I've never not liked the food at Urban Egg and when i went yesterday, it was delicious. However, within 20 minutes of leaving, my daughter and my stomach started aching and feeling upset. Then the dread came when we had to get home fast. I'll leave the next details out. After we made it home safely, i call the manager of Urban Egg and was super disappointed on how she responded to our food poisoning or whatever you want to call it. She dismissed it was we both had a cold. She said if we thought we had food poisoning we should go to the ER. I wasn't trying to get anything from her, just wanted to let her know. After we made it home, did our business, we slowly started feeling better. We still couldn't eat the rest of the day and the next morning. While this was likely a Grubhub issue, the manager Brad gave me a personal call to make sure all my concerns were addressed. I read the voicemail and was impressed with his professionalism and concern. I would definitely recommend this resteraunt; sometimes the best judge of quality service isn't when things go right, but rather by when things go wrong and how they are handled. Hats off to Brad. We went to urban egg on Sunday at roughly 9:45 am and only had to wait 15 minutes for a table. Of the rip we ordered drinks and biscuit and gravy for the table, our biscuit and gravy came out cold and our diet Pepsis had no syrup in. They brought us new drinks after some time. Our order: Breakfast burrito with half and half chili, and a side of cinnamon swirl pancakes and then an extra side of Belgium pearl waffle. Breakfast burrito: 4/5 Yummy but could have use some sour cream or a sweet component Cinnamon swirl pancakes: 5/5 Fluffy, sweet, and a large portion for a side Belgium pearl waffle: 1/5 DO NOT GET, hard as a rock and a tinnyyyy portion. We gave them back and got refunded on it. (Award Winning) Biscuits and gravy: 4.5/5 Great flavor, the temperature was the only down fall. Biscuits had a crispy outside with a soft and fluffy interior. One of my favorite breakfast restaurants in town! I love that they have healthy options but also have plenty of other options if you would like to indulge. Their drinks are super good (boozy or not) although I normally enjoy a Bloody Mary when I'm there. I usually get the avocado toast when I'm trying to be "healthy" but have also had the breakfast burrito in the past. So card I haven't had anything I didn't like! My wife and I were signing the papers for our mortgage this morning and I needed to not have an empty stomach. We came into the local Urban egg and were seated pretty much immediately. The place was nice, bright and not too noisy for how full it was. Our waiter came really fast and was very friendly. The menu items made it hard to decide. I had the huevos rancheros and my wife had the breakfast burrito (no imagination) the food was wonderful. Very flavorful and a good portion. The price was reasonable and we left ready to sign for a boat load of responsibility. I would totally recommend The Urban Egg to my friends. We've always had a great service. There's outdoor seating here too if you want enjoy your eats outside. Stopped by Urban Egg on the way home and was thoroughly impressed. Had the corned beef hash and shared the gourmet pancake flight, which allows you to try 3 single specialty pancakes of your choice. I also tried the steak and eggs which has a unique twist. The menu is very unique and the food was great. The eggs they use are high quality, very orange yolks. I have been to Urban Egg many times and have always enjoyed it. Today was an exception. I ordered an omelette. They left out the bacon. They said they would remake it for me. I finally had to stop someone that was not even our waitress to check on the status of my omelette, because it had been 10-15 minutes and I still had not received it. By the time it arrived, I was full from eating the toast and sausage while waiting. My husband had completely finished his meal. They did not offer anything in the way of compensation. I ordered fruit instead of potatoes ( typically comes with it), along with sour dough bread (fantastic). I had a Bloody Mary (outstanding but $10)...my bill was over 30. I believe the omelette was $17 and an up charge for fruit was $3. The only complaint I have is the prices seem to be a bit high, but the quality is exceptional and the portion size was generous.
