READ: WE LOVE LOVE LOVE FIRST WATCH. Food is wonderful. We have visited first watch all around the country. So why 1 star? WARNING : Do not continue if you are easily grossed out! -- This was truly disgusting. We had a terrible expereince here: This was our first (and last) visit to this particular first watch. While we were inside first watch a customer being seated by the staff projectile vomitted all over their floors and guests splashing us and other customers and surrounding area. This was not just a small amount of vomit. This was disgusting only-in-the-movies- volume and style of vomit, like a bucket load. Horrendous-- And all over the customers.. Their clothes ruined... their feet and legs coated in vomit. Yes. Disgusting. and Tables within 1 foot away of this happening. Although this was not neccisarily the restaurants fault that the patron got sick, they could have at least comped the affected customers that could not or would not finish their meals. They neglected to even ASK if they were okay. After this, The Manager did NOTHING to accomidate ANY Of these customers INCLUDING a woman who was thrown up on directly by this sick customer. Did not offer paper towels, or cleaning supplies-- NOTHING!! We had to RUN and i mean RUN to the bathroom to clean off. In addition, to our horror, the management DID NOT SHUT DOWN the restaurant to clean and sanitize. After several minutes, we witnessed the floor slopilly being mopped up, however not IN A CLEANLY MANNER- ESSENTIALLY JUST SPREADING THE VOMIT EVERYWHERE. The restaurant should have been completely shut down, completely sanitized, sterilized, dried and then repeated a second time before re opening. We are considering calling the health department on this one. Never will go back to this location again. We have written to corporate and are waiting response. read more

This is a great place to get breakfast my only complaint is that the muffin under my eggs Benedict was not toasted. This lead my muffin to be soggy and mushy removing all the texture from the dish. Besides that the food was delicious. read more

I've never been disappointed in food or service here. The menu is huge- so many breakfast and lunch items to choose from. Love their greek omelette- with fresh veggies and feta cheese. Their muffins of the day are always fresh and flavorful (love their lemon poppyseed!!). They always have seasonal specials du jour posted on their chalkboard- i.e. pumpkin pancakes in Oct/Nov. Their homefried potatoes are the best! Blueberry pancakes- fruit crepes served with yogurt- did I say FRESH?? Such a great breakfast/lunch spot. read more

I've been coming here for a few years and always accepted the fact that it's always packed! This time I used the online waitlist to beat the line and and the 20-30 minute wait turned out to be over an hour. I checked in with the hostess when I arrived and once the hour passed I was told I was never on the waiting list. People were arriving and being sat down as walk-in parties of over 5 before my party of two was. We were being completely ignored. Overall, it was just a mess and nobody knew what they were doing. Finally we went up to ask about the wait again and after another 15minutes we were sat down. The food is average. You can get the same quality at any other place in Boca Raton. The one thing I would definitely not recommend is the coffee! Whether it was regular coffee or cold brew, it tastes like dirty water. Not worth it! read more

This place is always packed, but we only waited for about 5min. There were so many healthy options on the menu! I had the turkey bacon and it was delicious! We come here because we are looking for pancakes. My oldest childhood friend, her young son and I, visiting my old home for a weekend, have found this place on Yelp and it has the two things we require: pancakes and good reviews. As we drive up the place looks like a medical center, with its big windows, asymmetrical roof, a too-cheery logo that makes me think I must be going to get an MRI and not to eat omelets, and a name that screams Medical Center or perhaps Movie Title but definitely does not bring to mind Restaurant. Never mind. We are here. We are hungry. We got a baby in tow. From there things go uphill, for a while, until they go downhill. We wait outside, on lovely chairs baking in the South Florida sun, except for the one in the shade, which is nice. I make my friend free complimentary coffee just the way she likes it, and I make one for myself. Not too long afterwards our name gets called and we get seated, in a booth, which is a good thing because I love comfort. The place is cheery and bright, like the inside of a medical center turned into a restaurant, and this is not a bad thing at this point, believe me. The menu is one of those prototypical American style menus designed to make you salivate as you read about unusual but decadent flavor combinations with names evocative of places, like the Southwest Ranger's Egg Frittata Bake (a fake name I made up) or the Carrot Cake Pancakes (on this menu). There's highlighting denoting the recommended options. (Does this mean the other non-highlighted items are not up to par, I always wonder?). It's great. Then we order. We order a mushroom and cheese omelet and two pancakes. And this is when things get dicey, because the ham is diced and because things go wrong.We get a ham and bacon omelet instead, a strange mistake. I ask the waitress: waitress, why is this omelet filled with ham and bacon? We ordered mushroom and cheese. (I don't ask why this omelet is merely a tiny crepe-like layer of egg, though I think it, but never mind). She apologizes. She says they will make up a new one. And she brings it. And this is when everything goes wrong. There is bacon in my mushroom omelet, still. Because, you see, the original omelet was just destuffed and restuffed, but bacon sticks to egg, so there is evidence that this is just my old omelet, refurbished. Alas, we complain, nicely. We do get our money back on the omelet. And I eat the omelet with the bacon pieces ripped out because I am hungry. Also, the pancakes are tasty. Especially the chocolate chip. I would go back, but I would not order the omelet. Or maybe I would, if I was especially hungry. Or perhaps I would not. I'd like to add that later that same day we went to an urgent care center for my friend's eye infection and it looked like a very nice restaurant. Perhaps in Boca medical centers looks like restaurants and restaurants look like medical centers. Anyways, this place gets a solid three stars. Without the bacon snafu would have gotten three and a half based on a New York criteria, four on a South Florida criteria. read more

