I am definitely a breakfast/brunch person. This place is amazing. Service is quick and the food is healthy. My place to go on a Sundays.

Great food, but disappointing service. I sat at the community table and the waiter literally left the prior customer's food next to us for 80% of the time I sat there. I asked him to please clear the table but it took him forever. It's disgusting seeing empty plates and old napkins while trying to eat. This is only one example; in general the service is disappointing. I've been to this location at least 5 times. To be balanced, the food itself was outstanding and was inline with what you would expect from First Watch. read more

Food was great and the service was good. The wait was over 45 minutes and another 45 minutes after the waitress took our order. They appear to be understaffed in cleaning tables and also in back of the house. Room for improvements. Hollandaise sauce could use some Tabasco need flavor. read more

I've not written many POSITIVE reviews, but I will for this place. My wife and I went here for the first time at the Cumming Location. But let me explain....when she's hungry and wants to eat, trying a new place is VERY risky. We were greeted, seated, and thankfully our server was not a rookie! She had the Avocado Toast AND the Farmhouse Hash AND ate the whole damn thing! I had the Traditional and was lucky to still have my hands. We definitely will return and hopefully we can escape with a slightly heavier wallet. read more

Unfortunately we will not be visiting the first watch location in Cumming anytime soon. We went back today to use our coupon from the previous bad food and service. This location lacks some serious management. The manager was in the back food prepping and was not engaged in any way with the restaurant. The kitchen needs a line cook or chef to take over. The food took 30 min to come out and was barely warm. Corporate better take a look at this place. People will not tolerate a bad restaurant for long. read more

Went there this morning and the hygiene and service was absolutely terrible. First of all I opened up my silverware wrapped in a napkin and my spoon for stirring my coffee was caked with a brown crust like baked on brownie. I complained about it and asked for a new one. She never showed up with a new spoon as she said she would. Then my breakfast came, still no spoon to stir my coffee. I was eating my breakfast and after 2 bites I found a hair in my potatoes which I complained about that. Still no coffee spoon brought yet. She then got me a new cutlery setup because the hair was stuck to the fork tightly. Still no apologies and no manager was sent to my table to at least acknowledge my disappointment. I then went to pay at the hostess station and she asked me how my breakfast was. I told her about my ordeal and she just shrugged it off with an "I'm sorry" with a smile on her face. Didn't act concerned, didn't get a manager and didn't offer to give me a discount and still cost me over $18 for 2 scrambled eggs, 2 small sausages some potatoes and a slice of bread and a coffee. I took my son there today to try it out. We, and the table next to us sat for 20 mins without anyone even bringing water. I finally asked a waitress if anyone had our station. She just said "oh I'll go ask". Another 5 mins and someone came up and asked if we had, had time to look at the menu. I told her we were ready to order as we had been there almost 30 mins. She rolled her eyes and went into her rehearsal about the million dollar bacon and tried to sell us on everything. We finally ordered. We never saw her again. We had 4 different people "waiting" on us. I used to wait tables. This was a disgrace. The food was good but no breakfast with non-existent service is worth $44 FOR 2 PEOPLE!!!!!!! We got coffee, eggs Benedict, a waffle and a scramble. SERIOUSLY! $44 for that and crappy service! Never and I mean never, have I ever tipped less than 20%. I tipped less than 10. God be with you if you go. Even if there was decent service, nothing was worth that kind of money. read more

My wife and I came in for brunch today. We ordered the AM Superfoods Bowl and the Turkey Sausage Gravy and Biscuit plate. The food was amazing. The service was even better than the food. The location is beautiful! I was expecting to see it look like the old stuffy ones in Sarasota, Florida but it did not! Wow! What a pleasant surprise. The Belgium Waffle and bacon were both delicious! The blueberry/cherry compote was delicious! Kayla and her trainee Kasey were awesome! Social distancing is in play and it was a great experience. I love First Watch. I first had it in Florida a few years ago. Since then I have enjoyed John Creek and Alpharetta locations. This Cumming location has a lot of learning to do. We dined here on opening day with 8 people. It was opening day and I overlooked issues that we had such as our parties food coming out at separate times even though we all ordered together. I noticed the problem was as the waitress took our order another staff member took part of the orders to the kitchen while the waitress continued taking orders from the remaining members of our party. Today we went and took our fathers for Father's Day. This time a party of 7. The orders were done the same way and food came out separately again. My husband ordered the summer special crab omelet and it arrived and was cold and he was first to be served. I like this place especially for breakfast because it is the only place to get gluten free and non cow's milk cheese in a meal. Only to be disappointed as it was not on the Father's Day menu and when asked if it could still be made, I was told no. Other locations also offer splenda along with the stevia for those that are diabetic but not this location. read more

