I've been to this First Watch location twice and each time the food was impeccable. I got the Cobb Salad this time around. Everything on my salad was fresh! Nothing looked like it had been sitting out for a while or discolored. The presentation was beautiful. Not only was the food fantastic, our server, Matt was excellent. From the moment he greeted us to the time we go our check, he was just what we needed. He was kind, outgoing, funny and asked us if everything was to our liking. We were able to get to know Matt for a bit, and learn about his education and what he is off to do next! What a talented young man, but most importantly, First Watch - you should be very grateful for someone like Matt, who provides excellent service to your patrons. Love the food at first Watch always and was super excited for some brunch food and to introduce first watch to my significant other. Woke up early and placed an order at 8:30 to pick up at 11 so we could be in and out and limit our exposure to other people. When we arrived we were a little late for our pickup but ended up having to wait 35 minutes for our food to be ready for pickup even though I placed an order 3 hours earlier. The serving size of the meals are sufficient. The service at this location has always been great! I love the option to reserve a table via yelp, that way you don't have to wait inside. The waiting area is kind of cramped and I feel like I am breathing down the necks of people dining or in the way of people check in or out. Parking at the location can be a little challenging as it is in a booming shopping plaza. However, you can always park further in order to walk off some of the calories after the meal. I'm so glad Cuyahoga Falls has another great place for breakfast and brunch. I've been here a handful of times and each experience has been consistent. I really like the overall design. It's open and clean with a nice balance of wood and metal. They have great lighting fixtures and an overall nice farm-to-table environment. The menu is very nice- clean lines, not too many offerings, and filled with great options. They have seasonal items so be sure to ask if you don't see anything on the menu. Items I've had include eggs bene and the breakfast chimi, which is my go-to menu item. By boyfriend always gets pancakes or French toast. I'm savory, he's sweet. They can take care of us both! The coffee is really good and the tea selection is ok. They don't have regular creamer, at least not when we've been there, so we've had to ask for milk and that didn't seem like something they normally do. Not sure. You can get a cup to go if you ask. The restrooms are tricky to find because there aren't any signs, which I found to be odd. You take your check up to the register yourself. Tip: there can be a long wait. Go early or later in the morning to avoid the crowd. read more

I think it's brilliant for the staff to give the table their own water pitcher and coffee pot. The million dollar bacon is a must have. It's a great place and has great food. We frequent this restaurant very often, the atmosphere is wonderful and the staff is amazing. I met a friend for breakfast, our server was Matthew. Let me say that this young man is very personable, took our orders, (which came out perfect), kept a check on us to see if we needed anything. At other restaurants, we usually have to track the servers down for more coffee or water, not Matthew. He is spot on!! He is a direct asset to your restaurant and you should be very proud to have him on board. read more

Wow! We were on an early morning walk to get coffee at Portage Crossing. We stopped to appreciate the new store front of First Watch and they invited us in for breakfast! We couldn't believe it! They were having a friends and family event and just invited us in! I've noticed First Watch in other locations but never have been inside. The food was delightful. I had the farm stand breakfast tacos, my daughter had French toast, bacon, and a fruit cup, and my Lady had Lemon Curd Ricotta Pancakes. They even had yogurt for the baby. We had coffee, water, and OJ. It was a lovely breakfast and the service was friendly and attentive. They have high chairs and slings available for the little bitty ones. First Watch has all types of delicious breakfast foods. They are conscious about their ingredients and what kind of meat they use. The atmosphere is always bustling, especially on weekends. On weekends, expect to wait over 30 minutes for a table. Also on weekends, it will take awhile to get your food, and the poor servers make you feel like they should hire a couple more. As for weekends, it is a little quieter and less busy. I prefer to go then since the weekends are just madness. The food is always fresh and delicious. I love their pancakes, especially their pumpkin pancakes in the fall. My husband loves getting the big platter with bacon, eggs, toast, and potatoes. Also, the Million Dollar Bacon is a must! We really like the food at First Watch, but we just don't go often since the madness and 30 min wait is such a big turn off. :( read more

