six Dollar Bacon." To charge that much and give it a name like that, it should be fabulous--and this simply wasn't.

The food is always good, and the line is always long...so be patient. You can use the app the get in line, but I don't think it really saves any time because you still have to physically check in when you arrive and so it's the same timing as if just showing up and putting your name on the list. We waited about 35 minutes for a party of 6. Of course it was a Sunday around 11 am, prime brunch time, so it was expected.

The food here was really great. The staff were even better yet! They greeted us with a smile, served us with a wonderful attitude and brought the food with a cheery smile as well. From beginning to end our experience was pleasurable. The environment was also to our liking. Although they were busy, it wasn't noisy to where we couldn't hear ourselves speaking to one another. So we highly recommend this location for a super breakfast. The cost is a little pricey, but if you want an excellent experience and great flavor, it's worth it. I also love that the items on the menu have the calorie count on them.

First time going to First Watch for brunch and can understand why people love this place so much! We had a bit of difficulty with the waitlists but were able to be seated before the estimated wait time. Large menus with seasonal items. I ordered a benedict. Didn't come with the arugula or avocado but the waiter was very nice to bring out the avocado, they had run out of arugula. My friends ordered the hash- delicious, and lemon poppy pancakes- also delicious. Would recommend arriving early or being ok with a 1-1.5h wait.

Ordered the farmhouse hash from here twice in the same week! So that should let you know how much me and my boyfriend enjoy it. The morning meditation and kale tonic juice are also delicious and refreshing. The only reason I have 4 stars instead of 5 is because the portions are a bit small for the price compared to other brunch/breakfast places in Austin. They also didn't pay attention to the special note on the order and didn't provide silverware even though we requested it. read more

Not only does the restaurant have great decor but the food is delicious! Everyone was so friendly the moment you walk-in you're greeted with a smile and great attitudes. The food was just some of those plates that you can't stop thinking about and crave. I'm a crispy bacon lover and they cooked it to perfection! Fresh squeezed juice so crisp and thirst quenching, lots of food options from a healthier choice to a comfort plate and everything in between. Not a single bit left on anyones plates and we were sad we didn't have room for more. They even have First Watch cookbooks with easy to follow recipes and pictures, of course. A perfect gift or memento if you're visiting. The GM Steven and our amazing server made our first visit, definitely not our last, perfect. read more

Came here by myself for brunch on a weekday after a doctors appointment. I was seated right away. I ordered the smoked salmon benedict. The food came out pretty quickly and was pretty good. It was a solid benedict. Nothing super special or life changing. The price was alright. I dont have any complaints about it or the staff. The waitress was polite and good about coming by every so often. But given how theres nothing especially special about it, not sure I would come back again, given that there are so many other places in Austin for brunch. read more

New location - tried the one in Orlando and have to say I'm hooked. There are many good food places in Austin, but First Watch stands out with a bright gold Star. Coffee that starts your meal is awesome. They bring a lot to the table and a carafe of water - welcome additions to the table. The specials are seasonal and based upon what's in season- right now the AM bowl with the chia pudding is just so delicious I don't want to rave too much about it because people will swoop in and eat it all up. Healthy and tasty - definitely feel good food. They have multigrain pancakes - the banana crunch ones super tasty. Everything is super fast and super fresh. Servers are abundant and really top notch too - ask for Angie and she will definitely make your meal the best. read more

Decent. Decent food - salmon benedict wasn't the best, but hit the spot in terms of what I wanted. Tacos were a good size and weren't the best either, but still good. The coffee stays filled (IHOP style). Potatoes were okay as well. The line was a deterrent for me because it didn't seem all that necessary for the location of this place as well as the quality. The thing that gave it its extra star was the pancakes. I'm a fan of multi-grain and they do theirs very well. I might come again on an off-day where I don't have to wait in line. TIP: Get on the waitlist before you leave your house! read more

Finally checked this place out after passing it by for months. Can't believe I've been missing out on this amazing breakfast and brunch heaven! Been meaning to try this place for quite some time now and I finally was able to come. Since I'm not a fan of eating eggs, I look to try other menu items. The item that caught my attention the most was the A.M. Superfoods Bowl. It has coconut milk chia seed pudding, granola, fruit, and blackberry preservatives. It also comes with a side of almond butter on toast. All in all, I had a decent experience. The chia seed pudding is what actually brought it down for me. The flavor was very bland, almost like I was eating whip cream. However, the price was really good and food came out fast, so I would consider coming again to try something new. read more

I cannot say I'll be back. 49 minutes to get our food. New tables around us had eaten and paid before our food ever came. Soda machine was off for Childs sprite, iced coffee and pot of coffee were horrible. They had offered to comp the drinks which was good as we couldn't stomach them. Cinnamon pancake was good, 1/2 kids waffle good, didn't eat the side of kids fruit. Omelet was fine, but the potatoes were chock full of salt and hard to eat. Toast really good, though pre-buttered. Was 30 min late getting home to meet family. Manager comped all without asking, which was nice, but truly needed. Had higher hopes for the restaurant, chose it over Kerbey Lane based solely on wait time, but Kerbey would have been faster. Waitress was really nice, but she forgot to put in the order (which I suspected). Tipped her, but overall not a great experience. read more

