I haven't been to a first watch in years but I decided to treat my daughter before her first day of school. There were few other patrons at 8am on a weekday which was so nice. Service was quick and attentive and we both throughly enjoyed our breakfasts. My daughter got a massive pancake with bacon and ate very last bite. I got eggs, sausage, and a pancake as well. I honestly can't remember the last time I had such a fluffy and thick pancake. 10/10 First Watch hasn't been in our family rotations of breakfast spots but it will be now! read more

After spending the night in the ER all we wanted was a hot meal before heading home. First Watch did not disappoint! Tri Fecta for us both. I had the waffle and him the pancake. Only two issues: coffee wasn't hot and bacon wasn't crispy. Once those issues were resolved, we cleaned our plates!! YUMMMM! We will return under better circumstances! read more

Service is horrible. Told we'd have a 25 minute wait. That wait turned into almost an hour before we ended up asking if we could just be seated outside. My family and I visited First Watch for lunch on a Saturday in the early afternoon. There was just a five minute wait before we were seated at a spacious table and provided with menus. I ordered the smoked salmon benedict, my mom and brother got the BLT benedict, and my dad had the roast beef sandwich and kale salad. When the food was first brought out, we didn't have any utensils for a couple minutes and my benedict came out later than everyone else's. When I cut into the eggs of the benedict, I immediately noticed that something was wrong. Two of the eggs were very overcooked to the point that they were hard boiled instead of poached. There was a questionable third egg that was correctly poached. The portion sizes were also questionable small and looked sparse on the plate compared to other locations. As I dislike the texture of hard boiled eggs, my mom kindly gave me her BLT benedict which was satisfactory. She noted that her dish along with everyone else's seemed very oily and my dad said his sandwich was salty. I informed the waitress of the egg situation and she said she would inform the kitchen. Overall, this experience was a bit disappointing since I was previously a huge fan of First Watch. read more

It's the warmth and the kindness of Jessica Hines a hostess at First Watch that made my morning! She went out of her way after a package of mine broke a bottle of hot sauce as I was going to my table. She told me not to move since she thought a shard of glass was in my shoe. She got me a chair so I could sit and check my shoe for glass and she cleaned up the huge mess I made with a smiling face. The warmth of her smile made me feel so much better. She was so caring about me, beyond lovely! I told her manager this girl deserves a promotion! Her manager was extremely caring too. Kudos to Jessica for going above and beyond! I had heard such great things, but really wasn't very impressed. It took about ten minutes to get our drink order, then the drink machine was not working. When we got our food, they did not have silverware. When we asked for silverware, they came back minutes later saying that they did not have any rolled silverware or clean spoons available. The food was fine and the servers were polite, but overall not worth the money and unimpressive. Hopefully, this was just a very off day. read more

I've eaten at FW for years and found todays breakfast a bit salty. The food was good but I felt like my meal was hit with extra salt with each bite. I ordered the classic Benedict and it was good. The potatoes had a different flavor added for the seasoning and I'm not sure I would order those again. I ordered a blueberry pancake for a share and it was tasty. Very interesting, fancy menu if you're in the mood for that. Don't expect traditional breakfast dishes. Taste was excellent. Portions fair. I had a biscuit with sausage gravy with home fries. Amount of gravy was chintzy as was the portion of potatoes plus a lot were little crunchy bits. I feel like we were getting the last of the premade breakfast dishes. One thing that really bugged me was we asked for milk with our coffee instead of the little plastic cups of commercial creamer. The waitress forgot our request and when we reminder her, she brought a cup of milk for which she add $3.25 to the bill! I complained and she removed it but her explanation was we "were asking for a lot." Very strange and off putting attitude. It feels like they don't have a generous attitude and are pinching pennies. Really yummy breakfast! I got the power wrap which was a sundried tomato wrap filled with egg whites, turkey, mushrooms, and spinach. This combo was stellar: the addition of the turkey made the wrap so juicy and flavorful! It also came with a side of pico which was eh, and either fruit, lemon dressed greens, or potatoes. Recently had breakfast here with my family. I ordered brussel sprout hash with eggs, my guests ordered pancakes and French toast. My hash came out cold ..... eggs were cold and flavorless. Potatoes were cold and a few were even burned. Hardly any brussel sprouts. Pancakes and French toast were also cold. My guests ate, but I sent my meal back and chose not to eat. I recommend spending your hard earned money at other breakfast restaurants in the area. This place is not worth the effort. read more

We had breakfast there. I had the Italian hash skillet, my wife had eggs Benedict. First, the service was fine, the surroundings were good except the women's restroom was not clean. The food was the main problem. The Italian hash was described as containing some flavorful items, and some were there but they were drowned in a sea of flavorless potatoes. Lots of potatoes. If they had cut the potato content in half it would have been much better. Better sized, too. We're fortunate in having several breakfast options; next time we'll make a different choice. read more

