There's almost always a wait here ... and ALWAYS a wait during prime hours. During my first visit here, I was fairly impressed all around. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. For breakfast during my visit, I was going to order one of their yummy sandwiches, but I ultimately decided on the tri-fecta. With my meal I ordered scrambled eggs and turkey sausage. I'll just say it. I loved this place. We were in town visiting family and I looked up some good quality restaurants to go to. I had heard of First Watch, living in Maryland but had yet to try one! First of all, I loved that if you have the app you can "get in line" before you even get in the car. Which came in VERY handy on a Sunday morning. When we arrived we "checked in" and in a few minutes were brought to our table. Every single person that worked here was friendly, polite and just genuinely made you happy to be there. Their coffee was delicious and they put a whole pot on the table which was a nice touch so you don't have to hunt your server down for a refill. They also put down a glass milk jug of water. Doesn't that always make it just look more delicious? I love going out for breakfast but I rarely want "breakfast foods". This was great because since they are a breakfast/brunch place they have a nice mix of sweet and savory dishes. I had one of the quinoa bowls - the chicken pesto. It was absolutely delicious! I also had one of their fresh juices called "Morning Meditation" - it was beet and citrus and celery I think. They have a large range of things from avocado toast, to regular omelets to unique seasonal items. Their sandwich selection looked great and I was pleased to learn that they even had gluten free bread. So I definitely plan to go back for "lunch". We were driving back from Pittsburgh and wanted to stop for lunch on our way and we had heard of this place, but had never been. It was a small chain place that I found out after getting back home that we have them here in VA too. The food was really good and they have a pretty good selection of food. The only thing I was not a huge fan of was the small portions of food. The price was pretty high for the small amount of food you received. The server was pretty attentive to us, made sure we had our drinks, let us take some extra time to look at the menu and answer questions about the food and the menu. I would try it again, and maybe get something different, besides the sandwhich I ordered. Just to see if maybe the location near me offers a different selection and to compare the prices. This is the second time I ordered Eggs Benedict and both times I had to send back the eggs. The eggs were way over cooked. I also ask for potatoes they were so hard I ask them to be extra crispy and they weren't. Our bill for the two of us was $35. That is sooo expensive! I don't think I will go back there. read more

Healthy food doesn't have to taste like cardboard, and there are no cardboards here. They serve quinoa, multigrain pancakes and brunch/lunch dishes with all sorts of veggies and fruits that are TASTY! They always offer coffee as you're seated, but we always get their fresh juice. I like the kale tonic (kale, cucumber, lemon). Refreshing! The day glow (carrot, orange, ginger) was ok. I like pulp, but you may want to request no pulp if you don't. My mom tried the power wrap here, which she said was delicious. It has egg white omelette with crimini mushrooms, spinach and other veggies. The fruit bowl that came with it looked and tasted fresh! I love tomatillo sauce/salsa verde anything, so I tried the chilaquiles during their seasonal spring menu. Their version had chicken, red onions, avocado slices on top of soft corn tortilla. Served with black beans and sour cream on the side. It was spicy but the sides complemented it well. I could not stop eating eventhough I was full halfway thru the dish. I really hope they would put it on the regular menu. When Spring was over, the chillaquiles was gone, so I went back to getting my usual chickichanga. Highly recommend this as well. It isn't as spicy as the chillaquiles but still flavorful! The fruit cups here are also fresh! On another visit, my hubby and I shared a belgian waffle that came with warm syrup and one of, if not, the best berry compote I've ever had. It's pricey for a belgian waffle though. Not only do they have impressive food but also good service. They try their best to make things efficient because they get so busy even on a monday afternoon. I was a bit 'iffy' to come here at first as for some reason I felt like it was "fancy" breakfast, and I wasn't sure if there would be something I like. Now that I've been back again and again, I wouldn't consider it fancy, its more so healthy! I am under the impression that they used more fresh ingredient, and just have better for you options. I typically order a hash there that always comes out delicious. Last time I was there I tried a healthier option with their turkey and spinach egg white omelette that was simply amazing! One of my favorite things that comes with most meals that have bread is their jam! If you have a chance to try it, DO it! I've gone here for lunch a couple times, and that is just as good as breakfast. Fresh, delicious sandwich options and healthy salads that anyone would enjoy. I've noticed that a lot of the staff has been there for a while, at their the wait-staff which I always love seeing! They have a new juice bar that I was very curious about last time, so our waitress was nice enough to bring me samples of all three! First Watch has been my go to place for the past 3 years since moving to Cranberry Twp! The food is always fresh and wonderful. Today I have a morning meditation and a market skillet hash and like always it was perfect! It was a holiday and was very busy and we had to wait about 15 minutes prior to getting our table and the greeter was not in a good mood at all( the crowds must have gotten to her) but everything is was wonderful as usual! For the past year this has been our go-to spot for breakfast and lunch. Always exceptional food and service. Stopped in today and it was like a completely different place. For starters, they had the heat turned up so high that you literally broke into a sweat about 30 seconds after entering. Pretty much everyone who walked in complained. The waitress wasn't actually unfriendly, but not the cheerfulness we've come to expect here. My fiancé ordered the veggie omelette and it was atrocious! Dry, way over cooked eggs and instead of the warm goat cheese filling it's supposed to contain, inside was cold, crumbled feta cheese. Not a pleasant surprise! I ordered "over easy" eggs and they came with the yolks mostly cooked through. The pancake was relatively tasteless and not what I remembered. The coffee was as good as usual, but come on First Watch, do you really think making customers rip open tiny packets of fake creamer is the way to go? Even a gas station like Sheets let's you put your own half-n-half in your coffee. Put a small cream pitcher on the table for goodness sakes so I don't confuse you with the 7/11!
