Someone needs to explain to me why first watch has such an active discrimination against me specifically, I had an issue back in 2024 on the same issue and they seem to be actively making a continuous issue on this very subject. Waiting 40+ minutes for a Belgian waffle is insane, and then being gaslit by some manager, acting like they're doing what they can, but in reality people have entered and left with their orders before I even received it myself. I was going to give this a one-star review, but the manager surprised me with genuine kindness, and because of that, I couldn't. I've been coming here for almost 10 years, and it's always been one of my favorite breakfast spots. Unfortunately, the service today was disappointing. My server seemed rushed rather than attentive. I understand it was busy, but when care is rushed, mistakes happen just like in my own line of work. My drink was dropped off without pausing to see if I needed anything, not even a straw. When the oatmeal arrived, it was full of walnuts, had only a few berries, no bananas, and the milk was forgotten. The presentation was poor overall. To their credit, the waiter kindly removed it from the bill since I didn't eat it. When I went to pay, I was asked about the service and honestly shared that I wasn't happy. The manager then insisted on not charging me for the meal. I told her it wasn't necessary we all need to make a living but she insisted and thanked me for the feedback. What has always made this place great isn't just the food, but the service. Yes, it's a busy location, but guests still deserve attentiveness making sure they have everything before rushing off. I order the same thing every time I go (The Traditional) and I was pleasantly surprised!!! The portion size was AWESOME for a hearty breakfast, eggs over medium cooked perfectly, and amazing seasoned potatoes. My boyfriend wanted something light for breakfast, so decided on the Farm Stand breakfast tacos. It was a little much for being a "lighter" meal, but great for a good sized breakfast. So the broccoli and cheddar soup was outstanding but the ham and gruyere sandwich was very dry, the cheese wasn't melted and completely missing ingredients listed in the menu such as tomato and mustard. You can never go wrong with First Watch. This location is no exception! Despite being packed with people, the servers were friendly and attentive. I waited about 20 minutes for a table but it was worth it. I ordered my favorite breakfast protein bowl along with an iced coffee. I'm always excited for their seasonal menu. This time I tried the cinnamon toast crunch drink, which was surprisingly delicious! I expected it to be overly sweet. The kiddios enjoyed the enormous chocolate chip pancakes and bacon. Let me start by saying that the customer service was truly above and beyond and it's what earned this place the fourth star. I encountered a small Missed step with the avocados on my plate and my waitress didn't waste any time in informing both the kitchen and the manager. I didn't need anyone to bend over backwards for me, nor am I a picky eater but when I noticed something was off, they sprung into action to make sure that others were served the best possible quality meal. There is a certain comfort and familiarity with their menu that allows for consistency in the excellence of food and service ; the eggs were cooked at perfection. The toast was prepared as ordered in my lemon water was topped off with perfect timing as was my coffee I was traveling for work and it was an early morning, so the place was pretty quiet, but there was no problem having me seated promptly and greeted kindly . I visited for the first time this morning for breakfast and was surprised to find my experience just OK. The server was underwhelming, when I asked for green tea he put a container on the table but there wasn't any green tea in it. He never checked on me and only returned to deliver the check. To be honest- I usually love their food but last time i ordered online and ate here they gave me a hot black coffee instead of an iced "creamy and sweet" latte like i had ordered which is no big deal but today i ordered from them again and i got over medium eggs with the yolks not runny, one was fully cooked and i just hate hard egg yolks and really look forward to that part of the meal. & i trusted the other biscuit and gravy reviews and the gravy isn't that great either in my opinion. I got the BLT Eggs Benedict and really enjoyed the classic brunch choice on ciabatta instead of English muffins. Also their drinks tend to be super sweet, ask for half the sweetness. The service is hit or miss. It's always friendly but can be slow or a bit clumsy depending on who serves you. After fast for a morning doctor appointment, I was more than ready for brunch -- late breakfast and early lunch. The restaurant is set back in the middle of the shopping center. Take a moment to look up at the lovely painted half dome ceiling of blue sky and clouds before you enter. There was no waiting for a table when we stopped by. My husband had the "works" -- a bit of everything breakfast folded into an omelet that came with a salad alongside. He said it was very good, but the mixed greens salad didn't seem to really go with the meal. I would have changed it for something else. I had one of their daily features -- crab avocado toast. It was very good. Lots of smashed avocado topped with a nice amount of crab all on their multi-grain bread. It came with basted eggs which I'd asked for cooked well, meaning cooked through. They fried them instead but that was okay. I WAS hungry. Our only problem was at check out. It wasn't the best experience. We'd read online that they offered veterans discounts, so we asked about them. The gal said no, the company doesn't offer any discounts. I guess it was the way she said it and reacted that just didn't sit well with my husband. I can not stand a business that does not answer the phone. I called this location minutes apart for about 15 minutes around 1 pm today and I continue to get the busy tone. I know from eating here in person there has always been a hostess standing at the front, sometimes multiple. To not even be able to pick up the phone and place on hold is absurd. I was calling because we ordered via Uber eats, and our driver forgot to deliver 4 drink orders. This was half of our tab. Uber refunded us but we had to re order our coffees and orange juices. Who wants breakfast with no coffee? Not us. I realized they forgot to pack the berry compote for my French toast and was going to ask them to send it with our drinks.
