First off, I wish there was a 0 star option because this place doesn't even deserve one. Before I start to go into detail, if you have any interest in eating breakfast in this area, walk your happy a** across the street and go to Denny's. Now, walking up to the front door it smelled like a sewer pipe had just broke and the air around me was engulfed with nasty old fat guy farts. I wish I would've gone to Denny's that second but my wife thinks it's too redneck. We finally get a table and it takes 17 minutes for the waitress to come and take our drink order. When we get the drinks she asks for our food order (by the way they don't have sweet tea, and the unsweet tea here sucks... sugar can't even fix that horrendous concoction). The only thing that looked somewhat appetizing was the tomato basil soup, so I ordered it and it took them 45ish minutes to make a soup that tasted like it came from a Hienz ketchup bottle. At this point I am ready to walk out because I am so tired of the terrible customer service and even worse food and drinks. If it wasn't for a few cute Texas Tech college girls that walked in as we are eating, I would've stood up from the booth and walked to Denny's. All in all, don't let the "cute" pictures on the wall and the aesthetic furniture fool you.. Go to Denny's and eat for half the price, twice the food quality, and 5x the customer service. read more

Long wait for food, mediocre quality, depressing interior, high prices. We arrived at 7 am this morning, and we were the second table to be seated. About 10-12 other groups ambled in and were seated. All other tables were served before we were, even though we had ordered promptly from their regular menu. I asked the server what we ordered that took so long (so we wouldn't order that item again in the future) and the reply was "we just got slammed with customers." No apology was offered. I would think they would know that on a Saturday morning they will get customers, but they seemed surprised and unprepared. Their coffee was the worst I've ever had. My pancake was cool, chokingly dry, and overcooked--the butter wouldn't even melt--and my sausage was mediocre. I didn't want to seem as though I wanted something for free, so I waited until after we paid and mentioned it to the clerk. She said the pancakes always take the longest...but that would mean that my food should have been fresh and hot and the other meals lukewarm, wouldn't it? She didn't apologize, and acted like it was a great inconvenience to her. In my opinion, she at least could have offered to pass the info along to the manager. Couple the poor food quality and the combatant attitude with their depressing interior and exorbitant prices = we won't go back, ever, and we were sorry we tried them today. read more

Don't waste your time unless you have a couple hours to waste. Food just mediocre and limited in taste with a lot of filler onions, peppers etc. not the main ingredient like salmon, chorizo, sausage. We dined at First watch today. There were 4 adults and one child. First we asked them to sweep under our table. It was gross with food and silverware. That was never done. Just was looked at like we were crazy. When I ordered my salad I asked for a few toppings in the side. The waitress response was "Are you serious!" There was something wrong with everyone's meal; old crusted cheese, no bacon on a sandwich, cold eggs, stale bread etc. we asked for the manager...he blamed his staff. We were busy and are short staffed. Blah blah blah. Don't make excuses, just make it right. He did comp our meal, which was nice, but I don't think we will be back. I was shocked at the staff...they need to go back for some more training. read more

Nice place with outdoor seating, great on a PHX spring day. Had Shrimp and Grits special, it was very good and portion was large for the price. My wife had Honey Pecan salad, it alao was large and with the honey dijon dressing, it was excellent. Pleasant service that took care of us well. We will be back. read more

I love the menu! So many wonderful and creative options and my mouth drools over the eggs Benedict. This is why its so sad when staffing and service issues gets in the way of this great food! I was seated at a dirty tAble with water and coffee mugs from the previous patrons. The table was unwiped/sanitized. It took a long time for our server to get around to us so we ordered drinks and food altogether. She cleared away previous patrons cups when she brought our drinks because i asked if the coffee caraffe was for us. She never brought the condiment caddy so i went and grabbed one for myself as i like cream with my coffee. Food was delivered to us by another waitress and the order was wrong. I pointed it out instantly which was a good thing because our meal was done by the time the waitress made it back to see if we liked our food. The food was really yummy. We stopped here on our way to Sedona. Reviews looked promising but I was skeptical when I saw the building (a little too IHOP/chain vibe). Our server, Angie, greeted us offering kale tonics and avocado toast. What the what? Am I in back in Berkeley? The food was very good and very fresh (as the corporate signage promised). It is a chain, come to find out. But it did definitely have a Berkeley-esque menu... açaí quinoa power bowls, berry brioche toast and cold brew coffee. This place has been a favorite of ours ever since it opened in our part of town. I love the fresh, seasonal offerings and variety of healthy menu items. The fresh juices are always amazing and refreshing. My daughter loved the cinnamon roll waffles when I brought her there for her birthday. My husband is picky about his eggs and they have always been cooked to perfection for him. I also love the avocado toast and the quinoa bowl. Servers and hostess always super friendly and provide a pleasant overall experience even when they are very busy, which is the case almost every time we have been here.
