    Steak and Frites

My wife and I visited here for dinner, we had reservations and were seated within 5 minutes. Our waitress Liss was really friendly and very eager to assist us and explain the menu. It took us over an hour to receive our meals, but Luz kept us informed ans kept apologizing for the kitchen. Once we receive our food it was cooked to perfection and was very good. The steak was very tender and we loved the crispy fries. The second serving was much much faster and very good also. The manager Brian was allowed very helpful when our waitress was busy. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced.

First time trying Medium Rare's prix fixe $35 brunch menu. Would advise you to make reservations on the weekends, they were not taking any walk-in's when I came around 2pm. Even the owner was helping cleaning tables and taking orders. They had a few tables open but appeared to be very short staffed. Also AC inside wasn't apparently working. They had the fans going but it was still very warm inside. Bottomless mimosas, bloody mary's and screw drivers come with it. Which is a plus! The drinks were good. You're able to pick from 5 entree choices which includes an appetizer. I decided to do the steak and eggs which also came with french fries. The meal itself was good but the items came out cold unfortunately. Our server was very nice but it took her a while to come back to the table. I'm not sure if I would be back.

I have eaten at Medium Rare when I worked in DC, and enjoyed it. So when I learned my home town of Dallas was getting a restaurant, I was pretty happy about it. All you can eat steak and frites, sounds great, right? I received the same experience and quality at this restaurant as I did in DC, and that makes me happy! We came later in the evening so it wasn't crowded, and that was nice. Our waitress was very good, and kept our drinks filled the whole time, and more steak and frites came out right on time, just as we finished our last bites from our first course. The only complaint I have, and it might seem silly to some, but the music was SO loud and I felt like I was at a club. Now, I don't expect classical music, or even easy listening music. But the volume could have have been lowered just a hit so we didn't strain our voices trying to have a conversation.

HONESTLY for $31.95 it's not bad. I did make a reservation beforehand even though it wasn't that busy inside. We started off with some bread and butter and it was actually really good. The salad was good too. The fries on the steak frites were good and I liked the gravy sauce too. I ordered medium rare and it definitely looked medium rare but it was actually kind of chewy and tough. Despite the way it looks, the meat quality isn't that good. BUT for the price and the fact that you get two plates of the steak frites, it's not a bad deal. Service was ok. Restaurant itself is cute and lower Greenville is always a cute place to hangout with friends. I would only come back if my friends wanted to go try

Key lime pie. Very. Very tart.

I really wish I could rate this place higher, because our server and the manager were kind. However, I felt the food was similar to what you'd expect at a diner. For $31.95, you get 2 servings of steak and frites. We ordered the key lime pie, based on the server's recommendation. She said it was made in-house daily. Unfortunately the pie was just too tart.

The food was so good! The steak sauce is amazing! Originally I had got it on the side but by the end of my meal I had dumped it over the whole plate. The host was very attentive and kept coming to the table to check if we needed anything else. The place is set up very beautiful. I will definitely stop by the next time I'm in Dallas.

First time here... did not know what to expect. Greeted and had the experience explained and then a walk through of the menu. Knowledgeable server that took into consideration a health concern. Chose the salad with Dijon - which was amazing. The steak and eggs with the sauce- so good. The Benedict - with the mushroom was great. French toast looked great and was super rich. The sausage was okay - not bad, just not my fave. Great for a prix fixe option with delicious food and amazing service.

If you're looking for a nice patio, good good and even better service, you're at the right spot! Made reservations and we were seated immediately. It was such a beautiful day that we sat outside. Our server Ray, was phenomenal. He explained the menu - yes $35 bottomless mimosas (or bloody Mary's and screw drivers) include your appetizer and dessert. He made sure we were good, drinks and service wise. I don't get pics of the food because I was too busy drinking but here's my ratings. Mimosa: 10/10 perfect balance and appreciate that you can also do cranberry. That might've been my fav over the orange juice. Fruit salad: 7/10 nothing fancy but the fruit is cut fresh - so they say and comes in a cute glass. Steak frites: 7/10 the fries weren't my fave, they were shoestring ish, but they were okay. The eggs are premade so can't get them your way. Steak was cooked to my liking. Overall, I'd recommend and next time I'm going to try the French toast because it looked amazing!

Our server Olivia was kind, and there was plenty of space inside and outside so no reservation is needed even on the weekend. However, the steak was not tasty at all.

Medium rare made me feel like I was in Paris @ Relais de l'Entrecôte except the staff was much friendlier lol! Our server was Miguel and he was so attentive. Steak & Frites was spectacular. I made reservations for a Thursday night to catch up with a friend. If there was one thing I'd change, I'd suggest a different playlist. I felt the music playing didn't really match the vibe of the restaurant. Regardless, I am definitely going back. I have some family and friends coming in from out of town and this is where we'll be going! I anticipate my second visit to be just as delicious as the first!

Love love loved the brunch here! Bottomless mimosas and steak frites for $35?? Literally unbeatable. We had a reservation for 2:30pm on a Saturday and weren't seated until about 3:30-3:45pm which was pretty frustrating, but once we were seated things flowed pretty quickly and our server did everything he could to ensure we had a positive experience from there on out. The vibe in here was great, they had good music playing and i saw a lot of conversing between tables which was nice. I will definitely be back here again soon!

A little disappointed in the food. The idea of having a set menu is nice since you don't need to decide on anything but the steak is really just mediocre.

We went to the Saturday brunch at Medium Rare and had a great time. The menu is pretty simple with only a couple of options for a fixed price. The atmosphere inside was fun and great for a brunch. It wasn't too crowded either which was surprising but nice. Service was overall friendly but did write down one of our orders wrong. The bread that came with the meal was well made and the salad was also solid. The steak frites that they are known for were delicious. They were cooked to a great point of not being too chewy/tough. The sauce was great and the fries were crisped well. Overall, I definitely would come back here and enjoyed our experience especially for the cost.

Is it really all you can eat?

Definitely NO. When you walk in, they tell you that you can only have one refill. Please be aware 2 plates is equal to one plate everywhere else, so you are basically getting one portion

Our event coordinator had already been in contact with each hotel's sales team regarding room blocks, but my fiancé and I wanted to personally see the properties before recommending them to 30-40 hotel room blocks. Although we arrived after sales office hours, Liz at the front desk was exceptionally kind. She walked us through the restaurants commonly used for private events, explained the renovation timeline, and invited us to take our time exploring before returning to the front desk to view a standard guest room. Unfortunately, our experience changed when another employee, who later identified himself as Clayton, a manager, stepped in. It appeared he had been listening to our conversation but had not introduced himself. He abruptly informed us that we would not be able to view a room. We explained that our event coordinator was already working with the sales manager regarding room blocks and pricing, and that we were simply trying to ensure we felt confident recommending the hotel to our family and friends. Despite understanding the situation, he remained unwilling to accommodate the request. His only suggestion was that we purchase a room if we wanted to see one. For us, this interaction spoke volumes. Hospitality isn't just about beautiful rooms--it's about making potential guests feel welcomed and valued. If this was the experience we received as prospective clients considering multiple wedding events and dozens of room nights, it gave us pause about what our guests might experience. As a result, we will likely to move our room block, welcome dinner, Saturday event, and Sunday brunch where we're met with warmth, flexibility, and genuine hospitality from the moment we arrive. The Joule is undeniably a beautiful property, but customer service plays a major role in our decision-making. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling that our business was neither appreciated nor wanted.
