Very disappointing experience. The food was barely edible. Horrible service and rude people. We went there before 9 on a Saturday, waited for about 1h for the seat, but if I could have gotten great food I won't complain about it. However my Egg Benedict came out HARD BOILED after 30min of waiting. Seriously, if you have egg Benedict on the menu, you should be able to do it right. It took me another 20min to catch my waiter, but she just said "oh damn they did it again?" and took my plates out. Then it was another 20min again for me to be able to find her, she told me they are still cooking and may take more time for the egg Benedict, I have to tell her that I wanted to cancel my order because we have things planned after the brunch. The waiter, again, didn't say anything to a customer who had to leave this place HUNGRY after waiting for 2h. Being busy and understaffed can't even justify this horrible service with such unimpressive food. read more

I went to First Watch in College Station against my better judgement because I decided to give it one more try after consistently eating cold, uncooked, soggy food. This experience was unfortunately, no better... my pancakes were cold once again and when I asked the waitress if they could be re-heated she explained to me that they would have to make me new ones because they do not have any artificial heating system. My friends meals were also cold. I told her not to bother because I didn't want to be difficult or wait another 20 minutes for my food so I ate cold pancakes and paid $16 for them. I will never go back to this place unless they decide to serve hot food!! read more

Only breakfast option that's not tacos or ihop/denny's/kettle, and I'm so happy I finally dragged myself in. The coffee was burnt but I don't have a sophisticated palate so I still chugged two cups. I had the elevated egg sandwich with a side of cheddar parm grits. The grits had no flavor, but I'm also partial to The Breakfast Klub's salty, buttery goodness. Eggs, bacon, biscuits... whatever this place has to offer it's not worth the abuse of your time. We waited one hour 15 minutes of the 45mins-1hour they told us. Then when we asked about how much longer it would take, the answer was "Sorry but there are 22 groups ahead of you. Probably another hour or so." Even with their fancy text messaging system they can't even be honest about when you'll be seated. Apparently, some of the 22 groups ahead of us, "checked in from home," whatever that really means. Great for them. We weren't the only people leaving disgusted that morning. Too bad this town suffers from so few good breakfast joints. This place could use some competition. read more

I have only been to first watch two times. The first time the server assured me the sourdough bread was gluten free, even after I told him I was Celiac, which it most certainly was not. I found out via being stuck on the toilet at my future in-laws house the next day, which was awesome . Honestly though, the worst thing was the next time a friend & I went we BOTH got horrendous food poisoning. I was throwing up all night. Needless to say, I will never be back. read more

Ordered 2 salads and a kids sandwich. It took 40 minutes for one salad and kids meal to come out and another 10 minutes for the other salad. No apologies given when we spoke to server about it. Found out later that other people have had similar experiences there, even being blown off when asked to speak to the manager...said he was "too busy." If the food had been amazing it might have been worth it but everything we had was decent at best. If you have children, please rethink and go somewhere else. read more

Woke up this morning stuck between breakfast and lunch so we decided to go to First Watch. The wait wasn't too bad, and we were seated promptly. The waitress took a while for everything, but in her defense it was a busy service. Once we ordered, it took forever to get our food. Our friend got his omelette first so he had to wait at least 15 min before our food came. I had ordered a crab and asparagus omelette and my sister had a Barbacoa Benedict. The taste of the omelette was very interesting and not in a good way, the crab was a bit cold and the flavor of the omelette didn't mix well. I don't know what part of the asparagus they used but I felt like I had a bunch of chewy root bits. As for the Benedict dish, they managed to hard boil a poached egg, and the dish overall was too salty. For as long as we waited we expected the food to taste better, but ended up getting sub par food with okay service. read more

The food is good but the system they have in place for checking in is horrible. They have an app so you can check in ahead of time. If you don't know about the app you are wasting your time trying to get a table. We went to check in and there were literally 1 party ahead of us. The hostess told me 30-45 min or it could be sooner. I found out about this app while in line and downloaded it. Said there were 20 parties ahead of me. 45 min later we checked on the status and we were told it would be another 20 at least. This is a huge turnoff for people that do t frequent this establishment. I won't be back. read more

