The food here is absolutely excellent. Certainly very unexpected for such a tiny spot near a gas station. I got to try their gyro, baklava, and falafel. Absolutely everything was delicious. The gyro was absolutely packed with meat, to the brim. And it was perfectly seasoned, perfectly thin, perfectly cooked. Great white sauce as well. Pita itself was fairly solid. Fresh vegetables. The falafel was also really good. They are these mini falafel bites that I really enjoyed. Very crunchy and also went well with the side white sauce it was served with. Finally, the baklava. Wow. My boyfriend and I stopped at the gas station for some drinks and found Leenas Food. Mohammed gave amazing service and we loved talking to him! The gyro meat was hot and delicious, the best we have ever had. We bought some baklava, it was sweet rich and crunchy, everything you want in a piece of baklava. I heard about this place a while ago and have been wanting to try it for a long time and finally stopped today for lunch to go. While the ambience might be a little lacking since this is situated inside a gas station it is definitely worth a visit!. The good is authentic, generous portions and friendly service. The owner & his brother were very friendly and welcoming....they let me try falafel since I had mentioned I never had it before. It was very good but I decided to go with the Gyro platter to go. This consisted of a generous portion of gyro meat over rice, a side salad, side of hummus, 2 pitas on the side and a generous portion of cucumber sauce. Let me tell you this cucumber sauce is amazing big hunks of fresh cucumber in it....the best I have had. I really enjoyed the side salad. The spices were just right on it! Would stop by again. This restaurant is the epitome of a hidden gem. It is attached/connected/inside a gas station, so, the location is easy to miss, and also easy to dismiss. (It used to be a Marathon station, and is now a Shell. You can currently still see the blue "Marathon" stripe around the building.) The food from Leena's is fantastic! Stopped here after a nail appointment down the road. Was solo in dining this night so I thought it be perfect time to stop and get something for eating at home. Owner was super friendly and generous. I got the gyro platter: gyro meat, nice portion of rice, Tzatziki (fresh and tangy!), tomato cucumber salad and one of the best hummus I have had to date (Alladins is currently my fave). 3 pitas come along side because you could make 3 regular sized gyros! All for $19!! I also was given 2 baklava and they were supremely home made. Not one complaint on anything, all wonderful. The pitas he includes with orders are also made locally in Pittsburgh. It's family owned and the owner is super friendly and courteous. Heads up that he prefers if you pay in cash! I have a relationship with Leena's that goes back to 2005 when their original food truck would park near Benedum Hall at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by years of weekly visits to their restaurant in Oakland. While I was sad that they left the city for Murrysville, I'm still so glad I get to enjoy their gyros. Thankfully my wife can bring them on her way home from work on occasion and they are just as perfect as I remember them (with their amazing hot pepper relish). On the recommendation of others, I stopped at Leena's to try out their falafel sandwich and hummus. Mohammed was also super sweet and let me try their baklava - which is sinfully and dangerously good. The flavors of everything are fresh, and taste absolutely delicious. They are a diamond in the rough, and I will certainly be back. For less than what I'd pay at Sheetz for a sandwich and fries, I got all of this food plus 3 additional pitas for my hummus. I have driven past the sign on Old William Penn trying to lure customers in to Leena's countless times over the past year. I have had this place bookmarked for nearly as long, but still it took a solid year before I gave it a try. I wish I would have tried it sooner! Yes, it is in a gas station, which doesn't sound so appealing when you're reading other reviews, but please do not let that deter you from giving the place a try. They are closed on Sundays, but have perfect hours for lunch or dinner the other six days a week. Prices are quite reasonable as well considering how much food you get. I opted for the "Leena's Special Platter" which came with hummus, two pita breads, small salad (maybe 1/2 cup or so), rice, and plenty of thinly-sliced lamb with that delicious greek sauce we all know and love! How do you spell it? Tzatziki, maybe? I believe it is a husband and wife who run the business, and both were friendly and inviting. I've driven past this place hundreds of times and always seemed to forget it was there. I finally stopped in and tried and was glad I did. The menu is pretty small, but they offer all they need to. There are two types of combos available. The combo meal and the platter. The combo meal is your sandwich, drink and a side. The sandwich is wrapped in foil and is stuffed with a nice amount of meat that has tons of flavor. The platter is in a styrofoam container and has rice, gyro meat, hummus, lettuce and pita. There is a huge amount of food, so you either need to be really hungry, sharing food or plan on having leftovers for another meal. I was really impressed with the platter (and will likely be what I order on all future visits). In addition to the combo and platter, you can also get a la carte items such as falafel, French fries, grape leafs and baba ganoush. I found the prices to be very reasonable for the portions you get and will be back for a visit again soon. read more

