My first visit to First Watch, and I found it very disappointing. I ordered the traditional Eggs Benedict. I was given the choice of potatoes or "greens" on the side, and chose the latter. It turns out that "greens" is literally a pile of undressed lettuce. No vinaigrette, no dressing, nothing. Naked lettuce. Unfortunately my server went AWOL after dropping off the food, so I was half finished with the meal before I could ask another server to find her and bring something to put on the lettuce. The hollandaise sauce was pretty awful as well. I expect it to be made from a powder in this type of place, but this was strangely watery and with no real flavor of either egg or butter or lemon. Strange color also: yellowish brown(!) maybe I just ordered the wrong thing; some other plates I saw looked infinitely more appealing, but the service still needs a lot of work. read more

Great place for Brunch!!! Went with my best friend and decided to get the Farmhouse Hash and we both split an order of the Ricotta Pancakes. Have to say their Farmhouse Hash was AMAZING! Ricotta Pancakes lacked a bit of the fluffiness but that's probably because it's Multigrain. Either way really good place to go. I really wanted to like this restaurant. The menu has great selections, but the execution and the service was pretty poor. For starters, I had to ask twice for coffee and I never received a juice I ordered. The omelette I got was kind of okay, (and the only reason I gave two stars rather than one star) except for the fact that it was over-cooked and slightly burnt in a couple of spots. The salad that came with the omelette was undressed. It was just a pile of salad greens on the plate. It was topped with a slice of gluten free bread that I asked for instead of the regular bread. The gf bread was partially torn, not toasted, and no butter. It was literally just a dry piece of torn bread on a pile of plain salad greens. I don't understand how that happened. I had to ask for the butter and jam that the other person at my table got served with her omelette. Her omelette, however, was super watery and she also had a pile of undressed salad greens on her plate. Then, the juice that I ordered and never received showed up on my ticket, which was taken off when I told the waiter. All in all, this place was a big disappointment. read more

My husband have become regular weekend customers because of the great service, good & fresh food and the atmosphere. Our waitress knows the menu and often guides our choices, which is appreciated. If we ever have a problem, the wait staff and/or manager are quick to make it right. We have enjoyed coming to First Watch and highly recommend. read more

Great experience for lunch at First Watch this week. Some of our family tried it, and we all enjoyed our orders, I had half of grilled ham and cheese sandwich and sweet honey pecan salad. Proportions were ample...if you like a lot of dressing on your salad, please ask for extra dressing. Tried to have breakfast this morning and try a new place. Joined the waitlist in restaurant and was told wait would be 15-20 mins. Stood inside in eye sight of host stand as many others who were added to waitlist after me were called. After 20 mins of waiting asked how much longer and was told 15-20 mins. When I asked why they said "oh you're not in the waitlist but we can put you on there now" although I was told my name was put on the waitlist when I checked in. I called and Manager apologized. My husband and I have been to First Watch twice. Our first visit wasn't the best, and we received a personal note of apology from the store manager along with a gift certificate, which we appreciated very much. Our second visit was this past Saturday, and everything was excellent. Our waitress delivered our hot pot of decaffeinated coffee right away. I ordered something called, "Hacienda Hash": chorizo, cheese, peppers and potatoes topped with basted eggs: it was beautiful as well as beautifully spiced, the perfect temperature and delicious. My husband had the seasonal cinnamon chip pancakes, with pork sausage and over-easy eggs: his too was absolutely delicious. First Watch won us over on our second visit: we will definitely be back! read more

