If you are looking for aesthetically pleasing and healthy plates this is definitely the place for you. It was so welcoming and clean, and the items they offer are definitely towards the hipster side. kale tonics, avocado toast, acai bowls, things like that. Food was delicious and portions were adequate, prices were a little high but not too bad. The service was good but food was extremely slow as it came out about 35 min after we ordered. (however I did come on a friday morning) This will definitely be my new brunch spot. read more

If you are the type of person who enjoys stuffing their face with a bunch of sugary sweets in the morning because you can get away with calling it breakfast, First Watch might take a second to impress you and the only reason that I'm saying this is because I'm one of those people. Rather than giving you countless options on how to stuff your french toast or some form of cake flavored pancake they present you with a menu filled with items made with wholesome ingredients that also taste amazing! I chose to rate this location though because of it's stellar service. The waiting staff in my opinion are consistent with their excellent service. Had a late breakfast with the family after church today. Waitress Lori took our drink order and seemed very nice. She proceeded to bring my 13 yr old son a baby cup for his orange juice. I politely asked her if he could have an adult sized beverage. She walked away in total disgust and make a rude face at me behind my back of which my wife witnessed. I am sorry but my 13 yr old doesn't need baby Bottle and waitresses should know a 13 yr old from a toddler. Asking if he would like child or adult size would have been fine, but just delivering a toddlers cup to a young adult is disrespectful. read more

This isn't our usual Sunday breakfast spot, but our regular place had extremely long wait times, so decided to give FW a shot based on YELP reviews. I'm a avid YELPer and anything over 4 stars is/has always been legit. The place uses nowait(add your self to the list through YELP or their app) which is extremely convenient. We walked in, checked with the host (who promptly greeted us with a smile) and we were seated within 5 minutes. Interior is modern rustic and very inviting. Plenty of seating and really cool comfortable booths. Our server greeted us within a couple minutes and we had drinks and orders placed. They limited the menu on Fathers Day with only menu favs in effort to keep the kitchen from getting backed up. I thought this was a genius idea and ensured speedy service. I had the Trifecta (eggs, meat and pancake), she had the avocado toast. Both were great and meet expectations. Also, we were informed that if there was a regular menu item we wanted, they'd be happy to accommodate. Out of the gate, 5 stars from me (check all the boxes, service, decor and food). Consistency is key in my book, and I have no doubt FW will deliver each time. read more

Amazing spot, unique food, clean environment. What more can you ask for? My daughter and I came here on a brunch date and it was the best. She said it reminded her of a brunch place we went to in Colorado. I assume the decor and healthier food gave her those vibes. I highly suggest the chicken omelet with one of their smoothie drinks. Went on a Saturday morning with some friends and our kids. The restaurant is always busy and every time we go there's a wait so don't go if you're already starving. But I've always enjoyed coming because they change up their seasonal menu and the service is always friendly and courteous. The restaurant is not that big but decorated nicely and clean. There was a large picture of the ancient grains bowl from the seasonal menu when we entered the restaurant that day. We had come from working out so it was a tempting option. It looked delicious on the picture. My girlfriends all ordered the ancient grains bowl. My daughter ordered the eggs Benedict and I ordered the chicken chimichurri hash. The girlfriends said their bowls tasted very "healthy". My daughter loved her eggs Benedict. My chimichurri hash was delicious. I'm so glad I didn't decide to be healthy that day. But that's what I like about the restaurant there's options for my friends who are always on a diet and options for people like me who love to eat. read more

