We've been coming to this restaurant for a long time. It's pretty decent. Lately, we've only been doing carry out, which is always more difficult to get a quality experience with breakfast items. Today, a large portion of our order was missing and didn't realize it until at home and the family was ready to dig in. We called the store and they offered to refund the missing portion. Meh. I guess at least they did that, but totally missed the fact that the breakfast experience was completely ruined. With Covid, restaurants really need to have their carry out dialed in. Double checking the order you pack is super simple and really important. Screw up that basic step and you're going to struggle. read more

Wait list does not show any form of professionalism as if you are on the waiting list but people are at the first watch that will be seated first therefore making it so that our time didn't change from 15-20 minutes meaning that there is no benefit in being in the waiting list. Overpriced corporate owned breakfast spot. Decided to step out with the kids and give my kitchen a break. Mistake! Staff is up front and honest about the menu which I found refreshing. The "new twist" on breakfast is odd combinations of food, some with classic names. If you're going to waste $100 for a family of five to eat breakfast, I would recommend finding an actual locally owned joint or teaching your kids to cook at home. Nice service, nice food, nice atmosphere. It's not too loud in there, granted I've only ever been for brunch. Our waitress most recently was very nice and attentive and the food was great! I'm really not sure what to rate First Watch. We've now eaten there twice. The first time it was good, but super expensive for what we got. It's definitely priced higher than most breakfast places we frequent. 1 egg was $2. And double downer, since switching from Egg and I they no longer offer a military discount. I will, however say the staff have all been great, service is slow, and fruit is fresh. The chickichanga is delish. My breakfast today was a bit bland; I had an omelette, and the toast was cold. (Didn't even melt the butter). Potatoes were undercooked. But the homemade jam was delicious. It's always been super clean in there and we get greeted from a host right away. read more

Something has definitely changed in the quality of food going from the Egg and I to First Watch. I ordered the Trifecta (eggs, sausage & pancake). The eggs were tasteless even after adding salt and pepper, the sausage was barely warm but the pancake was delicious, which is why I gave them 3 stars. The service was also good. My husband had the French toast and he said "it was fine". The remodel is certainly trendy and beautiful but I'm not quite sure if we will be back. read more

This chain restaurant seems to have similar issues at every site. I order avocado toast with eggs over hard for take out. The avocados was brown and taste funky, like a poorly made guacamole. The egg lacked flavor and was cooked in strange circle shape. Would of loved two actual eggs. The whole meal was off. I also ordered the million dollar bacon and only got the regular bacon, which was limp, fatty, and tasteless. I was early for my order, and grabbed it as it came out. We had a really good experience here for the first time! We came on a busy Sunday but didn't have to wait longer than 10 minutes. We tried the juices, farmhouse and market hash and my daughter had pancakes and bacon with fruit. Everything tastes good and there were plenty of paleo options which is how we like to eat. Food is good but service needs to improve. 1st time there we had a waitress that was on time from taking the order and delivering food and then ignored us from there on out. We walked up to pay our bill at the front instead of waiting for the waitress and brought our food with us to get it to go. The 2nd time, it was the other way around. Not greeted by the waiter and he took a table that was sat after us. I had to get someone to help us at that point. This will be our last time going there because we gave them a second chance and they blew it. We came in on a Saturday and, because the tables are packed so tightly in the middle of the room, we opted to wait for the lone empty booth to be cleaned. While we waited, a couple walked in, and the hostess seated them at the booth. She didn't bother to apologize when I brought her attention to it. My friend and I ate at the Egg and I regularly and generally had a good experience. Today was our first visit to the newly renamed "First Watch." The prices are up 25% and the service was mediocre. The worst was when my friend used the bathroom and discovered there was no hand soap. She told the waiter. My husband and I have become regulars here over the past few months. We love the remodeled space, and the updated menu is really good. However, I do have to take away a star for the lack of gluten free options. Being able to sub gluten free toast for regular is a step in the right direction, but please add some gluten free options like waffles or pancakes for those of us with gluten sensitivity. read more

Went in to First Watch and I have to admit I am not impressed their food was sub-par at best. Not only was there no direction to the servers who were running around with their heads cut off but the coffee we ordered was burnt. I ordered and Bacon Avocado omelette to only find maybe 2 pieces of avaocado thatvwere black as well as eating burnt bacon. The "Fresh greens" they were slimy and you could tell that they were past their prime. My husband ordered the Biscuits and Gravy, the gravy was oddly gritty and chalky. His eggs were over cooked you could tell that the sunny side up eggs were DONE. Will say this toast was pretty good though. Will not ever be returning back to this place definitely do not suggest anyone to go. read more

Waited over an hour for food just to have it come out cold (as in the butter couldn't even melt in the toast), undercooked, and just downright horrible. When we commented on the quality,we mentioned that we were starving so we would just eat what we could. Server stated that nothing could be done to adjust our bill because we wouldn't let them remake it. We did not want to wait another hour for bad food. This place exceeded my expectations. Based on some of the reviews we were hesitant to try this out but I'm so glad we did! This place had menu items that matched some dietary restrictions in our group and everything was fresh! Burritos and tacos were great (I do wish they had all corn tortillas for the tacos but they were still good). Pancakes also were very fresh. We didn't have to wait at all during a late Sunday brunch.