My family and I are originally from California. So we definitely were not familiar with First Watch. We came into such a great atmosphere. The decor is beautiful, but most of all the staff is amazing. So courteous and extremely friendly. Now for the main reason as to keeping it our "to go" place THE FOOD! It is deliciously amazing. So fresh, but yet so filling. And their coffee is to die for. So if you're looking for great food and an awesome atmosphere FIRST WATCH is your place. Vegan options are listed on the yelp page but the only vegan options they have are sides. The main dishes are all vegetarian because everything has egg or cheese in it. I was out doing some shopping this morning, have been wanting to try this place so I stopped in. Got seated on the patio, waited a while for my server to come by. I ordered coffee and water, asked for sugar and plenty of cream since I like some coffee with my cream lol. I ordered the traditional bfast, eggs over easy with ham. Got my coffee, she brought about 5 French vanilla and 8 or so regular with some packets of raw sugar.... ok that works. Then realized she didn't bring a spoon so I just stirred the coffee with my butter knife. My food came pretty quickly, I asked for a spoon as well and she said she would bring some more cream. She did bring more cream, but took the sugar which i didn't realize right away. No biggie she'll be back right? Think again. My eggs were actually over medium so the yolk was set and not runny like I wanted. The potatoes, while delicious, were not that warm (this seems to happen often for me lol). Ham was ok, nothing special honestly. The toast was delicious though! My server never came back to my table to see how my food was so I just sucked it up and ate the overdone eggs and drank my coffee with no sugar. Didn't see her until she brought my check. If this were my daughter typing this, she would give this 10 stars if possible. But this is my review, so it only gets 4. The atmosphere is awesome and the food is consistently very good. Staff here is awesome and everyone at the restaurant seemingly is in a good mood. These are all great things!! However, if I were to rate this based upon VALUE, I would give them 2-3 stars. It's just a bit overpriced, like many of these 'hip' type of restaurants that cater to their audience. That said, I would go back and I do enjoy the food and atmosphere. Really Good! I usually go to the location in Fairlawn at Summit Mall, but decided to meet friends at this location instead. We got there at 10:45am and there was a 25 min wait, luckily I used the waitlist on Yelp so we only waited 10 min. The service was fast, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was fun! The restaurant was extremely busy, but is a great place for groups to meet and hang out. I got a pancake special with chia seeds, almond butter and preserves...FANTASTIC! One friend got the Floridian French Toast, the other got the Trifecta...both loved their meals! Gotta love this chain, so many food choices and great service! read more

Did they spend all of the money on the new building and forget how to make breakfast? For a "high end" breakfast joint this place falls very short: 1) Omelette was offered with egg whites (for no extra charge, awesome!) but came out at room temperature. 2) My friend had to send back his food twice, it was wrong even the second time... not the level of service that was expected... 3) Potatoes were dry, also were about room temperature. Honestly, I think this place focuses on cutesy decorating rather than a good breakfast. I got an average/ below average breakfast and paid top dollar. Will not be returning anytime soon. read more

Came in for brunch after being unsure of the concept. I generally lean towards more traditional breakfast places. Upon entry the restaurant is very modern and hip looking. It was busy but the wait was only about 20 mins. I liked that they used your phone number to text you when your table is ready. Upon sitting, we were greeted by a friendly waitress who offered a variety of juices, special drinks, water, coffee etc. I opted for water which came in a old style milk jar container, and my wife had coffee. The menu is large enough to offer variety but small enough to be manageable. This is not the type of place that offers the run of the mill eggs and bacon. Everything has a twist, fusion aspect, or trendy play on traditional breakfast staples. I chose the smoked salmon frittada, and my wife went for the chicken salad melt. We also put in for their biscuits and gravy. I was excited for the biscuits and gravy, they looked amazing. After tasting though, I would not order again. The biscuits had a strange consistency/were very dark on the bottom, and the gravy was turkey based. My frittada was good. I liked the flavors but found their use of tomato completely unbalanced the dish. With the suttle flavors of creme, parmesan, herbs, and chives complimenting smoked salmon why through in large blistered tomato chunks? Awful sensation to get a bite of that when the other flavors were great. I also noted for a dish advertising smoked salmon, it had one small chunk, and a few small bits throughout. The lightly dressed salad on the side was forgettable and out of place. My wife enjoyed the chicken salad but would have ordered sans the melted cheese. The bread it came on was good, and the chicken and wild rice soup was great. She also enjoyed the coffee that was served. After we finished, we paid our bill with tax and tip amounted to just over $32. My only recommendation would be the speed of service from ordering it took quite awhile to receive our food 27 mins. This is not a huge issue though as this place was packed, and the food was very fresh and hot when served. read more

Horrible experience. Long time customer and will not be returning. This past Tuesday 5/11 called ahead to see how long is seating availalbe and was told we could arrive anytime up until 2:30. Arrived at 2:15 said we had to order in a hurry kitchen closed in 7 minutes....ordered, food was burned said the kitchen was already closed. Waitress super rude said she was tired and had a long day. At 3:30 was asked to leave by the manager because they had closed an hour ago. Maybe if you want to leave by 2:30 stop seating at 1:30 would be my suggestion. Told the waitress how sorry we were I was catching up with a friend and talking and gave her a 20$ tip on an 30$ bill and pointed that out and she again said she just really wanted to go home. FYI, if someone gives you a huge tip, maybe say "Thank you". Again, will not be returning. The mgmt and staff should maybe learn some manners. read more
