Went to the First Watch Rest. In Murrysville. Will never go there agin. We got there at 12:00 and did not get seated tell 1:05 got food At 1:18 not bad for food, But we found out after we ate that people are allowed to call ahead and make a reservation for seating. If that be the case I suggest you put up a sign that says no walk-ins. Or Maybe take over the The space next-door that has a drive-through now that goes nowhere and expand the restaurant and kitchen. Then it would make sense to me when you have double the sheeting. It makes people mad when you are there waiting and someone comes in they get to set down and we are waiting for over a hour. read more

First time here & we were excited to try FW. We ordered veg omelet & 2 had smoked salmon frittata. Veg omelet was sorely lacking the lovely vegs as described on the menu. The edges were dry & rubbery. I love the multi grain toast but one slice only? The greens were delightful! My companions enjoyed the frittatas but nothing was "wow". It's overpriced for the quantity because if I spend $11+ on a breakfast I generally have enough to eat. We all cleaned our plates. I love love love this place, even though it's pricey for brunch. First time at his location And my eggs on my eggs Benedict were hard boiled eggs. That's truly unacceptable unless I requested it, which I did not. I'm not trying to fish for compensation but for the price I paid, it was disappointing. Food is incredibly tasty, seems healthy, great options. Comfortably crowded, always a long wait so be prepared. Helpful to have bookstore and gift stores nearby while waiting, will get text updates on place in line. Hard to decide between amazing pancakes or tasty chIcken bowls. Some of the menu is very interesting and they have the breakfast staples too. I tried the million dollar bacon but the sweetness was not to my taste. Still, I just love that they have creative dishes on their menu. You have to wait in line but it is worth it. Come early or use the online app to reserve a place. read more

Food quality great, service great, portions could have been a little more, coffee price $2.99!!!! I have a gift certificate that I've been trying to use for 8 months. My wife went with me once and won't go back. Her main reason is the noise. Also hard to find a dish that's not high calorie. Acoustics are terrible. I think it's by design there's a concept that noisy restaurants spur peoples' appetites. Her and I don't like the noise. Most of her friends feel the same way. So I've been going back solo. One more trip should do it then my certificate will be used up. I won't return basically because of the noise level and the prices a bit too high. Eggs Benedict is god awful with bought hollandaise and the ciabatta bread is rock hard. However the blueberry French toast was better than average and the blueberries were very fresh. Service was ok. read more

Sunday morning brunch was not a disappointment! The wait was about an hour, to be expected. Service was wonderful from the time we sat down until we left. I'm a coffee fanatic and the iced coffee is very good. Breakfast was delicious! One of my favorite places to eat. read more

I hate to do this but I was visiting from out of state and went to this location with someone who had never been but lives in the area. I like the food and is the main reason why I wanted to go. When we were seated and waiting for our food, my child noticed food under our table as well as ants. We looked around as well as the waitress and there wasn't dood or ants under any of the other tables. When we checked out and paid, we told the cashier and all she said was "That's funny, I've never seen a bug here. Ever."; but did nothing. Not even apologize. I don't know how I should feel about this but like I said, I've been to others and that should never be an issue. read more

What a great addition to Murrysville! I've been to other locations and always enjoy my meal--same goes for this spot. We like that there are both healthy as well as indulgent options on the menu. The kids are always into the kids menu, especially the crepes. We don't feel bad bringing the crew here as we know it will be a tasty yet healthful meal (as long as we keep control!). First visit to this place . Service & coffee are worth 4.5 stars but the wait if you don't pre check in on the app or yelp can be quite long. Like that the food is quite healthy & it's served fast for fresh made food, but the food temperature was not like other nearby establishments & servings were a bit smaller than expected . Our table had 2 of the same meals & the eggs I had were HALF the serving size & almost cold. Would like to try one of the other items that MANY RAVE about , but likely I can make it at home . 3 of us ate for $45.00 after waiting 1.25 hrs to be seated. Had brunch here today. Went in about 11:30 AM seated right away. Food was very good and high quality. Both of us enjoyed our meal. Raining so no outdoor seating. Server was friendly and polite. On the way out noticed there was a short line waiting. Would eat here again in the future read more

