Six words for you: cornbread carnitas bowl and kale tonic. Kale tonic you ask?! Sounds bitter. NOPE. It is amazing, and balanced out with the lemon, fuji apple and cucumber that's also in the juice. They don't add sugar, so it's good for you and OOOHHH so delicious. I was surprised, so you will be too! I first came here for a Yelp event and had gone my whole life thinking this was a health-food cafe (weight watchers, first watch... I know, I know!). The staff was absolutely incredible and probably one of the most united and enthusiastic teams I've ever seen at a restaurant. Super impressive. We also got to try a lot of different dishes. When I returned a few weeks later, it was therefore super easy to order and recommend my favorite dishes to the hubs! First Watch has a few seasonal dishes that they rotate and when we ate here, the cornbread carnitas bowl was one of them. It was soooooo good, complete with a runny egg and all of my favorite ingredients to complete a stellar Mexican-style breakfast. Our server was super nice and we even got to sit outside on the patio. How'd we snag such a great seat on a Saturday morning? We used their Yelp waitlist feature, so we got to lay in bed longer, and then simply show up a few minutes before our table was ready. I've been going to First Watch for years, and this is my first time going to this location. The first thing I notice is that the restaurant has a bad smell, so we opted to seat outside. They have nice outdoor dining with heating, which was very nice it was a little chilly outside. Everyone working there was really nice! I always love what I order, but I decided to try a new seasonal menu option. I ordered the Barbacoa Quesadilla Benedict. The meat was flavorful, but the dish itself wasn't very warm. I didn't enjoy the black beans with pico de gallo. The beans were swimming in bean sauce and it was oddly very warm. I also ordered the Purple Haze drink, which was very pretty. However, the lavender was very overpowering, which is totally my fault for ordering a drink with lavender. My friend ordered an iced coffee, which tasted amazing, and the Ham and Gruyère omelet, which was good. The service and location is great, but the smell of the restaurant and inconsistency with the food at various locations made me give it a three instead of a four or five. read more

Highly impressed with the quality food, service, and experience at First Watch! I came for brunch on a Sunday at 12....pretty much peak time. While it was packedd, the host took my name and phone number and put me in a "digital line". I later learned that through the Yelp App you can check in and place yourself in line before you get to the restaurant, so cool. Once seated, our waiter came with a smile, difficult to do on a hectic day! I ordered a breakfast wrap, which was delicious. It came out hot without dripping in grease like other places will serve. The portion was enough to have leftovers to bring home. My friend got the yogurt bowl with house made granola and also had raving reviews. I would absolutely come back here again. Another tremendous breakfast at first watch I had the red medicine specialty juice. It was fantastic. I also had the regular eggs Benedict and we also had the cinnamon chip special pancake that's in for the holiday season. I'm kicking myself because I forgot her name, but she was a tremendous waitress. I have been visiting this location no less than once a month since the grand opening of this location. At first the we loved it so much that we were there every Sunday. During the week we would set up shop to work from "home" from shortly after they opened for the day until they closed. Pre pandemic, I would've given them a raving 5 star review. Now, while the food is still worthy of all 5 stars, it's visibly dirty and has a funky, dirty smell. I am a huge fan of First Watch! I have been to the Carmel location several times but this was my first visit to the Keystone location. Since I believe it's a newer location than the one in Carmel, the decor and setup seemed a bit more updated. They were very crowded with people waiting to be seated. I believe this location probably seats more, however, since there was a communal table near the front/checkout area I chose to sit there. I will say it took a while to be served. One of the hostesses stopped by after a bit and offered coffee and I asked if I could place my order with her. She mentioned the name of my server but said she could take my order. I chose the Bracado (bacon & avacado omelette). I always order it, it is so good! It is a generous serving but I ate every bit of it. The fruit was delicious as is their specialty wheat bread. I also really enjoy their coffee and always get a cup to go. I will go back again as it works out well if I'm planning to catch a movie at Landmark Keystone after. This place is great! I am plant based vegan and trust me, I was able to find something to eat! I love that they have a seasonal menu and that I was able to look up the nutritional information/ingredients of each menu item. I finally decided to try the A.M.Superfoods Bowl which consists of coconut milk chia seed pudding, Berry compote, granola, blueberries and banana slices. In addition, it comes with almond butter toast which was delicious and lastly I did order a side of fresh fruit because...WHY NOT-lol!! The portion of this meal was more than enough and I was full! I definitely recommend this for anyone even if you're not plant based vegan, but specifically if you are plant based vegan, here is option. I will definitely come back to this restaurant even when they change out their menu because I'm sure I'll still be able to find a meal to enjoy. I've been to First Watch at other locations, but this was my first time at the Keystone one. We stopped in during the mid-morning on a weekday and were seated right away. The inside has a charming modern feel with nice decor. The water is served in a single jar that is left at the table for convenient self-refills. I also got a bottomless coffee and our waitress kindly left the entire pot on the table. The coffee was average but definitely drinkable. The menu has quite a few options, with typical favorites like 'The Traditional' with eggs, bacon, potatoes and toast and 'The Tri-fecta' with eggs, pancakes and choice of meat. It also has entrees aimed at the healthier side such as multigrain pancakes, avocado toast and 'quinoa power bowls'. They also include the number of calories for each entree and side. After debating between one of the eggs benedict and the breakfast tacos, I chose the tacos (without avocado) because of the waitresses' recommendation. They come served with a side of black beans but I was able to sub them for potatoes. The tacos were absolutely delicious! I added some hot sauce to give it a kick and the flavor was great. I ate two and took one home as leftovers (another plus!). Overall, good food and fast service (we were in and out in less than an hour). Would definitely recommend First Watch to others looking for a go-to breakfast spot with healthier menu options. read more

