Have been here twice and still love it! This new location is clean and unique. Came here one time on Sunday and of course it was super busy. But didn't take too long to get seated. They also have the coffee stand for people are waiting. Came here the second time on a weekday and it was much emptier. I ordered the quinoa bowl twice and the morning meditation and the million dollars bacon. They all tasted fabulous. My husband said he was so surprised I actually finished my meal for the first time. The quinoa bowl was so healthy and filling. It has quinoa, sun-dried tomatoes, chicken, cheese, kale, carrots, and some cheese. It tasted so good that I had to look for recipe online and tried to make it at home. Gotta say I would want to come back and eat some more!:) so glad this one is right by home. I wanted to love FIRST WATCH so much.. I have given it 3 visits. EVERY TIME the front desk is so rude. It's as if they don't want you to visit. I have witnessed and have been a victim each time - I have stood there waiting to be helped either to pay or because my table is ready and the front desk people help other people - even though I have been standing first. My first First Watch in Michigan and it was so busy I could not get a table (1hour wait). Maybe tomorrow.

I had been wanting to try this place for awhile, and finally decided the waiting was over. Hubby and I ordered takeout breakfast. He told me that when he first walked into the restaurant to pick up our order, there was already a thirty-minute wait for a table. The place was hopping, already a good sign. First Watch did not disappoint us! I ordered the Farmhouse Hash, topped with over-medium eggs. The best thing about this dish was the big chunks of avocado, tomatoes, and bacon that assured that each bite was flavorfully different from the others. Seasonings were right on the mark, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Hubby had The Works Omelette (hold the sour cream), which he said was very tasty. We also got an order of the Million Dollar Bacon to see what made it a menu favorite for many. I was surprised by how indulgent bacon could become (as if it isn't enough already!) when it is lovingly cooked in brown sugar and maple syrup, then topped with a little cayenne and a sprinkle of basil. Well-rounded flavors, though a tad messy if you use your fingers to eat it, and the cayenne sneaks up on you for a pleasantly spicy finish. The heat level was medium to me, though Hubby is more sensitive and said it was a little spicier than he preferred. Do not recommend this place if you care about service. Drove 30 minutes away to have a horrible dining experience. This place is dirty. the service absolutely sucks, the waitress came to our table once to take our order and once to give us the bill, they didn't move the plates out of our way so we could hardly eat with enough room due to the amount of table space. I feel like the atmosphere is just chaotic and everything is crammed and close together giving you no privacy. This was our first time ordering takeout from First Watch. We've never eaten at the restaurant before, but we're getting bored with some of the usual choices. The food was ok (hence the 2 stars), but my order was completely wrong. I ordered one of the hashes with scrambled eggs, avocado on the side and no toast. I received over hard eggs, avocado on the hash and toast. It's clear no one paid attention to my selections. With so many other brunch choices, I'll be voting with my wallet at other restaurants that actually read my order. read more

Lazy, rude staff at this location. Made the attempts twice to eat at this location and because I travel with a small chihuahua, I politely requested a patio seat and was initially rejected due to staffing. I understood and said I'd return another day. I did just that and came at open on a Tuesday. I didn't want to show when they were busy, because it would be an inconvenience. However, I was the first customer and again same request, but was rudely turned down and the lady was very condescending with her tone. Mind you, I was the only customer and two wait staff just standing. I understand COVID and staffing issues, but this is not an opportunity to just stand around and be lazy. I am one customer with a chihuahua who doesn't demand a huge order, he eats small. This isn't a large place either and the patio was a few feet walk from where they were standing. I am disappointed and as an owner, I'd be upset for turning away a customer. Guess customers are abundant in that area. read more

My husband ordered two poached eggs, bacon, toast and grits: eggs were hard boiled, grits were underdone with no seasoning, bacon overdone and he got no toast. I ordered mine over easy, they were swimming in butter and for some odd reason, they threw parsley on top. Food was sporadic, had to wait for the grits so eggs got cold. I like coming here but to be quite honest, I'd have to say it's a glorified Panera. The food is good but nothing very special and it's borderline bland. They have typical brunch foods like omelets, pancakes, sandwiches, salads, plus special smoothies and fresh juices. Their menu has a lot of "healthier" options and vegan and gluten-free as well. I do enjoy their salads because the greens are crisp and fresh. Last time I was here I got the Turkey burger and tomato soup. The burger was decent and it had avocado and greens in it which I always love, but it was lacking in any real taste. Also the soup seemed old and it had weird clumps of something in it which I couldn't identify. Idk. It was weird. For a breakfast/brunch place, I was hoping they'd have more selection for teas but they really didn't and just brought me a generic black tea when I asked. It's one of those places that isn't good... but isn't bad? One of those places that you wouldn't rush to go to again, but if your friend wanted to go you'd shrug and join. The menu is huge and offers so many options. Anyone would be able to find something they can eat. I know there are heated discussions around this - but the calorie counts are also on the menu. I ordered the smoked salmon frittata with greens and ciabatta. My friend ordered the biscuits and gravy with eggs and potatoes. Let's just say... when the food was dropped off it was a bit underwhelming. You eat with your eyes, right? The ciabatta wasn't brought to the table and when asked they brought out this tiny piece on a huge plate with haphazard butter spread onto the bread. My friend said her dish was "meh". The waitress was nice, but we noticed she wasn't able to speak about the menu as much. And we noticed she had made mistakes with all the tables around us. Coffee cost me $3. Which just seems extreme considering I didn't see Starbucks on the sign... TLDR: if you're out of other options or in a pinch you'd be modestly satisfied here. read more

The menu is varied but very inconsistent and food takes a length of time disproportionate to the quality. If you order coffee, they bring a carafe to your table, ostensibly for your convenience but in reality for theirs. I get it, everyone is just re-opening and we all should be grateful we can eat out again. However, there are things that just can't be overlooked and could be remedied. At 25% capacity, expect to wait. The person we gave our name to before 11:30am said it would be 45 minutes. After an hour, we went in to see how much longer (since you have to wait in your car- out of sight out of mind). Amazingly, we were next and the table was ready! The order went in at 12:33pm. After 1pm, our food finally arrived. It was not worth the wait. The guy running the register did give us 20% off, which basically covered their tip. Other opportunities were that someone should have been checking on us every 10 minutes or so since we drank all our coffee waiting the +30 minutes for our food. The tables along the windows are freezing and you can feel the breeze coming thru (this is a new building)! It appears the online orders take priority over those in the restaurant. read more
