    Biscuits in Turkey Sausage gravy
    Alexsis A.

My my My.......Mmmmmmmh Myyyyy! :-) This restaurant is a gem. I love the chalk on the blackboards! Not only is it inviting and easy read but beautiful to look at. Now, I must say the metal along the bottom part of the walls are a turn off. It makes it look weird. As rust has settled in parts of the restaurant (randomly) and I didn't really want to touch it with my arm. Anywho, the food and drinks were served quickly. I ordered biscuits in Turkey Sausage gravy with scrambled eggs& cheddar cheese, and seasoned home fries. Let's get into it! The best part of the meal was the biscuits in gravy. Myyyyyy Lawwwwd......it was perfect! My mouth was singing praises at the first bite.the biscuit was buttery, soft, flaky and just down right delicious. I kept eating til there was no more. The eggs...ehhh! I ordered scrambled hard with black pepper and cheddar cheese. It lacked the black pepper. But there's a black pepper grinder on the table. It did the job....I guess. The other dishes were talked about also! My Mom loved the pickled onions paired with the avocado and crab meat. My son loved the French toast, sausage (a little spicy but tasty) and a scrambled egg with cheese. He ate every last drop. My plate was thee only one with food on it. Ohhhhh, I almost forgot! I ordered the pomegranate sunrise and my my my....it gave everything! I needed that delicious cocktail .

First visit to this location. Arrived a little after 11 am on a weekday. Minimal wait to be seated. The menu includes breakfast and lunch specialty items. After checking out lots of menu choices I went with the roast beef sandwich and substituted grits for my side. After a short wait, my meal was brought to the table. The grits were good. Not the best I've ever had, but good. Liked the flavor of the roast beef sandwich. Server was efficent and friendly.

Love! My friend and I went here for breakfast Saturday morning and it was so good! I love the ambience. They managed the wait list really well. Didn't take long to be seated. I tried their morning meditation juice and it was phenomenal! I got the avocado toast and fruit and also wasn't disappointed. I would definitely go back. They kept filling our coffee and we didn't have to ask once, which was awesome.

I'm not sure where to start. I eat at the first watch on Glenwood all the time and have not had any problems! This was the worst experience I've ever had at a first watch. It took about 25 minutes for us to get our food, which is very abnormal. When we did get our food as you can see from my picture, it was insufficient. A half piece of toast and one egg for $12 doesn't suffice. Not to mention the waiter dumped a whole glass of water on my daughter and barely apologized. He did bring extra eggs because of my complaint but we had already finished eating. My daughter's pancake was cold as was her eggs. I would've thought the waiter would've offered some kind of concession because he dumped the water all over my daughter, but he did not. All this to say we will never go back to the first watch on Capital blvd. .

We were here for Mother's Day, which is to say one of the busily days they have. First off I give great kudos to the management and staff for handling this crazy crowd! Yes, there was a wait and yes it was loud and crazy! The food was good, the mimosas flowed and we had a great time. I do recommend giving them a try on a normal day, not a holiday if you want a less hectic experience for your first visit but do try them. Great menu selection!

I have been hearing great reviews about this restaurant so I decided to try it today. There is an option to join the waiting list through the Yelp app to save time. I did not use this feature so we had to wait for about ten minutes to get a table on a Saturday afternoon. Once we were seated our server, Autumn, came by a short time later. The restaurant is decorated with colorful modern decor and has tables and booth to sit in. I ordered the smoked salmon & roasted vegetable frittata. The frittata is typically served with a salad and cibatta toast but I substituted the salad and bread and got the potatoes with gluten free toast. I also ordered a side of bacon. I was brought over a side of regular bacon but I wanted to try the signature million dollar bacon that i had heard so much about. A new order of bacon was brought out quickly. The bacon was good but basic okay just tasted like bacon with syrup on it. We didn't taste the brown sugar, pepper or the cayenne. The frittata was combination was great and the chive cream drizzle meshed perfectly with the flavors. The salmon was fresh and the potatoes were good but a few of them were not cooked completely. My friend got the traditional breakfast with is sever with eggs, toast, toast, and they got ham as their meat. Our server was friendly and answered all of our questions. She was also very attentive. I would definitely return on day!

We had a lovely brunch today. The service was great, the tables are spaced apart and the restaurant is light and airy. I had the tri-athlete and it was delicious. Filling and healthy. The fruit cup was amazing, fresh and nice size pieces . All in all a great meal.

It tasted so good I had to go twice!! I love that I can add myself in a waiting list prior to me getting there. Tried new things and it was great!!! The waffle was light and fluffy!! The orange juice for the mimosa was freshly squeezed!! The bacon was great!! Parking not an issue. All of the employees were really nice and our waitress even better. Most definitely coming back again. Great brunch place!! Would tell everyone to go!!

I had placed my order online for pickup: 2 sandwiches, omelet & bacon + tip for $45.00. I would say I'm highly disappointed especially when this is how empty my sandwich came out (I only took out the tomato because I ended with the end portion)

Pumpkin donut holes after dipping and eating a few. Super yum!

