When we needed something, I was constantly turning my head to make eye contact with someone and hoping that someone would see my raised hand at some point. Food: 2/5 My biscuit and gravy dish was okay. I did not enjoy it. The sausage was grounded/ minced into the gravy and it wasn't fragrant or appealing. Potatoes that came with it were not crispy at all. They were mushy and bland. I didn't even finish my food despite being hungry The million dollar maple bacon special was nothing special. My advice is to order something else on the money that's around the same price because it was not worth it. There were 4 pieces of bacon on the plate on it and save yourself the disappointment. It looked so sad. If you're gonna name a dish "million dollar" bacon, at least make it look appealing to the eye!! Ive never had carrot cake pancakes before and I love carrot cake, so I was amused and excited! I think they were slightly overdone because they were a bit dry. So happy to have a First Watch so much closer to home. We used to go to the Mills location, which is great, but now I'm a regular at this one already. They have one long communal table that always has available seats for us. We dont mind not having our own table, especially when there's a long brunch wait on the weekends. The service is always helpful, friendly, and quick. The menu has many options from eggs, to pancakes, waffles, frittatas, fruits&granola, sandwiches, salads, and more. Came here with my boys. Really they're men since they're almost 24 and almost 25...smh! Anyway, they weren't too impressed with the food. My Benedict was not bad but definitely lacked a tad bit more smoked salmon. I couldn't really taste the salmon more than I could the tomatoes. However, I did enjoy the Morning Meditation juice so much that I had two! Maybe with a splash of vodka, I would have given this review 5 stars. Just kidding uhmmm...maybe not. First Watch was one of my highlights during my recent Orlando trip with friends! Surprisingly, I wasn't going to wait out the 23 minute wait time. Glad we decided to! Ummm...no. Just no. This $12 breakfast is just as pitiful as it looks. I had high hopes when First Watch opened just around the corner from where I live. However, I'm over it. May as well continue to order from Denny's for a much more reasonable cost. The "Yes, it's fresh label" is a complete farce. I would have chalked today up to an anomaly but for the face that this is the SECOND time on a two-day period that I ended up with cold and dry food! The pancakes are so dry, I feel like I need to water them. It's taking me forever to write this review because I'm still pouring syrup on 'em to help moisten them. Now, I did have Jennifer G from First Watch reach and and offered to send me a gift card to allow them to provide me with a different experience. I was grateful for the effort and accepted. The card I received indicated 'Dine In Only' so I chose not to use it today because... COVID-19. ‍ So I paid...again for an order 'To Go'. Once again, by the time I made the long and arduous five minute drive home and took an additional three minutes to get inside, the food was barely lukewarm. With an aggrieved sigh, I rolled up my sleeves and popped it into the microwave for a few seconds and when I went to move the pancake from the carton to the plate it broke apart and a bunch of batter cane flowing out. I looked at the carton and gave the eggs the side-eye. I KNEW they didn't look right. I grabbed a fork and cut into them and they started running like Usain Bolt. I repacked everything, grabbed my purse and keys, and headed back to First Watch. I asked to speak with the manager, explained the situation, asked for a refund and turned in the free gift card. Wow wow wow!! What a unique find in a location you wouldn't think to look. "First Watch" took me by surprise because I never expected such a great "high quality" brunch spot in our local shopping center. The restaurant is small but spaced very well so access with my wheelchair was easy and very comfortable. I did not feel in the way at all once I was seated. The restaurant is a really cool country kitchen and upscale healthy food fusion. The atmosphere is nice and casual, the staff is super nice and attentive, and the quality of food is absolutely amazing. They offer everything from healthy fresh juices to fresh coffees with flavored creamers. High quality organic ingredients and delicious combination dishes. The million dollar bacon blew my mind and tastebuds. I would highly recommend giving it a try if your looking for a great breakfast/ brunch spot. This place is delicious! The servers are attentive but it was definitely busy. If you are crunched for time this may not be the place, or order pick up. I ordered the avo toast and it was perfect! It is a great size and they do not skimp on the avocado. They add a bit of lemon and it has a great flavor. Next time I would order over medium eggs but that is just a preference. When I first walked in everything was busy but organized I got seated immediately and the hostess was very kind! I did come alone so I had a smaller size table right by the window which is nice. The restaurant is very nice I've been to a first watch in south Florida so I was expecting the same exact interior design but it's not! It's still unique