So disappointed, have been eating here for years, but has really been slipping lately. Today was the worst yet, our waiter was new and completely clueless. He started by taking 15 min to come by table. He then took our order and got it completely wrong, which took 45 min to get. We couldn't find him for another 10 min and finally got another waiter to help. He later walked over and asked if everything was ok, gee I don't know, 2 of 3 of us did t have food because it was wrong but sure we enjoy hanging out. 20 min later our replacement food comes out. Still wrong, how hard is French toast? We never saw him again, had to go into the kitchen to track him down so we could get our check. Told the manager on way out and he couldn't have cared less. It starts at the top, a lazy manager can sink any restaurant. Sad to see one of our favorite places going down hill so fast. Oh well, there are so many choices in Dallas that it will be easy to find a replacement. read more

I have been to first watch three times in the last two weeks and I've been pleased with each visit. The food and service were on point. My first meal was the elevated egg Sandwich. I've never had avocado on my egg sandwich, but it gave the sandwich a creamy yummy texture. Great flavor!! The last two times I had the avocado toast with basted eggs. This dish is MY FAV! It is so simple, yet incredibly rich...I could eat it EVERY day! The millionaire bacon is ridiculous! Bacon with maple syrup, black and cayenne pepper...how can you go wrong?! YUM! The eggs Benedict was not runny, it was completely hard boiled - served on saltless greens and over a super toasted sourdough bread. From the food to the service, First Watch is the best breakfast/brunch place to go! What I like about First Watch is how they use healthier ingredients substituted in our usual breakfast foods. The taste is just as great if not, better! My personal favorite is the Trifecta with the Belgian waffle, eggs, and sausage. But their omelettes, power bowls, and avocado toast are just as amazing!! I have been to other First Watch location north of town and can distinguish the difference in customer service. The restaurant is small compared to the others. This is why I gave the restaurant a rating of 4. I had the steak hash off of their special menu which was good, healthy and perfect proportion for me. I went there hungry and did not leave unsatisfied. Also ordered the million dollar bacon strips which won me over. Quality coffee and selections of creamers. I use to work at this location, so I came back to eat with my boyfriend because he's never been. The food was good. But our service was terrible. Our server Alejandra or Allie for short. Took forever to greet our table and it wasn't busy. And when she did come she didn't even state her name I only knew it because her name was on our recipient. But we gave her our first order for drinks and there million dollar bacon. She got that correct and then we moved on to give our food order. She brought the food out and had got my order wrong. But it took her forever to check and see if we even enjoyed the food so I sat for lik 10 minutes trying to get her attention to the point I had to ask another server to get her for me. And I told her that my food was incorrect and she did get it corrected but at that point I didn't want to eat it anymore so I just took it to go. Also our dirty plates sat on the table for the longest. She never asked if we wanted refills. And then I had to remind her to get to go boxes. There were little things that could have made the experience better. I'm a server myself so I know good service when I see it and it wasn't that great. Won't be back at this location. read more

I took my kids on Sunday July 29, 2019 and we were seated after 15 minutes. Waitress was so happy to be there. We ordered and then after 30 minutes asked where our order was. Another 5 minutes goes by and I asked the manager where our food was. He came back and said that it was going to be another 17 minutes and we weren't waiting 30 minutes, argued with me in front of my kids. We politely excused ourselves and left. Will never go there again and will let others know as well. It's a shame since we live down the street. read more

Food was good. I had the turkey gravy and biscuit with egg and potatoes. Was cooked just right. Giving the food 4 stars. Giving the service 2 stars. Waitress was nice but quite inattentive. We waited for at least 10 minutes for coffee when there were only about 8 patrons. Plenty of staff to go around. Once food arrived, waitress sat at a table slightly out of sight and played on her phone. I needed water but she was too busy to come around and ask how we were doing. Management needs to tend to this. Will be a while before I go back to this location. read more

Great place for vegetarians! I had the veggie sandwich and it was super yummy! Amazing whole grain bread! Most of the entrees seemed healthy. Of course you can make a healthy salad not so healthy by adding bacon and glazed pecans but you can ask for substitutions and they are very accommodating. Price was reasonable- about $7.50 for half a sandwich and salad. Nice atmosphere- "farm chic" vibe. Staff was attentive, friendly and diverse. My husband and I LOVE this place. So much we went 4 days in a row for breakfast! I've had the cinnamon chip pancake- which was AMAZING and the tacos on flour tortillas- also amazing. My husband had the skillet hash farmhouse and he loves it! And according to my sister the avocado toast is great!! The only reason I gave it a 4 star was because, like other people have mentioned, the coffee is too acidic. If only they brewed better coffee, it would be perfect! None the less, it's a great place to have breakfast. It does get pretty busy on weekends which takes longer for them to bring out your food. So I'd plan on going during the week. read more

We've been twice and the first time was great. The food is delicious. However, when we arrived the 2nd Time, we were told a 15-20 min wait, which ended up more like 30 minutes. Then once at the table, the wait for the food was another 30 minutes and only part of the order came out. While the food is good, the wait is awful. If you plan to go there with anything larger than a party of two be prepared to be frustrated. We were told the wait was 45 minutes for a party of 3, after 50 minutes of waiting we just sat at the community table so we could eat. We watched party of 2 sat at tables meant for 4 people because they checked in on yelp. Eventually the community table was cleaned for us, but we had to get our own silverware. The banana pancake was filled with granola and bananas and the pumpkin pancake wasn't just flavored with pumpkin spice- it had pumpkin in it! My husband had the scramble and it was really tasty. We also shared an order of biscuits with turkey gravy, which was so good! The biscuits were really good and the gravy was lighter than most and so tasty. Literally everything we ate was delicious! People with a larger group who checked in on App were seated before us even though we had checked in earlier. I was then lied to when I said the larger group jumped in front of us.
