    Bacon in the water

Our server was very nice but not paying attention at all and the quality of the food was not good. They were out of everything and the server did not tell us. There was no avocado on the club sandwich and the server didn't say anything, there was a chunk of bacon floating in our water shown in the photo and we were on the waitlist for 45 minutes, and then got a text that if we didn't show up in 5 minutes we would be taken off. We got there immediately and then we're told we had to wait more and proceeded to wait for 20 more minutes. After we were done eating, we tried getting out servers attention several times and she continued to check all the other tables in our section except ours and her section was not even busy. Ultimately we waited for 30 minutes to get the servers attention just to get the check.

first time at this location, much bigger than cleveland! lots of seating, food was great as always and service was also good considering how busy it was on a monday!

The food here was good, healthy, and wholesome. We went here for Mother's Day and were given an estimated hour wait time for a table. We expected this, as brunch time on Mother's Day is usually very busy for any place. Everyone enjoyed their food - though I did wish the portions were bigger in my case. I informed staff of my dairy allergy and they were extremely kind in checking the bread for dairy and informing me. I did not have an allergic reaction to the food - and I am very pleased with that! It was also incredibly clear that our server - wish I had gotten their name - was very experienced as a server, and knew the menu thoroughly. This was great for us as we had never been there before. The interior seemed pretty hip and natural - lots of wood - but some subtle modern farmhouse themes. I will also add that the kale tonic was sweet and refreshing! I will be returning.

Salad, half veggie sandwich and a mimosa! All were excellent! Great portion sizes!

My absolute favorite breakfast in town! I got half of a veggie sandwich and half of a blue cheese salad. Absolutely everything was wonderful! I will definitely be going back and I highly recommend!

The food was about average for a breakfast spot. Prices were a bit higher than you'd expect for the amount of food and quality. The restaurant itself had a great environment and homey feel. They are only open during breakfast and lunch hours.

The service is great! Soon as you walk in you are greeted at the door by a smiling face! Our server was Rosie she's so polite and knowledgeable! Such a good time! The food was delicious everyone had clean plates! My daughter had granola bowl with yogurt and fruit! Food was fresh , bread tasted freshly baked ! Will be back! Also if you stop in try their freshly squeezed juices. We tried the seasonal juice tropical sunrise . Mango Pineapple Strawberry lime! service was speedy. On a Saturday morning there was no wait even though it was packed! This place runs like a well oiled machine!

Eggs Benedict. So delicious! I can't remember if I ordered off menu or just asked for Jan benefit with tomato and regular fixings

I wasn't aware that this is a chain, we don't have them where I'm from. We were in town for a wedding. Really enjoyed the experience! THE ATMOSPHERE: - it was a busy Saturday for brunch. We had put our names on a wait list and waited a bit, weather was nice so we hung out outside. -big tables. We were a party of 2 and got sat at a long booth. There were lots of table styles, looked like a good place to go if you have a large group since they have good tables. -really liked the decor. It was modern and served the brunch vibe well. THE FOOD: -learning it was a chain I was nervous about the food but I loved everything I got. -Big fan of eggs Benedict and it did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked eggs. Delicious. And the ham is thinly sliced. No other way to do it in my opinion! -the side greens were dressed a little bitter for my liking but that's likely personal preference. Overall the plate was very filling ! -at first I didn't want a coffee but my partner's smelled so good I couldn't resist. Tasty! -my partner got some sort of yogurt or oat bowl (not pictured--sorry!) that he liked -he has a huge sweet tooth and couldn't resist getting the cinnamon bun. I'm a fan of a classic cinnamon roll...chewy and fluffy with cream cheese icing. Overly sweet with extras like powdered sugar and caramel isn't my thing, so I opted not to try it--but he loved it!!! -we shared the breakfast potatoes. I was really in the mood for potatoes but hate onions. You can't order them without the onion but they are pick off-able for my fellow onion haters out there. THE SERVICE: -our waitress was clearly very seasoned. Great service while handling lots of tables -our waters and coffees were always full and she made sure to check in on us. Overall, I would definitely choose to go here again! If you're a Benedict lover make sure to try it!!

The notes about the atmosphere stand, and I will still enjoy weekday breakfast here, but I have put a big x over this location for Sunday both as a customer and as a delivery driver. This First Watch has a much different air quality feel than the Fairlawn location. It is a great effect! The food is fresh and quickly served and the breathable air makes me always want to order extra and eat slowly. That was my weekday breakfast review. As a DoorDash driver, I appreciate the well conceived pickup process-- usually. Today was awful. Bad Sunday management. A culture of fun for employees rather than customer service. The manager flat out told me "if you were to come back later, it'll probably be the same so.." I say "so stay home?" He says "that would be just fine with me." He had said they were horribly backed up. I had perked in the kitchen and it was packed with servers dancing and goofing. Fun, but not for the customer. The kitchen staff was watching the servers. It looks like bad management. Sad, for such a great restaurant!

