The roast beef I got was fresh and the greens were outstanding and the horseradish was really good. I have eaten at this First Watch restaurant at Park Central in the past and have been pleased. Although the wait staff was attentive and the coffee was hot, my omelette was not (warm at best) . It was less than I had hoped for. First Watch used to serve the best omelettes - what happened!!! I was obviously disappointed. There are other options is the area. Everytime I come here, there's always smiles and great service. Today, I ordered the Elevated egg sandwich. I ordered it with an oe egg, and three bites in i realized there was no ooey gooey goodness. I waited about five minutes before the waitress came to check on me. I let her know that the order was wrong. She gave me my ticket and said, "oh ok I'm sorry about that," and stared at me. I'm a paying customer and not everything I do is right, but if I'm going to pay for something I want to pay for what I ordered. I don't want anything free, just want the order right. This morning, I placed an order for avocado toast. I spoke with a gal and she asked me near the end of our phone call, "do you know where we are located?" I responded, "central and thomas?" and she told me that was correct and we ended our phone call. I went to the first watch on thomas and central, which is the wrong location. The correct location is EARL and central, I wasted 20-25 minutes of my time at another location. The other location contacted this one and asked if they had an order for Rachel. They told them, "yes we do". So i leave and go to the earl and central location. Right when I show up, a male at the front desk told me "uh oh.. I don't see the order here." UH, they thomas and central location JUST called you. I wait another 7 minutes and finally get my order. Now my boyfriend and I are rushing out of our Airbnb because of this unprofessional mess. I was able to pair that with the Sweet Honey Pecan Salad had Organic mixed greens, romaine, all-natural chicken breast, bacon, toasted pecans, avocado, tomatoes and carrots with Cheddar and Monterey Jack. I often eat at one or another of the first watch restaurant. They have a very broad mix of food choices. That way everyone can get traditional breakfast items as well as some newer creative items. I love the omelettes because they do not over cook them. That's important to me. I don't prefer brown omelettes. The service is most often very competent. And they are quick to refill your coffee or tea or water. I also like the fact that the side item that comes with your omelette is a small mixed green salad instead of potatoes. That might be an option you can get but it's not for me. Plus I'm not a big one for bread so they will substitute sliced tomatoes. I appreciate win restaurants are flexible that way. read more

It's a close by place for me to have lunch/brunch. You get lots of good options - healthy and yummy! If Phoenix weather allows you to sit outside, on a lazy Sunday, the patio sitting with sprinklers makes Sunday brunch just wow! I like the freshly brewed coffee with hazelnut milk and Italian wedding soup! Their frittata rustica is also really good! The only negative I would say is the slow service. Hey guys, if you want to prep these in mass quantities, fine. Just put them back in a toaster or waffle iron for a minute before you bring them out. Stuff won't even melt butter in summer. Ordered cheese grits and they came out half cooked. Hard centers. Sent them back and they did take them off the bill. Oh, and they were yellow but I don't know what from - couldn't taste any cheese. Most of the problem is the way food is served. They arrange everything spread out on a large ceramic plate. Very stylish but the plates aren't warmed and they are a huge heat sink that just sucks all the life out of your meal. For the price, definitely not it worth it. I'd like to start by saying if you're dining in, this place is great. However, if you're picking up food to go, you're in for a surprise. I work across the street and I've ordered pick up twice, both times an eggs Benedict's. Both times my bene comes completely disheveled. When it's fallen apart and off the bread all the hollandaise soaks into the to go box and hardens up. The poached eggs end up breaking and the egg yolk soaks into the to box as well. I've attached a picture for reference. The box was upright and put in normal, so I'm not sure how it ended up looking like this. We were in Phoenix visiting/business. We picked the First Watch for breakfast and were very impressed with our server Patricia. She was awesome! Patricia was so polite, friendly, prompt and we liked her so much and enjoyed the food so much that we came back the next day for breakfast again. The food options were healthy and very good portion sizes. The first visit we had the farmers skillet hash, carrot cake pecan pancakes and the elevated egg sandwich. The second day we had the turkey omelette, turkey sausage biscuits and gravy and traditional breakfast. The potatoes were excellent! The morning meditation and blue booster juice drinks were wonderful. The coffee was the best we had in the area over the 5 day visit. Pretty poor example of a place that should have an understanding of breakfast. If you order scrambled eggs here they will not be scrambled only broken. You will have egg white chunks all throughout your eggs. If you want traditional scrambled eggs the way they are made most places on the planet the term they insist you use here is whipped. The management has no care in the world that this could bother some that truly want traditional scrambled eggs. I had them remake my scrambled eggs three times before they were edible. By the time the eggs were edible everything else was nice and cold. The extra star was for the kale now beverage that was pretty delicious for something somewhat healthy. read more

The food was ok. Pancakes were difficult to swallow. But what was worse is we chose to sit in the patio. Soon after the food was brought out 2 birds got very aggressive. They were small birds maybe wrens. They flew toward us, they flew over us and stood on the table and chairs. It made our breakfast experience very uncomfortable. APPARENTLY THIS LOCATION IS NOT DOG FRIENDLY.. STAY AWAY. I arrived early Sunday morning to enjoy a delicious breakfast on the patio with my pup as I've done many times before. I understand dogs aren't allowed inside however I asked for patio seating when I was rudely told by some bald guy that "only service animals were allowed, period." To the bald employee - either A. I just had probably the worst service experience of 2020 and I eat out ALOT. AND...I felt discriminated against. I think it's important that companies be accountable for how their servers treat their guests and First watch needs to be held accountable. It took 12 minutes before we were spoken to and asked for water or coffee. My husband had to get up and go ask someone. Fine...when the server approached her table she said it's after the the holiday and I'm trying. Honestly she seemed tired and hungover and unconcerned. And I am in the service industry I send servers home when they have this energy. We tolerated our mediocre to horrible exchanges with her end her energy and when I asked her to hold on so she could take my sausages to be cooked all the way through she asked me "why are you so mad". Really??? I ask you to cook my food correctly and I'm mad. Nice try but these are classic racist things said to black women when they ask for things. It was offensive and classic racist rhetoric. Needless to say we asked for a manager and she attempted to fix it but really made excuses so we left. I think it's important to share these experiences because companies should no longer get away with employing people who treat certain customers disrespectful. Terrible experience.
