Our meals today consisted of two ginourmus extremely fluffy and light pancakes with a big mountain of lemon ricotta and a cage free egg. The other was a pick two of Cobb salad with honey Dijon dressing and an oversized half BLTE sandwich consisting of several slabs of crispy bacon, fresh sliced tomatoes, a cage free egg, and mixed greens between two slices of sourdough bread. The ambiance was typical of other First Watch restaurants. Sparce but clean. Four of us went for breakfast. They made a reasonable omelet, but that meal showed up 5 minutes after the other 3 breakfasts. The eggs in the other 3 breakfasts were way overcooked but arrived cold. When we told the manager about the issue, he apologized and walked away. They must be used to that issue. The food was not up to the level that is set by other locations. read more

I'm only giving one star for today's visit because I had a bad experience. My family and I have been going to this location for several years. Food has always been great. But today... I've decided to have brunch with my dog. I've never taken my dog out before for dining. I've seen other people taken their dogs to this location before and of course, we sat outside. 1 - My dog and I sat at a smaller table, in a corner. I saw that my dog was stressing out by sitting on the ground. So, I sat her on a chair. (My dog is a small dog, 16 years old and she was tired - mind you). The host came out and stated that my dog can't sit on the chair. It's only for people. Then.. I was thinking , don't you all clean the chairs anyways?!? The chairs were mesh materials and very durable for outdoor sittings. Another thing as well... this was in the late afternoon - probably 45 minutes to closing at 2:30 and HARDLY any customers were there. 2 - I requested a very small portion of eggs with one or two pieces of bacons for my dog. (I did tell my server the food was for my dog). I received a whole portion of eggs and whole portion of bacons. The server didn't mentioned anything prior to serving the food, that it'll be a full order and full price.. I specifically asked for a small portion because I knew my dog would NOT finish everything. 3 - My dog's food was served on a regular plate, which I didn't think anything about it. Another server came out and raised her voice at me, stating that my dog can't eat off a regular plate. My regular server didn't say anything to me regarding to the plate. She knew very well that the food was for my dog. I wanted to make sure my dog gets to eat first. Then the other server brought out a container and she told me that the regular plate would need to be thrown out. This whole ordeal was NOT my fault. 4 - My server kept looking at me like I've done something wrong. I'm sure by you working / serving outside, you have dealt with other customers before with their dogs. Why would my situation be different?!? Throughout this whole ordeal, I felt very uncomfortable and I couldn't even enjoy my meal, nor I could finish it. I chose this particular place / location because I've seen other dogs here before. Mind you... other customers outside were pleased to see my dog and they didn't have any issues. When I finally went to pay for the bill.. my server was at the register. She literally almost snatched the check out of my hand. Honestly... she didn't bother asking how my meal was. Then the host (the same guy who told me my dog can't sit on the chair), decided to take my check, so I can pay for the bill. (Which was kind of strange). I didn't want to look at his face. I was just so disgusted with my experience today. I just wanted a calm and relaxing brunch with my dog and to give her an experience. I felt my dog and I were targeted and discriminated against. I loved this spot! The food was delicious. The service was great. The have great coffee which I'm always a stickler for. They plate everything nicely. We had the eggs Benedict (classic) which was perfect- not drowning in Hollandaise sauce. The breakfast I chose was the Tri-fecta. It came with two eggs, bacon and 1 slice of delicious French toast. I had other options to choose from for this breakfast but this was exactly what I wanted. Note- I downloaded their app to save my spot RSVP in line and got there at the suggested time. Excellent breakfast spot with great service and a nice varied menu with classic items as well as some unique items that are worth a try. This was my go-to spot when I was in Florida. I love the chia seed pudding, also called the A.M. superfoods bowl; it's nicely balanced with it being not too sweet and definitely something to keep coming back to. The breakfast tacos are also excellent; tortillas hold up nicely and there's a good proportion of chorizo and egg filling. The lemon ricotta pancakes are fluffy and a generous portion. The roast beef and havarti sandwich is a good pick for lunch; very filling and presented nicely. This will always be a staple breakfast place when I'm in the area. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for the longest! They are open for dine in now, it was very crowded for a Sunday brunch, all the staff was wearing masks and gloves, tables were being cleaned up right after people left them, most guests were also wearing masks but you could tell they were totally fine with guests not wearing masks... I did personally not like that very much. Anyway, food wise I was very pleased!!! The avocado toast is probably one of the best avocado toasts I've ever tried!! Absolutely delicious, can't wait to get it again!! I also ordered the cheesy grits but they lacked salt... their juice of the day watermelon and pineapple... very good and super refreshing!! Came here for my best friend's birthday breakfast and we sat outside. It's dog friendly as we brought her pup along. