    Longsilog Garlic Rice Plate

It's been a few years since my last review, and Flip 'n Patties is still one of my favorite restaurants to go to. I rarely go to this part of town anymore because it's a bit far from me, but I finally had the chance to stop by the restaurant in person again recently. Everything about the restaurant is still clean, friendly, and welcoming just like before, and the foods, of course, are always super delicious!! This time, I got the Mini Kamayan to share with my boyfriend. It comes with 2 portions of the garlic rice, 4 portions of different meats (chicken pupu, bbq pork, longganisa, and lechon kawali), and 2 flip rolls. For basically the price of 2 rice plate but with double the meat portions, you really can't beat this. Everything was super flavorful and delicious as usual. I also ordered the Jeepney Burger to-go with Vampire fries, and they were also super tasty. Flip 'n Patties never fails to satisfy. I've been going to them even back when they only had a food truck, and I'll always keep coming back for more.

I am an OG Flip 'n' Patties patropn ever since they were but a modest food truck. I have been living in Dallas for the past 6 years, so it has been a while since I have been back! Came here to show a friend "the culture" in a casual setting--so no pressure! I loved to see all of the filipino art everywhere-- and the owner certainly has a sense of humor when it comes to the menu item names! My friend and I started with Lechon and we both had something different to eat. I had Pancit with fried fish on the side and my friend had a Jeepney burger. One thing about my pancit-- it doesn't come with meat so you have to add whatever protein you want. They mix Bihon and Canton noodles together, and there's a lot more veggies mixed in than what I am used to-- but over all-- SARAP! We finished it off with a full sized halo-halo, but we couldn't even finish out ice cream because we were so full. Overall, portion size and flavor is amazing. And did you know they make their own Mang Tomas after the FDA banned all of our condiments?? I think they said they make their own banana ketchup, too! We had a little chat about that! I only wish on their merch shelf that the Christmas parole was for sale. I got excited when I saw it. LOL

You know I had to run it back to one of my goated Filipino street food places at Flip'n Patties. Now the only thing I kept the same was the company but decided to switch it up a little with my order. Now while what I got was different the result my friend was nothing short but a CERTIFIED BANGER. So from last time I said I was gonna try the burger and surprised myself but actually following through (wow). I went with the Jeepney burger which came with the standard wagyu beef patty, longaniza, egg, tomato, and banana ketchup aioli. Now if you think that's sounds amazing, it absolutely is. Patty is good, longaniza taste comes through, but for me the star is the bun. Now it aint your regular-degular buns okay. ITS THE SAME BUNS FROM BAOS. I shouldn't need to expand on this I will just say this needs to be adopted in more places. Look I came in round two to flip'n and once again had an amazing time. Food was fantastic, company was great, service was amazing and friendly. I'm already looking forward to my next get together with my friend at this location. Only issue I have now is what do I get next time!

The Flip 'n Patties Burger is amazing! The wagyuru beef is beautifully complemented by fried panko stuffed portabella shroom (muenster, cheddar), bacon, cheddar, green leaves, tomato, spicy sauce, FnP tang sauce. The service is impeccable! I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and the waiter guided me through the menu. I ended up going with his recommendations, and loved it! The ambiance is super chill. It's a very low-key spot.

This was my first time visiting their OG brick and mortar location; it's quite a bit higher of a dining experience than their food court spot in the Understory in downtown. There's plenty of parking available outside and plenty of seating inside. It's a sit down experience with full service. I ordered the Loko Loko with a side of the Flip n Fries with chicken pupu and their prickly pear juice. The juice was way too sugary and not something I would recommend. At their downtown location, I've tried a few of their burgers but I think I prefer their garlic rice plates. The Loko Loko was solid but the fried chicken pupu pieces on the flip 'n fries was probably the tastiest part of my meal and likely what I'll order the next time here. The "Fliprolls" are slightly forgettable so I would save space for other items. Overall solid meal and with a very comprehensive menu, there are plenty of other dishes (especially the pork centric dishes) to try.

I'm in town on business, and this is one of my favorite places to eat. The garlic fried rice will remind you of the Philippines, the bbq pork is flavorful with some smokiness to it. And do not forget the Filipinadas, their version of empanadas just filled with flavor, but back to the garlic fried rice, makes this a must try, you will not be disappointed. Outstanding service from the time you walk in and there's open seating.

