I've been to first watch many times and the food is always tasty. Because there aren't too many brunch places in cstat, expect a long wait. You can join the waitlist on their app, but I've joined it and still had to wait 45 minutes once arriving. I highly recommend the loaded salmon bagel if you enjoy lox. It's filling and feels healthy! Their traditional breakfast menu items are also great. Also, my favorite juice is the kale tonic. The apple is so refreshing! We waited over 45 minutes for a table after calling ahead and checking in once we got there. It took so long that the infant we brought got cranky, so dad had to take the baby home, very frustrating to have to wait this long to be seated. Not sure what the solution could be, not sure why other restaurants can seat people for Lunch and dinner faster than they can for breakfast. My eggs weren't prepared correctly, I think the weight staff may need lore training on different styles of eggs. I wanted. On the soggy side, it not your super crispy bacon. After giving it a try, I don't think it's worth getting a second time. (3/5): PUMPKIN PANCAKE: Mild pumpkin flavor, standard pancake, sharable. The maple syrup that came on the side was normal syrup. Did its job. (3/5): SMOKED SALMON & ROASTED VEGETABLE FRITTATA: The smoked salmon was concentrated in a small portion of the frittata. If you got a piece that didn't have salmon then you couldn't really taste it. The roasted veggies were just shallots and tomatoes. There seemed to be more shallots than salmon because we got a piece of shallot in every bite. The tomatoes were sundried tomatoes not chunks of roasted tomatoes. We didn't get the ciabatta toast on our plate. That's on us for not letting the server know. (4/5): MARKET SKILLET HASH: Two eggs your way. I went for poached. When you come to college station on game weekend you expect longer waits and crowded places. We have always had great experiences with First Watch in the DFW area, this First Watch must have skipped the customer service training. I don't understand why so many people go here. Tried twice, the food has no flavor & just overall sucked. I love Bloody Marys, but theirs wasn't even drinkable. Also there was a waitress(blonde buzz cut) who was nasty to the other servers, she didn't even try to quietly be rude to them. Toasted yolk & world of beer have the best brunch in town! She came back and said that everything with their potatoes comes with onions but there were other dishes our friends ordered that didn't come with onions when they had potatoes. The prices are high & the catch-phrases of the day are vast throughout the menu ("cage-free", etc). Do not order the Bloody Mary...it's V8 juice with vodka & a piece of candied bacon in it...for $9. The portions were quite large, and we ended up with two boxes of takeaway. However, the portions are about right for what you pay. My friend loved the omelette, and I quite enjoyed my hash as well. The only downside to my choice was that the potatoes were just a little dry and the goat cheese was only making it worse. I would definitely recommend coming here though! The food is fresh and delicious. Everything on the menu sounds great, so it's a tough decision when it comes to ordering. Coffee is hot and bold, the juice was super refreshing and food tasty.
