Very fresh foods prepared to order. Most meals are in the $10-20 range. Beverages are a bit on the high side, price wise. Wait staff is friendly and efficient. Restaurant ambience is nice, though the air conditioning was set at too low a temperature for us. As a result, our freshly prepared meals cooled off too quickly. Next time we'll dine outdoors if the weather is amenable. We were not keen on the spices in some dishes, some of which were applied with a heavy hand that rendered them inedible. And some menu offerings had minor objectionable ingredients that couldn't be left out upon request, which was unfortunate because they sounded interesting otherwise. That said, First Watch has some of the best omelets and salads in town. Thus the mixed review. Update: We've tried First Watch twice more for breakfast. Undercooked eggs have been a problem on all our visits and this has not improved. So we won't be coming here for breakfast again. Food is usually fantastic, but our server, Alyssa ruined it. She left our food under the heat lamps so long, that my poached eggs for salad. We actually had two tables Sat after us get their food first! We also asked for new poached eggs and waited over 10 minutes for them. Had a great brunch. I ordered the pumpkin spice pancakes, which I normally don't get anything pumpkin. They were amazing. It came with a chicken sausage and two eggs over easy, or however you want. They were very delicious and will recommend First Watch to anybody. read more

First watch is a pretty generic brunch chain that isn't exactly bad, but is just very middling and bland in every single way. Except the price, that was kind of high for what you are getting here. The atmosphere is nice enough, and the staff was actually pretty great. Had breakfast this morning at the North Port location. We have eaten at First Watch in Ohio so we knew what to expect. But prices have been raised since our last visit. Although the resturant was empty the server kept pushing us to order. For what reason, who knows? Two omelets and two coffees - $26+. Add a tip and we had a $30 breakfast. I must have caught the Chef on a Bad day! First the girl who took my order wasn't listening to me at all and wrote down wrong order. I ordered the Chorizo Chili omlet. When my order arrived it was basically a Cheese omlet with no Chorizo, no Avocado and no taste! I asked the girl " Where is the Chorizo"? I opened my Omlette and showed her that it was missing the main ingredients. She said " It's in the Sausage". there was no Sausage Anywhere! She said portions are weighed out. I walked in hoping for a quick meal before work and then wanted call in to work late! The food tasted amazing and the service friendly. Adrian (I hope I spelled that right) was my server. She knew her menu, recommended a great side selection and had a smile the whole time. She refreshed my drink when needed but did not constantly interrupt when she saw I was reading the news. I love the environment, menu, and decor at First Watch. The food, however, is hit or miss. One time, I got avocado toast made with overripe avocado (not very appetizing!). I wish that I could give zero stars. We had a party of 10, 7 adults and 3 small children. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait. 30 minutes passed, 40, we waited patiently for an HOUR. We were told we were next yet more time passed and more tables got sat that arrived way after us. When we finally asked to speak with a manager, Gina said they don't wait to put tables together for groups. 1. No one ever told us that. 2. How would you ever seat a larger group if you don't plan for them. The management was inefficient and we never got sat. Terrible experience especially with several small children waiting over an hour to eat. We chose to leave an ear somewhere nearby that was able to seat and serve us efficiently.