Flip 'n Patties Burger with fries. After tax and tip, it was just under $30 (as of Oct 2024). Super expensive

Very friendly service and interesting take on burgers, tacos, and way more! Since I was a first timer here, I felt like I couldn't go wrong by ordering their flag ship burger (the one named after their restaurant). It includes Texas wagyu beef, bacon, fried panko stuffed portobello mushroom, veggies, and two different sauces. The stuffed mushroom really does a lot, and I think it's what makes it so special. I enjoyed it, but the drawbacks are the size and price. With such a large stuffed mushroom, I couldn't help but to make a sloppy mess with each bite. To be fair though, my coworker did claim that a messy burger means it's a good burger, so it's a preferential thing. After adding fries, my total came out to just under $30 after tax and 18 percent tip. Service was great! Our waiter was enthusiastic, friendly, and had a bit of humor. "Would you like some more water? You sure? It's free!". Clean interior and welcoming. By the restrooms, there is a small arcade machine you can play while waiting for someone to drop the kids off the pool. Would I go back to try something else? Absolutely!

Yay! I finally found you, my flip n patties!!!

Yesterday was my birthday, and I've been wanting to try this place for the longest time. Seriously, about a year. Every time I'm in town, it's either too far, I'm short on time, or (of course) they're closed. FYI: they're closed on Sundays... learned that the hard way, lol Today, though, fate intervened. I was in the area visiting one of our business clients, drove right past it, and immediately told myself: after this meeting, I'm turning around and eating there. No excuses. Fast forward...I parked in front, and I swear it felt like there was a halo over the restaurant name. Okay, maybe I'm being dramatic... but if you've been craving a place for a year, you'd understand. Walking in, the décor was warm and inviting. There's wall artwork and a shelf filled with Filipino snacks...Chocnut, which instantly took me back to childhood. That alone already had me smiling. My servers, Rhiley, Hailey and Adrian weresuch a pleasant surprise. Super welcoming, shared a bit of the restaurant's history, and made the whole experience feel personal. The vibe reminded me of the hangout spots my little brother and I used to go to comfortable, familiar, and full of heart. Now, the food...I knew I was getting a burger... but deciding which one? Not easy. They've got multiple options, and yes...burgers with rice combos (Filipino-approved ). I went with the Jaboi Burger: Siopao bun, Wagyu patty, medium rare, Sauce that tied everything together beautifully...I also ordered the garlic fries and sampled their sauces. My favorites? The house-made mayo and BBQ...both solid wins. To end the meal, dessert was a must. I ordered the halo-halo (small size), which honestly is perfect for sharing. A sweet, nostalgic way to close out the experience. Everything was amazing. Truly worth the wait and yes, I'll definitely be back. Pogi Melt Burger

Despite the many Filipino restaurants throughout Houston, none have amassed the reputation or popularity as Flip'N'Patties. They have stood out by offering a twist on Filipino cuisine and in the process has become a destination for some of the city's most unique burgers and Energy Corridor's most well known establishments. The place is casual with lots of group-friendly seating in a very colorful ambience. The menu is good for people who enjoy Western food but with a bit of South Asian flair. The place is clean, family friendly, and is in a plaza that has plenty of parking. Their burgers are excellent in their own right. The pogi melt is delectable; well seasoned and full of flavor and has become my go-to order when coming here. I have been very impressed with many of their non-burger options including their lumpia, loaded fries, and even the desserts especially the halo halo. I don't feel like their kamayan platter is worth the hype but it is the right item for a hearty appetite. The customer service is quite good and I love that they're always changing things up. There is a downtown location as well, but I personally prefer this one over all of them. I think anyone in the area should consider giving them a try.

The place looks nice, the decor is very cool. The people especially the server is very friendly. The service is slow not sure if they are short staff or thats the usual. The food taste okay but not what i am expecting for. The flavor are very muted. I am use to big flavors especially you call it as filipino food. It needs more umami. The pork bbq is not the typical Filipino pork bbq, It needs more caramilization and bolder taste. Same as for the pork longanisa. The sisig is okay. Over all it can be improved.

