    Watermelon Wake-Up
    Adrienne C.

I went here for breakfast with a friend. It took a few minutes to be greeted but once we were, the hostess was nice. The inside appeared to be clean. The waiter was nice but we didn't see him much. I got the traditional breakfast with chicken sausage patties, eggs, potatoes, and toast. I also got the toffee crunch iced coffee. The food was good but the potatoes were slightly undercooked and the chicken sausage seemed like a frozen patty with a weird texture. I thought they made the sausage in-house. My friend got the watermelon pineapple drink and said it was good. She also got the turkey sausage biscuits and gravy which she enjoyed. I will note that they emphasize that a lot of the juices are fresh but when I asked if I could get the Watermelon drink without pineapple because I allergic, I was told no because they make the juice in big batches. I found that to be interesting. The restroom was clean.

This has become my favorite breakfast spot and I end up eating here at least once a week. The food is always fresh, the service is consistently great, and it is an easy place to keep coming back to. If you have not tried the Honey Butter Biscuit Bites yet, do yourself a favor and order them. They are hands down my favorite thing on the menu. I probably eat way too many of them, but they are absolutely worth it every single time.

Good overall and consistent with other locations but what is up with the potatoes? Something needs to change. The last 5 times I've been here their potatoes are way too salty and greasy.

The biscuits are amazing as well!

I love this First Watch location due to the friendly staff and atmosphere. The place is cozy and has modern decor that is surrounded around the restaurant. I do highly recommend calling ahead or making a reservation during Holliday season or the weekends since it will be packed. I like coming here during the weekdays and I still get amazing service! Food was tasty and very much affordable. I enjoyed the various options and how satisfied I am when I walk out the doors. Highly recommend giving First Watch a chance, you will not be disappointed

The best breakfast place. The omelets made with real eggs. The mushrooms are amazing in omelet. The bacon is the million dollar bacon, coffee is fresh. Tamiko the server is amazing, as well as the mgr, Lisa is great..

Super welcoming and friendly staff, the food was amazing, having tried so many breakfast spots this one is a new go to. Definitely recommend it!

I have NOT had a working breakfast in a long time. This location was perfect and had yummy food. It was fun and prepping for our meeting. I had to fuel up on the ham and cheese omelette, potatoes, and multigrain bread. It was perfect to get geared up for a meeting onsite in person! The service was attentive and fast.

First Watch is a stop we always make each trip to the Phoenix area. It's a great menu that offers a large selection of food and beverages, very innovative. Our server was slammed and took a few minutes to get our order, but once she did all kept rolling well! She made sure to check back with just the right amount of times without it being too much, and had a very bubbly personality even during the rush. The interior is modern and clean, and the food is always delicious! Wish we had one of these in the Seattle area where we lack great breakfast options.

Love the decor and ambiance. The seating makes it feel private. Not a ton of people on a Friday morning. Our server Rachel was lovely and understanding. My friend had to run so we ordered and got our checks immediately. She split our checks and we could pay via QR code which was convenient. The food came quickly. They brought an extra carafe of hot coffee for self service refills. When my friend asked for a to go cup for his coffee, they brought one filled with fresh coffee. The million dollar bacon is worth it! 4 thick slices, evenly cooked with a bit of chew and crisp. The pepper is strong and the maple syrup balances the spice. The BLT eggs Benedict was delicious. I love arugula and the extra toss in lemon sauce added a nice zest to the heavier hollandaise sauce. The egg yolk was runny. Bacon and tomatoes were solid. The side of salad is a nice healthy option that a lot of brunch places lack. A great balance of protein and veggies. Would definitely get this again.

It was my first time visiting a First Watch and I can definitely say that I'm not disappointed! My husband and I went on a Friday morning and it fortunately not packed. Our server was AMAZING and super attentive. He answered our questions about the menu, made recommendations, and came back several times to check on us. It's the kind of service that's hard to get even in places 5x more expensive than this. The establishment is clean and well-kept. The atmosphere is on the more formal side of casual? And the food is great! Everything we ordered was super tasty. Don't forget to try their seasonal drinks as well!