I came here for a yelp event and it exceeded my expectations! First time at FirstWatch and I was so impressed by the freshness of their food. Every single person from the staff made us feel so welcomed and they truly showed they were happy to have us there. The 4 course menu was on point, my two favorite were the avocado toast; you could tell the avocado was so fresh and the lime and EVOO just complimented it perfectly and next the Elote Mexican street corn hash! Definitely something I would go back for, all the flavors of the ingredients like the potato, chorizo and corn were the perfect combination for that dish and to top it off the avocado and chipotle sauce yummm! Pancakes were unique as well, the lemon curd made them so original. I wish I could've taken a hibiscus limeade with me, they were so refreshing, perfect for this insane burning hot weather! Million Dollar Bacon was a hit for many but I thought it was a little too sweet! Ham and Gruyere was also yummy, had a little too much dijonnaise to my liking but it was ok! We love First Watch! The food is always delicious and the staff is so nice. We always request Galina's area- she is always very friendly and provides efficient service. We especially love breakfast, and tried the lemon blueberry quinoa pancakes today which were amazing. The atmosphere is modern with some industrial feels. A good take on a classic diner. Prices are on par with other breakfast spots. The wait staff is kind; however, if it's crowded don't expect the most attentive service. I would suggest their season menu choices as it helps keep your palette adventurous. Good black drip coffee. Went to First Watch today for the first time. First off everyone seems very friendly then it took a turn. The roast beef sandwich was very good, the soup my waiter recommended was awful. It tasted like instant soup you mix from a packet with no flavor. He also never checked on us or asked how our food was. Had to flag someone down to get more drinks. Seriously had to wave our arms to get someone to come to the table. It was almost as if they gave up. The lightly dressed field greens had no dressing on them. They literally gave us plain spring mix. Maybe it was an off day for lunch for them, but I won't ever return to this place again. It is important to make a good first impression. When we told the checkout guy we had a bad experience he was going to go get someone, we just told him not to because we didn't want to have to wait any longer than we already had. Wait is looooooong but it is worth it. Food is great. Staff are the friendliest I have seen in a long time. An elderly lady was waiting solo. She had physical handicaps. The cashier/manager(?) came over to check on her during her wait. The hostess physically assisted the older lady to her table. Wow. Just wow! I thinking I shouldn't give them even a start. We have a big party and I called before we get there making sure they have table for us. They said they are fine and there is no wait. Then take us 15 minuets to get there. They told us we have to wait by the time we get there. That is fine as well. But keep full in people without saving us tables at all . There is no way they can save us enough table at all.... then they told us we have to wait an other 20 minuets. We have all the kids with us and standing there and wait .... however they have good food or not.... not even want to try at all.... bad service.... they are so mean .... maybe to us ( Asian ) only ..... don't go there .... read more

My son,is Down Syndrome. He was being honoured at this walk, and we needed to get to Fair Park on time...Nov4, 2018 . I went on the app., but there was no waitlist at 8am. I called and told them this was a tradition to eat breakfast with family, then do the Buddy Walk. Whoever I spoke to said he would MAKE SURE there would be a table ready for 9 of Us at 10:45am....we get there at 10:30am and the manager there at the front says.. it's an hour and a half wait... I was shocked, and explained that I talked to someone there that assured me that our table would be ready.... he said you talked to a server, not a manager. My point is, he could of CARED less, and had a nasty attitude from the start..(.AS HE HS HAD before when I dropped in for breakfast) he told me the wait was an hour and a half, to take it or leave it.( jerk)... I will never go back there again. Everything from the App., to get on the waitlist was totally misleading.!!!!! read more

Been here a number of times, today it was bad on many levels. The service was slow and odd. My eggs were served separately from the rest of my meal. Overall okay, but could be much better if they really cared about the customer. When my family and I entered, there was no one else waiting. But the hostess didn't even look up at us -- she spent 2 minutes or so re-organizing her menus while we stood there. When she did acknowledge us, there was no smile or hello, she just took us to our table. Food presented very well, but there were a few things that could have been better. First, they intentionally changed my wife's order without telling her. When we said it didn't look like the vegetable soup she ordered, they said they were out of the soup, so they substituted something else. Who does that without getting approval first? We sent it back. Second, I asked if I could have a small pancake instead of the blueberry muffin that was supposed to come with my oatmeal. Seemed like a small thing to ask, and one that would actually save money for the restaurant. But they said they wouldn't do it unless I ordered (and paid for) a stack of pancakes as a separate dish. So clearly they don't care that much about making me happy. Thus, I'll probably take my family somewhere else next time. read more

Second visit, not sure how organized the checkin was, we got on a wait list and then watched as one party after another sailed in thru the NoWait app, even those that checked in after we did, so the wait was irksome. I complained to the manager after 40 minutes and then magically got seated. The food is good, but kitchen was sloooow to deliver. I had the Avacado toast with egg and it was a bit soggy and eggs seemed pre cooked. OJ was good, and good coffee. Server was great. Strongly recommend in the future use the No Wait app before you show up, only way to beat the wait. read more

The service and the food are both amazing. Never ever have a bad experience here. Even when there's a ton of people waiting outside, everyone is seated quickly and efficiently. Everything on the menu tastes wonderful and I've never had a server that wasn't wonderful. I myself am in customer service so I tend to be more critical of the service I receive but I've always been very pleased here. Definitely 5 stars!! read more