Lechon Kawali at Flip N Patties - A Crispy, Flavor-Packed Delight Service is always good. Filipino culture always has great service. Ambience is casual concrete floors.. If you're craving a dish that's both indulgent and rooted in Filipino tradition, Flip N Patties' Lechon Kawali is a must-try. This dish hits all the right notes, starting with the perfectly crispy skin--golden, crackly, and audibly satisfying with each bite. Beneath that crispy layer is juicy, tender pork belly, seasoned just right to let the richness of the meat shine without overpowering it. What sets their Lechon Kawali apart is the balance. It's not greasy or heavy; instead, it feels like a carefully crafted homage to a Filipino classic. Pair it with their house-made dipping sauce--typically a vinegar-soy mix or liver-based sauce--for a tangy contrast that cuts through the richness beautifully. Presented with a side of rice and perhaps some pickled vegetables or greens, this dish doesn't just satisfy--it celebrates Filipino comfort food with a modern food truck flair. Whether you're a longtime fan of lechon or trying it for the first time, Flip N Patties delivers an unforgettable experience. Today I just got the legend Wally to go as an appetizer . I arrived during the happy magic hour and got a discount..

I had to give them another great review! Each time we come for lunch, it's a great food experience! The food is fresh, tasty and so good! They were a bit busy but service is always great as well! The restaurant is very clean, fun decor snd the prices are not too bad. I love every food item I've tried so far!

    Cucumber or neon water? Pass
    Sasha G.

I walked in thinking it was more of fast food, grab and go place but surprised to see it was more of a restaurant and had several patrons sitting. As noted in others reviews, the staff members are as helpful and friendly as everyone noted. Liked the charm of the restaurant, gotta love a place that has a Unicorn on its wall I only ordered one entree and really enjoyed it. The portion was just right for lunch, for 1 person, felt full but not overwhelmed. The potatoes were well seasoned, the rice was delicious even on its own and the steak was thinly sliced and also seasoned well. They also offer sodas, canned drinks and juices. I ordered the mango passionfruit which they said they were out of (pet peeve), so I went with cucumber. But was disappointed because I thought it was made in house but judging from taste and neon look, I'm judging it was just canned juice poured in cup. Besides the juice, I enjoyed myself and will definitely be back to try other items on menu!

To start off with a positive, I thought the falafel patty had a really great taste and was absolutely the highlight of the burger. But outside of that the burger and the toppings I ordered just didn't work as well as I would've liked. I ordered my burger with mushrooms and sauteed onions, both toppings I know I absolutely love from making burgers at home and from other spots, but neither added much. At first I was worried that the falafel was overpowering them both but upon eating them by themselves they just lacked taste. We also got the scallion aioli on the burger and I never got a hint of it at any point. All in all, the burger was very much mediocre outside of the patty. We also got fries with the burger and while they absolutely had some potential they were extremely over seasoned. Any appreciation for the seasonings in a vacuum was immediately overshadowed by how salty they were. We also ordered the Sambal Mayo as a dipping sauce and while it did help subdue the insane salt level and overall tasted quite good, upon writing this review I found out by looking at their online menu that it contained some amount of shrimp. This information is nowhere to be seen on the ordering slip and wasn't mentioned when I handed it over to the person working at the cash register. And while I definitely accept some level of responsibility for not doing my due diligence and asking or letting them know of my dietary restrictions, it's still an extremely frustrating thing to have happen as both a vegetarian and someone with a mild shellfish allergy. If for whatever reason the online menu is out of date or I missed an obvious indication of it containing shrimp somewhere I am more than happy to edit my review.

The burger itself looked like a burger you'd find at many places, but the flavor was "elevated." The burger was made to order and did take a few minutes to come out, but was worth the wait! There is plenty to do here. You can enjoy a cold one , you can lounge around in comfortable chairs, or you can play a game -- your choice. If you're in the Washington / Heights / downtown area, this place is worth a visit. (They also have parking.)

Love seeing the lunch rush though because you know it's gonna be good. Ambiance wise, this place is very chill. No indoor area, just order at the counter, get 1 of their outdoor patio tables or take it to go. There was a line to order, but service was very fast. Burger wise, this place is just a well executed classic burger. Big, juicy, fresh toppings, honestly nothing to complain about. The onion rings were some of the best that I've had recently, and I ordered their "Texas size steak sandwich" to go as well for dinner, very filling. I'm so glad I finally took the time to try out this EaDo gem. I understand why they've been a Houston burger staple for so long now. I'll definitely be adding this place to the list in my burger rotation, enjoy!

After trying a number of different burger spots it definitely wanted to come here again and make sure that it was living up to my previous experience. Just happened to get there at the right time there was nobody waiting and as soon as I placed my order and grabbed a seat, I turned around, and there was a line of approximately 20 people waiting to order. The seating is all alfresco. I ordered a steak sandwich with fries and a drink. The fried steak was tender and moist and the fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The service was friendly and helpful, answered all questions.