This is my favorite breakfast/lunch place in Bryan/College Station! If you're going on the weekends there will be a little bit of a wait, but it is well worth it. Good food, good service. Both of us ordered the farmhouse scramble and while it was good, I'll ask them to give me less potatoes in the bottom next time. The potatoes overwhelmed the bacon, avocado, and eggs and soaked up all the yolk of my over easy eggs! Didn't expect to like the toast, but it was great! My husband and I have been so excited to try this place out, as there are not a lot of brunch places in BCS, and we LOVE a good brunch! The atmosphere is very modern and relaxing. My husband ordered the market hash, and I ordered an egg sandwich which was highlighted on the menu (assuming it is a specialty of theirs!). When the food came out, unfortunately my husband's food was slightly overcooked (still edible), but my egg sandwich came out with crispy (overcooked- not melty) cheese and an egg yolk that was cooked so hard it was chalky (the menu did state an over easy egg was supposed to adorn this dish). I am not usually one to send back food, but unfornately this had to be sent back. The waitress was great- we just asked for a new egg, but instead she brought me a new sandwich and was extremely apologetic and polite. My husband and I both manage restaurants and have been in the food industry for 5+ years, so we told her not to stress too much! When the new sandwich came out, it was pure perfection. Yolk nice and runny, cheesy creamy and melty, and even the potatoes were better (the original ones had onions so crisp I wasn't 100% sure they were onions until I got a new plate!). So 4 stars-- waitress was friendly and fixed the issue, and food was great after it was fixed. I left only a bit disappointed with not having a manager stop by the table to apologize, as I feel that is a common courtesy offered when an issue arises. We will be back, and hope to see the kitchen has worked out the kinks that come along with a new restaurant! read more

Billed as fresh and healthy, but it was difficult to tell from my dish due to an over abundance of dressing. I suppose the first red flag was the lack of dishes for less than 500 calories (hint: printed calories is not the same as healthy. I've heard that the cracker barrel prints calories on their menu too). The second red flag was the limited vegetarian selection and lack of vegan options (there wasn't even a vegetarian salad.) I made due with a Kale salad without chicken. They still charged full price for the meatless version, but I can't fault them too much for that. However, the "healthy" salad was soaked in dressing, utterly masking any flavors from the vegetables. Maybe the kitchen thought that I ordered a soup? The Kale wasn't cut all the way through making it difficult to eat with the provided cutlery (butter knife and fork). The portion was small for the price. If that wasn't enough, the person dining with me did the half salad half sandwich lunch and her "half" pecan salad was almost as big as my full salad. Naturally her 50/50 lunch was less expensive than the whole salad. If I have to eat there again I'll be sure to do 50/50 and select the same salad twice, dressing on the side. At least that will save me a few dollars. Luckily there are other dining options. read more

It's great to have another breakfast spot in town, but they are really overstating their "Farm to Table" marketing (I'm currently staring at a giant Farm to Table rustic sign). There is a bowl of flavored creamer packs on the table instead of fresh cream. The eggs are clearly not farm eggs and are the pale yellow color of bottom shelf eggs. They are cooked perfectly though. The bacon was limp and lacked in flavor. I do appreciate all the healthy options. The multigrain toast was flavorful, but needed 30 more seconds in the toaster. Pancakes were a bit dry but flavor (carrot cake) was good. My wife and I aren't sure if it's real maple syrup or not, but we typically by the darker grade b at home so this may be the real deal but tasted light to us. Good carrot orange and ginger juice. We'll come back to try a few more things given the lack of options in BCS. It's a solid 3.5-3.75 stars but had to round up to 4. read more

We drove an hour from Huntsville to eat here this morning. Since we had a party of six we called ahead to see if we could make reservations. They said we couldn't. When we arrived there was a sign that they had call ahead with the no wait ap. It would have been nice if they'd told us about this on the phone when we'd called asking for reservations. We were told it would be about 45 mins to get a table. We said inside or outside was fine, whichever was first available. While waiting outside, we noticed a family who just arrived, sit down at at an outside table to on their own. We told them there was a list inside, that people were signing up on. The waitress told them there was no list if they wanted to sit outside, and proceeded to get them taken care of. Since we'd already been waiting over 30 mins for a first available table, that was frustrating to us. The food was ok, not great. I'd ordered the salmon Benedict. One of the eggs was over cooked, to almost boiled egg consistency, also it wasn't even warm. Not worth the drive or the wait. Won't be back. read more