It's still one of my favorite places for breakfast it's fresh, it's healthy, and it's always leaves me feeling good at the end of my meal. I really love their BLT Eggs Benedict. They are served on chabbatta bread instead of English muffin. The eggs are always poached perfectly and nestled on top of crispy bacon, tomato, and avocado. The hollandaise is light with a lemony finish, and the Arugula topping completes the dish. It is served with their yummy house potatoes at $13.99. My wife doesn't like bacon, so she always gets the Florentine. The decor is a rustic farmhouse, and the service staff is friendly and attentive. always a good experience.

I've only heard great things and it was such a pleasure to make a visit. The interior is ultra modern, and art-centered. On a Wednesday morning, there was one staff member holding it down and a wait/line with about 5-6 people, so the wait was about 15-20 minutes in total-- including ordering and waiting for drinks. There was mainly only paid street parking options, but it wasn't hard to find any right in front of the shop. I got two drinks: Más and Abeja, to try their matcha and coffee, and really thoroughly enjoyed both. The matcha is a little bit on the milkier side, but I did enjoy that it was completely unsweetened, and leaned on the vanilla cold foam for a light sweetness. I think I enjoyed the coffee more personally, as the honey paired super well with the espresso and oat milk. The espresso is very good. I would come back if I was in the area, I just wish the parking situation was a little different!

There is a restroom near the back entrance, and the start to the line to place an order is right near the front entrance. I saw in one of the comfy chairs while I waited for my former student to arrive. At that point, we moved to a regular table and then went and ordered drinks. She ordered a coffee, and I ordered a lemonade. We both enjoyed our drinks which were ready very quickly. There were smaller and larger tables, and there were also countertops along with business cards and marketing items at the back of the room on a thin table. Lola Coffee began with humble beginnings going back to 1992 with a cart, then Lux Coffee, and eventually Lola Coffee downtown. Now, there is even a second Lola Coffee location in Arcadia near 40th Street and Indian School. Today, they serve coffee, pastries, and breakfast. The Downtown Phoenix location hours are weekdays from 6:30 AM to 7 PM and weekends from 7 AM to 7 PM. You can see their menu, history, photos, and more on their website (https://lolacoffeebarphx.com). While I had trouble choosing between a lemonade for a cold beverage or hot chocolate for a warm beverage, it's great they have so many options. Again, try them for drinks, breakfast, or pastries. Their staff is so helpful and the actual restaurant is quite welcoming to everyone.

I also ordered their mini blue corn donuts with berry glaze (6 for $4) because they're very good. And I got one of their cute stickers ($3). Service was friendly and welcoming. The affogato was pay as you can donation which is a nice touch. The espresso was strong but mixed with the ice cream was a good balance. It's a fantastic coffee shop designed with simplicity and producivity in mind - hosted in a gorgeous building with exposed brick and ceilings, which give it an industrial feel. My take on the space was it breathes this interesting balance of lingering, connection with others, and productivity. Almost every seat had a corresponding table, so that's a warm invitation to bring your devices in. There was a Ducati (!!!) parked right across from the coffee bar, which I later learned belongs to the owner just sharing his passion with the coffee community. Small detail, but it says something about the place. Definitely not a coffee shop trying to be a copy and paste chain. Menu had a few creative options I wouldn't mind coming back to try. They've also got their own merch line; the cups were also designed well enough that you'd actually want to keep one. There's street art right across from the shop worth a look if you've got a few minutes to spare. If you don't mind a short drive for a great cup and a space that actually feels lived in, this one delivers. PS - Parking can be tricky. It looks like there's ample space to park, but a lot of that is for Galvanize and the offices in the building. Towing trucks come over often, so heads up if you're going to park there. The housemade syrups are a refreshing upside from the commercial syrups used at a lot of coffee shops. Almond and oatmilk substitutes are available. I like that you can add more syrup to up the sweetness, but it will cost ya. TOUCH GRASS (seasonal)- this strawberry match had a nice sweet and bitter balance of the matcha. The creaminess also mellowed out the whole drink. It is very mild with the strawberry so the sweetness was subtle. Not bad, but depending if you want more strawberry flavor you should add extra shot of strawberry syrup. Overall I think it was a really good strawberry matcha; one of the best I've had. The inside is large and spacious but very sterile like a museum. It kinda gave a cold ambiance. The only downside is that the parking lot is not huge. The spaces in the actual lot are very sparse. The side lot for parking is inconvenient as you have to walk around the long fence just to go in, so trying to get in and out quickly might be a problem. You can definitely get your coffee buzz here, but just remember folks, buzzed driving is caffeinated driving.