Such a cute little farm to table place with amazing breakfast. Got sat down pretty quickly in a smaller booth. I got the turkey sausage and gravy, and the orange juice has PULP!!!! idk about u, but this makes all a difference to me. Pretty lively place with people in and out, and the smells that ur greeted with when u walk in assures u that u found a GREAT way to start ur morning :)

It has been on my list for ages but it isn't close to my house and the wait is always long! But in March 2026, my bf and I braved the wait so I can finally check this place out! Overall, it is clear why Blue Door is always packed - the food, while overpriced, is delicious and made by a team of talented chef and bakers! I'll say this was a 4.5 star experience. We were quoted a wait for about 45 minutes but we were seated after 30. The case of baked goods were enticing me the entire time but I resisted! Our waiter, Steven, was funny, helpful, and had a great personality. The place, obviously, was packed, with little room in between tables. We saw quite a few patrons order the incredibly indulgent horchata French toast ($24) and I don't think I witnessed anyone finish it! To start, I got a coffee from local coffee roasters, Angel Falls, for $3.50 and my boyfriend treated himself to a fancy hot chai $6.50. It was pretty good local coffee! I wanted to try their famous croissants so I ordered the croque madame croissant sandwich with breakfast potatoes ($21). The croque madame was incredible! The breakfast potatoes could have benefited from an interesting seasoning. My boyfriend wanted everything on the menu but decided on getting the "special menu" loaded baked potato breakfast burger with salt+vinegar brined house chips (aka fries) for $24. The potato inside was a large potato latke. This heavenly creation kept him full for hours. In the end, our bill was pretty pricey for a brunch but we enjoyed every bite. I'm not sure if I will be able to come here again since we got lucky with our wait, but they keep changing their menu and something might entice me so much, I'll endure any wait!

The chicken and sauce part of the chicken and waffles were amazing the corn beef hash dish was great. The waffles lacked real flavor and tasted odd. The coffee was great. Service was awesome but slow (took us 40 minutes to get our food). The restaurant is really cute looking and the pastry's look amazing but we only had the croissant which was great. The food was pretty expensive. We spent 70 bucks as a party of two. They definitely had large portions which is nice for the price however after moving here from Columbus, we've just had better for less for brunch/breakfast so that's why I needed to knock off a star. Still a good place but now where that we'd go to regularly because of the wait times and the price not making it feasible.

We grabbed menus near the entrance so we could pick what we wanted while waiting in line. When we ordered, there was a place to drop off the menus. On this inaugural visit, I requested the shrimp and grits, fresh orange juice, and beignets. We found a table for four and seated ourselves. The place was nearly full with one room cordoned off for only the busiest of times. While we waited, I visited the jam bar to get some butter. Soon, our food was delivered. The fresh squeezed orange juice was very tasty. I definitely enjoyed that. The portion sizes were good. I was afraid they might be small, given the price. The biscuits were large and good, but they are different than southern style biscuits. They can easily be cut with a fork, but also remain stable enough to eat with your fork after cutting. My shrimp was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. I think they put six medium-large shrimp in the dish. The grits were also not the typical southern style. They were creamy, but still very good. The dish was tasty and very satisfying. The beignets were delicious! They were served with whipped cream and fresh strawberries. Excellent! Our server was friendly and quick. Very good quality. Very good service. The only drawback here is the price. As we exited, the line was out the door.

It's less than a 10 minute drive from downtown Akron but it's off the beaten path. All locals (except me) in here. When I went (10AM Friday) the place was almost full, and I was dining alone, so I sat at the counter, happily next to the kitchen. To look at the kitchen was like looking inside a bee hive, bustling with activity but barely a sound. I could just make out what was being calmly stated "2 Silver Dollar, Salmon, Country Fried, 2 Over Easy..." It was fun to watch, but what was important was the output. It took just over 6 minutes from the time I order until it was sitting in front of me, and everything was perfect! The waitresses were so efficient. I saw my order hit the window and in about 12 seconds it was delivered. They were so customer focused, they were (jokingly) fighting over refilling my tea. When I was done and paid for I waited outside for Uber to pick me up (3 min). I looked back on what I'd just experienced, and snapped a picture of the two parking lots of cars for Fred's Diner. I counted and there were 32 cars at Fred's. OK maybe 10 were staff so 22 cars for customers, let's say on average there were 2 customers per car (remember I walked here so no car for me). By my calculation, Fred's was feeding 44 people every 30 minutes or so. No wonder they're only open 4 days a week and only for breakfast - lunch. I calculate they might serve 3200 meals in those 4 days, and then take 3 days off to get ready for the next week. I love this place. Wish I lived here so I could come more often.

I would have to say the best wings I've had, these really did stand out, and would say they are worth trying. They are a bit pricier than other places wings, but the flavor is there. What we really came here for was the burger, we've been trying every place that the Akron Beacon Journal did a tournament for to determine our own favorite, without nostalgia influencing our decisions. The burger was fantastic. The meat is seasoned well and the bread was soft and fluffy. The sauce tasted homemade and unique, but didn't take away from the burger.
