Best breakfast that has whole local food cooked for royal Kings & Queens--the kale tonic is to die for --great way to start the day

Awesome breakfast and service. I had the Traditional Breakfast...two eggs over easy, pork sausage, mixed greens, multi grain toast and a side of the most amazing cheese grits I've tasted in Florida! One less star because the eggs over easy were a little raw when I began digging in. Oh and the drink I had was equally amazing. I think it was called morning sunrise. It had orange juice, beet juice, turmeric and nectar agave. Definitely will be getting that again. With so many restaurants lacking in quality and customer service First Watch in Palm Harbor hit it right. Making over easy eggs is challenging for most chefs so I'm not letting that damper my truly great experience. read more

This resteraunt was a real treat. As i venture to Palm Harbor to stay in my condo every few months from Seattle, i like to venture out and try new places. This place hits as one of my top places for breakfast. Ambiance is great, decor fun (i farm in washington so this decor is my speed), the menu is diverse, they bring you a carafe of coffee (if you order coffee), they are prompt at taking your order, the food arrives hot and they are attentive to your requests and needs (more creamer, extra sugar, ice water, etc.). I personally love the Tri Fecta, you cant stop eating the berry compote !!! Divine. I had to ask for seconds !!! Delicious and I am going back soon. read more

Delicious! Came in for breakfast and Carly was my server. She was friendly and attentive. I had the breakfast sandwich with avocado, bacon and fried egg. It was delicious and my potatoes were cooked extra crispy just like i asked. Will definitely be back! read more

First experience at a first watch and was impressed by their bacon and service was great here. First Watch's million dollar bacon is the only constant for me across the board I'm visiting many of their locations. The service is always very different from incredibly hospitable, fast, and attentive to quite the opposite. Everything always looks great but just isn't there for me in terms of breakfast food and for what you pay for and the wait that is often involved as well. I came looking for something to eat, I'd been here in the past and was hoping for something GOOD. What I got was Ok. I decided I didn;t want breakfast fare, but opted for Coffee to drink anyway. No less than 3 people touched my table in some way or another. First, I watied more than 5 minutes to be seated. Not because they were busy, I came at 1:30 pm. I waited because there was no one on the floor. The waitstaff was doing end of day work, the one lady bussing tables was busy and finally the Manager sat me. He asked me what I wanted to drink, I told him coffee.. A few minutes later, a waitress comes to my table and asks what I wanted to drink.. I told her coffee too. *shrug* Ok. Anyway, the coffee was delivered, and it smelled and tasted rich and decadent. When I ordered my food, I opted for an open faced chicken salad sandwich (Topped with mozz cheese and tomato slices) and a bowl of tomato/basil soup. The food came quickly and was delivered by the third person, a gentleman, who I asked for a glass of water from. That came quickly too, but no in the standard milk bottle, he just brought me a glass. The food was tasty. The Basil tomato soup was good, but lacked depth. What could have made it better would have been croutons and parmesan cheese. I asked for some, and the waitress said she didn't have any parmesan cheese in the place - this despite their menu having one or more dishes offering that cheese as an ingredient. The sandwich was tasty, nothing to write home about. All in all, the food is Ok. I might try again, i might not. read more

If you don't mind spending your hard earned money once in a while it is worth the stop. For the older generation it is expensive to say the least. I have had the pleasure of eating many breakfast places in the USA. Keep the price reasonably competitive and it will be worth the stop more often than once and good bye! Wow, I can't believe how far downhill First Watch has gone! Poor service, server never brought part of one of our meals despite us asking twice, the inside of an omelette was so browned it was extremely difficult to cut which we tried to point out but she just kept walking. It was overcooked to the point the cheese was rock hard and fused into the egg and not melty like it should be, and quite frankly inedible, when the server finally came back with our check and we asked to have the part of the meal not delivered taken off the bill she asked if we wanted a box for the burnt omelette. Umm, nope. Then she said she'd go get the rest of the missing meal, too late for that!! This was once a great place for Sunday brunch, should have known when the wait was only ten minutes read more

After hearing so much about First Watch, I finally made it here. I intended to have their famous breakfast but I rolled in much later than I i expected, and decided to try one of their lunches. I ordered the veggie burger topped with mixed greens and avocado, along with a side of broccoli cheddar soup (Soup of the Day). I cannot express enough how fresh and obviously homemade everything tasted! I came in with a severe hunger and I couldn't even finish my meal. You get a complimentary whole BOWL of soup with your sandwich! The service was friendly and professional in this clean restaurant. I look forward to a return visit. read more