Leena's is oldly enough located inside a gas station, although that doesn't take away from the food and service in any way. The small shop is run by a family, mom dad and daughter. The father was very open in discussion and generous with us as first timers. He gave both my sister and Inextra gyro meat because I didn't know you could buy more after purchasing my meal. We ordered a gyro salad, gyro cup, spinach pie, meat pie and a slice of baklava. Everything tasted really good. The meat was served in a shredded/sliced style almost like a chipped ham. Salad had a great vinegarette base to it that was great with the extra hot peppers. I preferred the spinach pie over the meat pie, I felt it had more flavor and I wasn't too fond of the fluffy bread they use as a pocket to hold all the goodies in. The baklava was worth savoring. I took small bites at a time tasting the warm honey, walnuts and flaky crust. Delicious!! The owners were definitely personable and happy to please. I look forward to going back! read more

The only regret is that I live over 200 miles away. I chose Leena's based on the Yelp reviews and there were no lies. The food was delicious! Every now and then my palette was surprised with a hint of lemon flavor-just mmmm mmmmm. I got the gyro meat - tender and tasty - also got the chicken and it tasted as good as it looked. Had to wait for the chicken, not sure if that's all the time or because of the time if day I went. Well worth the 15 minute wait (who wants dried out chicken!). The service was as great as the food. Came out from LA to visit family and was driving through Murrysville looking for a place to eat. This place is hard to find as it's location inside Marathon gas station. My husband and I both ordered the gyro platter. Man, we can honestly say that this was the best food we've had out here! It's tough to find high quality food as everything is usually bar food! The meat is lean, clean, and perfectly cooked! The owner takes such pride in quality ingredients and quality food! The hot peppers he makes are amazing and so incredible he makes them from his own garden. Really sweet man and wish he had his one spot! Anyone who has ever seen this place but never tried it are probably confused how I could give it 5 stars. That's right my friends the restauraunt that shares a building with a Marathon Gas Station makes the best falafel you could hope to find. It took some encouragement from people I knew to get me to go in, but I am so glad I succumbed to peer pressure. I forgot my lunch for work so come quitting time I was pretty hungry. I stopped in for gas when my nose started making a very convincing argument drawing me in to Leena's foods. To be honest I don't know how it happened but next thing I knew I was staring down the fattest falafel known to man. The ingredients tasted so fresh, the chickpeas were clearly not from a can, the spices and sauces tasted so rich and authentic. And the bread engulfing him the whole meal was light and flaky just the way I like it. The thing that makes this good taste 10x better is the man making it. He is a one man shop making and doing everything from start to finish. I have been there many times since and the guy always has a story to tell. I really wish he would move to a sit down kind of place, as it is there are just a couple tables but you are clearly in a gas station. But this place is best for takeout anyway. Murrysville has tons of restaurants, but nothing really unique. Just the same old. One day, on my way to Wendy's for a ho hum burger, I looked at the side of the road and saw the "worlds greatest gyros" sign I had passed so often. I decided to pull in on a whim, and boy was it a good idea! I ordered the Gyro platter for $9. Well worth the money! You get a ton of meat, rice, hummus, two pitas, and a salad. On the way back from a visit to our son at Penn State, we looked for a place to eat and my wife found Leena's on Yelp. We were intrigued by the unusual combination of gas station and good food. We each had a gyro - cooked perfectly, excellent taziki sauce. We also ordered grape leaves and babaganooj with Pita. Everything was excellent and delicious. This is THEEE BEST place around to get a good gyro. They also make the most delish baclava (sp?) for dessert. They have a cool food truck that comes to my daughter's school for events. The Palestinian fare had reasonable prices, modest presentation, and delicious flavors. We had a gyro sandwich, falafel sandwich, side of tabbouleh, and baklava. As a lover of Mediterranean food, I can endorse that the falafel was fantastic - flavorful, excellent texture, cooked to perfection. This place is a perfect 'dont judge the book by the cover' example! Leena's is inside a marathon gas station and its kind of a hole in the wall but this place is solid. I have stopped at greek food spots up in cranberry/wexford area and this place is way better. The spices used for seasoning the chicken were stronger than other places and tasted great - perfectly balanced with the sauce that comes with the gyros. The pita bread is grilled - makes for a crunchy outer rim perfect for dipping in the hummus. The pita also had a sweet note to it which I really liked. The hummus was fresh with dices of veggies in it and more creamy but slightly less dense than your typical store bought hummus. Will become a regular here. read more