I'm lying in bed recovering from eating there for brunch today. I have the worst abdominal cramps ever. First time experience first time experience and we tried using the yelp waitlist and had no idea that there were multiple first watch restaurants throughout Fort Worth/Dallas so I inadvertently had us on the waitlist for the location in "Alliance" but we drove to the one here. They're only 3 miles apart so it's very easy to confuse them on yelp. Anyhoo, We went ahead and waited here and it was about a 15 minute wait at about noon on a Sunday so we went next-door to Academy to kill some time. After being seated we had to wait about 5-7 minutes for someone to come and we had a male server who took our drink order and we ordered the million dollar bacon and the carrot cake pancake, the banana crunch pancake, and the pumpkin pancake special. The music in there is pretty loud so it's hard to hear if you're sensitive to stuff like that. We ordered the pot of coffee and it took about 20 minutes before we got the bacon and it was OK but not worth I think the eight dollars they charged us for it. It was an hour from the time we sat down before we got our brunch. And honestly there was nothing special about the food. I had to send back my carrot cake pancake because it was literally raw shredded carrots and raisins and a bland pancake. It tasted nothing like carrot cake. The banana pancake with oatmeal crunch was OK but it was burnt on the bottom but I was so hungry I ate it anyway. I ended up taking an extra banana pancake home for my daughter to replace the terrible bland carrot cake pancake. I asked for sugar-free syrup and the server said," well, it's a good thing that's what you wanted because that's all we have available right now." It was definitely packed and I don't understand why the food is just mediocre. I've had better pancakes in Wylie Texas. My husband didn't really care for his scrambled eggs and his pumpkin pancake was so bland. We tried the pork sausage and it was OK but again nothing to slap my saddle over. Definitely will not go back here it's just way too expensive and truly not unique or delicious food. And it took so much time, we didn't have time to go explore downtown Fort Worth like we'd hoped. Save yourself the trouble and go eat somewhere else unless you enjoy waiting a really long time for expensive , bland, trendy food. I would like to recommend that your chef go to the country club Café in Wylie, Texas and eat those pancakes and learn how to make flavorful ones. This place is consistently good, and is the best breakfast/brunch in the area that I've tried. It has high-quality ingredients that are put together creatively and well. I love their Chickchanga. It's a must try. The breakfast tacos are also good, and the Millionaire's bacon is a fun treat. The coffee is wonderful, and you can buy it by the pound at checkout. Service is always friendly, and I've only had to wait one of the times I've been. The lunch is fine, nothing spectacular but it's solid. Stick to the breakfast menu for the good stuff. read more

Such a lovely experience! Me and my gf came here for brunch yesterday, we've heard some good things about this place. Our waiters name was Nathan, he was so hilarious and laid back! Wonderful server. At the end of our meal he brought us our tabs and said "And now, for dessert. It might leave a bitter taste in your mouth, but it's high in fiber." HAH! Good one. We will definitely be back, and definitely request you. Okay so before I forget to mention the food- I ordered freshly squeezed orange juice and chocolate chip pancakes. The OJ was great, not super pulpy, and not loaded with seeds. Alright, now the pancakes. Pretty grainy for me, very thick... I had to practically use the entire bottle of syrup just to make the actual pancake moist. Probably won't order that again. Overall I'd say it was 100% and we will certainly be back. read more

Nice hidden gem right next to academy. Very robust menu with plenty of choices! Tried the works omelet and it was pretty good. Asked for no mushrooms but still received my food with mushrooms but that didn't stop me from eating it. It came with a salad or potatoes and I choose potatoes. By far my favorite thing on the dish. Nicely soft but firm with not too much seasoning. Came with whole grain bread with butter and jelly which was nice addition to the plate. Four stars because this restaurant is a great place for brunch. Will come back again to try another entree that I'll hopefully love. read more

I'm all about second chances especially when it comes to healthy and fresh food. I'm glad that it was "just a bad day at the office" in regards to the service I experienced previously. The service the following trip and thereafter have been excellent. The food as always is amazing, and there is an app which allows check in which I definitely recommend. I did receive a cup with lipstick upon arrival, which was corrected when brought to the attention of the waitress. Amazing food and much better service. Kudos!!! Recently experienced the WORST wait & customer service ever. This restaurant closes at 2:30. I arrive at 1:30, am seated and handed a menu. Well my order was taken within five minutes of me sitting down, and I was served coffee so this is looking very promising. The waiter took my order promptly and THE WAIT begins. I waited, waited a bit more, more, and couldn't wait another minute due to time constraints. After waiting for exactly 39 minutes I walked to the counter. I explain to the receptionist that I would simply like to pay for my coffee, and that it took a little too long to be served one plate of food. She asked if it was the waiter, to which I replied... no 30 minutes is just too long to wait for one plate of food. Instead of being empathetic and getting a manager, she took the payment for coffee AND I took to yelp. Waiting for a manager on Good Friday WITH an empty stomach is not my idea of a GOOD FRIDAY. I must to now find something to eat. Highly disappointed. PS Nearly all of the tables were emptying, so no- the chef couldn't have been in overload mode. read more