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. I didn't give it 5 stars because we actually wanted to order more drinks after we closed out the bill and our waitress never returned after giving us the check. We got the pomegranate drink with tequila and that was very nice and refreshing for a hot day. Decided on getting the biscuits with turkey sausage, home fries and scrambled eggs which was amazing. The biscuits were fluffy and crispy but not dry. The gravy had a peppery taste but it was great I could've cleaned out the plate and almost did. Ate here for breakfast today. Used the Yelp Waitlist feature and it worked perfectly to avoid a long wait. This place gets busy! The complimentary coffee as you wait is a nice touch. Unfortunately the WiFi never worked at all--why cant they get this working? This location has a nice fresh layout with a huge glass window all along the length of the place. It's a nice open feeling and the tables outside are really nice as well. Our server was friendly and provided the jug of water and soda quickly. We ordered the Ancient Grains protein bowl and the Trifecta breakfast dish. The Ancient Grains bowl was very fresh and tasty with avocado, chicken, kale, and eggs. Upon entering we were greeted and seated promptly. The decor is bright and welcoming and comfortable, exactly what you would want to start off your day. Can you believe it's 2017 and I had never been to a First Watch ever?!? I have one not even 5 minutes away from my house, one in front of the mall, one very close to work... still, had never set foot in one. Well, the new year decided it was time I did and on New Year's day my family decided to do brunch here. Apparently, a lot of people did too. We had to wait about 40 minutes for a table (we were a party of 7) but it was worth it. When they finally called our name, they gave us a comfortable table, with room for everyone. Didn't have to wait for coffee, our server greeted us with id on hand. They place one or two pots of it (depending on how many people are per table) and refill it whenever is needed. Water is also brought out right away. Daily specials were written clearly on a blackboard, next to the kitchen. After a couple of minutes of looking at the menu were ready to order. It's tough deciding, especially when hungry - waffles, pancakes, eggs benedict, avocado toast, omelets, and if you are one of those that make the new year resolution to eat well, they have you covered with healthy choices like acai bowls, egg whites, veggies, etc. They also have combo like the "tri-fecta" which include eggs, your choice of pancakes/ waffles/ French toast, and your choice of turkey sausage/ bacon. I decided on an omelet. The works - this had sausage, bacon, cheese, mushrooms, spinach. It came with toast and yam on the side, and your choice of salad/ fruit/ breakfast potatoes. The omelet is big and filled with all the ingredients. It's well-seasoned, satisfying and very filling. Exactly what I needed after a fun New Year's Eve night. Since I saw how big their portions were, I decided to have the fruit as the side. Fruit was fresh, but was not able to finish it all. Same with the toast. To also help with the New Year's night detoxing, I ordered a "morning glow" juice - orange, lemon, carrot and ginger. YUM!! I would have this every day, if I could but would add a bit more ginger to it. Waffles are also a good portion. There was no plate on the table that would leave anyone hungry. We all enjoyed our brunch, and now I can say I've been (and will return) to First Watch. read more

Topped with sour cream and served with a side of housemade Pico de gallo. {I said no bread, don't eat the bread} they are always very attentive to my gluten allergies! The staff is always very friendly, knowledgeable and professional for the busy business that happens there weekend mornings, they are the awesomest. I have been to other FW locations in SoFlo, but this was my first visit to the Town Center location. What a great spot! On a Sunday at 9:30am, we had about a 15-minute wait, but used the Check-In app to skip the wait. Service was very good and attentive. The vibe is a cross between a casual, local diner and a chain, so it's not my favorite, but the food is delicious. We ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes to share, and I had the egg sandwich while my friend had the eggs benny. The pancakes were very good, but the lemon flavoring on top tasted very processed, so I had to wipe it off. My friend said her eggs benny were solid. My egg sandwich was recommended by the waitress, and it did not disappoint! Great combination of flavors. I just wish the bread was a little fresher. The iced coffee was wonderful. I enjoy my coffee two ways only: iced and sweet-as-can-be. So, if you like it that way, then definitely order! Despite the crowded restaurant on the Sunday morning, we were not rushed by the wait staff. This is rare these days, so it's something I appreciated. Will be back soon for sure! read more