Deeeelicious! We popped by here solely based on the fact we were hungry, in the area and had great reviews. So happy we came! It was jumpin but we were seated within 5 minutes when we were told it would be 20. Tons of options on the menu from fresh juices, to creative breakfast dishes and sandwiches. Oh did I mention seasonal favorites too?! So much goodness. We tried the following: Kale tonic- freshly made, healthy deliciousness that was not overly kaley or overly sweet. Pumpkin donut holes- the bomb! Just the right amount of sweetness served warm with a light dusting of cinnamon sugar served with two sauces. Truffle mushroom hash- tasty!! Loaded with mushrooms, onions, bacon, cheese, potatoes and eggs topped with arugula and the light parm cream sauce and truffle oil. Only thing I added was hot sauce because why not! So good. Farmhouse skillet with a side of bacon- another tasty scramble served with freshly fruit and some delicious soft yet perfectly toasted bread! Chikichanga - think of a chimichanga/fajitaish beauty wrapped in eggs to create a dish loaded with flavor and served with fresh fruit and fresh, seasoned potatoes. Good portion sizes but slightly on the pricey side but then again it is all fresh and tasty. You get what you pay for. Good service too - not an overly friendly waitress but she was attentive. We have found our brunch spot and will be back!

Normally the food is delicious, but their to go option is hit or Miss. My frittata was good, but the "seasoned" potatoes were disappointing.

We've been on a trying new burger places kick lately and this has been on the list…read more Maybe it's when we went, since it was around 11:30, but the man behind the counter immediately greeted us. We'd already been looking at the burgers online and knew we wanted to try the Bourbon Bacon and the Cajun, so those are what we got. We split them, and both were very good. So, I'm dining out with my youngest daughter who doesn't like a thick burger, but prefers the thin ones, or a smashed one. These are sort of smashed or thin, but you get 2. I really enjoyed both, but the Bourbon Bacon was amazing. This is NOT lean beef, nope, it's the kind you'd use at home to make a good, flavor-filled burger, and they are just that! The fries are good, and you get plenty. However, when I go back, I'm going to request they crisp them up a little more. They also didn't seem to have been salted, but easy fix. If I'm going to dip a fry, I want a mixture of ketchup (Heinz only) and Texas Pete. The Heinz was on each table, along with salt, pepper, and napkins (and you're going to need them), but the hot sauce was I'm guessing Frank's red hot........which is fine, and they had 2 full bottles of that. It was clean. The staff was friendly. The food was very good. Again, the ONLY problem for me, and it's just me, is I'd want the fries slightly crisper, but hey, I know for the next time. No pictures, but we were getting them in our mouths too fast.

Burger was good, that was the only good thing. First,…read morevacuuming/floor cleaning the whole time, very loud, can't hear anything going on. Second, ordered, and paid for(!), creamy ranch and ketchup ($0.50 for ketchup). There's a printed sign in bold and underlined saying you need to pay for your sauces with your sides or they are ALL $0.80 after checkout. Didn't get either. Walked up, waited a minute for anyone to realize I was there because it was so loud in the restaurant, (they only realized I was there and came out of the back when someone else walked into the store and the door chimed.) and said verbatim "I paid for ranch and ketchup", got handed ranch then the dude said the ketchup is on the table. Why did we pay for ketchup then, give me a cup at least???? I was already annoyed but whatever it's only 50 cents. Then they messed up some other couples order while we were there too, and were arguing with the customer. Overall terrible service, every customer in the building was frustrated and unhappy. Not to mention they left their tea brewing urn/canister on top of the machine and left their machine on wasting power, even though it wasn't actively brewing. Yikes. Also, didn't like the posters everywhere passive aggressively degrading the customers. One said "the tables are for your burgers, not your elbows!". Weird... All in all, your employees need to start working on their customer service.

Y'all, why has it been so long since I've eaten here? I've been wanting fried chicken (yeah, I…read morecould cook it, but so much work), and then my daughter made herself a waffle the other night...........so I HAD to go. We got there around noon, and it was popping. I mean, it's a Wednesday and very busy, but no wait. We each got the chicken and waffles. My daughter had asked if they would give her regular butter, since she's not a fan of strawberries.............but she enjoyed the strawberry butter very much. I'm sure we could have split it, but nope, we each got it. Half a chicken, cut into the individual pieces, and that huge, fluffy, flavorful waffle with that nice scoop of strawberry butter. We brought our limited leftovers home, yes, we mostly ate our food. For a place with a pretty extensive, but not huge, menu, it is good. The chicken and waffles though are awesome. Our server was Jonny, and he was fast, efficient and pleasant. We hope to visit again soon, very soon.

The Metro Diner is always busy, so I did expect a little bit of a wait. I was told 20-25 minutes…read moreand waited that long outside. Then, I moved inside to see what the delay was, and the host tried to seat me at the counter. Really? I'd been waiting 30 minutes, and you won't seat me at the empty table. So I declined and said I'd wait for my table. I never got a notice on my phone either, so what was the point of that system if you need to be inside the small waiting area to be called? I could see the open table, but I was not seated for another ten minutes. They didn't want me at the big table. Then it was interesting to watch all the staff walk by and ask who had my table. How do they not know which tables each person has? Someone eventually came by, asked if I'd been helped, and took my drink and food orders, since I'd been waiting quite a while. I ordered a half-and-half tea. I'm not sure she knew what that was, as she kept saying "unsweet". The first tea was half-and-half, but the refill was unsweetened. I went with the chicken pot pie, as that is what caught my eye. I expected a delicious dish, but what I received was disappointing. The ratio of the chicken, gravy and veggies was way off. I'd say there was enough low-quality processed chicken for three to four people, a little gravy and even less veggies. I had a bowl of processed chicken cubes with a splash of sauce, not what I had in mind. I usually skip the pastry part, but I ate that as I needed something other than chicken. I left some of the chicken in the dish. The waitress didn't even offer me a to-go box. It was that bad that I wouldn't eat it anyway. My check was brought out soon after I got my food. I don't understand the rush, but bringing the check early won't get me out any faster and lowers your tip. This was just a really bad experience, and I don't see myself returning. I have liked the food in the past.
