Ham & Gruyere Melt with potato's.

Visiting our daughter and son-in-law in Hampton and wanted brunch before heading out of town. First Watch is consistently a good choice! Breakfast snd sandwich choices. Great Holiday menu with drinks too! We got the Trifecta and the Ham & Gruyère melt. A mimosa and a coke to boot! All Yummo!! The service was super friendly and it carries a modern crunchy vibe. Festive for the Holidays! We even heard a very loud rendition of Happy Birthday to the General Manager! We thoroughly enjoyed!

Our server was amazing (Mar - not sure on the spelling)! She answered questions, asked questions for clarity to ensure we got exactly what we ordered. The food was food as always. I had the holiday special - Double Bacon Parmesan hash. I wish I had more cream sauce and the potatoes were not as soft as at other locations. Nonetheless, it was good and I'll order it again!! They have a decent amount of tables. I like how they decorated the photos as gifts in the holiday season. I'll be back!

My favorite breakfast place. Service is always awesome. Restaurant and the bathrooms are always clean. Also the little stickers they give out randomly are adorable.

Breakfast with a smile. Your more upscale breakfast place in town. We are glad we got a chance to stop in and check out the place.

We were seated right away, at the last hour of the days business, with almost a full house. Quick and friendly service. Food was served fast and hot and fresh. A pretty busy place with lots of staff, good to see. Cute decor and clean.

The Traditional. Two over medium eggs, turkey sausage and potato's.

Well as most of my followers know I'm not a fan of chain restaurants but I've always liked the First Watch locations I've visited and the Hampton location is no different. Today the wifey and I both got the Traditional. Both with 2 eggs over medium, turkey sausage and potato's. As for the meal - it was very good and hit the spot. Let's talk about service because that's what really shined today. Our server - Zachary (Zac) was absolutely great. I mean this fella greeted us at the door and sat us down. 2-3 minutes later he was collecting our order. Within maybe another 3 minutes we had our drinks and maybe 8 minutes later we had our meals. Zac checked on us several times and kept our drinks full. He was outstanding. Now here is another kicker. During our meal another person (lady) didn't catch her name, I'm assuming a manager, came to our table and the tables around and made sure our meal and time there was good. That was a very unusual service and I noticed how rare that was. So basically a real descent meal with outstanding service. As for the location. It's in a strip mall and had plenty of parking. The restaurant appeared well cared for and clean. We didn't use the restrooms which is often a real tell of a location. So listen if you're hungry, go ahead and give this place a try. I don't believe you'll be disappointed.

I really liked this place! I visited my daughter and we stopped for breakfast and were so impressed! Clean restaurant, friendly staff, and really good food. You gotta try them!

Use the app online to check in faster before arriving! I live First Watch! It's me go to whenever I have time to brunch on the weekend. We went this time to use a gift card we received. I loved the new drink they had, the hibiscus punch. Very refreshing! I was also super excited about my favorite pancake, cinnamon chip. However, it was a little burned. I know the chips make it a different texture, but I didn't eat over half of it because it just was too hard. It was very disappointing. My husband enjoyed his burrito and the rest of my breakfast was delish. 4 STARS! I know I'll be back and this was a fluke. I still love First Watch!

Jennifer was amazing. Super dope server who was hilarious. My first time at this location. My food was so good. Service was top notch. I chose the turkey bacon sandwich but subbed for the million dollar bacon. Great choice. We'll be back STAT!

Although first watch is a chain, we found ourselves feeling well taken care of and the food was delicious and fresh. Our server was great, very sweet and attentive. I got one of the "hash" breakfast dishes while my husband got one of their seasonal items - the carnitas quesadilla. Both were yummy!

Ask the Community - First Watch

Are customers available to make reservations?

You can reserve seating ahead of time (same day) with their app or on yelp, then you have 15-20 mins to check into the restaurant.

Does first watch serve alcoholic beverages? Mimosas, sangria, etc?

I don't know why so many people said no to this, they have several alcoholic beverage options. They're listed under the juice choices on the drink menu! They usually have some seasonal options as well that they have on the big chalkboard.

I only have two negative comments: 1) I asked for cheese and eggs and they just put the cheese on top of the eggs instead of cooking it together, and 2) I ordered biscuits and they were hard as hockey pucks. I asked the waitress about it and she said different cooks make them different ways so I ordered toast. I have had their biscuits many times before and they were delicious. Whoever the cook was on biscuit duty that day needs to not be chosen for that duty in the future. Overall, my experience was great as usual. All cash business, no credit. I was prepared!

I ordered chicken wings, and when they were served, I noticed visible blood on the bone and meat, suggesting they were either undercooked or not properly handled. This raises serious food safety concerns, especially in light of the earlier refrigeration issue. Shortly after eating, I began experiencing stomach discomfort, which made the situation even more alarming. Food safety is a basic expectation when dining out, and this experience fell well below acceptable standards. I hope management takes immediate steps to address both food handling practices and transparency with customers to prevent this from happening again.

You can have the biscuit just the way it is, or put the apple compote on top, and finish it off with the streusel topping and it really is a great mesh of all flavors! The fried green tomatoes were my favorite! You have to put all the ingredients together... the salad, the sauce and the tomato. There was so much flavor! The berry french toast was my favorite sweet treat of all the things I tried. The gumbo was packed full of shrimp, meat, okra and more. The temperature was cool not as hot as I would have liked. But, that's nothing hard. The place does not lack flavor one bit. Our waitress Shana handled our table of 8 with ease. She was on it. There were other food runners helping out as well. If I say please give us some time to chat then come back in 15 minutes, THEN do that. My eggs and grits bowl was good and the turkey sausage patties were inedible. Also for some reason they always serve a mix of sweet and white potatoes. I do not eat sweet potatoes ever. Dana I beg you stop putting them in everything from soup to entrees. The salad bowl is an odd shape and difficult to manage. No place to set a utensil on the lip. The vibe is industrial cool and very spacious. I plan to stop back to get a few things I saw. Once I was done at the bakery store side I headed over for lunch. I was seated at a booth, chair combo seating. The booth was really comfortable. Our waiter was really good. He was attentive made sure our drinks were filled. He answered any questions we had. My starter was the Chesapeake Bay crab dip. That dip was one of the best I have had! Melty cheese, with wonderful flavor! It came out piping hot a d was paired with crispy yet soft pita rounds. I opted for the BBQ Brisket on a sweet potato bun. The bun was really delicious. I was happy the waiter informed me that this was not a hand held sandwich, but more of a fork and knife kind of dish. My side was a salad. The lemon dressing was amazing. My friend also had the same dressing and she raved about it as well. My selection was the Tavern Monte Cristo which consisted of chargrilled chicken and ham as the protein with Gouda cheese and cider aioli fried in a tempura batter with tavern fries. The meal was served hot and ready and tasted great. And having the cranberry coulis as a dipping sauce really added some taste. My only gripe with the sandwich was the amount of protein. I'm not sure if I ate most of it when we dined in, but when I ate the rest for dinner, it was more breading than anything else. Still good but they could've included more. Nonetheless, I was full.
