First time dining here and we really enjoyed it!! Loved the rustic farmhouse decor and how clean and welcoming the restaurant felt. Staff was friendly, seated us right away, and our breakfast came out quickly. The Kale Tonic juice was refreshing, the Elevated Egg Sandwich was absolutely scrumptious, and the Blueberry Lemon Cornbread was unique and delicious. MESSED UP PEOPLE and HORRIBLE service, right after paying for my meal and stepping out the store the dude at the counter told me: "F**K OFF" for no reason. So i had to go back and confront him about it, he said it was his last day there and did not care about saying that to me with a smile on his face, he tried to justify it by saying that i should've tipped and that its horrible for not doing so because i got "good" service when he did not even serve me. This place should re-evaluate their personell and discipline them accordingly because they do know how to grind someones gears when your having a good time for no reason. I am visiting family for Thanksgiving and we wanted to grab a late lunch. It's conveniently located in a little shopping plaza with plenty of parking. There is a Publix too. There is a little covered patio which is dog friendly. We were seated promptly but did have to wait for our waitress to come. We seemed to wait a long time for our drinks too. After we ordered, the food came out fairly quickly. We ordered the lunch special: half of a sandwich and either salad or soup as your combo. We both got soup and sent both back as they were not hot at all. Our roast beef and harvarti sandwiches were great!!! I appreciate that they bring you a bottle of water and your own little kettle of hot water for tea. This place is a favorite with the locals. I'm sure it's slammed for breakfast. I don't usually leave reviews, but my recent visit left me disappointed enough to speak up. The meal started off on the wrong foot with extremely dried salty potatoes--borderline inedible. The eggs were overcooked lacking any flavor or finesse. Then came the biscuit with gravy, which was possibly the most unappetizing part of the meal. The gravy had the look of grey cornstarch and the same overly salty profile as everything else. It looked and tasted artificial, and the biscuit itself didn't do much to redeem it. To top it off, the total came to $45, (for two orders of biscuits and gravy with a side of two sausage links, and one piece of toast ) which is absurd for such poor quality food. Between the subpar cooking and heavy-handed seasoning, I can honestly say I will not be returning. Sadly, this place is a hard pass for me. Would not recommend. They knew we were unsatisfied and they didn't care. I did not ask for a discount or to take anything off my bill because that is not me- but....they should've offered. I understand it was the end of the day for them, but if they couldn't provide quality food, they should not have invited us in. I shouldn't have to pay for the bottom scrapings of a pan. Amazing food. Got carne asada breakfast and ricotta french toast. Got two of there morning drinks a kale apple wonderfulness and a turmeric red drink...both flavorful and interesting. Was here for a baseball tournament with less than an hour to eat in between games. Ordering on First Watch's site and grabbing the food only 10 minutes later was a life saver. So much healthier than any Starbucks or fast food joint. My egg and cheese with avocado, arugula and garlic aioli on sourdough was amazing. Tables being seated after us got attended to right away and so we left after sitting for 30 minutes. This place is always clean inside. I first ordered an unsweetened tea due to my diabeetus. The sugahs got it out for me. I added the sweeteners they provide and they were ok I guess. Nothing beats good old fashioned regular sugar. Then I ordered the chickichanga (I think that's how you spell it) and substituted the potatoes for some grits. I've been holding off on reviewing this place because nothing exceptionally good or bad as happened to me here we just have a dependably solid time in terms of food and service every time. It's just as good as the first watch on Livingston, except that one has a better view because it is not located next to a Wing Stop like this is. I really hope this was an off day. The service was really rough - starting with the hostess. I checked in on Yelp's Waitlist - which was definitely the right move. We came in on a BUSY Sunday, so it definitely cut our wait time in at least half. When I walked in and informed the hostess that I had already checked in on waitlist, she muttered "ok" and then walked away. She didn't give any direction to us, so tell us how long the rest of our wait might be. The Waitlist was pretty accurate, but the restaurant might want to make sure they're providing some follow-up communication in-person. Once seated, we waited a really long time for our server to come over. She poured a half cup of coffee, left the carafe and didn't come back for another 20 minutes. We ended up stealing an empty mug from another table while we were waiting for her to return. When she finally took our order, she seemed a bit bothered by our questions, but I totally understand that the restaurant was crazy busy. I get nervous when the server doesn't take my questions seriously, because I have allergies. Our food finally came after about 45 minutes, and it all tasted really nice. I ordered the grain bowl with salsa verde chicken. The grains were a little undercooked and the bowl was a little sloppy, but the flavors matched really well! My mom got Eggs Benedict and she loved it! Overall, the food was okay, but the service really lacked communication. We enjoyed so much going to this location bc it's next to our house. We have gone to the original by the beach but find it to be more cozy in this spot. We both had something new and don't regret it. My husband had the salmon frittata with potatoes and salad I had the Florida French toast and the maple syrup is hot so that was a good little surprise. All in all great experience read more