I was not a huge fan of First Watch in the past, just another breakfast diner. However that all changed with their new menu and interior updates. Spring Menu: I would suggest trying a monthly special. The Ancient Grains Protein Bowl was goooood. Yum! Also tried the Matcha Latte Pancakes, Chicken Chimichurri Hash, and million dollar . I washed it all down with new Acai Squeeze from the Juice Bar. Look forward to going back for the summer menu. read more

Extremely disappointed with the French toast, it was way too eggy and too sweet. Left more than half of my breakfast on the table and was never asked if there was an issue. Just handed the check and told to have a nice day. Then when I went to pay the cashier asked how everything was and I told her I wasn't happy, all she said was sorry, thank you for coming. Nobody seemed to care, so forget about coming back again. On a side note the wife's oatmeal was really good. read more

We try and avoid going out to eat on the weekends. However we found ourselves out and in need of breaking not only on a Sunday but a holiday as well. Not to worry! Reserved my place in line, showed up, the only reason I had to wait at all was because they were trying to accommodate seating me with a stroller. The interior has a rather modern, country home feel to it and is a beautifully open-spaced layout, which makes it feel more welcoming. The server was friendly, attentive and offered suggestions. I came in for the truffled mushroom frittata (sucker for anything truffled), but alas, they were sadly out. So, I went with the smoked salmon frittata - the mild creaminess from the chive sauce paired with the saltiness from the salmon and tang of the roasted sun dried tomatoes made for a delightful combination of flavors. First Watch is my favorite place to go to breakfast. When guests visit me from out of state, they also enjoy the great tasting food at First Watch. My favorite is the Floridian French Toast, which includes fresh fruit (bananas, strawberries, and kiwi), and their fresh oatmeal, which also comes with fresh fruit and nuts, and a delicious muffin of the day, which is usually blueberry muffins, and sometimes chocolate chip muffins. This has become my go to for a fairly quick, healthy option for lunch and breakfast. It is a little yuppy but overall the staff is friendly and welcoming. Food The seasonal options can be amazing. My wife and I are addicted to the AM SUPERFOODS BOWL which is chia pudding with fresh seasonal berries, a coulis of berries, granola and a side of multigrain toast w almond butter. I substitute the bread for two scrambled and they never balk at my request. The quinoa bowls are very tasty Great for lunch. The pick two are a bargain. The Ham and Gruyere melt is rockstar choice- w dijonnaise and a salad or soup. Lots of combos there that rival and I think best Paneras. Eggs and such- lots of choices of frittatas & omelettes, pancakes, Etc. Bacon is first quality. Drinks- they have fresh squeezed juice options that are very healthy and tasty! Overall, give it a try. Fist Watch also has 100% real maple syrup if you ask for it (a $1.29 up charge). The wait was 10-15 minutes at about 10 am on a Sunday in September. It got busier as the morning rolled on, so get there early -- especially during the busy season! After we got there, we realized we could have added ourselves to the waitlist online ahead of time! They always have no problem preparing the food just the way you like it and it always comes out in good timing and nice and warm. I've been to at least a half a dozen other First Watches and this one takes the cake! I live the Farmhouse Skillet Hash and the Salmon Eggs Benedict. However I have never had a bad meal here. My Birthday Brunch here was a disappointing. My Breakfast food that arrived in front of me barely warm. One Belgium Waffle with a dusty powder substance 'not cinnamon' on it. Very disappointed with two my eggs being overcooked and dry. My son asked for a to go cup for his drink and he had to go back to our table from checkout to fill it up from his used cup? Doesn't sound like proper restaurant etiquette at all. What's even more surprising is when we were asked at checkout how my meal was I explained and was told it would be noted. Where? So First Watch how does one request a full refund for this meal as it's a really bad taste in my mouth, with poor to a bad meal with bad service? read more

New menu - meh. Well - I wrote that line in a draft 2 years ago, and it about sums up my feelings about "First Watch" to this day. It's certainly a more healthy option than, say, Waffle House - but the vibe here, to me, is just "I'm trying too hard". People in other reviews seem to crap themselves that this place has things like fresh strawberries - wow, yeah, they have fresh fruit. And you're gonna pay for it. Servers are always nice enough - but you are just another face in a long, eager crowd. So, there's enough people gushing about how awesome this place it to more than displace this middle-of-the-road review, but for me, it's just another place cashing in on the pseudo-healthy trend. Quinoa waffles will still kill you if you slather them in 2 tablespoons of butter and and a half-cup of maple syrup. Get over yourself, First Watch. read more