and pretty. I order the salmon frittata and it was delicious the salmon it's self was little too salty for me but still very good. The mimosas are also just fine aswell! The food got here at great speed and the server brought me everything I needed when I needed it! One thing that made me a little upset was that she didn't check in to see if I was gonna order anymore food after I started eating :) she just handed me a check and said "once you finish up you can check out with the hostess up front" and it's not the end of the world that she made my lunch a little quicker than I expected BUT it would have been nice to be asked if I wanted to order anything else before she got the check. Some of the other drinks can be a little too sweet for me. I tried the smoked salmon tzaziki seasonal dish they have and absolutely loved it! It was a lot more than I was expecting though but I happily inhaled it. I usually do the market veggie hash, and at least one pancake, each and every time I go. I tried First Watch three times before I wrote this review and let me say I'm just a little obsessed. Ok maybe a lot! Lol Before going, I already was a fan of the standard they hold as far as preparing their food with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. I was happy to see plenty of items on the menu that go from healthy to savory so that I could fulfill my hunger no matter what mood. This particular First Watch, though new, seemed to be in great working order. Waiters were friendly and tables were clean. Average breakfast diner noise. But not your average food! I have eaten the farm stand breakfast tacos and the elevated egg sandwich twice, because it's that good. You wouldn't think that a breakfast sandwich could make you close your eyes and be content with your entire life, but trust me it's that good. I scarfed down the breakfast tacos as well, so I would order them again. I just think it needed a little crunch to offset all the softer components. Overall, great place, amazing food! Went here on sunday morning and wasn't too busy, people started rolling in at around 9:30am. Our server only checked on us twice and it was to ask what we were going to order(drinks,food). The iced coffee was creamy and very delicious. The parma hash wasn't a lot of food but it was pretty good, the "mushroom" was a gigantic mushroom i guess they forgot to cut and split, there were around 4 small cut pieces throughout. Visited the brand new Lee Vista location the weekend before Mother's Day to avoid the crowds. It was only a 15-minute wait after being told 30, so not bad at all. The hostess kept her head down most of the time and I could hardly hear her as it's a noisy place. The hostess at a bustling breakfast place should be energetic and friendly. Not a great interaction to start but the rest of the visit was good. If you've been to other older locations, this one is a departure with industrial meets rustic decor. It was noisier than other locations, so be aware of that. Our server was friendly and kind, offered to pour my coffee to leave room for cream. Loved that! She was attentive even though it was fairly busy (1:30 pm on a Sunday). Hubby commented that the food had become 'fru fru' since our last visit 2 years ago in Ft. Lauderdale. We are familiar with the chain from living in Kansas City, Mo. The food is decidedly more health conscious now, but breakfast staples still offered for the traditional breakfast eater. I had biscuits and gravy with turkey sausage gravy, scrambled eggs with gruyere cheese added and breakfast potatoes. All was delicious. The eggs were top quality. Gravy tasted like it was made from scratch. I couldn't tell the difference between that and regular sausage gravy. Million dollar bacon was too heavy on cayenne for our taste. Otherwise tasted as it should. My teenage son said his grilled cheese sandwich was really delicious and fresh fruit side was yummy too. Tables were socially distanced, staff were wearing protection, hand sanitizer at the door, and check-in is done all through your phone via text. My boyfriend and I were promptly seated but waited a bit for our waitress. She seemed overwhelmed but was polite. We had ordered hot tea, million dollar bacon, and a couple of omlettes. It took a bit, but we eventually got our tea and soon the meals. Unfortunately, she had forgotten about the bacon. I asked her about it though and she apologized, said it was on her. The omlettes were great, especially mine which was had smoked salmon. It was evenly cooked, fluffy, and bursting with flavor. My boyfriend loved his, the works, and it was completely stuffed with ingredients. When we finally got the bacon, it was beautiful. Completely worth the wait. It was so crispy, with sweet maple, and a hint of spice (I think it was cajun), a wonderful explosion in one bite. I wonder if you can figure out what I loved most By the time we hit the register, the hostess checked us out and seemed to have an issue with our ticket. When she gave us the total and I checked the receipt, they still charged us for the bacon. She asked me if I wanted a refund but I didn't bother. The bacon was delicious. Even though I was salty, the sweet, fatty kick of that million dollar bacon made it worth it Really the four stars is for not delivering on their promise for free bacon.