I love the First Watch in Alpharetta and was super excited to have one Cumming. Finally, a nice place an not another fast food joint. I got a skillet meal with potatoes, bacon, eggs, and toast. My friend with me got the million dollar bacon and Eggs Benedict. We both kind of ate off each other's plates and everything tasted fresh and was cooked correctly. Will definitely be back! read more

This was my first visit to this location. We were quickly seated, however, waited 15 minutes to be greeted by a server. I was with my young son so ordered food with the drink. 35 minutes later our food showed up. I broke into my eggs Benedict and the eggs are cooked totally through, not what I had ordered. I waited another 10 minutes to flag our sever down - she offered to take it off the bill - I left hungry. I get to my car (parked behind the restaurant) and at 12:30pm there was an 18-wheeler food delivery truck completely blocking myself along with everyone else who had parked back there. Not the best time to deliver food during a busy lunch hour. Needless to say I won't be coming back to this location, I'll drive a few extra minutes down to Johns Creek. read more

Unfortunately they need time to get their kitchen staff trained properly in food preparation. This is our third try. Nothing comes out to everyone at the table at the same time which causes everyone to eat separately or to wait and their food gets cold. It also took 3 tries to get eggs Benedict prepared correctly. The eggs came out hard each time. The yolk wasn't runny at all but hard all the way through. The 4th attempt we said please just make them over easy since poached doesn't seem to be attainable. We also waited 1hr 20min (an extra 20 even with NoWait app). Bummer. I hope they get it together. read more

This was my first time here. I'm visiting my friend and she recommended we come here for brunch and I'm so glad we did. The experience was great from the check in to the check out. I ordered the turkey gravy biscuit with eggs, potatoes and coffee. The server was attentive without disturbing us. We were able to sit and talk after our meal without feeling rushed to turn over another table. The atmosphere was good. When I'm back in the city I will definitely come back and I've already shared it with family that lives here. read more

First I understand the difficulty of all the current situations, so this isn't a slight or attack to say no one is working hard at this establishment. I have dined at many first watch's, and have always had great experiences. But ordered online and picked up, the food was ready when I arrived and customer service was great no complaints. But when I arrived home I found that multiple things were missing. An order of sausage, potatoes for an omelette, a salad for the omelettes, as well as toast for one. When you spend $50+ it is rather frustrating to not get 1/3 of the items you pay for. read more

Went here with my mom and got the eggs Benedict Florentine. The experience was almost unreal!! First time it came out, the eggs were almost hard boiled, no runny yolk to be found. We told our waitress, who didn't even looked fazed by the obviously incorrect eggs saying that they sometimes came out wrong and she's bring me new eggs. Just eggs mind you, she left the plate with the eggs that were somewhere between over hard and hard boiled. It was better than what came out. We went from one extreme to another!!! Yep, practically raw eggs. There wasn't even a film over the yolks and the whites were still transparent in places. She plopped them down next to me in a bowl and one burst and my mom looked at me and immediately said "Those are raw!" Even with this comment having been said, we had to ask our waitress to see the manager after she shot us a deer in the headlights look and practically RAN from our table!!!! The ONLY reason I gave this review two stars was because the manager was nearly as horrified as we were and took the metaled off our tab. We put our reservation in online. Once the reservation was in, it said it was a 30 minute wait. We arrive at the restaurant in about 25 minutes and make our way to the host stand. We give our name. The man in charge ( white ish hair) was incredibly rude and told us it would be a 30 more minutes. I've never experience such poor service and honestly I'm glad we didn't sit down at this poorly run restaurant. read more

We had a wonderful experience for our first time here. The wait was long but we joined the waitlist before leaving the house, making the wait much more bearable. Our daughter loved the pancakes and our 2 year old son ate the entire enormous "kids" breakfast. It's huge! I'm gonna post this as a review so it is not forgotten hopefully one of them from the restaurant will view it: I am I'm a door Dash driver and I was treated with disrespect when I came in there to get the order because there's no sign for us to wait up at the front. But the way I was spoken to she picked off of how she perceive me and thought that I was a nuisance. I would not even eat here or definitely not pick up food from here ever again. It's enough as delivery drivers that we face a lot of rudeness or rude people when we go to and from the restaurant. In this day and age people are just way more rude and they are more likely to commit a crime, so that is why I try to do this every other day than every single day. I was blatantly told to just go wait at the front and not asked please to wait at the front (as if I was some schooler shooed out of a cafeteria after-hours. Trying to uphold this four out of five star rating is not good if you have employees that mistreat the people that go in there. Also when I was explaining to the manager this situation, I was cut off as if he thought that I was arguing at him. Well I feel that there needs to be more done in having the sign up for delivery drivers and there just needs to be more prep in the restaurant for delivery drivers. Do not assume that if one person goes near the back where everyone is sitting anyway that they are just a nuisance because you just happen to have a previous delivery driver do the same thing. But I would say watch who you guys disrespect. read more