First watch is a exciting take on "farm house". From delicious mimosas to fresh brewed coffee, they have it all. The staff was extremely friendly and very welcoming. My wife and I were first timers and they did not hesitate to walk us through. Their menu has a high selection of home classics that all look extremely promising. I had a skillet (one of 4 variations) and I was not let down. Filled with potato's, onions, sun-dried tomato's and cheese, topped with an egg (over-easy for me). It was accompanied by fruit, a slice of multigrain toast with butter (homemade Im assuming) and a delicious jam. Over all the experience was great, enough so for me to leave my first review. I will definitely be going back when I'm in town. First watch, but not the last. read more

My favorite thing to do is brunch. I just move to Austin from Chicago and First Watch was on my list of must Go To! My mother and I got to First Watch at around 11Am on a Thursday. We had a whole day of errands to run for my apartment so we decided we needed a good meal. The place is beautiful and the wait staff is super nice. They made sure we always had coffee and water. I literally wanted to try the WHOLE menu! No joke. My mom got their special which was some sort of Carnitas bowl with Black Beans, Cojita, Avocado, and Etc. I was set on about...5 items :) But I got the Avocado Toast and a side of Cheesy Grits. The Avocado Toast was AMAZING! The bread was great and fresh, the Avocado was delicious. I added fresh Lemon and of course Hot Sauce! The egg was PERFECTLY runny! Look at my picture! And the grits were great. I never EVER eat my whole meal. I ate everything and felt light and not sluggish. I will definitely be back First Watch! read more

I come in here daily for breakfast. Today was a little different as I ordered 2 orders of bacon to go. She wanted to wait to put it on the grill until I explained it was for my dog, Tex. My dachshund of 17 1/2 years is ready to cross the Rainbow Bridge. To spoil him, I decided to treat him to some bacon on the day before our final appointment. When the server, Stevie, heard who it was for she quickly disappeared. I noticed the bacon wasn't on the ticket. She said simply, "This one is on us". Folks, let's pay them back for their kindness and generosity when our household is feeling so blue. read more

What a wonderful place for a healthy breakfast. First time here, been eye balling this place for some time now. The atmosphere is great, lots of wood art and decor. People are very pleasant and attentive. The food is plentiful and fresh. The Works omelet was really good with thick layer of eggs. Their seasoned potatoes are nicely seasoned and not overly crisp. Granola yogurt bowl was really good especially with fresh crisp fruits. The pancake is large and not dried. Bacon strips are nicely thick and crunchy. This is a good place for individuals, couples, or friends to meetup. But, can be pretty pricey for families. read more

Came here on a Sunday around 9:45 and the front of house was chaotic. Just a crowd of customers congregating in the front area and nobody seemed to be in charge. When we were seated we waited 10 minutes before our waitress came by to ask about our drinks. I ordered the healthy turkey which was a delicious omelet but overpriced for the small amount of food. The staff we interacted with were quite friendly but I don't consider this place a good value. read more

This location is now not one of our favorites we went there yesterday they sat us at a tiny table meant for 1 person when we had 2 people , anyways my dad ordered the seasonal truffle mushroom hash it was not very not good corporate should consider not bringing that entree back in fact it gave him a severe case of diahreah i ordered the Bacado Omelete which was very good anyway there are better Locations of First Watch and this was not one of the good ones read more

I went here for the first time with a couple of people for brunch. We did have to wait for awhile for our table but the wait was definitely worth it. I had the traditional breakfast with fruit instead of toast. I also got a side of grits. The food was very fresh and delicious. I tried one of the juices (morning meditation) as well. It was so good! First time here and basically it's a decent breakfast/brunch spot. Nothing outstandingly positive or negative about it. I ordered the classic eggs Benedict with fruit and my husband ordered the Belgian waffle with sausage and potatoes. Since there was not much worth mentioning, I've created a simple pro/con list for this spot Pro: 1. Easy to get a seat (no wait at 10am on a Saturday) 2. Calm, relaxing atmosphere 3. Sausage was good Con: 1. All the food was cooked well, but lacked flavor. Particularly the Benedict and potatoes lacked seasoning. 2. Coffee was disappointing and tasted watered down. read more

I was so excited about my visit to First Watch, but it was quickly sullied by their lackluster customer service. Upon arrival, I was promptly greeted and seated. Their hospitality began and ended there. I waited for more than 10 minutes for someone to come over to say hello, and at least offer me a glass of water, but it never happened, even after making prolonged eye contact with one of the servers. I decided to take my business elsewhere. Such a shame, I had high hopes, but it is safe to say that I will not return. read more

Amazing place first of all!! Bright and very lively for any day breakfast - brunch - lunch. Pretty interiors and really tasty food. I just loved the place and the quantity is good too. Tried this place because I could remotely reserve a spot in line. When we arrived the hostess said we would be the next table of 6 they seat. 30 minutes and two tables of 6 seated in front of us later, we were finally seated. Good menu choices, with some interesting dishes. I had the Chickichanga. It was pretty average. I asked for no sour cream, but it came with some. Fortunately it was only a spoonful. I would say the food was "chain quality". That was the general consensus of our group. Couple of weird things. Waitress verified we had toast before she would give us some jelly. Also, they wouldn't give one of our party some extra tortillas on the side with his tacos. There are a lot of brunch options in Austin, and for me this is on the bottom tier. read more

I had an amazing experience at First Watch, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Gerizim she was absolutely incredible. From the moment we sat down, she made us feel welcome and taken care of. Super friendly. The food was also top-notch. Everything came out fresh and full of flavor exactly what you'd want to start your day. And it did not disappoint. You can tell they use quality ingredients. Overall, the food was delicious, the place was clean and cozy, and the service especially from Gerizim was beyond excellent.