Great brunch place! Definitely on the more pricey side but one of the most reasonably priced brunch places I have been to. The lemon and strawberry pancakes are super filling and so delicious. Ordered a trifecta, which is 2 eggs, 2 bacon slices, and a pancake for $10.29. Also ordered toast and coffee. Twenty five minutes after ordering, the so-crispy-it-fell-apart bacon and the burnt pancake were served without the eggs. (The extra cost Toast was cold). Told eggs would be served when ready. Lightly poached eggs arrived 10 minutes later- except they were hard boiled. I was offered a remake on the eggs, but I was more than ready to go. As compensation, the waitress took $1 - ONE DOLLAR- off the bill. The entire breakfast was inedible. We won't be back. They NEED a new cook. read more

I want to start off by saying that the food at First Watch is wonderful. However, after my experience today (September 30th) I will not return to this location ever again. There was a long wait, which was completely ok. We were enjoying each other's company and the nice weather. We received our text message that our table was ready and that is when our horrible experience started. The host did not greet us but made it a point to say "just so you know we called your party 30 minutes ago." We never received any call or notification that the table was even ready nor did we even complain about a wait. There was absolutely no reason why he needed to mention that. He also had a bad attitude when he said it. I have worked in the service industry in the past and know that there is no reason why a customer should be treated that way. It ruined our entire meal. He also said he would bring more silverware and never did. read more

The first time we came here two weeks ago, it was great. Today we used the First Watch app to get in line, which estimated a 15-30 minute wait. The wait was 60 minutes. When we were finally seated, we asked for plain half and half instead of the international delight cups on the table. No problem said the waitress. 15 minutes later - still waiting. Reminded her again. Instead of apologizing, blamed someone else for not bringing it. And we waited another 5 minutes for it. The people at the table next to us were served the wrong style of eggs, and were not served a fruit cup that had been ordered. They reminded the waitress twice. 30 minutes later while everyone else was tired of waiting, the egg and fruit cup showed up in a styrofoam container. The waitress seemed perplexed, to say the least. Then our order was served. My husband had ordered a size of bacon. It didn't come. He told the waitress. She said, "she has bacon,"' pointing to my plate. We both said, "he ordered a side of bacon; my bacon is not his." He had a waffle and I had a pancake. I guess it was too much to ask to bring syrup. Again, she seemed perplexed when we asked and blamed someone else for not bringing it. These are not complicated orders or requests. Seems a bit of a mess to me. Really disappointing. They need to get their act together. Certainly not worth the wait. read more

Went here for breakfast today. Arrived at 10:15, was told 30-45 min wait. They are brand new so this wasn't unexpected. Waited an hour. Placed order almost immediately as I was on a bit of a time crunch now. 45 minutes later, no food. So, I asked for the food to be boxed to go. Waitress said that she was still waiting for our food to come up. I then just asked for the order to be cancelled as I had to leave. She began waiting on another table and at that moment, my friends food arrived so I asked the person who brought that to please box up mine so I could leave. She left the table and a different person arrived with a plate for another member of my party. I also asked her if she could please just box up mine so I could go. Waited 10 more minutes. No food, no boxes. So I gave my friend money for what my son and I ordered (and never received) and left the restaurant. I left $30 lighter with no food. My friend did say that her food was cold when it arrived and it wasn't made correctly. The menu looked amazing, the atmosphere was fantastic. They have some real work to so operationally. There was no hustle with the waitress which I'm sure is part of the reason the aren't turning their tables fast enough. Perhaps it was just this particular waitress? Don't know for sure. I have been to other locations which were great so I hope this one gets it right soon. read more
