Brigs is a gem that effortlessly blends a warm atmosphere with delicious breakfast... and lunch choices. During our visit today I enjoyed the Country Skillet. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavor. The eggs were fluffy and the cheese melted beautifully, adding a creamy texture that brought the entire skillet dish together. The service and coffee along with the food are excellent. Unlike some places they offer flavored creamers, which I thought was a nice touch. They have great regular options like benedicts, omelets, pancakes, and the previously mentioned skillets. I also love they have regular rotating options. This month is a peach theme and last week I had the Peach Pancakes, which were very decadent. We can't wait to return again and explore more of their delicious menu.

The food is hot and plentiful. I usually get the Florentine Benedict, but the last time I was there I just had scrambled eggs and potatoes. Food was filling and the only $6. I do not drink coffee, but according to a friend that does, Brigs has great coffee. I also like that I can sit and talk to friends and family for as long as I want after eating. Though I must say, I do not go to Brigs on Friday/Sat/ Sunday. Very crowded then. I really wish they had another Durham location. A lot of the tables are near windows and it's a pleasant place to eat.

So I'm sharing our experience here as well. Within three minutes of sitting at the bar, we noticed fruit flies flying around. We still hadn't seen the bartender, until we noticed a puff of smoke coming from behind the bar. She was sitting behind the counter vaping. We decided to at least order drinks and mentioned the fruit flies while she was making them. Her response? "We have roaches in the back, so don't worry about the flies," followed by a laugh. I'm sorry... WHAT?! Fruit flies were bad enough. An employee vaping behind the bar was questionable. But having an employee casually tell customers there are roaches in the back of the restaurant absolutely did it for us. Needless to say, we did not order food. What makes the experience even more disappointing is that instead of acknowledging the concerns raised in my original review, the restaurant hid the review. Customers should be able to make informed decisions based on other customers' experiences, even when those experiences aren't flattering. We will not be returning, and based on our experience, I absolutely would not recommend this restaurant.
