They have a Senior Menu for those who still consider themselves young.

Standard Village Inn food, nothing more or less. They took over another restaurant so the layout is a little more open, fresh and a bit quieter than the usual Village Inn. Our server (Morgan) was prompt and friendly. I do not like restaurants that automatically add tip to the check as it de incentivizes good service. Morgan, however, did a good job. Anyway, automatic tipping automatically goes down to a 3 star to start as the highest I will give.

55+ menu item chicken fried steak, biscuit, gravy, side salad, and a cappuccino

55+ menu offered this yummy lunch!! Plus pie!! I also ordered a cappuccino! My husband got the waffles w/chicken and it was great !nice size portion. Our server, Brielle, was excellent !! The restaurant was very clean & spacious. They even have a separate room for networking groups or parties. A must try. Great menu w/excellent pricing. Some people may be turned off by the 18% tip that is added to each check ~ Don't let that deter you. Village Inn is coming back strong!

Great prices, great service, and fresh made food. Came in for Good Friday for their $17$18 all you can eat fish fry... each bite was fresh and crispy. Service was impeccable too. While we didn't drink, they have a small bar and happy hour from 3-6. Love this local staple.

So thrilled there is still a Village Inn nearby! I was so sad when the one on Race Track closed. (Again). We arrived about 1pm on a Wednesday and waited a few minutes for staff to come up to the front. Even though it looked very busy, they still had a booth for us! Our server, Matteo, was wonderful! Happy, friendly, and very pleasant. Menu hasn't changed much from what I remember, although, I noticed you can now get the breakfast burrito in a bowl which I thought was very convenient. I stuck with my favorite, low-carb "build your own"...2 eggs, cheese omlette, bacon and sausage links. Hubster got his favorite, the Ultimate Skillet. Food is still good, pancakes still fluffy, now that we know they're here, we will definitely be regulars! Hubster's big hint: bring your own maple syrup if you like 100% real Vermont/Canadian syrup.

    Shot sized senior juice

Pros: Great sized restaurant with tons of seating! Nice location and love the drink menu. Con's: the cook leaves a lot to be desired. Tried this place twice now and both times the food was murdered. Asked for light hashbrowns and they came out burnt. Literally to a crisp! Asked for soft poached eggs and the yolk was totally cooked through. Requested a re-do on the eggs and very little improvement was made but in addition it had some dark gross tasting brown stuff of them. Potatoes were deep fried in the Ultimate skillet and veggies were so tiny it was hard to get any in a bite. The 'juice' with the senior citizens coffee was insulting to say the least. Came in a shot sized cup as if I were a child. Really hope they either get this cook some training or get a new one but can't say I'll be rushing back any time soon.

    Breakfast for lunch.

They charge at 18% service fee, which is disgusting. That's why so many people have stopped going there and their ratings are bad.

I discovered Fat Beet in my search for the healthiest sourdough bread in Tampa. This place and…read moreSammi's were at the top of my list after all my inquiries. In my mind however, when I read they had a bakery, a market, served breakfast and lunch I planned a full morning of activities. Breakfast and the farms market were to be my first stops. Unfortunately, I got there a little after 8am and found out their market did not open til 10am. Not only that, they do not sell fruits and vegetables, my assumption, at their market, it's a barn where outside vendors sell their wares. The food in their cases was very tempting, the salads looked amazing and so did the soups. The fact is however, that common folk such as I would be hard pressed to afford their meals on a regular basis once I am buying for the family. Salad is $15, $30 once I get one for my wife, a fair price, but I would be splurging. The soup was more affordable and I could share with my wife. I got the Roasted Tomato Soup and a loaf of Sourdough. I should have bought extra for the freezer. They do have a kitchen, a bakery and a small farm store. I ordered my breakfast at the kiosk and then shopped the store. There is a farm to table selection of meals, soups and salads in the fridge cases. A very nice and healthy assortment to take home. There was coffee, matcha and fresh beverages behind the counter as well as cold drinks in the fridges. The kitchen offered all day breakfast choices, soups sandwiches and salads. There were baked goods everywhere. Cookies, cakes, pies and many other confections. Of course, plenty of their Sourdough bread and their Biscuits seem to be a popular option for breakfast. My Grilled Cheese was delicious with a small bowl of Toamato Soup. I was done fairly quick, and back on the road. I did not wait to see the market and it was too early for the Oldmar Flea Market. There is plenty of parking on the side field if the lot gets full. Lots of people were just picking up stuff to take home. It's an awesome place to visit and get breakfast or lunch. I love their shop. Come get ya some!