I got the banana granola crunch pancakes. They were HUGE...and not good. Sad moment for me as my buddy Tim swears by the place. It was rough. The worst part was that between me and Courtney spent $30 for the both of us...that's just too damn much for what we got. The best part was that it was a great hangout for our friends...which is why Tim probably raved about it. He knew we could sit there and talk loud and laugh. After driving by here over and over again I've never known what it was until hearing about first watch from a few different people. I am pretty health conscious and like to eat foods that are filled with protein and good carbs. We decided to give first watch a try today for lunch and I was so pleased we did. The menu was filled with healthy choices such as chicken quinoa bowls, eggs, sandwiches and salads. I had the pesto chicken quinoa bowl which was so delicious and filled with lots of protein. I also had the day glow juice which consisted of carrott, orange, lemon, and ginger. I Was vert satisfied with goth. I was surprised there was still a wait when we got there at 130 but I guess it's a popular spot. The food came out very fast and the service was great. The only downfall was it looked pretty messy I am assuming because it was a busy day but they could at least sweep under the tables in between sitting customers. read more

Got the market hash and it was scrumptious. The crimini mushrooms really gave it an awesome and bold flavor. Overall, I thought it was a well composed dish with a balanced accompaniment of fresh fruit and buttered english muffin. Friend of mine ordered the kale juice and it was YUMMY. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because service was slow as the waiter did not check on our table often, and because I felt the juice we received were slightly watered down. I have been coming to this restaurant since they opened. Always enjoyed a great breakfast until recent. I was rushed to choose my breakfast and continually made to feel like I was being pushed out the door so they can turn the table over. The restaurant is very busy and I as a business man and entrepreneur understand they need to maintain volume and seat waiting customers; however my waitress (G) was over the top. I couldn't even have my usual 2nd cup of coffee the bill was on the table. I really like this spot, but come early - they get slammed on weekend mornings. The food is a couple of notches above standard diner food like Denny's. Nothing really stands out with the exception of their giant custom pancakes. Get the wheat germ or the carrot cake - one of each is enough! I have heard a lot of good things about this place but left disappointed. Fresh is a key word here but I ordered the daily breakfast special of corned beef hash and was serve canned corned beef hash. Also my English muffin was served barely warm and not toasted at all. The fresh fruit was okay except for my honeydew melon which was half rind. The eggs were at least done properly and the coffee was good.The prices were reasonable but I get consistenly better food for less money at several other places. I will give high marks to the service, however. It was fast and friendly. I am usually willing to give a place a second try if I think my experience may not be the norm and if so and it get better I will definitely amend this review. read more

Always liked this place. Good value and nice, fresh food. Love their serious take on allergies, too. Turned off though when paying for takeout and the cashier asks if I'd like to add a tip. First of all, I'm all for tipping for great service. But it's not generally 'expected' on takeout. The process should be to print out the receipt as normal and have the patron either add tip with total or put dash for no tip; not to ask the patron, have the awkward moment, and then key in the tip to print the receipt. Clean, cheap and fresh. On weekends get there before 9:30am or you will have to wait. Coffee is better than many breakfast places around and you can sip on it while you wait to be seated (available on a cart at the waiting area). Service is fast and dependable. I never had their lunch but everything I have ever tried from their breakfast menu has always been on point. Overall a consistent experience with reliable quality. read more