We are breakfast people, so we haven eaten at other First Watch locations before and happen to be in the area and we had to stop in. We were probably the second set of people that stop in this morning, so the place was nice and quiet. By all mean the service was not sluggish or were we greeted with half-awake staff. The hostess was courteous and very informative. She double as our waitress this morning and was very knowledgeable of the menu. The food was on point. The quality of the dishes were definitely fresh and presentation was well thought out. I had the Healthy Turkey Omelette, packed full of cubes of turkey, fresh spinach and cheese. My wife had the Traditional Breakfast, but in my opinion this was not your thrown together, slap some eggs and bacon on it. This was very well lay out, eggs cooked perfectly over easy, thick crispy slices of bacon and the hash potatoes were soft but crispy on the outside - I was very impressed that a simple dish was so thoughtfully made. First Watch definitely take bride and quality into consideration of making their dishes regardless of which location- keep up the great work! read more

This was my 2nd time visiting a First Watch restaurant. The first time was in Destin and I had the half Monterrey Club sandwich and a cup of a season squash soup. It was really delicious. My 2nd visit was to the one in Keller. I ordered the biscuits with turkey sausage gravy. I was so disappointed. The gravy is like a gravy you would put on mashed potatoes at thanksgiving and my biscut was cold under the gravy, which was odd. The potatoes didn't even have flavor either. My son ordered the 2 eggs, potatoes and Turkey sausage. His sausages were so dry that they almost seemed powdery lol We are not a fan of their breakfast foods. My husband and I came to First Watch looking for some healthy grub. First step inside revealed a pop-up banner by the cashier's stand that had some pictures of their new items, one of which was a barbacoa Benedict that looked and sounded amazing. We were seated promptly and waited a few minutes before we were greeted by a friendly female server. Another few minutes later, we learned that she was, in fact, not our server. A guy named Matt was. He was friendly, but always seemed to be in a rush, so much so that he didn't ask us if we'd like anything else after we'd almost finished our entrees. He just dropped the check off and went to attend to something else. It would have been nice if I could've ordered a waffle or French toast. Anyway, I ordered the avocado toast, which had plenty of avocado and came with two eggs, and a side of turkey sausage. I enjoyed my meal, but if I return, I will ask for no lemon on the avocado. It makes it too tart for my taste. I also asked for a half order of their tomato basil soup. The server said it was pretty good. However, it was not. My husband thought it tasted like spaghetti sauce. I simply thought there was not enough flavor. Regardless, we asked the server to take it away, and he was friendly about it. My husband had the barbacoa benedict, and although it sounded amazing, it was really nothing special. The bread was a bit hard, there was not enough barbacoa, and the eggs were not even poached correctly. No yolk seeped out. The insides resembled a badly boiled egg. Needless to say, the dish was not worth the price tag. Upon paying for the meal, I noticed that I'd received the wrong change. I'd been shorted four dollars. Now, while that in itself wasn't a deal breaker for me, together, with the subpar experience was. At this time, I don't foresee myself returning. I like the idea of fresh squeezed juices and healthy options I don't find elsewhere, but based on the experience, I'd rather just make it myself. read more

This Sunday was our first time to eat at First Watch and it was delicious. We went based on the Yelp recommendations and were not disappointed. The decor was very welcoming and the tables were not crowded at all. We ordered the Inspired Italian omelet and the Steel-Cut Oatmeal. The omelet was a large portion and the ingredients tasted so fresh. Same for the oatmeal. The fresh fruit and pecans were a great touch. Two hours of misery. We had horrible service, had to remind our server that we hadn't received our food and when she came back with it, it was all cold. It was clear that it had been sitting back there for a while. I understand that times are hard on restaurants right now, but when your food comes out barely room temp and your pancakes are crisp like cookies there's something wrong. I believe it's everything to do with management. Walking in and listening to him explain to another customer that he wasn't going to dig in the trash (paper bin) for a customers proof of void receipt should have been a sign to turn around. I voiced my complaint to our waitress because it was just beyond ridiculous. And we were comped our meal. Which I felt was right on their part, because it definitely wasn't worth a penny. I won't go back to this location in the future. I've been here several times and more often than not, the experience has not been pleasant. read more