The menu has all the classics and then some items with a little twist. One of the sides that looks like it came with most meals was the breakfast potatoes. They were so good! If I were to order again I would ask for them to be well done so they would be a little crispier, but overall they were tasty. I got the elevated breakfast sandwich and it was so delicious and satisfying for breakfast. The bacon was so crispy! It came with avocado, lemon-y spring mix, an egg, and bacon. I chose the Monterey Club sandwich and Cobb Salad. My mom got the Ham and Gruyere Melt with the Superfood Kale. I asked for the Million Dollar Bacon as a starter. The food came quickly, but the sandwiches and salad came before the bacon. No biggie. When the bacon was brought out, the server asked if we needed anything else. My mother asked for more napkins. We never got them. Our waitress was friendly and started off attentive, but after we got all our meals, we were on our own. I never received a drink refill midway into our meal, even after it was acknowledged by the waitress that I needed one. I love this place! I always get the million dollar bacon. It is a must must must! The service is great every time I have gone as well. There normally is a wait but you can check in online and it makes it go faster. I normally get the gigantic chocolate chip pancake that they have but the waffle is great too. Like I mentioned already you gotta get the bacon! They also have smoothies and stuff I believe. I normally just drink oj. Today, I tried the million dollar bacon which I had not had in a while and it was very tasty. It is one of their Popular dishes but unfortunately I forgot to snap a picture of it. I also had one of their seasonal recipes the Strawberry tres leches French toast, which was delicious. My husband shared that along with the Morning market veggie omelette that he usually gets. The French toast did not come with any sides. So we split the French toast and omelette to make a meal and he also added a side of grits. I enjoy sitting at the community table sometimes because You can walk right in and sit there if there are seats available and it's nice meeting new people. I'm really surprised to be writing a 3-star review. Though I don't frequent chains, we have always enjoyed First Watch. Today, not as much. Their seasonal menu sounded great but there wasn't much there for someone GF. I opted for the salmon Benedict. I know, I know. English muffins are hardly GF. But they are supposed to be sourdough and therefore a bit easier to digest, and I decided to make an exception for the salmon. I like to order things I cant/won't make at home, and a good Hollandaise fits in that category. My son ordered the Chickichanga, always a pleaser. We also ordered juices, with the seasonal selection Red Medicine being my choice. Pomegranate and cranberry juices, black tea, local honey and cinnamon. So good I sucked mine down before the food came and opted for a second. Food was brought to the table and right away I noticed the steaming cup of grits and the super wiggly Benedict. Soon the hollandaise was separating and falling off to reveal clear or barely opaque egg underneath. Yikes. I ate it anyway to find that my food was cold, like colder than the ambient air temp cold. My son's food was hot and my grits piping hot. It seems my entree was made too early and didn't receive even the benefit of a heat lamp while it waited for the rest of our order. I never send food back, but I should have in this case. I know poached eggs, and those snotty things were not even close to poached. Even the yolk was cold to the point of seeming almost refrigerated. Blowing my GF diet and spending $50 before tip for two would have been fine if enjoyable. But it wasn't. read more

We came on a Saturday morning. It was VERY busy. We waited less than 10 mins, our server, Galdino, came immediately to get our drink order, brought it directly back. Our food came so fast. Again less than 10 mins after we ordered. And the place was packed! The food was *chefs kiss*! Wonderful. I had the banana, granola pancake, and athletes omelette. We waited about 45 mins or so, which matched the time they told us when we got there. First Watch as a chain overall is great! Food is always tasty and love that they have seasonal items that adds variation to their menu. The juices are refreshing. My husband and I typically order take out from the 86th street location and have not yet had any issues - until todays order. I got my usual Tri-Fecta with a waffle, bacon, and scrambled eggs. And there's no way the waffle was not from the previous day. It was cold, crunchy, and hard. I pop in here every now and then to have a quiet lunch by myself. My office was right behind here so it's nice to take a break from work. One of my favorite things is the Kale Tonic drink, so refreshing and I get to drink my vegetables! The avocado toast is ginormous and really fills you up unlike the typical toast you get at other restaurants. The superfood kale salad is also delicious and a huge portion.