This place was okay, I have to admit if it is the same chain that started in Florida back in the late 80's early 90's it has changed to some kind of healthy food option, Turkey, Chicken substitutes on meats, not just a good diner any longer so you have to make sure what your are ordering if you say sausage patties, know your going to get fake patties. lol Sydney our server was pretty decent. The food was good, but again if it is the same name brand that started down in South Florida area, they are just trying to hard. I do recommend them and they do know how to cook eggs, which is always a plus in a Diner situation. They do the simple things right. So check them out. read more

While in Chapel Hill I stopped here for a quick breakfast. I ordered pick up online and my order was accurate and waiting for me when I walked in the restaurant about 15 min later. I ordered: Red Medicine ($4.99) - great flavor and color, however, it is pricy considering how much of the cup is ice. Power Breakfast Quinoa Bowl ($10.77) - delicious and filling. It easily can be two meals. I ate half for breakfast and the rest for lunch. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would recommend this restaurant to others! read more

During the pandemic I went here before an appointment I had later. I had a great experience! I got a little table away from others, as is the rule, and then a whole carafe of coffee and also one of water that I asked for. I had been to this store in another location, but their seasonal menu surprised me and I did have to go for the carnitas omelet and it really hit the spot on my empty stomach. The saltiest potatoes on earth and most juvenile attempt at million dollar bacon I've ever had. When it came out my son said "it looks like all they did was put syrup on it." And that's how it tasted as well. They rename it $1 bacon. The egg sandwich was the only good part as the potatoes tasted like they seasoned them with an entire container or Morton's. Not good! So many problems. 1. First impression - front doors are so dirty. 2. Lots of problems with food. Pumpkin pancakes are very small and tasted awful with weird odd bad taste- those got sent back. Avocado came out with another dished that looked bad- had to ask for good avacado. Hash- asked for part of it on the side and never got it. Plus, sweet potatoes were not cooked enough. Eggs Benedict - someone does not know how to make hollandaise sauce. It should not be running like water 3. Ladies bathroom has one toilet broken and dirty. Needs a deep deepclean. The toilet doors are silver and just show fingerprints everywhere. Gross! 4. While on the subject of bathrooms- bathroom doors need to be repainted. 5. Kitchen staff loud. Saw staff eating food while in kitchen. Overall, cute decor. Not very clean. Food is just okay. i've been to this location twice now & it's just such a convenient yet homey place to eat brunch with friends & family! the first time, we sat outside as my friend brought her pup & our waitress was so excited to see her, even brought some water for her which we appreciated! loved the atmosphere & how friendly the staff are! the second time, my friend and i were seated inside into a booth & it was so comfortable as it wasn't too loud or crowded, just enough to enjoy our own conversations & company. at the time, their wifi was being iffy so our waitress was so kind to update us with the situation & checked up on us/gave us ample time to decide on what we'd like to order & she even wrote nice words on the back of our recipes! i will definitely be recommending my friends this location as it's been so friendly, welcoming, & delicious each time! read more

The food was immaculate. I can't even pick a favorite. Baked oysters, cured scallops with bread, halibut crudo, delicious pasta dish and lastly venison. Everything was SO good. The wine pairings were also super delicious. I'm not much of a red wine drinker and I appreciated the lightness of the reds that were chosen. The woman from the wine shop did a phenomenal job of explaining the history and significance of each wine. It was a lovely experience. The restaurant staff were so friendly and kind as well. Only thing I'd change is adding a dessert! Would've loved a little sweet treat, even something tiny like a truffle or scoop of icecream, just something to finish off the meal would've been amazing. All in all, the meal was so amazing and I'm so glad I got to experience this wonderful event. Everyone should go check them out!

The star of the show in my opinion were the hush puppies and the corn and wild mushroom risotto. There were sooo many different flavors that perfectly complemented each other. I was blown away. And the pig cheek on top was incredible. 500/10. Our server made great recommendations! Then-- chaos and heartbreak ensued in the form of a fire alarm. We were forced to evacuate the restaurant as the fire department arrived , leaving about half our meal on the table. After 30 or so minutes of waiting out in the cold (we were apparently the only guests who hadn't paid out yet) our server came to find us. He asked us if we wanted to just give him our credit card information and he would ring us up later, when the fire department gave them the ok, as he understood not wanting to wait around. It broke our heart to leave our leftovers, but we agreed and went to go get the car. Thankfully we are stubborn.. and optimistic to a fault. And by the third time we circled around the block, the fire truck was pulling away. I ran in and asked if there was any chance our food hadn't been thrown away yet, and it hadn't! The staff was happy we had been able to come back, and they packed everything up for us, even taking the hush puppies off the bill and sneaking in a complimentary piece of key lime pie. I'm so glad we were able to tip our server appropriately for his great service-- and rescue our leftovers. Happy ending. All was well. (And the fire ended up being something innocuous in the unit above the restaurant)

Overall, I would probably give this somewhere between a four and a five, but I do really love to support Local and I could tell this place probably makes a banging coffee drink and had delicious looking desserts, so I went with a 5.
